I have sent the DS 3032 Via Email successfully. And NVC had responded already.
The IV and AOS invoice are generated and I have paid for them online today. They are in progress.
Howver, I have not received the hardcopy of the NOA 2.

What can I do?

DO I NEED THE NOA 2 FOR THE PETITION PROCESSING IN THE FUTURE?

Best places to get translations that arent $39 a page?

I don't speak Spanish. My husband speaks both Spanish and English but we wanted our documents to be translated by a third party. We had everything done in Peru. It was much cheaper and was very professional looking. We had his high school records translated in the United States and it was significantly more although we did use someone who was a member of the Carolina Association of Translators and Interpreters. You could offer a College kid or a Spanish teacher to translate it for a more acceptable price.

You can earn the money to sponsor your fiancee. It will be very tough but you really only need to prove that you are making the required amount when filling. When I filled for my husband I wanted to be the only sponsor. At the time I was a full time graduate student and in order to make enough money I worked a full time night job and two part time jobs. I worked 7 days a week and picked up every odd job I could. That year I barely made the income requirements (I took 3 months off to get married), but because my income from the 3 jobs was way above the requirement my husband was granted the visa.

When I was applying for my husband I was working 1 full time job and 2 part time jobs. I took 3 months off durind the year to get married so had to make up for that income. In 2008 I just made enough to sponsor my husband (I mean like $100 over the line). However, I sent evidence that my salary for my three jobs was double the amount needed to sponsor my husband. I had no problems.

So as long as you make over the amount required to sponsor your spouse and can show that you are currently making enough you should be fine. I don't think they care about your work history and how many jobs you have taken and left as long as you can show that you are employed and make enough. Hope that helps.

A background issue - to postpone or not to postpone?

I recommend you jump through those hoops and listen to the lawyer. While the Lima embassy is not as difficult as many others I have heard cases where visa applicants have been put through the ringer for lesser things. Good luck.

That's exactly the point. It "so happened."

It wasn't chance. I spent a long time studying immigration laws both on this site and off. My case was very straight forward we married for love and no other reason. We had many things in common and nothing to cause red flags. There was no reason to deny it.

I was at my husband's interview and bought his ticket before hand. I was 100% sure he would get his visa. I left a week's time for him to say good bye to his family and incase of any problems. If you have to, you can always change the ticket information. Good luck! :thumbs:

Where is my NOA 1????

Hello VJ members... I need your advice or experience

I sent my I-129f on April 12 to the Lewisville, TX lockbox, on April 13th I received confirmation from Fedex that the package has been delivered.

Today is April 26, it has been 13 days already and based on other posts I should had received the confirmation email, text or even the hard copy of the NOA 1 at this point; even the check has not been cleared.

What do you recommend? Should I resend the package? Any other April filers in here with similar experience?

That's not really unusual. I would give it another 2 weeks and if you get nothing then give them a call. Remember USCIS doesn't work weekends or holidays.

I mailed my I-751 on Feb 28 and never received NOA 1 but I know my case is being processed.

highlighters??

Thoughts about using a highlighter on dates and names on the copied boarding passes, passport entry and exit stamps, and hotel invoices so the adjudicator can quickly find what they need on each page?

1 passport photo for petitioner and 1 passport photo for beneficary, correct?

I did that on photocopies of my profs, but not original documents. Didn't have any problems.

What to do when post - NOA2 (RFE) takes too long

We got RFE on April 18th and send the response the next day. The CSC has had my response since April 22. As days go by I am getting really impatient, but not sure if there is a way to expedite this step. The standard RFE processing time is 60 days, but from what I can see, the average time is a week (+/- few days). When should I start calling? I cant wait for 60 days

Did you track the package? Are you sure they received it? You could always call them and ask if they received it.

No Vaccination records - Peru

Another possible option, si man: If he has seen the same doctor or gone to the same clinic over the years, perhaps a vaccination record can be reconstructed through mutual memory, or actual or partial medical records. If there's doubt in regard to whether he did or didn't receive an inoculation, play it safe and get it again.

My husband had the same problem, no vaccination records. He told the doctor this and was given some of them again. It wasn't a big deal. Didn't add alot to the medical exam. I wouldn't worry about it.

confused about when to send the AOS packet

Look at my time line. I paid the fees as soon as I saw them posted on the online payment form. That took about 2 days for them to receive the paid status. Once they showed paid I printed the coversheet and mailed them into the NVC. I had called the NVC and they said that they sent an information packet out so I think I am ok. I think that rule is more to warn people not to send their paper work before they have paid the fees. Just my two cents.

Questions Re employment and residence for the past 5 years??

For my I-130 I accounted for my job history for 5 years. For example:

Walmart 9/01/08-current
Unemployed 7/01/08-9/01/08
Target 3/01/06-7/01/08
Unemployed 1/01/03-3/01/06

That is an example of how I did mine. I left no gaps in time and had no problems. If you need more space note it on the 1-130 and attach another sheet of paper to the I-130.

The photos you have are too small and I would not send them. I believe you only need one but its been a while since I filed.

There is information on that site about the passport photos that you need. Show it to your spouse so they know exactly what the photos need to be like. Also, have he/she send you a few extra in case they are lost.

Sometimes it can take the NVC up to 2 weeks to respond from an email...or so i have heard...When i sent my husbands I emailed it twice and received automated reponses a week later. As good measure I also sent the DS-3032 via regular mail.

I read the same thing but decided to give it a try. I intended to resend the email on the date the DS-3032 was generated just in case but listened to the automated system and found out it was accepted on the date it was generated.

You can email it before it is generated. It is much faster that way. I emailed it when I got my case number and on the day it was generated they accepted my emailed version. That let them send out my AOS fee bill on the same day.

Wrong middle name in NOA2

My husband's last name was misspelled on NOA2 and I called USCIS. They wouldn't help me and were pretty rude. Told me I had to call the NVC because that is where the petition was sent. I called the NVC but never got any written notice that it was corrected, however all written notices since then have the correct spelling, so I guess it worked.

In my case there was no harm in emailing the DS-3032 before it was generated. If you are worried email it and then send in the form they sent you. Also, they will not give you the IIN#. It is against their policy so the only way you will get it is if someone gives it to you on accident. I ended up waiting to receive mine in the mail. Took about 2 or 3 days. But once you have that number you can pay AOS and once IV is generated you can pay it immediately.
