Canada	Advice on Choosing a Wedding Date	I agree, do not book until you have ur visa in hand. And once here, check out the requirements for getting a marriage license in your state. And ask how long it is valid. We have one for only 10 days and then we were in the hurry of finding a courthouse and a minister since we were also moving in that time. At least that's my strategy. I was supposed to travel on the 9th, and on the 8th it was postponed to the 16th. Today i had to postponed to the 26 and when i get home i found out the appointment is for the 29. I do not want to reschedule the appointment because even if i have a return ticket if this thing (an oil well) keeps postponing, i will not be here for that time either. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Biometrics second time	Hi everybody, I am an October's filer for ROC and just did my biometrics today at the ASC for the second time.One month ago, I received the second biometrics appointment letter stating that my first biometrics could not be read by the FBI and then gave the appointment date for a second biometrics. The biometrics technician ,while doing my fingerprints, told me today that she is pretty sure that this time will not work neither. Did somebody have this kind of experience that the second fingerprint could not be read by the FBI and in this case, what will happen next ? I would appreciate if somebody would share his or her experience and knowledge on the matter. Thanks. I had the biometrics for second time. And I was also told that if the first time failed the second one will also. But it did not. As a matter of fact I got today the green card. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	September 2009 I-751 filers	Congratulatins to those getting approvals. Just to let you know, yesterday I did a walk-in in Oklahoma City. They received me after 4 hours of waiting since they said they were pretty busy that day. Anyway, the lady that I had to talk said than when someone has problems with the fingerprints end-up getting another letter asking for fingerprints on the places I have lived, and most probably and interview (i think she said since they have problems matching the fingerprints). Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	September 2009 I-751 filers	mrc, the number in the NOA is not the number that you will use to track your application in the internet. A different number comes in the biometric letter and with that one you can check your status. if you read carefully your NOA it says to wait until the biometric letter. Ladies, want to hear an advice: if you want to have good fingerprints take care of your hands...of course the same apply to guys. by the way, the new DL was supposed to be renewed for one year with the extension letter, I got my until 2013! They also cashed the check on the 9th and looking at the online banking, the check was in fact deposited in CSC's account and I could see a handwritten number in front of it that starts with WAC (which I assumed the case number). I know I shouldn't be like this since I still see some August filers with no NOA, but I cannot help getting worried and it's sickening. My husband thinks I am such a worry-wart. I even beat him to the mail box every morning. Here is a crazy idea. You have everything to proved they received but the letter. My husband and I travel frequently and we have to stop the mail. When we resumed i received all kind of mail that was sent to our address not matter to whom. Maybe they did not spell your name correctly and they are not delivering it. Nanusia & Lukaszek, One of my bosses is a lawyer, and I asked her if the affidavits need to be notarized or sworn and sign were just Ok. First the lady asked me for the papers, i prepared a nice folder well organized but she told me to give it paper by paper since the window was so small that the binder could not pass! Then she asked me if I overstayed any previous visit to the US (i did not ) and if for us was going to be the first marriage and if we have or not kids. She took only four pay roles, the W2 and 1040 and give me back the letter from the bank and the employer. And when it came to the evidence i gave her first a group (that just by coincidence was before we got engaged) and when i wanted to give her the next group she told me that it was enough! Then after some time the Consul called me and asked me: - how long was my longest stay in the U.S. - if i have lived in another country - how long i stayed in U.K. (I still do not have any idea why they care about U.K! ) - how we met - if for us was going to be the first marriage. She had the pictures we sent in the I-129 package apart and she look at them giving me back at the same time, she hardly took a glance to the evidence i gave and she gave me back almost without looking at them. Then she told me that i was going to be approved and to go and pay in DHL for the delivery. It was really easy, at some point i was a little dissapointed for having prepared the binder and the evidence and they do not care. Even when she asked me the questions she was not very interested on the answers, mostly she put attention to my visits to the U.S. Now i am waiting for my visa printed in my passport and in my hand! You have to have a lot of patience in this process, it takes some months but we thing that doing the right thing is all the time better and will pay some day. Most of the time people got the NOA2 by email before the snail mail. In our case we search every day the USCIS web page to see what was going on and there we saw the approval before we got the email and the snail mail. Do not worry for doing the right thing, we had all this waiting, he is finally coming to go together to the US, but let me tell you that i did not have any problem at the interview. I entered to the US with my tourist visa at the end of october, i was going to visit my boyfriend, the US citizen and the guys at inmigration gave a hard time (with a second interview waiting for almost 2 and half hours) since they werent so happy that I came to visit my boyfriend with a tourist visa. I explained several times that he was not my fiance yet and after those hours they called my boyfriend who replies exactly the same as I was. After 2 weeks we got engaged and we went to ask to inmigration people by phone and with interviews and what they told us is that since I entered with that second interview if we got married there it was going to be a big mistake since they made the fiance visa K1 to get married. They even let me stay more days, they just gave me 30 days. I am also from Ecuador, and since we have passed from that, I will just tell you not to take the risk, since these guys told us that it will be a big black mark if we started the K3 visa.
