g'morning everyone. i heard them canadians love their coffee so i look for pics of large coffee pots or cups biggrin.gif

now if i can just find one of a water tower looking like a tim horton's coffee cup. devil.gif

laughing.gif

Carla, why do you guys have to get up at 4!!

We don't have to get up at four! laughing.gif We get up at 5 am usually, because Gene has to be at work by 6 a.m. and I like to get up with him to see him on his way, and I make his breakfast and lunch for him while he's getting ready. This morning, we just both woke up at 3:30 a.m. and had some snuggle time, then we thought, heck, we'll just get up! No sense trying to fall asleep and then be woken up by that darn alarm in an hour again! laughing.gif

We'll probably be in bed at 8:30 pm tonight. blink.gif

Were up at 0445 in the week day, so wife can be out the door for work. I just feel guilty staying in bed, so I get up, and quite enjoy it! She could go into work later, then would have to fight traffic!!

Happy Solstice Every-One!
it's early this year...clicky

Trailmix and most of you here, I want to tell you that when I stopped at Tim Horton's in Ontario on my drive to Montreal, all I could do was this about this site and all of you. Hahaha! And no, I still will not ingest Coffeemate, however....no matter how fond I am of you. laughing.gif
Timmy's coffee is weak.

My partner and I are moving this weekend.
(Thankgoddd there is no regatta scheduled, although I did turn down a few teams' requests.)
Yup, I am going to go out to hunt for boxes for (mostly) his stuff, I hardly unpacked.
I will probably hardly unpack when we move too because my ultimate destination has not been reached yet. tongue.gif
It's funny, I hardly have any belongings left anymore and still...it is still too much shtuff.
Sailing gear, and other sports gear take up space, and my other hobbies (art supplies, beads, paper-making & bookbinding stuff to start, phew!) would take up a lot if I didn't keep uncluttering.

I just want a simple existence.
wink.gif

Perhaps being close to the Lake will assist in me finding some peaceful moments.

I hope all of you are well and Happy Summer!!!

One has a right to see the HOA agreement prior to purchasing, and its usually one of the items one puts in the sales contract, so if ya don tlike what ya see, you can back out! Plus when purchasing I'm one of those people that knocks on various houses throughout the neighborhood to get a fee of everything. Would preferably not reside in a HOA area, but those seem to be in the minority out where we are looking. But on the other hand, everything seems to be in nice shape and no purple houses, lol

Oh I agree, im not a big HOA fan, but the facts are, people just dont care about other people, if they did, HOA would not be required!! And yes some HOA do get carried away with the laws. Our condo association is pretty mellow, so thats a good thing.

Yeah, the beauty of condo living!

My condo association is comprised of 17 small townhouse units on a private dead end drive, and the majority of the owners are young professionals who pretty much keep to themselves. But, the old HOA President's wife used to wake up at 5am every morning to compile a list of cars that were parked in driveways (this is a no-no). The driveways and common cul-de-sac are to be kept vacant for snow-clearing purposes. But this lady would enter all these license plates numbers into her spreadsheet and have her husband leave notes about not parking on people's windshields, and further violation would result in towing. Thank God they moved!

I can't wait to own a house where I can put my rusty pickup in the front lawn along with a boat and assorted bathtubs. good.gif

Oh, and $300 a year would be a steal! We pay $216 per unit per month sad.gif

What i was getting at, that many houses have HOA's as well. Just another thing to watch out for when buying. And not all HOA's are bad. I'm all for HOA's that keep vehicles off peoples lawns and junkers away as well. Im not spending big bucks on a house, to have some one neglect thiers, lol

We have a condo, and luckily our condo association is down to earth. But were looking to purchase a house next year, and surprisingly many of the neighborhoods have home owners associayions (HOA) I never expected that, I assumed it was more of a condo/townhouse thing and not your single family house! msot seem to be around $1000 a yr! crazy! My inlaws live in carrolwood region of Tampa, and they are in a HOA (just found that out) and they only pay like $300 a year. Always good and bad things about them!!

I had to leave a Canada--USA forum on yahoo, lol The mod figured she owned the right free speech and CORRECT info! I felt bad for some of the new people that joined (wasnt that big of a forum, and not very active) they passed out incorrect info and I tried to correct them. And to back up my correct info I quoted posts from VJ. Yhey really hated that, lol and then I started to notice my posts were taking forever to be posted, or they were not. She decided to limit what i could say!! Needless to say I left that group, lol

I guess one spaycheque may be taxed less here in the USA (not sure has I haven't worked yet, and I dont pay attention to wifes, lol) but they sure do find other taxes, like the car tax one!! And if one has to purchase private insurance, could be another $400 plus a month for that

Hey Flames, my Sister and her Husband and Son and the 2 border collies are heading for Calgary on the 21st, they will be there about a month as they are currently selling their house and they want to paint, put some drywall up in the basement, put new floors in the bedrooms upstairs etc etc etc - you could probably participate in like a basement painting party the week you are in Calgary!!

Thanks for the coffee Carla!

I'm thinking Maxwell House is okie dokie, I think we will buy this and when I get my coffee grinder out of the relocube I will buy some other beans as well smile.gif

Ah, the good ole relocube, I would really like to get my stuff out!

I have oodles of coffee from Columbia! Too bad my connection is no longer there, lol As well coffee from Nicaragua. Both are great!! Of course I put soo much cream in, doesn't really matter, lol But was sooo much cheaper there than here, even with mailing. Think I was paying like $1 or $2 per lb for the Nicaragua coffee.

Good Morning! I'm back from my 2 day training and it was incredible! Met some great people and attended some fantastic workshops. I've not had the time I wish I'd had to look at all the postings, but I'll try to catch up before the weekend. yes.gif Seems like lots of things have been happening. Trailmix, you made it safely and while I'm sorry that you couldn't stop in on your way, know that ONE day we'll all get together! Liz and Krikit, have fun on your travels! You have to take advantage of the great deals when you can. Miss Stacey, good luck at your AOS interview today, I'm sure you'll do wonderfully! Let us know how it goes! I'd better stop now or this post will be several paragraphs long. I think one of my last postings mentioned me testifying by phone during a hearing in Saskatoon. Well, the Judge said "nope!", so they're flying me back to Saskatoon for the hearing. yes.gif So, unless the accused takes a plea bargin, I'm flying in Monday and staying until next Saturday. This allow me time to testify, and see my kids, and all my friends back in Saskatoon. kicking.gif I'm excited! Here's coffee....

Whooooo! I am glad you had a great training session, Carla! Welcome back! And that is AWESOME that they're going to fly you back! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! kicking.gif

Well we are in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee. We are just about to go out and find something to eat.

Our car broke down today, overheating, on the highway. We think it is a hose, but of course hard to say. Anyway we sat on the side of the highway for about 2 hours waiting for the tow truck. It was about 80 degrees, but luckily my Husband was able to add enough water so that we could drive on the shoulder of the road up to some shade, then get out of the car and sit in the shade.

So this place is about 30 miles out of Chattanooga, nice little town, the Ford people gave us a shuttle service to the motel, there are like 3 here and this is the only one that will accept a cat (he even drove us to the other 2 to check - very nice man).

Anyway, off to find food!

Find some good BBQ!! smile.gif

BBQ and a big bottle of Tequila!!!
