Ac is my friend!!! I use it a lot,lol

barton House--best apartment building I haver ever lived in!! They explained to me that with their furnace/AC system they could not just turn it back and forth, so once they made the swtich to AC,one had no heat, thus they had to be sure no cold weather was going to return, plus it was an $$$$$$ thing. I can just imagine what a company charges for that, when it cost me $260 for 5 min of work and most likely a $5 part (which they chargd $125,lol)
Flames9_RNMaleCanada2008-04-24 07:24:00

Barton House didnt turn their Ac on till like mid May!! Was a pain!
Flames9_RNMaleCanada2008-04-23 20:01:00

That was one thing I disliked about apartment living--when they turned on the AC!! At barton House i think they have to have like so many days in a row of 75 (maybe 80) higher before they would turn it on.

Oh ya,----I'm in the wrong business!! My AC wasnt working---more specifically my heat pump!! So I called a company--Mr.Heat Pump, lol very professional, nice guy, answered all my questions, so that part was great, can't complain and give the guy a 10/10, BUT he only did like 5 minutes of work, and was charged $140 for labor, lol Its $95 just for them to show up, and thats only for 30 minutes, think its $45 for every 30 minutes after that!! As soon as he took off the cover plate on the heat pump unit, he saw the problem, the Ocapacitator was fried!! But he didnt have 1 with him, so he had to drive a mile to the office and pick another up! Then simply plug in the new one! that part was $125!! It actually took him longer to write up the bill than the actual work, lol THEN he tries to sell ya one a service agreement. For $300 a year, one gets two visits to check out ur heat pump and furnace and 10% off parts!! And off course that would be on top of the $260 I just forked out,, hmmm don't think so! My units fairly new and dont plan on being here much longer. Not sure what other companies would have charged, but the few I did phone said it was in the $100 range just to show up!! Guess I shouldn't complain to much, the fellow was very nice. Would I use them again, probably yes. So is this really a vent? sort of,lol

I do love my Dysons!! bed bath & Beyone always has those 20% off coupons! I used that when I bought my Dyson!! And I have done a test with my dyson!! My brother in law lives inthe same condo complex. So when he was gone I vacuumed his place with his hoover vacuum. Took my time and made sure it had picked up what it could. THEN i brought over my Dyson, and WOW it picked up soo much more dirt/debris!! The only crappy thing about the Dyson and any other cannister typer vacuum is when u goto dump out the collected debris!! But on the other hand, ur not paying for bags! had ours for over a year now and still does a great job. Well worth the $$$$ BUT if ur a chick, please do th epublic a favor, and allow ur husband to drive to the store to purchase the vacuum! lol innocent.gif

WALMART $4 drugs http://www.walmart.c...mPageCatId=5431

TARGET: http://sites.target....Id=PRD03-004319

KMART: http://www.kmart.com...0 Day?adCell=A3

And if the dr can't find a suitable drug from them, one can probably still get the drug cheaper at target/walmart than from a small chain drug store!!!

exactly, one can goto target and probably walmart and Kmart and see their "cheap" drug list online!! I know target has their $4 prescription list online!! So print it off, see your dr, and see if he can find a suitable drug from that list!!

My clinical time right now is in a small clinic for people that have no insurance, thus many are very poor (and probably illegals, but I personally dont care, everyone deserves good medical help!!!!!) So us student Rn's see the patients, do the assessments and the Nurse practitioner sees them and if required prescribes meds!! what one pays for at the hopsital can be confusing. During last semesters Rotation at one hospital, one checked out supplies with a "price" scanner gun, the same kind hand held scanner l you see at target! And ya had to scan the item you were getting for ur patient, ie bandages, ice pack, tooth brush, etc etc. Some items the client got charged for, some they did not. But ya didnt want to be picking up needless supplies, as they may be getting charged for them!!

autumnchik,

Sorry to her that you have been having some memory fog - a friend of mine referred to it as her 'sometimers'. Just a thought - babies take a lot of physical energy out of their mother's bodies as they themselves grow. Could it be that your 'fog' is nutritionally based? That there is some level of nutrient or micro-nutrient that you are short of right now because it is supplying the baby's needs? It might be something to investigate and see if taking supplemental amounts of certain minerals or vitamins might help so that you don't go short.

That is a good idea. I am going to see my doctor on Wednesday and will ask him. I do take prenatal vitamins, but it does seem like the memory fog has gotten much worse in the last 2 weeks ... I wonder if it IS something I am not getting. Thanks for suggesting that smile.gif

I hope it's nothing serious but the only thing that comes to mind is gestational diabetes. It can sometimes produce the mental fog that you complain of and can progress as the pregnancy progresses and the hormone levels change. It frequently is worse in the third trimester and a sudden drop in blood glucose can be a signal that the foetus is getting ready to show. I'm sure you'll find out on Wednesday and, if it is gestational diabetes, it can easily be treated and is only a transient condition. good.gif Of course, the alternative is that your baby is really a brain sucking alien. blink.gif laughing.gif

Speaking of customer service, I meant to ask you guys - or those of you that have withdrawn money from an RRSP lately.

It was free to withdraw RRSP funds from TD. Then they decided to charge $25, now it is $50. Does your bank charge you to withdraw funds from your RRSP?

I'm talking your regular RRSP's here, not the ones locked in for a period of time or anything.

I cashed out my RRSP's held by TD all in 1 shot last yr and yes there was a "fee" to do so,plus they took off 25% (think it was 25%)for taxes

Im not sure--I didnt have a "real" job I was in the Cdn Air Force, lol, so not sure how the civy world operates. But to qualify for EI, one has to have a certain amount of insurable weeks, which I assume get translated into hours?? I'm in New York at the moment so dont have my ROE available to look at. On the EI website (google it) I'm sure on there it states on how many weeks (or hours) one must have to be able to qualify for EI. Dont just take their word on it, check into it on the website, (and on phone) as they do make mistakes!! As well ensure your ROE is correct. Hope it works out. Here is one site i quickly found, not sure if its worth much:
