The one arrived July 2nd but when the other still hadn't arrived today, I tracked it online to find out it has been sitting in Atlanta since July 1st. When I went to the post office to find out why they just said they had to wait for Atlanta to get enough mail to send to them and it would probably arrive in a few days. It has already been sitting there 8 days - I even offered to drive to Atlanta to pick it up. Another Grr - and a complaint on the USPS website. Then, it started to feel warm inside. We have the a/c set on 78 and outside it is in the 90s. I checked the thermostat and it was 81 inside. There was a star flashing on the a/c temperature so I went outside to check the air conditioner and it isn't working. I came inside, turned it off, checked the manual and there is no information. So I called some friends and found several who referred me to the same Heating and Air Conditioning service, so I have someone coming tomorrow afternoon between 1 and 5 to check it out. Tomorrow is supposed to get even hotter. Tonight is supposed to stay warm as well but there is a chance of thunderstorms - I hope they come because they will cool off the air and then when I open the windows we may get some cool air inside overnight. So, triple GRRS! And - of course, no one has looked at my I-751 file which is still sitting in Vermont while those who filed in California after we did are getting approved. (Might as well go for the whole hog while I am venting!). You wil have another vent when you see their bill!! I phoned a few when i had AC probs this year, and it was like $100 just to show up!! She sure is 1 starbucks fanatic!! I absolutely hated the mad rush to get in the section/class you wanted only to find out that it filled up in the first five seconds. Lectures were never a problem but labs and tutorials, stupid buggers! Try posting on the bulletin board or talking to the course professors and explain your situation, sometimes they'll allow you to transfer to their section. Good luck. One more thing Flames, I hope you signed up for a course in self-preservation because if my dear Sister Len shows up, you're going to need it. "We are here to mourn our poor friend Scott, who saw humour in associating Len with Starbucks. Unfortunately, she did not." I'll make sure you get a 21-cup salute. lol The head secretary was attempted to try and hold a spot for me, but by the time she logged in, they were full, oh well. i stil ended up with not a bad schedule, just not with the people I wanted. Do you see the same lactation consultant? Maybe one could see a different consultant? And yes, from my readings, some kids just are not breastfeeders. Maybe it is something you are eating that doesn't sit well with him--not trying to put the blame on you, not at all, but I may be wrong ( im many times,lol) but some of the taste of what you eats gets passed onto your milk, so it can change the flavor?? Something to ask the consultant Ya, I'm just throwing stuff out there,lol So when you pump your milk, do you give it him in a bottle later? I have read, that if you bottle feed as well,some babies find it very difficult then to breastfeed, as they prefer the bottle. But the important thing he is getting enough nutrition, breast or bottle. As well if there are any universities in your area that have a medical program, lot of them offer free services. yes you will speak to students, BUT we students are highly motivated and are supervised by a trained professional. Our school offers 3 free clinical sites, of course it is only manned a few days each week. One problem we guys have when it comes to communication is that we are FIXERS!!!!! When in most instances the spouse just wants the fellow to LISTEN!! So that can take a bit for the guy to get used to. What i do some times when my wife has a problem, i ask "Do you want me to fix it? or listen? And most of the times it is listen! And of course listening doesn't involve the TV being on with a can of beer,lol. The guy should ask questions every now and then, but not in a "fixer" way,lol Even if us guys just sat there and said nothing (and thought about hockey) but appeared to be paying attention, in most cases the spouse would be happy,lol Listening is such a powerful tool and many don't know how to do it. Canada	The Vent	its located in a small Spanish community. Like I said it is totally free--dont even get asked to make a donation--none is required as it is paid for by a VA grant to the school. And the students will love a english speaking person,lol as most of the clients are Spanish, which makes things very interesting,lol I can barely speak English!! So phone and see wht days the NVCC students are there. Culmore Clinic (it is in a brick apartment complex in the basement--its a community resource center) 3304 Culmore Court, Unit B Falls Church, VA 22041 703.379.5217 not sure if the # is current The medical clinic itself is only open a few days each week, usually Tues/Wed, but if ya phoned they could tell you The bad news, it is staffed by us student nurses, lol, BUT they just take down your information, take ur vitals, THEN you get to see a qualified Nurse Practitioner. If ya go, say hi from Scott (the canadain),lol Depending on the day, it could take a few hours. Clinic hours are normally 0830 - 1300. Either go early or go towards noon. I was there last semester, you will get excellent attention, just with only 1 NP, it can be a bit slow, and its totally FREE, and if all possible the NP will prescribe a drug from the target/walmart $4 prescription list. Are you giving the baby bottles as well? I was suprised of all the facts I learned about breastmilk. I just thought the milk that came out was the same, but no! The first milk that comes (foremilk)out is more quenching, and the hindmilk which is richer in fat and more satisfying, and that leads to weigh gain. Which is 1 reason why one should stick to 1 breast for a bit so they get the hindmilk!! I didnt know that, you probably do. And the more you breastfeed, the more milk you wil keep producing and reduce breast swelling,so many tid bits of info--sort of a study reminder for myself,lol Tips from my book on a baby that falls asleep while feeding: Rub babys hair or cheeks gently, stroke around mouth, or shift position to see if he wil wake up remove baby from breast,rub infants back to bring up bubbles of air and help awaken baby wash babys face with a lukewarm cloth to wake up baby And of course the mothers Nipples come into play as well. flat or inverted nipples can cause problems, but there are ways to fix that. This is just a bit of info, which you are probably very aware of. I do strongly recommend you see a lactation consultant,they have a wealth of knowledge. And if you decide to bottle feed, there is nothing wrong with that! yes moms milk is the best, but bottle milk is still a healthy choice, and your not a bad mom nor a failure!! Millions of babys are bottle fed, I was, and look how normal i am? lol And I hope you have someone you can discuss with about your baby blues, it is a real problem. your body has gone through soo many changes the past 9 or so months, hormonal levels going crazy and its a stressful (and joyful) experience.
