Canada	Hockey thread!	My Playoff predictions--Note predictions and who I cheer for may differ,lol Boston vs Mtl!! Boston has a great team, solid goaltending. Boston in 4 Caps vs rangers. Rooting for caps, and want them to win, but they lack solid netminding, and the rangers are solid in net. Say rangers in 6 (hope I'm wrong) Carolina/New Jersey. Carolina has been hot, Cam Ward is back to his great self, and Brodeur is no slouch either. Carolina in 7 Pittsburgh vs Philly. Pittsburgh in 4, new coach has them playing great hockey San Jose vs Anaheim. San Jose in 5 Detroit vs Columbus: Detoit in 6 Vancouver vs St Louis: Both temas have great goaltending, but loungo is just a tad better. Canucks in 7 Flames vs Blackhawks. I'm a flames fan, but Calgary hasn't been playing well due to injuries and having to sit people because of salary cap issues. Hawks have a lot of great young talent and solid netminding. Canada	Hockey thread!	damn Theodore!! I wasn't exactly pleased when the Caps picked him up. he played pretty crappy last night, just shoot to his blocker side, and u can count on a goal! The owner of the Caps was on the radio stn a few weeks back and he stated the season tickets for next season were selling extremely well. I'm too cheap and lazy, rather miss the crowded metro and $$ beer and watch from home for free,lol Maybe wil fork over some $$ and get tickets off of criagslist to watch 1 playoff game, but probably not. My flames have been sucking,and thanks to being sooo close to being over the salary cap, they have only been dressing 15 players! Not sure what happens for the playoffs. Not counting on them to go very far. My $$ is on the Caps, but that is depending on the quality of goaltending they get! Canada	Entering US with pending K-1?	My advice (traveled monthly to DC while the CR-1 was processing) 1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer 2) Be confident in ur replies 3)keep ur response short and to the point, dont tell ur life story!! 4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them! 5)pack light! No job resumes with you 6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc) 7) Always be polite, being rude isnt going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!! 8) have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didnt lie! Canada	K-3 or I-130 after marriage, husband in BC	welcome to VJ First of all look at here: http://www.visajourn...mp;page=compare each visa has its + and - and it is different for each person! I belive---and it may have changed that a k3 going through Vancouver may be a bit faster than a k3 that has to go through Montreal! a k3 going through Mtl is around the same time frame as a CR-1! Cr-1 is probably the least hassle of all the visas and maybe the less $$$$ But read the guides! here is the CR-1 timeframe tracking list to give u a ROUGH estimate of time : http://www.visajourn...showtopic=94768 Though there was a K3 1, but can't find it! A friend and her husband (still married) shared the same computer and she thought all was fine,then 1 day, she turned on the computer, only to find he hadn't closed down a page, and found a letter from his "friend" I think many have secrets, and not always in a bad way either. Canada	JOB INTERVIEW!!!	Ok!! I believe I may have (RN) job interview coming up very soon! I just finished my preceptorship on that unit ( A preceptorship is where ya work 1 on 1 with another RN, you work her schedule for the most part, very valuable experience, plus he/she gets to know you) So i sent an email to the unit manager stating I had a great learning experience,my preceptor was awesome, staff was great (will send a formal letter soon, on school letter head) Today I received an email back from her stating that she pleased my experience was a great one, and that my preceptor stated I did a great job and that i was to contact their nursing recruiting to set up an interview!! So I shall contact the recruiter tomorrow to set up an interview! Can anyone give me interview advice? I know to wear a suit, will shower,lol but more along the line of questions that I should be prepared for. Any advice is great! I truly liked the unit and the staff, and want to be prepared. Thanks. He may be a bit late to the airport, as he has to borrow his moms 1986 Dodge Horizon hatchback car, and he has to stop at the seamstress to get a patch put on his sweat pants!! Accommodations are at his parents place AND he will devote all his attention to you, as he does not have a job!! Thanks to VJ members, we do have $$$$ in the budget for aerosol body spray.
