CanadaWill This Be The Night
All depends on the player. I have listened to interviews and some have stated they enjoy leaving the game at the rink and not having their personal lives involved in the public eye at all times. And isnt the Leafs partly owned by the Ont teachers fund, so they are more concerned about profit than winning!! And hey, if your selling out with a crappy team, who cares! Its nowonder why TO doesnt want a Hamilton franchise so close by.

It was only the ducks, shouldnt even count as a full win,lol

I don't think many players want to play in Toronto. one is always under the microscope, and besides, its the leafs, lol

CanadaDenied entry to US - what would you do?
Agree with trailmix! Others that have been denied and that have been succesful visiting after that, as I recall were not photographed and finger printed, they were just told to voluntarily withdraw their entry into the USA and come back with sufficient ties to Canada. I would think since they photographed/finger printed, visiting may be a buit more difficult, but shouldn't cause you any harm at the interview. Just my 2 cents

The nice thing about being a dual citizen is that I can make fun of americans AND canadians, and yet still be just making fun of myself.

I'm dual, but completely ignore the fact I have my USA citizenship, lol Only time i admit to it is at the airport going thru security! lol

prob not a good idea, as they don't require any help from you, but you may need help from them, ie directions, language translation, etc.

I found the people of Mtl fairly nice, didnt talk to many though. Did manage to order a STARBUCKS latte with no problems!!

And stating ur going to act like a eally loud arrogant american" isnt going to win many over on here!! lol

http://en.wikipedia....ational_Airport

do they have google in Canada, lol just kidding. Answere: the same airport!! u can cath a shuttle that takes you right to the downtown hotels, around $26 round trip! Works very well

http://www.admtl.com...t/_aerobus.aspx

From airport to downtown train stn. From there u take a smaller shuttle to a downtown hotel. And just the opposite on ur return. 2 thumbs up

As other have stated, many have with no probs! BUT it all comes down to the POE officer. They all seem to interpret the rules differently. See below for my free advice.

My rental property dude was excellent, ex-Air force guy. I even cut the lawn a few times and in return he would drop off a case of beer, lol. When i left i dropped off a case of beer for him. Rent was like $395 for a 1 bedroom apartment in Greenwood NS, dirt cheap!1

CanadaH1N1 Vaccination
its only the flu! funny statement! flu kills thousands of people in the USA each year. Many times when people say they are sick with the "flu" they really are not, more than likely just a bad cold. hard to say what the outcome of the H1N1 is going to be. There have been many many deaths already from it, and it appears to be hitting the younger crowd, not so much the older crowd! Talking to our infection control people at the hospital last month, they were very concerned. Now am I going to get the H1N1 shot, not sure, I do get the flu shot every yr. Lot of great websites out there to get factual information about the flue and the H1N1. Just because it isnt in the news as much as it once was, doesn't mean it has gone away, the news tends to get bored with 1 subject and then the reporting fizzles out! One thing you should do, is WASH UR HANDS!!! can't wash them enough! Well if ur skin is falling off, maybe u have gone overboard, lol

Wear something "nice". Whatever you have that isn't jeans and a t-shirt should be fine. A nice dress, or slacks and a blouse. If you want to wear something distinctly Canadian, you could wear a tuque, or red underpants. Your pin is fine as well. I think Kathyrn41 wore one of those pins. Are you sure you want to take your baby? I read another person's review in the Citizenship forum and they recommended not to. It was a long, long day, and this person said if you had someone to look after your baby, then you should look into this. One person almost missed their name being called because they were gone looking after their baby during the ceremony. Anyway, don't over think this. Just wear what you would say at a job interview or something.

Good grief - how long is it? I was thinking I'd arrive, I'd be there an hour or 2 at most - please tell me they don't drag you through hours of stupidness???

I will just get my citizenship because it makes sense, not because I'm dying to be American in particular

Nvrmind - just found a nice review from Flames at the office I'll be going to. I don't plan to bring family or friends or anything, I guess I don't particularly think of it as a big deal....it's just something a i need to get done to make life easier

Flames.....
At the Fairfax VA office, there was seating for 100 applicants, but not a lot for family! Family were seated first (think some had to stay out in hallway) while we were processed downstairs! They didnt ask what countries we were from, the USCIS lady gave a brief statement on the do's don't with ur Naturalization certificate, passport info, naturalization if ur kids are under 18. Mentioned over 100 countries were represented in todays ceremony! Then the Judge came in, we did what had to be done and then 1 by 1, they called you up to get ur certificate. They allowed time for family to take pics, and the stressed and stressed they would be available for pics after the ceremony. She said USCIS has made you wait during this process,so now its our turn to wait, lol
I arrived at 0835, processing started around 0900, seated (upstairs) shortly after, ceremony started around 1010, and out the door at 1035! So approx 2 hours from start to finish at Fairfax VA office. I would guess there were about 70-80 new citizens. Lots of waiting around, so bring something to read.

Most of the time is spent waiting, so I say again, bring a book to read! Your journey begins on the 1st floor. They will tel lyou when to line up to hand in your paperwork. So fil that 1 piece of paper out. As well they take ur greencard! After that you go upstairs for the ceremony. Think I stated the rest in that thread. $5 to park, OR you can walk over from the orange line metro, its super close. If u walked out from the metro, it would be at ur "two o clock" across from the metro parking lot!!

I still bring in a yearly stool sample to test for the heartworm! But one doesnt need to provide this company a prescription from your vet! Same goes if you find a Canadian company, one of those loop holes. And some vets will match their prices

I partake in another forum(mainly just read), and 1 of the other forum members was on 1 of the HGTV shows--the one where they come into your house fix it up and see if it sells this time, think it is called Design to Sell. Its pretty much fake, lol Yes they did come in a fix it up, and the owner was pleased, but they never did sell the house, even though at the end of the show they stated they did!! The producers told them to say that! A few other white lies as well, but the owners did enjoy the experience

I had another Mp3 player which was fine, swore i would never get an IPOD!! Well as an early Bday gift, I got an Ipod Classic a few months back, and I must say, it rocks!! So easy to download music to it. I have yet to watch any TV on it. A very wel made product by Apple. I bought mine from Amazon.com, was cheaper than bestbuy. Costco has them as well, a bit cheaper than bestbuy. In relaity I probbaly didnt need the "classic" with the Screen, should have just gotten a smaller one like the nano (which still has a screen ) or possible the Shuffle!!
