Yeah, I saw a doctor in Canada.
They couldn't do anything for me... or they didn't want to. They just told me to get blood testing and never contacted me again. I contacted them and they never followed up with it. I can't see doctors here yet because I'm not married and on medical insurance.
I have emergency travel insurance, but I dont know if that's considered an emergency. I can understand if my throat is swelling up, but not my eye and finger.
The claiming process also looks like a pain in the #######.

And no, Sprailenes, I have not been abducted by aliens

Since u have no insurance, you could still phone around and see what they charge. Sometimes it isn't as much as you think. Some allow monthly payments. Your throat may never swell up or........................................ Had a 20 something girl on my floor last week, that her face just swelled up like the marshmellow man!

So much for Benadryl working. I've taken like 3 and my right hand and eye are pretty swollen. Damn these hives of mine

Have u gone to a Dr?? have you undergone an type of allergy testing'?

Benedryl would be better for an allergic reaction! best to see a dr soon, as allergic reactions can get worse with each exposure. The first time a substance enteries the body, one doesnt normally have a reaction, the body just says holy #######, i don't like that!!, next time i see that substance i'm going to fight back--Whammo allergic reaction next time that substance enters the body! Allergic reaction may not get any worse, but they could turn deadly, as in throat swelling up, not begin able to breathe!!

Absolutely - and you are wise to explore all the options on that one instead of just walking away - you always have to explore these things - as you already know! Even with the place we looked at, as awful as it was, we sat down and did a pros/cons list - just to be sure. Needless to say the pros were few and hard to come by and the cons - well that's history

We have been looking and will buy a house this Spring once wife returns from her work trip. Not looking forward to renting out our condo. Don't think we will have nay probs renting it out, just a pain in trying to find the responsible renters, lol We have looked at a few foreclosures and a few short sales just for fun! WOW! what a mess most of them have been! The foreclosures especially! On the outside, they look nice, go inside and the place has been gutted! One basement was flooded and smelled of cat urine! The Short sales not so bad, but people stop taking care of them, so again it turns out to be a maintenance issue. Of course there have been a few ok ones, just not something we liked. Will be a lot more houses on the market come Spring time

Driving to Bethesda today to see a CS who will transcribe my vaccines. The driving part isnt really horrible... its just that I hate driving the freeway (I havent driven in 2 years) and it is snowy. Most annoying part is I finally got in touch with a customer rep from USCIS yesterday who told me that I shouldnt have received an RFE because I had my vaccines transcribed by Dr. Arnold. He said that I dont even need a new medical/transcription, I can just re-explain my case... but really, do I really want to piss USCIS at this point? *sigh*

My husband wants to become a doctor, and he, too, hasn't really started. My goal is a DNP - Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner.

It is surprising on how many people at my condo complex dont own a shovel!! Seen people out with buckets, kitchen utensils and broom trying to remove close to 20" of snow! Its not like this snow magically appeared, there was a 2 day warning! Watched one guy try and move hi scar covered in snow, not removing the snow in front of him--and tryin gto get out! Whats with people! Don't be soo frickin lazy and start shoveling!

No one forced tiger to drop his pants. Nor did anyone force him to marry that model!! Poor tiger!! It comes with the territory. They get a lot of perks, he makes more $$$ in 10 seconds then many make in a year. Most of his $$$ comes from ENDORSEMENTS!! Companies pay him big $$$$$ because he is a great athlete, and supposedly great morals! last time I looked, dropping your pants with others--without the approval of your wife----isnt very good!! I dont really feel sorry for him at all! Why do postal delivery people do stupid things like LEAVE YOUR FRIGGING PACKAGE OUTSIDE THE STOOP IN BALTIMORE CITY...?

It's not like we are living in the white picket fenced houses in Columbia or Ellicott City in Maryland... we are in downtown Baltimore... where theft is unbelievably high.

So today the USPS person who delivers drops a very big but super duper lightweight package at the neighbor's stoop. The package is huge, it doesnt fit in the mail box. But its very light... like I can lift it with my index and thumb fingers. The weather calls for strong wind... and of course the package FLIES to the middle of the street...

And did I mention we live in downtown Baltimore, where there is a DONT LEAVE PACKAGES ON DOOR STOOP mandate...???

UGH.

So the busybody that I am, I take my neighbor's package in. I guess in a way this is a good opportunity to meet the neighbors tongue.gif

NOW I know what happened to my first wedding dress, which mysteriously never came to our house... even though the USPS said it was "delivered".

Oof! Eight days...wow.

Chances are that I'll be driving alone...so I'm hoping I can make it in three full days. That may be too much. Four is more likely. If I can spend fourteen hours per day driving, and the conditions aren't horrible at any point, I can make it in three...but given that it'll be winter (hopefully!), with a lot of night driving and a car (and possibly trailer) full of stuff...I'll aim for four and hope for three.

And also hope I don't drive off a mountain.

I drove from Winnipeg to DC back in 2003. Left early 1 morning, stayed overnight, and into DC the next day pretty late.

But of course the alarm company immediately calls and aks who i am and for the password--Which I do NOT know!! And of course my in-laws who still reside in Florida this time of yr, are off to the Bahamas!!
