K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	November 2010 K1 filers	Sent on the 30th of November and my fiancee got the reciept in the mail today 11-09 from USCIS (would this qualify as NOA1??) Wish i had more details, but she fell asleep on the couch i guess... Yep! The NOA1 date is the notice date or received date on the form. I am hopeful for a clear NOA2 at the end of April too. That would be a dream. An April NOA2 is very very possible! We used this format. I am currently in Manila but will be back in the US on October. I already looked at the timelines of some and noticed that the average range for filing to getting a visa is around 8 months. Im not sure if I posted on the right (sub)forum, but here's my deal anyway. I'm hoping some of you could offer some advice. My fiance (Naturalized American) and I (Filipina) were originally looking into filing for a fiance Visa but my family wanted a "proper" Catholic wedding in the US. I caved in (even though I was really okay with a small civil ceremony) and during my last visit we started booking vendors. Since I am getting married in the US, I know I will have to come back to the Philippines so I could file for a Spouse Visa. I used to be okay with this (since I didn't really have a choice), but realized that the reason my FI and I are getting married is so that we could FINALLY be together already after 4 years. Getting married only to be 7000 miles apart again doesnt really make sense. SO my question is this -- do you think I could file for AOS? What are my options? Haven't really looked through a lot of posts, but what's the earliest that I could go to the US under K1? I've been wanting a February wedding. I always fancied myself to be a February bride! 3. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	BDO payment help	My fiance some time ago tried to file for a tourist visa and it didn't go through. She payed the BDO the visa application fee.....It says its valid for one year. Now we're at the point where we have to pay the BDO again for a K-1 Visa which is the same price. Can she use her old (less than a year) BDO receipt or does she have to pay again and get a new receipt? I believe what's valid for one year is having the Consular interview. I realize each couple have different situations though but seriously, Im getting overwhelmed I don't even know where to start! I checked on the timeline (Historical Trends) in here and it says it's a total of 377 days. So does that mean average would be about 1.03 years? They're just looking for someone to replace me now. If I marry him on February, I can't prove as well that I didn't have any intentions of marrying him since I planned my wedding a few months ago there in the US. I met with churches, vendors, everything. I am willing to go back to my home country and file from here -- will I run into any problems because of my intent? If he sends the first packet (G325a and I129F) this month, will I be able to go to the US on my tourist visa this December? My family is going -- and I already have my airplane ticket, actually. Long story short we were supposed to get married on February (we have deposits and stuff!) but a part of me thought it would be better to do the K1 Visa route since the wait will be slightly shorter. If I marry him in Feb and then go back afterwards to start on the Spouse Visa process, it will take another year. Thoughts? I am just a tad bit confused; I remember some posts that say nothing should be left blank. So if I put "None" in the Current Huband/Former Husband tabs, does that mean that I still have to put "N/A" on the tabs where it says First Name, Date of Birth, etc? If you see all my print outs they're all so crisp, LOL. 1. How do you label/put a header on pieces of evidence -- I have a wedding gown receipt from my previous US visit, and other receipts I want to show. Do I just put my name like below: Beneficiary's name I-129F Or should I put the USC's name? 2. Am I supposed to put headers on the Letter of Intent? Me and my fiancé haven't filed the documents, we just started learning how the process is to get the k1 visa. I have some questions for you guys that already have experience in the subject. What was the hardest part of the process? Oh, and how was it to prove that you were together for at least 2 years? what kind of proofs did you show? my fiancé and I have been together for more than 4 years and I'm afraid i didn't keep the plane tickets proving that I boarded... :/ We are totally on the same boat! My FI and I are still compiling our packet and we intend to send it out in a few weeks. Like you, I didn't keep my boarding passes which is a shame, so I scanned my passports. My FI though has some tucked away, unlike me he's more organized. We've been together for almost 5 years now; I think I will be okay with the wait-- as long as it's in the 6-8 month range that I've psyched myself for. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	On our way and I already screwed up!!	Somehow in the midst of all the overwhelming paperwork, evidence and stress of the application, I accidently put my fiance's birthday as 2/16/2010. He is younger than me, BUT NOT THAT YOUNG!!! Lucky for me, a simple phone call took care of the error. I'm sure that won't be the only bump in the road, but at least it was taken care of quickly and simply. And I must say, they were very helpful and kind on the phone. Do not hesitate to call if you have questions. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful and polite. (a little unheard of for customer service reps here in the states) On a less humorous note, our application was forwarded to California. I've heard it's much slower there. Oh well, as long as we are approved, it will be worth the wait. I am a bit frustrated that our application isn't on the USCIS website yet. When I called they said it was in the system. I guess that's all that really matters. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? Now it's time to get everything for the I-134 ready. Hopefully I'll make sure all the dates are correct on that. Good luck to everyone on their journey. The wait is hard but the thought of being with Colin forever is worth every sleepless night. Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely keep it in mind -- might come in handy when I realize I did something wrong (again!). BTW how did you find out about the error? Did you just realize it after sending? For some reason I did not see this info on the K1 guide, and was just reading some posts some minutes ago, and saw a post regarding to that!!! Do you think we are trouble because of this? Are we going to get a RFE???? Our package was sent off yesterday, and it hasn't even gotten there yet. I am so worried, please your comments on this! Thanks in advance, everyone!! So you put your name at the bottom of your G-325A, and she puts her name at the bottom of her G-325A. I looked at other samples from the web when we were working on ours.
