Am soooo happy.....Maizy finally rolled over from back to tummy last night.....and did it 5 consecutive times, alternating with rolling onto her back tonight.....   Mommy and Daddy are so proud!!!!! She sits very well now, now prefering to sit and play on the floor than in her exersaucer. Walks a bit in her walker, too! :star:

@sweetpink - Happy Birthday, Ethan!!! Big boy na...pwede nang manligaw  Can't wait for Maizy to turn 1, then again, ayaw ko pa. I wish she could stay a baby always but that is not to be. Our babies will grow up and be off to school before we know it, then off to college, get married...give us grandkids...sigh...I wish Maizy would stay a baby... Enjoy Ethan's remaining baby/toddler years as they wikl really go faster than his infancy :)

Alec had her 6-month check today. Poor baby got 3 shots: Prevnar, Hep B and the 5-in-1 one :( Laid on the examining table, Daddy and the nurse holding her legs and Mommy holding her hands as Maizy smiled up to me :( Then the smile slowly contorted into a cry...a cry that denotes pain (versus the one that says "hunger" or "I want mommy"). Broke my heart so that I picked her up right away and laid her head on my chest and sang to her to comfort her. She finally quieted down but still clutched at my blouse, as if letting go would bring the "yayay" back :( Haay...and ina talaga...even with Alec, it still breaks my heart when she cries when punished/reprimanded.

Anyway, at 6 months, Maizy is now 17 lbs 5 oz and is 25.25 inches tall. Weight for height, she is in the 90th percentile so that I am happy. Doc gave the go signal to start her on diluted baby juices :) She was amazed at Maizy's development and told us not to worry about her not wanting to turn over, that some babies just skip rolling over and prefer to sit and stand then walk :) I told her about Maizy's feeding habits and she said that it was okay  Her next check will be at 9 months and every 3 months thereafter. Maizy was somewhat subdued after coming from the doc's clinic, perhaps due to her 3 "yayays". Still with good appetite, thankfully. Gave her a dose of Infant Tylenol (to hell with the recall! Rather than give her an early ulcer with Motrin...bakit kasi walang Biogesic or Tempra dito e! Perhaps my mom can bring some...)This evening, though, she got cranky because she wanted to sit on the floor and play  Soon as I put her on the floor, she began searching for her toys and began squealing when given to her :) This lasted all of half an hour, of course because it was her bedtime.

She is now tucked in her crib, should wake at her usual 8am...meanwhile, Wii muna si mommy....

Our little princess is 6 months old today :) She is growing pretty fast and I feel like time is going by too quick for me. I miss her infancy, her newborn-ness. Some prople have remarked about her being big for a 6-month-old but most have remarked about how much hair she's got  She is quite feisty now and is full of personality...and when she gets really upset about something, oh my! She'd clench her fists and stiffen her arms and really cry out...better keep that attitude in check, little lady! Her favorite thing is jumping so that I have brought up her doorway jumper today and, my, she was flying  Tired herself out and she had a 2-hour nap. She still shrieks and growls when excited. She will have another round of shots on Tuesday.

ay pano ba magpost ng pics? which code ang gagamitin ko from photobucket?

use the "IMG" one.

Lotions...did not use any on maizy till she was about a month old or so. Your baby's skin will naturally dry and flake off; when you bathe her, you may use a washcloth to gently wipe the loose skin off. Maizy's case was different kasi wintertime nung pinanganak and i couldn't really bathe her daily kaya puro sponge bath lang sya mostly. Her skin was dry and sensitive so that I went through different bottles of washes and shampoos. The shampoo that worked for her had witch hazel extract in it. Instead of lotion, Aquaphor ginagamit ko and Gentle Touch na baby eczema cream (thought that was what she had) and cradle cap care. Since springtime, her skin and scalp has improved so that she now uses Aveeno shampoo and Aquaphor baby wash. She still has a bit of a dry spot on her upper arms that I use either Johnson's lotion or Aquaphor on.
No powders, too, lalo if near the face. But some powder on her bottom is fine as it will help absorb moisture and keep it off her skin :) With Maizy, sa laki ng pisngi nya e sumasayad minsan sa chest nya and nagmo-moist lalo't tag-init so I put a mix of Johnson's powder and Johnson's corn starch powder around her neck area.

Hay...talaga :) Reklamo na nga asawa ko kasi ang daming kulatsang ni Maizy (headbands, clips, different color/patterned diaper covers, different colored socks, different colored bibs --- syempre dapat match sa damit nya ) in addition to her skorts, skirts, shorts, tops, rompers, jumpers, leggings, dresses, onesies, pants, hats and shoes. like today...she'd have changed outfits 3 times :D And being that mestiza sya, the more na sarap bihisan kasi walang bawal na kulay :star: But wag ka, some of her clothes pinili ng Daddy nya especially the dresses  I remember when we went out to the thrift store, we had agreed na tama na yung damit na meron si Maizy. Aba, paglingon ko, eto na si hubby na tulak-tulak ang cart na may laman na mga dresses ulit  Maizy's wardrobe will practically last her till she is 2 years old, although I recently found out how few 6-9 month clothing she had. Yay...shopping si Mommy...besides, she needs bigger shoes...

Even in the RP, vit K shot for a newborn is SOP

As for breastfeeding...why does your father-in-law have any say in your decision to breastfeed or not anyway
Besides, your baby's health is so much more important than nice-looking boobies, di ba? plus, when your breasts get engorged with milk, they get larger (and perhaps will be more appealing to hubby :D ). Your milk will start to come in by the 5th day post-delivery, although you will already be secreting that oh-so-important colostrum even before giving birth. If you want to exclusively breastfeed, you may want to let the nursery know your wishes to have the child feed solely from you. Breastmilk is a lot blander than formula...baka kasi mas piliin ng baby yung formula. don't worry that baby isn't getting enough...he will let you know when he's had enough or not. Mind you, newborn babies feed more often than weeks-old infants simply because their stomachs are a lot smaller (think ping-pong ball as max stomach size) Note: a baby's seemingly "big" belly is due to the liver being the largest abdominal organ. Anyway, your newborn will feed about every 1-2 hours, every hour if breastfed as breastmilk is more easily digested than formula. You may consult a lactation consultant while in the hospital for help/instruction on proper latch-on. If you do decide to breastfeed, go ahead and feed baby whenever he wants to feed; the more he feeds from you, the more milk you will produce. And don't forget to load up on fluids (water, if possible) and continue your prenatal vits and iron tabs. If baby is asleep and your breasts are full, pump it out and store it to feed to baby when he wakes up...again to stimulate more milk production. As much as possible, try to feed exclusively with your milk. With Maizy, she was always hungry and I was post-CS so that that darned pain meds kinda messed up my lactation, and the pain of having to move about was REALLY uncomfortable for me so that I couldn't really relax and max my milk production. But I still fed her from the breast when I could; she was probably taking at least 4oz from me. I still supplemented with formula though, despite what my lactation consultant told me. I think she had 1-2 bottles of formula a day and the rest was from me. I did not worry about if she was getting enough or not; her weight and height (both in the 90th %ile) told me that she was. :)

Yehey!

Maizy's lower central incisors are coming out, too...actually, according to hubby, isa sa baba, isa sa itaas  She's been extra cranky today, ewan ko ba. But she still managed to behave some at mealtimes.

About poop, Maizy has about 2-3 soft ones a day, ranging from greenish-orangey to a dark brown to black color. Am not so much bothered when it's black as it's probably the iron in her milk and cereals that has broken down already  She eats 3 times a day: cereals and fruit plus some milk in the morning, meat and veggies at lunchtime, and cereals plus milk at supper. She has 2 bottles of milk in between meals and one bottle of bedtime formula in the evening. She sleeps through the night na  and wakes in the morning for breakfst :)

DUn sa check eh na yun eh 24 cans of concentrated Enfamil lang in a month eh kulang kay Zac yun kaya we need to buy 6 or 7 pa kasi he drinks 1 can a day.

Pwede bang akin na lang yung Enfamil coupons mo? or if you want I'll buy it na lang and send shipping fee via Paypal :D La na kasi akong makuhanan ng coupon. Mahal kaya ng gatas hehe

pink - I might have $5 similac coupons expiring July 30 yata. Maizy kasi is on enfamil although i use the coupons for just her bedtime formula. send me a PM if you want them (if i do find them :D )

mga momies my mga tanong ako pg nag ka mucus plague ba marami ba or konti lng ? tpos one time lng ba yun or araw2x hangang s manganak kna kc im not sure kong mucus plague ako last friday ehh pero konti lng nmn tska nung nag change undies ako wla na cxa,.,

Mucus plug is a one-time event...at least, that's what I have observed. with my first child, it was just white, turning a little pinkish during the day. My contractions started an hour or so after the discharge...felt like those you feel during menses. with Maizy, my mucus plug was mixed with blood, and contractions started soon after. Of course, Maizy came out about 3.5 hours later (via CS) :)

Hang in there! :) Still, even with a scheduled C-sec, you'll never know. I went into labor a few days before the scheduled CS. So, hopefully, you've prepared both Mommy's and Baby's things :) Be sure to have a carseat for the baby as they will not release the child unless there is one available...or they may lend you one

It has been increasingly difficult to change nappies lately. Paano...Maizy's legs are non-stop and when I am about to slip a clean nappy underneath her bottom, sabay kapit sa mga paa nya...and I mean KAPIT! Even when I am cleaning her, hay naku...idederetso and mga binti. So, I sit her up to put her clothes on, and...sabay abot dito, abot doon naman mga kamay nya. Even in her tub, kayang kaya na iupo sarili nya by holding on to the sides, so that mahirap nang sabunin yung tummy and neck and mga singit nya. And when in her bumbo, liliyad at isasampay yung leeg sa back ng bumbo seat  I guess, eto na nga yung kakulitan nya when she was still in my tummy.

Am adjusted to her sleeping in her room. :) I guess, it affords us the privacy we used to have before she was born plus she gets to get used to sleeping by herself; it took awhile for her Ate to do so.

Improtant update/milestone of Mazzelynn Eve:

My little precious moved into her own room last night :crying: Syempre, may-I-cry si Mommy. Nung hapon pa lang habang nililipat ko yung baby monitor and yung Santo Nino nya into her crib, I caught sight of her bassinet at ayun, iyak na kaagad ako; I missed her already. Then again went we went to bed, I saw the empty bassinet again and cried again. :( Haay...I've never had my child sleep in a differnt room from mine. Separation anxiety...and Maizy was simply cool with it. At least, I won't have problems na getting her to sleep on her own when she's older :innocent:

She still is practicing her balance but she can sit on her own for a while :) She doesn't want to be laying down on her changing table for a long time (i.e. more than 3 mins is long na for her  ), gusto nakaupo habang binibihisan para makalikot yung mga small toys sa gilid.

Buti ka pa maraming baby shower. I did not have any, save fore one which my hubby's workmates threw for me. By then, kumpleto na gamit ni Maizy so that puro wipes and diapers ang natanggap ko along with some pieces of clothing. Out of the ones given to me during the shower, isang pack ng size 3 diapers and a box of pampers wipes na lang ang natitira. Been buying nappies for about 3 months na.

Kaya mo yan ;)

@RR, hindi naman malaki kidneys nya. Yung tubig na imbes palabas from his kidney eh some of those fluid eh bumabalik papasok sa kidneys. Kapag negative result that means ok na yng kidneys nya dahil hindi na bumabalik yung fluid going back to his kidneys.

@Doc Gracey
, ahh thanks for clarifying it to us hehe.

Mga mommies, I just ordered a shirt from www.cafepress.com that says "New Dad 2009 and proud of it" on it for my husband for Father's Day.

Kaya ayun, napupuyat ang mga buntis which is one of the reason kung bakit bumababa ang iron level kaya iron in-take is really important. Correct me na lang mga mommies if I am worng with that :D

@Kaibigan

@Someday, musta na si baby according from your last visit?

Mabuti nga at di cya nilagnat.

Actually, kaya bumababa ang iron ng mga buntis is because the baby gets whatever iron supply the Mommy has, hence the need to supplement with iron-containing vitamins during and after pregnancy.

As for Maizy's hair...hay naku. Akala ko pag humaba buhok nya, dadapa. but, no...paakyat ang tubo and then patalikod. I put a clip on her hair para di nakatayo. Pag walang clip at may hangin, ayun, parang yung flame ng kandila ba

RR - at least nakakagapang na si Tyree. Itong si maizy, ewan. mas type nya umupo at tumayo kesa dumapa and gumapang.

huggies - mag-buburp din yan. si maizy, i put her over my shoulder maski tulog, just so she could burp. Then again, more often than not, uutot kesa dumighay

Hello!!!

Na-nganak na po ako!!!
June 4 @ 8:58AM!!

inabot ako ng 18 hours labor from the time na nag-break ung water ko. Pero 1 hour lang ako in active labor.
sobrang sarap ng feeling to hold my baby. grabe! nakaka-iyak!

finally, kahit ayaw namin we had to give him some formula. buti na lang may pinauwi ung hospital na freebie.

Then galit sa medyas kayang kaya nyang tangalin thru sipa ung socks nya. Then gusto nya matulog either sa side nya or sa tummy nya so sobrang binabantayan ko talaga.

Thank god di nag-bleed or nag-puss. Also, both arms and hands ko ay numb/painful... sabi ni OB baka daw Carpal Tunnel Syndrome pero pinapupunta ako sa family doctor. Wala naman kami nun at tska wala kaming budget for that, kaya eto tiis tiis muna.

Comgratulations!

Load up on fluids para mas dumami milk mo. and keep up with your prenatal vits. Remember, the more you put baby to the breast, the more milk you'll produce. Kung engorged ang breasts mo and baby is asleep, i-pump mo and feed to him later --- also to augment your milk supply :) And sleep when your baby sleeps :)

eve, ang galing ah pero hay wala kaming ganyan na laundry basket... hehehehe.... kanina nung papunta kami ng roos may nadaanan kaming garage sale then hubby saw a walker so yun binili namin for $5 and true enough its hard to roll on the carpet hehehehe but its okay kasi nga 5 dollars lang

someday take tums....

hay busy

God bless sa lahat.

bought Maizy's walker at a yard salem, too...a Winnie the Pooh for also $5 :) Akala ko di magro-roll sa carpet namin which is a berber, but it rolls just fine. I use it more in the kitchen para nalilibang sya pag andun ako. I don't know about how using a walker can hinder a child's walking. Alec used 2 kinds..yung rattan na andador and a usual walker. She skipped crawling, actually and went from sitting to standing to walking. Walked on her own at 10 months, so that by the time she turned a year old I basically had to chase her around the house. :)

She has discovered some comfort in sucking in her lower lip over her gums. siguro makati yung gums nya. Lalo tuloy lumalaki pisngi nya kasi parang nakatago yung mouth nya when she does that. And I've discovered why she seems to choke on the grainy turkey --- madaldal kasi  Habang sumusubo ng pagkain e sinasamahan ng daldal. Ayan tuloy, deretso sa lalamunan yung food. Fed her the rest of the turkey tonight. As always, daldal na naman sya. I'd interrupt her and she would stop and listen to me with her mouth open whereupon isusbo ko yung food nya at kakausapin sya and she just listens and begins to chew her food :)

pink - we hired a lawyer for a total of $1250, plus around $400 for the Child Services home study and court fees. Now that we are nearing the end, we learned from the probate court that pwede naman pala na kami na lang ang lalakad ng adoption with no need for a lawyer. At the most, notary public lang kelangan namin. Could've spent just around $800 for everything  Tapos, itong lawyer na humahawak sa kaso namin e trial lawyer pala and had no idea how to go about the adoption process. :bonk: syempre na-hire na namin sya at nabayaran na yung ibang fees nya nung malaman namin. If we had done it ourselves, malamang last year natapos na yung adoption ni Alec. There is just a lot of paperwork, tapos kelangan i-publish sa press na may ongoing petition for adoption. We paid $200 for that (published for 3 weeks). Bale tapos na lahat ng bayaran. soon as we get a certified copy of her new birth certificate, pwede na kami dumeretso sa Social Security to have her name changed on her SSN.

Nature's goodness is the cheapest baby food, too! :)

Cute naman ni Zac...maski walang buhok  Maizy doesn't want to walk much in her walker. Kung maglakad man sya, patalikod  But hold her by both hands and she will walk, much to her father's delight. She spends some time in her exersaucer standing. Pag pagod na sya, she jsut sits and lazily spins one of the toys with one hand or just taps it with matching sigh. Minsan, I was in the kitchen and she was in the living room, nahuli kong nakatulog na nakasandal yung noo sa braso nya. Poor baby. At least, di umiyak like she usually does. LIke Zac, she can sit with her arms outstretched and her hands supprting her weight for a few minutes. I think that started around a week or so ago when I started sitting her up to change her clothes. naku...malapit na palang maitago yung bouncer nya and her bumbo  Once she sits up on her own, will start feeding her sa highchair nya.

RR - about the yard sale stuff...syempre from our fave store :D Of course, some items we got for free :)

We are sponsoring my mom's visa fee. She just got her new passport the other day so that she can now go to BDO to pay for her visa. My brother is sponsoring her plane ticket. Sabay sila dadating dito early November. An aunt and uncle of mine are flying in, too, around that same time in time for my stateside uncle and aunt's golden anniversary. Syempre, dito na mag-thanksgiving, pasko and new year. first time nya makakasama si Maizy, who'll probably be running around or walking by then. Don't know yet how long she will be staying...heck, she can stay the entire 6 months that she is alloted

School's out...alec is home...thankfully. Mas makakakilos na ako...at least for the next 2.75 months

Si Zac had his shots yester. Nakadalawang turok cya. I also received letter from Medicaid na na mawawalan na ako ng Emergency Medicaid this end of June. Pero anyway, eto naghahanap kami ng insurance for me. I already expected naman na talgang mawawala na Medicaid ko pero I am very thankful and blessed at nakalusot ako kaya hindi naman masama loob ko kung mawala na yung Medicaid ko.

Si Maizy ayaw din ng meats nun but now sige sya. She has no preference for foods although I find that she finishes all fruit adn veggies with the exception of peas and peaches which takes her a while to finish. She practically gobbles up the rice or oatmeal cereal that goes with it. I give her meats at lunchtime. I only give her beef or turkey kasi nag-rashes sya with chicken. will try her on chicken again pag 6 months na sya. Finishing a 4oz bottle of baby food is nothing to her...takaw talaga

You can try Nature's Goodness' turkey in turkey brother. Is much less grainy than Beechnut's Turkey with turkey gravy. si Maizy, sa kamamadali nyang ubusin food nya, minsan nabilaukan sa Beechnut na turkey, but not with the beef. I give her milk with her food and not water. Saka ko na sya i-water when she's a little older. The water in her milk will keep her hydrated better than just water.

Went out yesterday to get Maizy's one-week WIC food supply. Found Beechnut Mango, Banana-Strawberry-Apple, Corn casserole, corn and sweet potatoes, mixed veggies and country mixed veggies. Also found banana-apple yogurt :) Gave her the mango --- she absolutely loves it! Lol...didn't know what 24 bottles of baby food looked like...was ridiculous  But it saved us $13+ dollars in baby food

As for re-certification, same requirements as when you first applied for WIC...your yellow card plus hubby's last paycheck, Zac's crib card or BC and immunization record (I think), plus Zac, of course. We have ours in July sometime.

RR - have you tried mixing his cereal with his fruits/veggies? Did that with Maizy's food noon. One spoon of cereal mixed with fruit/veggies alternate with just the plain fruit/veggie. ngayon, di ko na hinahalo but ina-alternate ko yung sinusubong pagkain. Cereals provide some 40% of daily iron requirements.

Maizy isn't fat, as you've seen in the pics, but mabigat sya...siksik sa laman. Yes, humahaba na hair nya which allowed me to put a plastic clip on her hair when we went to church :) Nga lang, mas manipis buhok nya than her Ate. she got Daddy's hair...pati yung pagkatirik ng buhok  Her favorite thing now, other than playing with her feet, is "talking" and making sounds similar to Spike the Gremlin  "Halloween voice" nga tawag ng daddy nya. She can roll over from front to back, and reaches for everything around her. Moved her into a bigger bath tub so she can sit up better and play in the water with some toys after she has been washed. she likes the idea of "hide the Maizy" which is basically getting her wrapped up in her towel while Mommy excitedly says that she'll "hide the Maizy". She likes Play with Me Sesame, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Dora. She is watching Spongebob now (which I don't like really) while seated in her rocking chair and squealing.

Having a yard sale Sun-Tues (uulan kasi ng sat)...a baby/toddler sale :D I have a pack n play, several booster seats, bed rails, riding toys, kids' desks, swings, highchairs, even diapers, baby bottles, diaper genies, baby/toddler toys, activity tables, wipe warmers, bottle/baby food jar warmers, sterilizers, breastfeeding accessories/nursing pads, a pack-n-play, a johnny jumper, bathtubs, infant support slings, some baby boy clothes, and of course, baby girl 0-3 months clothes :) And others pa. Whatever we get out of this sale, gagamitin ng mama ko as spending money pag dating nya dito in Nov. :) Is quite hectic preparing for the sale. hanggang ngayon, di pa ako tapos mag-inventory

eve - can we apply for the report of birth online? parang nakakalula kasi mag-drive all the way to chicago just for that and then back.

We have decided to let the girls have dual citizenship. i will be doing the same. plano kasi namin to buy some property in tagaytay later on and we won't be able to do that anymore pag nag-US citizen lang kami. We're pretty excited kasi may adoption hearing kami july 23rd for alec. Our little big girl will become a USC :star: She will be issued a new birth certificate with Dada's name on it :star: She is excited as well. Kaya lang, medyo matatagalan daw yung actual birth certificate and a certified copy will have to do for her name changes for her SSN and school and passports. We all can't wait. :innocent:

RR - si maizy kasi lahat n mahawakan nya titingnan muna nya and after a few seconds, isusubo na. minsan may halong gigil yung pagsubo at pagngatngat nya. pag walag mahawakan, daliri, kamay, paa ang isusubo..even yung arm rest ng bumbo seat, di patatawad

Maizy is now 5 months old  Sharing some pics... :)

She has discovered the joys of sucking her toes  She is quite temperamental sometimes, probably kasi nagngingipin, or so I think. medyo rounded na yung gums nya at the bottom and she finds comfort in biting on her fingers or her toys at nagaglit pag di nya ma-shoot sa bibig yung kung ano man ang hawak nya. Food...she eats fruits, veggies, and meat. Still needs formula after each feeding. Mas mahirap na pakainin kasi, other than blowing raspberries, pilit nya aabutin ang mga paa para isubo  Can turn from front to back...pag feel nya. She still dislikes tummy time but loves to sit. when i put her on her changing table, she starts flailing her legs around, wanting to sit up to reach the music toy that i put at the end for her to look at. she can prop herself up on her hands for about 20 seconds. she is liking Daddy now and doesn't cry as much pag iniiwan ko kay daddy nya. She wants Mommy around though, during our mealtime, and will butt in during a conversation with "words" of her own.

Time does fly too fast...I miss her "newborn-ness" na...

i got two wic checks for baby food na with same dates ewan ko kung namali lang nung lady but next month we will get 4 cereals then 32 jars ng 4 oz baby food only vegetables and fruits

how about kay maizy doc gracey to they give baby food na meat?

when we went to wic to get my may-june checks, they gave us maizy's june checks na. since sa july may re-certification kami, saka nila ibibigay yung ibang checks nya. the june checks are for (per week) 16 jars of fruit/veggies, 8 jars of meats, and 2 boxes of cereals. bale for the entire month, that would be 64 jars of fruits/veggies, 32 jars of meats and 8 boxes of cereals.

malaking tulong nga talaga yung wic...as of now 10 cans na binibigay nila sa amin pero next month 7 cans na lang kasi they will start giving us baby food.

since maizy is on baby food already, we had been buying her food for her. recently, i went on craigslist and got her 85 jars of baby food for 25 cents a jar...plus free na dagdag and 3 boxes of cereals (oatmeal and rice) I was sooooo happy. The lady i got it from said her son would not eat baby food and that those were WIC-obtained. Next month magagamit ko na yung WIC coupons ni maizy for baby food :) May re-certification kami in July...perhaps i will still tell them na nagb-breastfeeding pa ako??? I've been able to get free formula on craigslist, too, as well as low-priced ones (owners are getting rid of theirs kasi either natanggap nila sa mail and they don't have babies or overstock nila and their kids dont take formula anymore). I have about 7 cans sitting in my pantry right now :)

oopinkoo "thank you sa reply.

nabasa ko yung profile mo from valenzuela city ka sa p.i? tama ba? kasi from obando bulacan ako familiar ka ba dun? or alam mo ba yung our lady of fatima univ sa valenzuela or hosp?

oo grabe yung pinagdaanan ko meron nagaadvise sken pede daw ako magdemanda within 40 days after the incident pumunta daw ako sa municipal county office at magask ng libreng law service firm, kaso sigurado daw dapat matiyaga ako.
wala na kasi kameng time 12 hours work na hubby ko, at wala naman ako makakasama pagpunta magisa at mahirap kasi may baby na.

haay iaaply ko na lang ulit sa internet kesa maghintay ako ng 60 days, kasi due na mga vaccines by july kung di pa maaprove magbabayad kame from ourn pocket.

nakakatawa nga CS ako then i had my first week check up after the cs operation ang mahal ng binayaran ko pero guess what sino naglinis ng incision ko "ako" kasi yung resident doc tiningnan nya lang yung incision site ko without taking off the gauze sabi nya everything's look good, ako pa nagsabi arent u gonna clean it? sbi nya hayaan mo na lang magfall sbi ko i want it to be cleanse, sbi nya i have so many patients im the only resident dr today. if u want feel free to do it by yourself, hayun ako naglinis ng tahi ko sa clinic" she said i will see you after 6 weeks.ginawa ko hinabol ko nagpaprescribe ako ng birth control pills. wala ng nga siyang turo turo. thank you na rin kahit pano nga may alam ako inaaply ko na lang sa sarili ko. naisip ko lang yung mga iba na patients na pinapabalik balik.

o sge thank you thank you syo!! at sa inyo

have a good night everyone!!!

talk to you all later...

o sge,

hi. first of all, congratulations!

Actually, that resident is one SOB, if you'll ask me. Was the same when I asked for an antibiotic for some cystitis and the darn resident-on-duty did not want to give me one because my freakin' dipstick urinalysis was negative for it. I had all the signs/symptoms plus 3 home dipstick tests (hubby swiped some from work :D )showed that i had an infection. I was in my first trimester then and the last thing i wanted was for the infection to reach my then unborn child. I was finally able to get a scrip from the on-call OB. I complained to my OB about that incident and she was puzzled, too, as to why they did not give in to my request.

Anyway, I am a 2-time CS and the first time, I cleaned the wound myself (was in the RP). this second time, I did not touch it at all. They took the gauze off after 48 hours and did not apply anything else on it, so that it was just some steri-strips on top of the incision (in addition to the subcutaneous sutures, of course). The strips they put WILL fall off and you need not clean it. You are allowed to bathe without having to cover the wound site and it is perfectly safe. Of course, you will need to inspect it for any discharge. Still, it was not good practice for him to treat you the way he did. A patient is a patient and should be treated accordingly, whether or not he has a roomful of other patients to see. Or he could've asked a med assistant to do it for him, if he could not. Poor patient care indeed!

About baby formula....you may want to apply for membership to Strongmoms.com ( i think, for similac) or Enfamil for formula samples and coupons. Vaccines...have you tried your local public health clinic? You may want to inquire there, too for possible free vaccines.

Speaking of which....I have some Similac coupons expiring in July...anybody want them? They are $5 off.
