QUOTE (Brijo @ Dec 1 2009, 01:16 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My wife had bleeding about 3 times, just a little...spotting maybe. Then after intercourse there was a lot of blood, a little like during period. Maybe as bad, not worse than that. No cramping or bleeding before or after. No cramping during. Only the blood. A handful of spots the size of quarters, Two hand rags with dark color blood on them. One the size of a half dollar just a little more red, but that was on a white background so maybe that is why a little bit brighter. No fever. I checked her vital signs... blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations all normal. She felt fine. A couple hours later she tried to vomit, only clear. Acidic stomach. Next morning acidic stomach but still no more bleeding. Only blood was right after intercourse.

I called the Gyn today, we have appointment Thursday. They only asked if there was cramping, but none. They said bring her to ER if any more blood, but we dont have the money for that. But no more blood. Will be glad to get the prognosis Thursday after the blood tests.

I know that the cervix gets engulfed with blood in early pregnancy. I know blood vessels can rupture easily. Am hoping that is all that it is, from irritation. The bleeding to me looked like venous blood, not arterial bleeding. I dont think there were any clots.... not certain, but dont think so. Not wanting to be too detailed here. Just worried, and praying.

Still taking vitamins daily. Am trying to keep her eating protein, lean meats. I do all the cooking, so it is my responsibility. I get her warm milk every night to drink so she is getting her dairy products. I try to get her to eat fruits and vegetables, but I see that usually the only way I get her to eat fruit is if it is in yogurt or if I make a mixed fruit salad. Trying to get her to eat spinach, lettuce, broccoli, carrots in vegetable salads. She gets eggs in the morning, so I know those are high in protein.

She had miscarriage right after we married, and still nothing that is anything to her that has happened like when she had that miscarriage. Am hoping bleeding without cramping and only after sex and no more right before or any time after is positive.

It is really hard to just wait for a doctor visit to find out what is going on....

Brian in Virginia

one of the 3 times she bled before this last was also the night of intercourse. So 2 out of 4 times she bled followed intercourse. Little the first 3 times she bled.

You should refrain from intercourse from this point onward. Bleeding anytime during pregnancy isn't good. She needs to rest for now, and be seen by an OB ASAP

[color="#FF00FF"][b]I hear you. Ako din eh, feeling ko papainduce na ako on my 37th week. I am on my 36th week and 2nd day na. Hubby and I talked about it na about dito and he agreed naman at gusto nya na rin lumabas si baby smile.gif

I tried getting induced in my 37th week...wa epek. gumastos lang ako. Every pregnancy is different and baby will come out when he is ready. Remember, labor is stressful on the baby so that the more mature he is, the better he can handle it. star_smile.gif

teka...sino na susunod? Si princeand princess yata then rrbt?

Yeah.. well, this one is unplanned. kaya ayan wala pa ko health insurance preggy na. We are doing our best.. sana wala ng complications.
Medyo mahirap for me... miss ko na mga pag-kain sa Pinas. I just got here three months ago then here I am preggy na! So ung adjustment period ko halo halong emotional rollercoaster. hehe. Hehe but he tries.

4 weeks na lang!!!! Grabe!!!! Excited na ko for you!!! AKo napanaginipan ko ung baby ko kagabi. Kamukha ko daw!! Yikes! Gusto ko pa naman tisoy!!! heheehehe.

Same here. Got pregnant within a week and a half of arriving here. We had been trying for the past 2 years, but I guess God didn't think it was such a good idea for me to be pregnant 8000 miles away from hubby. He asked his employer to include us in his insurance soon after we were married instead of getting a raise; some foresight on his part so that I was covered from day 1 of the pregnancy.

Yup, 4 weeks. And I haven't made an appointment with the pedia yet. I've my pre-natals for my 36th and 37th week, then my pre-op check on my 38th week. Tapos, hiwaan na. biggrin.gif

hi mommies!!!!!

I am back and this time with my baby....

Monday (23th): I was having a bloody show the whole day and with cramps.
Tuesday(24th): schedule for the last prenatal and will be back evening for the induction..waited for the doctor, yet the cramps are getting more intense. By the time doctor came and put on his gloves to check if my dilation improves my water broke and he havet even finish putting his gloves yet..so off to the hospital we go.....I was 3cm still @12nn..1pm and I was 4cm...keeps on going until 12midnight. So they totally discarded the idea of induction since my contractions helped the dilation a looottt...(by the way, the baby pooped so he has to be out soon). Finally, 2 am I asked for epidural, pain was so unbearable and start pushing 4:30 am and he was out 6:59am Wednesday ( 25th). He was 9.13lbs and 22 inches long...AND I AM SO PROUD TO SAY IT WAS A VAGINAL BIRTH! I was soo tore up though but it ws so worth the everything.

Congratulations on a job well done!! Thought you'd have given birth over the last couple of days or so. wow...9.13 lbs...parang 2 months na yung baby mo nung lumabas.

So...welcome to the world of Mommies!!! smile.gif

10 weeks. :-) I can't wait for my due date. I'm racking up medical bills here. Hehe.

How true. Hence the importance of having health insurance.

Don't know about a pregnancy journal. Even in Pinas, I was not given one. Pregnancy ain't so bad (save for the expenses) but every pregnancy is different. Mas nahirapan ako this time around. Wouldn't mind having a third, though smile.gif

Hay...can't wait for this one to be over...just 4 more weeks...

Hi all!!! So I gave birth yesterday, November 25, 2009 at 8:14am, C-section delivery to a healthy baby boy! He weighed in at 7.54 lbs and measured at 20 1/2 inches long. Everything went ok. Im up and walking around now. So instead of a turkey, we are having a baby for thanksgiving. laughing.gif

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Congrats Ria!

Pls. post ka ng pix pag my time ka.

Take care!

Congrats for delivering a healthy baby boy! We're looking forward to see some pics.

I just got back from my in-laws to celebrate the Thanksgiving and still had the turkey for lunch today and with take out pa. Pero i might cook tortang talong for dinner, ask ko lang kung bawal ba talagang kumain ng talong ang mga buntis coz I heared that it is a labor inducer.

Well I still have 4 months of waiting kaya tignan ko nalang.

Received coupons after registering on all the baby formula sites...Gerber and Enfamil...as well as on the sites fo Pampers and Huggies. Got babies r us coupons when I made a registry there, and a $20 gift card from Target. good.gif

Thank you, pink, for reminding me. Yes, she is taking them. Every night now, thanks to you all. I am so forgetful, but a couple times now when I forgot someonen here reminded me. Thank you. I need constant reminders about that or else I will forget.

She was stressed tonight, and was having more cramping... I am worried...

If she is cramping, she needs to rest....and I mean rest. And make an appointment with an OB as soon as possible. Seriously.

Geez...ako kaya...ilang pounds na si Maizy unsure.gif Two weeks ago, my fundic height was 29cm, "growing nicely" ang comment ng OB. Today, nasa 32cm yata fundic height ko...and i did not reach this size with Alec. Naku po...baka maging 9-pounder ito a...she still has 5 weeks to put on weight, about half a pound a week unsure.gif Hirap maupo sa toilet kasi kelangan straight back. Hirap maupo in general, I guess; it's either straight-back or naka-recline nang kaunti. Putting on sneakers is a chore that requires much effort...lol.

I only bought a 36 (or was it 32) piece pack of Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive kasi baka nga malaki si Maizy and will only use these for a short time. Mahal din ang diapers ha kasi minimum amount that you'd be using would be around 8 in a day. Hubby's co-worker is intent on giving us a baby shower and he told her na puro diapers/wipes na lang ang ibigay...and that bumbo seat smile.gif Nag-uwi na rin sya ng mga pang-dressing for after the CS...pati pang-tanggal ng staples inuwi, just in case para di na kami pumunta sa clinic just for staplewire removal.

I went on craigslist tonight...there are people who are willing to give away their coupons for formula...

Drank Anmum, too during my last pregnancy. Tried looking for them on here but a $1.89 gallon of reduced fat milk is just as good as taking $18-20 Anmum plus prenatal vitamins (plus some other calcium/protein/vitamin-rich food). Is a whole lot more practical, too. star_smile.gif

Came back from my prenatal today. All is fine. I have the next (or should I say the last) three check-ups already scheduled, including a pre-op evaluation. All things are a go for the morning of December 28th smile.gif All that needs to be finalized is the time which I should receive a call for. Meantime, the earliest the CS can be done would be 10:30am; would need to be at the hospital 3 hours prior smile.gif Told the OB about the painful contractions and I was told that if it happens again, like 5 in 2 hours, that I am to go to the ER right away. SAid they would not stop the baby from coming but will do the CS instead. Still, hopefully, baby stays at least for the next 2 weeks innocent.gif Went home with pre-op preparations as well as post-op instructions. Am even more excited now smile.gif

hello sa lahat,

nag ultrasound ako today and my baby weighed 5.3 pounds hehehehehe...so di nila ako iinduce they just need to monitor my baby's movement and heart rate thru non stress test which i need to do twice a week...everything is normal sa baby ko yun nga lang ang weight is small...pero sabi ng mama ko kung nasa pinas daw ako normal na raw yun...and my placenta is working naman raw...and ultrasound ulit ako sa dec 8. if di pa ako naglalabor eh on my 39th week they will deliver my baby.

i know my baby is normal kaso nga lang since halos malalaki dito yung mga bata eh for them my baby is small...hehehehe...sabi lang ng nurse sa akin that i just need to monitor baby's movement pag di raw nag move i need to wake him up by putting music or sound sa tummy ko para mag move or kick sabi ko naman when my baby is moving a lot and i put music on my tummy he will stop moving...then she said oh well its the opposite around...hehehehe...

so tomorrow ob check up ko na naman sana nag dilate ako more...gusto na kasi namin makita sya.

ilang weeks ka na now? kasi ako kumakain lang ako ng something sweet like chocolates or cup cake then magmomove agad baby ko. try that kapag gusto mo cya magmove smile.gif

Come to think of it, parang feeling ko di lalagpas and isang oras na di sya gagalaw.

I'd think nasa 37-38 weeks na si bmtrrbt unsure.gif Term na sya and can go into labor anytime smile.gif

Pink - good that di na nag-progress yung contractions mo, although I am sure they are still there. In two weeks, term ka na rin at 37 weeks and okay na para lumabas si Zach smile.gif

I've my pre-natal tomorrow. I am uncomfy as ever...never got this big with Alec. Maizy now incessantly kicks at my right side, tumatama na sa ribcage ko minsan. Haay...I've about 33 days to go till the big day and I can't wait...

actually di ko talaga sure yung last day ng mens ko pero i said baka march 10 pero my doctors still use dec 15 as my due date. i wish i can go to labor anytime but i dont even feel anything...i did have menstrual cramps but then yun lang..nakakainip.

excited na rin masyado hubby ko kaya kanina bumili na sya ng diaper sa sams club...it was 288 pieces for 42 dollars...he kept estimating how many diaper we will use a day and how many pound the baby will grow per week hahahaha...kasi up to 15 pounds lang yung diaper.

I just got a pack of Pampers swaddlers sensitive muna...not sure how baby's skin will react kasi. I have a few coupons for pampers and huggies which will expire early next year pa so eto na muna.

The contractions come and go, turned bad a couple of nights ago...thought i was going into labor as it was really painful. but i was thinking ayaw ko muna pumunta sa ER kasi baka false labor lang, so i decided to wait and change position (to my left side) despite the pain. I think I fell asleep thru the pain and woke up minutes later with the pain gone.....thankfully. Nope, didnt wake hubby up...pagod e. The last think I would want is for the baby to have to be in the NICU kasi it would be still too early for her to come out. Haven't had that kind of contraction again..hopefully never. innocent.gif

Hi everyone!

update lang ako: We went to OB friday and was told to be induced...kaso gusto ko muna antayin after weekends baka lalabas ng kusa si baby kasi kahit na I was still 3cm, fully effaced na daw ako sabi ni doc...pati si doc kong guapo nagtaka nga bakit daw di pa ako nanganak when baby is sooooo drop na daw. Mas malaki na ( obviously) si baby so kailangan nilang i.induce ako soon.

So finally, after being convinced by hubby, I will be induced Tuesday (24th)...sabi ni Doc hopefully, it will be easier for me so we will know kung makaya ko kayang i-ere ang almost 9lbs na baby ko. pero kung di kaya then CS will be the answer ( I am still hoping wag sana).

I will keep you guys updated and sana everything will be good.

hehehehe...sa tuesday rin ang ultrasound ko and by then they will tell me if they will deliver my baby early or not.

My wife bought me the lunch buffet at KFC today after church, hehe... But I made sure she had plenty of protein there too, in keeping with ehr high protein diet....

Today was her birthday. I made her one of those strawberry cheesecakes. Here is a picture.

She is feeling really tired now, a lot, all the time. I am guessing from the early stages of the pregnancy? She also seems to not like it when I mention anything about the baby, such as what is developing today, and about her need for a high protein diet. She asks me not to talk about it, and i am not sure if it is worry because of me having to find a new job or what. I should have a new job this coming week though.

Sometimes I have a hard time figuring her out, and dont ever really know what to do other than just avoid saying the things she says "dont talk about" for now. She was real sweet when I called her at work tonight though. Am sure the hormonal changes also have something to do with it all....

Here is another picture of us today from her birthday

Bear with her. Hormones really get mixed up during pregnancy and this is just the tip of the iceberg, believe me. But how did she feel when she found out she was pregnant?

Am glad that things are turning out well for you. 800 mg of folic acid is right about enough. You will have to support her through morning sickness, if any, as that is really unpleasant for her.

And, yes, you are free to stay around; I don't see why not smile.gif

Congratulations to you both!

It will be my pleasure to support her through morning sickness if she has it. I am 49 and always wanted this, but never thought it would be something that would come to me... I am so thankful for all of it.

Today we were looking online to see what the baby might look like. She has a lot of Chinese in her, and Filipino and Spanish. I have a lot of German, some Dutch and French. That baby will be the United Nations

Lol...am curious, too what our daughter will look like. I have more Spanish than Filipino, hardly any Chinese. My husband is a mix of Spanish, Welsh, French, and German. So we shall see.

Don't forget to put some protein in her diet as proteins are building blocks for the baby's tissue formation. She is fortunate to have such a supportive a husband as you.

My husband and I invested in baby stuff early, putting them all together over the past months. Getting stuff here and there a little at a time helped with our household budget. Now, everything is basically here...just waiting for the owner to be born.

Well, I am excited. First of all, I can already see that coverage by state, when having a financial difficulty such as unemployment, differs state to state. In Virginia, there is virtually no resources available. Medicaid requires that ANY person here, with a few exceptions, from any other country must be here 5 years in order to get any medicaid coverage. It has nothing to do with immigration requirements, only time here. Five years is the rule.

Yesterday after taking my wife to work for her part time job at 5AM I came home and got online and searched more, and found a place here called "Abortion Alternatives, Pregnancy Crisis Cener". It is a Christian outreach center. I called their number at 5AM, just in case, and this man answered who was very kind. I went to see him at 11AM. He was an older man. It turns out this agency is also supported by my church! He was able to make arrangements for a FREE sonogram at an OBGYN here, on December 14, around the time when they can really SEE the fetus and the placenta. I am so exvcited... we have an appointment. And it sounds like they have a sliding scale for payment, for follow-up exams, based on employment. And this Christian place will make sure our baby has a car seat and a bed before it is born too. And they have a building FULL of free maternity clothing for my wife too! And much clothing for when the baby is born all the way until it is a toddler. And free toys too! And he already gave me free prenatal vitamins for my wife, and said he has more of that, all she will need, through her pregnancy. The vitamins have 800 mg folic acid. I read that 400 is good for brain development. I am so happy and relieved. Thank GOD for leading me to this man and place. And thank God for you all too. If you all dot mind, I would like to stay around this group to have you all to talk with through this, since I dont really have anyone else to talk to.

Thank you...

Brian in Virginia

wow pink...mas mauuna ka pa sa akin hehehehe...i wish you will have a safe delivery and safe din si baby mo.

ask ko lang ano ang gagawin nila sa kidney ng baby mo when it comes out? is he gonna undergo surgery or medication lang?

Nasa stage 1 lang so they say na usually eh kusang nagheheal yun once the baby is born pero the urologist needs to check him din pagkalabas nya. Then he might go under several tests din then check up ulit after 6 months. And so far my baby is doing well naman. His specialist named him "Happy Zac" (Zachary kasi magiging firstname ng baby namin) kasi lagi cyang active during ultrasound na parang laging masaya hehe smile.gif Yung ibang may hydronephrosis na malala eh inooperahan or minsan under medication.

Hay naku, walang katapusang contraction in fact eh nagcocontract ako while typing this wacko.gif .

im excited for you...kakaexcite noh kasi anytime today or tom lalabas na sya...

God bless you.

Think of more intense menstrual cramps. Then think of those lasting 30 secs or longer, about 2 mins apart. Is really ouchy blush.gif

Wow...

I hope everything goes fine with your impending labor and delivery. Inggit ako really, but I guess ok na rin since i am getting ready preparing for thanksgiving and then the holidays (getting the house ready for post-christmas guests a.k.a. Maizy's ninongs and ninangs).

So...you are staying at home till the contractions progress?

What my husband and I understand is that you cannot get a Social services (Gov't. support) because when they approved her visa to come here, it's part of a deal that you support her. You are right, Prenatal care is so expensive here we're paying my OB ($580) every visit for a total of ($3000) not included the labs and the hospital bill. My husband has no insurance since i got here coz he is self employed. We are in Central Virginia. I wish you can get another option.

First, hi to all the mommies here and future moms and dads too. luv.gif

Wow that's very expensive brettane $580 each visit?! It's very important to have a health Insurance here really... when I gave birth July last year we only paid $125 and that's it as for the check ups, didn't pay anything except for lab test and ultrasounds so good thing were covered... if not I don't know, we could have been in debt...Ugh.

Yeah you are right its important to have insurance. You don't realize that its too expensive because you have insurance. We already inquired from the hospital and roughly the charges will be $5000 for the mom and $1000 for the baby but thats only for normal delivery and not including the epidural, its really expensive. It's too late now to get Insurance, but definitely we'll get after I gave birth so the baby will also be covered.

Doc's total bills are $3T of which insurance thankfully covered 80%. The remaining 20% we have paid already so that we don't pay anything extra at the doc's office, save for lab procedures of course. CS will cost at least $17.5T, normal delivery at least $12.5T. Baby's fees not included. Again, insurance will cover 80%, but it would still be a big amount. Hopefully mag-offer and insurance ng discount. alam ko kasi may maximum out-of-pocket expenses so maybe our share will be smaller innocent.gif

oh i think kaya walang bula sa iyo because you use playtex...hehehehehehe...

can you tell me ano ba yan and how it works? and magkano rin? kasi baka il try that...

well, you basically have the nipples, caps and rings. yung bottle parang tube. the inserts a.k.a. disposable "bottle" are pre-sterilized already. put one in the bottle, put your water and the formula and, voila! :star:

baby formula has the tendency to constipate...

I give birth 12:32 pm, January 29...

A healthy baby boy.

He is 7 pounds 13 oz and 20 inches tall.

finally!! :) Congrats and welcome to mommyhood! :star:

sobrang mabula nga talaga ang similac kaya nga di ko talaga pinapadede till the last drop sa baby ko ang gatas kasi kasabay nun eh bula na.

hmm...did not note that when i make some for maizy...as in wala...

Sabi sa amin mag four months daw kasi that's the time na cover ng 4 to 6 ounces ng warm amniotic fluid ang baby its enough to get the sample for the test, basta ako tiwala nalang ako kay Lord ah di ba day.. pray nalang tayo.

I turned 39 a few months before my baby was born. In my 11th week, they did a nuchal translucency ultrasound along with blood tests to screen the baby for developmental defects (i.e. down's syndrome, trisomy 23, etc). we waited anxiously for the results which took a week. took a look at the ultrasound though with the ultrasound doc and he said that everything on the ultrasound looked normal for age. the blood tests also were within normal. still, i was skeptical but did not tell my husband about it. I was skeptical till the day Maizy was born. We were given the option of having an amnio done to confirm but we declined knowing that in a small percentage, it can induce preterm labor or result in bleeding among other things. But we had talked about the possibility that even if the baby had developmental defects, we would still have her and not terminate the pregnancy. Am not getting any younger and we have been trying for 2 years for a child. :star:

:-)

i use playtex drop-ins. so, the only things that get washed/sterilized are the nipples, rings and caps. meron ding store-brand na parent's choice that is cheaper than playtex.

Hi to all mommies hopefully everybody's doing great with your babies, I have a question because my OB/GYN ask me last time that if we want to do the Amniocentesis test kasi 37 na ako pero she told us na optional naman kasi nga high risk na daw ang more than 35 years old na pregnant for the baby to have a down syndrome, kasi may next prenatal schedule will be next week, na worried naman ako sa nabasa ko kanina kasi andaming booklets ang binigay sa akin ng OB ko nabasa ko doon about sa down syndrome parang natakot ako tuloy pero marami naman akong friends na nanganak na more 35 years old na sila normal naman, any suggestions please :crying: meron ba mommy dito na nanganak na more than 35 na? share naman yong may ideas jan ha...pero sabi naman sa akin ng OB ko maganda naman daw yong pag grow ng baby ko normal naman daw pero syempre maaga pa naman I'll pray a lot na sana nga wala lang problema ang pag buntis ko trust naman ako kay Lord kaso di ko maiwasan minsan mag worry tao lang ako di ba....thanks in advance...

we declined that when we were offered it after i got the results of the nuchal translucency ultrasound and the simultaneous blood test that came with it. have you done or were you offered that ultrasound?

30 days?

There was a time ginamit ko sa paglinis ng baby ay lukewarm water at wash cloth. Pero di nagtagal kasi tinatamad. Kaya wipes na lang. Matagal din naman maubos. We're using refills kasi mas mura. :)

No'ng maliit pa si Evie mas gusto ko yong snap dahil mas convenient sa pag change ng diaper. pero ngayong malaki na at sobrang likot, yong snaps sa bandang dulo hanggang tyan na-a unsnap lalo na't magising sya at naglilikot, so half naked tuloy. Mas prefer ko ngayon ang zippered.

Can't remember na nag flaky scalp nya when she was Maizy's age. Nagka-cradle cap si Evie when she was 3 months no'ng time na gumagrabe eczema nya at na-hospital dahil nagka skin infection. Tapos pag bath time nya, gumagamit sila ng suklay na soft ang brush to scrape the scabs.

dunno. alec never had it or any rash for that matter. red dot ang simula ng what kay evie?

Do you think mga mommies I am producing enough milk for my baby? Naexperience niyo ba to mga mommies?

Ganun din si Maizy. Yesterday, we were at the lactation consultant's office and wineigh si Maizy tapos pina breastfeed sa akin then wineigh sya ulit and she gained 2 oz after feeding from one breast. So i guess she is getting enough. I don't feel the heaviness sa breasts kasi panay dede ni maizy sa akin. When i try to pump in between pag tulog sya, i don't get much, but then again, mas efficient pag baby ang nag-"pump" with her feeding. The nurse at the hospital is right...the more you breastfeed, the more milk you'll make. you need to drink more fluids, though, and eat more nutritious food. Maizy feeds siguro every 1.5-2 hours pag gising. At night, pag sobrang antok talaga ko, I give formula tapos yung next feeding nya fter that sa akin...tinatabi ko para makatulog ako habang pinapadede ko from my own supply :)

Shiela - Never too late para h'wag gumamit ng tap water.

Pink - Di ako nag-sterilize ng feeding bottles that often. I just make sure na mainit na tubig ginagamit ko pag-hinuhugasan. Last time ko nag-sterilize was 2 months ago :D Ang laki na ni Zach, ano?

How about si Tyree?

i recall nung inaalagaan ko yung pamangkin ko (he is now 23 years old), cotton balls at tubig ang pinanglilinis sa kanya :) Kay Alec, ganun di ginamit ko. Now, since mura dito ang wipes (parent's choice and sam's club's huggies are the cheapest by far), puro wipes. We found a couple of wipe warmers sa Goodwill store so that di mabigla yung pwet ni Maizy sa lamig ng wipes...lalo't below freezing dito during most of the daytime. One in our bedroom for nightime changes and another downstairs for daytime changes :)

siguro, twice a week ako mag-wash and sterilize ng bottles since about 3 a day lang ang nagagamit, e she has about or 8 or 9 yata. I use a steam sterilizer...4 mins in the microwave.

sleepers...i have both the snap-type and the zippered. mas gusto ni hubby yung zippered kasi mas madaling palitan ng diaper kesa sa snap. Ako, walang preference.

i noted some "rashes" on maizy's cheeks...they look like red dots. Am thinking this is what they call "baby acne" from mommy's hormones still. hindi naman sya naiirita with the rashes...actually, ako yung naiirita, and i have not really put anything on them. i did ask hubby to bring home the lowest strength of hydrocortisone.

Question: did your baby's scalp flake? si maizy kasi, yun ang napansin ko na parang nag-dry scalp nya or baka ito pa rin yung nag-babalat like her skin did? Switched her from J and J na head-to-toe wash to Aveeno and I don't wash her head everyday kasi baka lalo mag-dry. She got some seborrheic dermatitis/cradle cap on her eyebrows which i oil everyday to remove the flakes.

beofr i gave birth my hubby asked me if i want to buy that bottle warmer pero i said no need hehehehehe...im not sure din kasi how it works or kung may particular bottle ba na pwede lang igamit sa bottle warmer...kaya yun...

got a First Years Quick Serve bottle warmer at.....the thrift store!!! :D Fits all sizes of bottles and fits baby food jars, too! i don't use it much, only when warming milk that was stored in the ref. it's quite good; a couple minutes warm na yung milk (of course, the bigger the bottle, the longer the time but few mins lang din) otherwise, i don't really heat bottles kasi room temp yung water na nilalagay and i breastfeed. :)

how many oz does maizy take? i don't know kasi nga deretso from the breast sya umiinom. the formula, 9-10 oz in a day, more pag nasa labas kami...am just not comfortable breastfeeding in public. eto sya right now...kagigicing lang kanina, eto at nakatulog --- nalasing sa breastmilk

thank u..

i grew up observing my mother/aunt/cousins sterilizing water for my sister's/cousin's/nephew's/niece's use. when bottled water came out, and my eldest was born, her pedia was one of the known pedias and she advised using distilled water as some constituents of mineral water wasn't really good for a very young baby, unlike distilled water which has nothing but pure water in it. so, i use distilled water for maizy :)
