HELLO TO ALL PREGNANT MOMMIES.

thank you sa reply mo.sana maging healthy baby ko kc ngyn hindi me pa masyado mkakain.kc para ko lagi busog.parang laging my hangin un tyan ko.normal lng ba sa 14 weeks preggy na makati un tiyan?saka every time na magclean ako ng nose my blood nagkaganun din ka ba?san ka sa us?maybe i can call u sometimes?if ok lng?ang cute ng baby mo.

Is okay to miss at times although it is best to take some, as you are now supplementing for the baby. Ask your OB for another type of prenatal vits...you will need the folic acid content in them among others. Your bloatedness may be due to the iron content in them. Then again, mixed-up hormones brought about by the pregnancy can mess up your digestive system smile.gif Nothing wrong with taking Maalox or simethicone or Tums to help with that, plus small frequent non-oily feeding.

I get nosebleeds almost every day, lalo ngayon that temps dip to 35-37F in the morning. Is normal, too...blood vessels are more fragile in pregnant women, add to that the expected nasal congestion caused by expanded blood volume.

Hello Mga mommies,
Hows everyone? I am not feeling too good. I was at the hospital for the last 4 days. I had an early contraction last monda and 3 cm dialated(dunno if i say it ryt) They gave me the magnesium sulfate to stop the contraction and the steroids for my babys lung to develop. I am so thakful that I went to the hospital ahead of time. I did not know that I was contracting. Right now I am in bedrest. I am only 33 weeks and 5 days. Mommies please PRAY for me and for my BABY. This pregnancy is not easy for me. I need to be strong. Thank you.

P.S When I went back home from the hospital my milk is dropping.

Well, you can't lift a finger, then. Let hubby do everything...time for him to wait on you smile.gif Milk let-down should be normal at this stage...handa ka na mag-breastfeed smile.gif Another few weeks and baby should be quite ready by then good.gif

chris@beth, grabe!

Baka next month namin simulan AOS namin hehe. Tapos yester naman ay nasa OB ako. Aba! bigla akong bumigat ng 5 1/2 lbs since last 2 weeks lol! I was 136 1/2 lbs last Sept.

Yes, you will have twice monthly check-ups from here on end then every week starting your 36th week smile.gif

I turn away from the weighing scale at the doc's clinic. Am resigned to the fact that I will be gaining weight quick because the baby will putting on a lot more weight as the weeks go by (like half a pound every week for the next 12 weeks). Add to that the added weight of the growing uterus and blood volume. Am also resigned to the fact that I am indeed heavy...pati si hubby pansin nya. Takes note of my enormous tummy, too, saying it seems to grow bigger every day unsure.gif

Sa ngayon, mukhang natutuwa si Maizy sa kasisipa sa may ribcage ko. sometimes it seems that she drags her knee/foot really hard across my side...is yayay, really. And I thought Alec's kung-fu kicks to my spleen at 8 months was painful. blink.gif

Having my 28th week prenatal next week...as well as my glucose test, too...I swear, babagsak ako headbonk.gif Doc says there is no indication for another UTZ since baby is growing ok.

Leg cramps...i don't have those anymore. I take some fruit (banana) in the evening...it helps. good.gif

Everytime that i had to turn sides, nagigising ako sa sakit. Don't like to take meds. Drove Alec to school, cleaned the kitchen (it was just getting to me, you know?), made some champorado (which I just had...yummy!). Of course, as expected, those did not help with the pain. Am now sitting in my lazyboy watching a recorded Grey's Anatomy. In less than an hour, need to pick Alec up at school, then prepare dinner...heck, i don't even know what to prepare. Haay...hirap talaga pag buntis ka na nga, may aalagaan ka pang dalawang tao (other than the baby, of course). whistling.gif

Hay naku...before Alec, there was my now-an-adult nephew/godson who can't believe that he pooped in his pants when he was about 2 years old. I'd spend some days at their house caring for him when he was a baby while his parents went to fix their Canadian visas (they did not trust the yaya). And then there was my 15-year-old niece/goddaugher at whose birth I was present (I was an intern rotating in the Pedia ER) and whom I had access to at the nursery. Not to mention all those babies who were born while was rotating in the hospital nursery...hay, nakakagigil silang lahat...and the babies I've delivered. So, I've had some training before Alec was born smile.gif

ano-anu gamit ang dapat dalhin sa hospital during your delivery??????

I think there are about 6 or 7 of us who are due to deliver in the wintertime (anybody, feel free to correct me). Most of the clothes I got for Baby's first 3 months (am due anytime bet Dec 21-28) are mostly long-sleeved onesies, sleeper outfits, sweaters, baby bunting for when I have to take her outside, fleece and terry-cloth outfits. Also got her several socks, hats (thick/knit ones for colder weather), an infant snow suit (with reversible sleeve ends to keep her hands warm) and a car seat cover. Also have fleece and flannel blankets for use in the wintertime, along with some swaddlers that my mother-in-law sent.

What to bring to hospital...have not really thought about that yet, but at least 2-3 outfits (one is a going-home one) for baby, a change of clothing for myself plus some socks to keep my feet warm, a receiving blanket, a few diapers. Of course, you have to have a car seat already to take baby home. Am a repeat CS so I know jsut about how long i'm going to be at the hospital.

Eve - Nagka-eczema din pala si Jacob. Just apply aquaphor while it's mild. Yong kay Evie it started as mild din at dumami. No'ng dumami na we applied 1% hydrocortisone tapos aquaphor. One friend from the church ang nag-advice sa akin no'n kasi nagka eczema sya nong maliit pa sya at oat meal ginagamit ng mama nya. Also avoid Jacob scratching his skin, kasi yon ang nagti-trigger sa rashes. Sabi nga ang eczema is "the itch that rashes" and not "the rash that itches."

it just does. Especially in those with a family history of allergies and/or asthma. Hubby had some form of exertional asthma in highschool and has morning allergic rhinitis so that I am extra careful with choosing Maizy's diapers, wipes, laundry detergent, even her baby wash.

hello sa lahat,

nakakatuwa na nakakatawa na sunod-sunod pumutok ang mga december babies hehehehe... parang kailan lang natahimik medyo ang preggy thread after nanganak yung ibang mommies before then eto suno-sunod ulit kaya bibong-bibo ulit ang thread na to hehehehe...

princess...congrats nauna ka pala sa akin ah hehehehe...tabaching-ching cutie baby mo ah...

pink...congrats to you too...ano bang feeling nay may epidural while in labor? laughing while pushing parang nakakatawa nga kasi your pushing but then not be able to feel kung anong lalabas...actually while my ob was stitching me eh i asked if i poop and she told me no kaya happy ako...hehehehe...post pic agad ha...and im happy for baby zac's kidney nasqueeze siguro pag panganak yung kidney nya kaya naclear hehehehe...

about breastfeeding...naku me and my hubby are laughing about it kasi para akong nagpaboob job kasi lumaki at nanigas boobs ko hehehehe parang may kung anong bato ang nilagay sa boobs ko...actually minsan masakit yung sucking pero tinitiis ko lang para mabusog lang sya...pero kahit kunti binibigyan ko sya ng formula para makatulog naman ako...

yesterday and today me and my hubby went fishing...my baby likes being in the car kasi nakakatulog sya or tumitingin-tingin...meron lang kaming napansin sa mata ng baby namin kasi maypagka blue ang dating pero di pa masyadong clear talaga kasi most of the time he sleeps...sabi ko sa hubby ko naku di ako nakipagsex sa iba ha nah...hehehehe kasi black eyes ako then sya eh brown eyes.

God bless us all.

about the blue eyes, sabi ng kapatid ko di raw pwede maging blue eyes unless pareho kayong may genes na blue eyes. hehe. sayang! ung asawa ko ung daddy nya blue eyes kaya lang di daw mamamana hehe.

Actually, all babies will have somewhat blue eyes at birth. Will take a few weeks before the real eye color comes out smile.gif Hubby has blue eyes, mine are black, but my father's were grayish (the Spanish in him). Hubby is the only one amongst his siblings with blue eyes; theirs are brown, just like my MIL and her side of rthe family. So, we'll see what Maizy's will be star_smile.gif

Our Jacob naman is doing good..beside the mild eczema sa kanyang ulo sad.gif

Naku eve...matagal-tagal pa bago manganak yung lahat unsure.gif

Eczema...saang state ka nga? Weather-related? My li'l 4-month-old nephew has a bit of that and his grandad (my uncle) told his mom to try Aquaphor on it or petroleum jelly...seems to work. May history ba ng allergies/asthma sa family mo or your hubby's? It may be related.

haay...9 days pa hihintayin ko...kaainip...

2:34 PM - The baby was delivered through normal delivery. He weighs 7.52 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long kicking.gif and we have another good news! He had his ultrasound and his kidneys are cleared kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif He still needs to see his Urologist though to have his KUB to make sure that there is really no more liquids in his kidneys.

I didn't feel ANY pain at all because they gave me Epi first before Petocin. My husband was with me during the delivery smile.gif Tapos during delivery eh they were wondering kung bakit ako nagpupush sabay tawa LOL! kasi naman ala akong nafeefeel na pain eh nagexpect pa naman ako ng worst pain ever tapos feeling ko tuloy di ako nanganak hehe.

I am soooo thankful to God about this wonderful blessing. Sarap ng feeling lalo na ng nilagay nila sa tummy ko si baby just right after he came out of my tummy.

I am still here in the hosp. salamat at meron silang WIFI at may pinagkakaabalahan ako dito hehe. I can't post his pic yet kasi may mga certain sites na hindi inaallow ng hosp. na i-open including na dun yung photobucket so siguro when i get home na lang on Sat ko post .

RR - Congrats at nanganak ka na rin pala kicking.gif Ang saya ng feeling no? sayang at di ko man lang nakita yung pic ni baby mo.

Princess - Congrats din sa'yo! kicking.gif halos magkasing bigat din pala baby natin and tama ka it is all worthy kapag nahawakan mo na baby mo. star_smile.gif Sana gumaling na agad yung tahi mo at ang cute ng baby mo ha! smile.gif

Doc Gracey, sunod ka na! star_smile.gif Good Luck star_smile.gif

Congrats!!! Didn't think you'd have a hard time kasi 5 cm ka na the day before. Nakakapagtaka lang na even at 6 cm di pa nag-start yung contractions mo till they gave you Pitocin.

And I'm glad that his kidneys are fine smile.gif

Kakatuwa naman...sunod-sunod ang mga birthday ng mga baby natin star_smile.gif Abala ako preparing the house for my MIL's arrival on the 25th plus the last minute stuff for Maizy's arrival. Kagagaling ko lang sa Wal-Mart today headbonk.gif Ewan...feeling ko kasi mabait naman si Maizy and she'll stay put till the scheduled day innocent.gif

Enjoy mommyhood star_smile.gif

Which is why baby needs to feed every so often, and which is why you may need a breast pump to rid your breasts of all that milk. As for the sensitivity, that is quite normal at the start and at the last trimester of pregnancy.

Hello mga mommies and mommies-to-be!

RR - Congratulations ang cute ng baby mo!

Doc gracey and pink - you both are next in line... good luck and have a safe delivery!

Good news mga buntis at mga mommies.... nanganak na ako last Fri at 9:41 PM (Dec 11). Our baby girl (her first name Abigail) was very healthy and she weight 7.44 lbs! CS ako kasi may birth canal was too small for vaginal delivery. I thought CS was bad but it's really not. And it's worth all the pain after I hold our baby in my arms. I had a speedy recovery... thanks God! What I'm dealing now is getting up every three hours during night since I'm breast feeding our baby... It such a joy to hold our baby in my arm and talking to her while nursing her (nakakaaliw when she's smiling at me). I took a nap when the baby's aslept. And I already missed her inside my tummy. So, mga buntis enjoy your pregnancy! I will post some pics...

Congratulations! Yes, nakakamiss maging buntis but then again, mas madaling kumilos, di ba? CS ain't so bad...unless you had one like mine na emergency --- my incision was top-to-bottom, and not side-to-side kaya mas matagal nag-heal and sobrang hirap kumilos at bumangon.

So, enjoy motherhood...there's nothing like it in the entire world smile.gif

Nanganak na siguro si pink...I guess I'm next star_smile.gif

thanks ms. gracey...sa ultrasound ko before akala ko magiging katulad sa akin ilong ng baby ko kaya sabi ko sa sarili ko tanggapin ang katotohanang pinanganak akong pango kaya ipapanganak kitang pango rin hahahaha...pero it turned out na medyo di pala totally pango...kaya sobrang happy ko. his name is tyree and his 6.47 pounds pero ewan ko ba kasi malaki yung pang new born clothes sa kanya...buti na lang meron medyo maliit kunti kaya yun na lang pinasuot ko.

im breastfeeding too pero kagabi i gave him formula kasi feeling ko baka di sya nabubusog kasi baka wala akong gatas...nagtimpla ako ng 2 oz pero half lang pinaubos ko kasi baka manibago...i just want to make my self secure na meron syang nakainom...sa latching i never had problems pero nagworry ako kasi sa ospital tulog lang sya ng tulog kaya di sya masyadong nakadede but then the nurse told me its normal for newborn. about sa puyatan medyo sanay na ako kasi sa hospital im always left alone at night kasi umuwi hubby ko pinapakuha ko lang sa nurse if i want to have sleep for like 3 hours or 4...sa ngayon medyo luntang ako but i need to be awake for the baby kasi ako lang mag isa hubby is working but then i dont know maybe its the adrenalin of being a mother makes me feel awake...hehehehe...

i guess pink will have easy delivery kasi 5cm na sya...

doc gracey lapit na rin time mo...hehehehe...di ka na baguhan kaya you know already but then maybe different this time...hehehehehe...

God bless us all.

Better to have clothes he can still grow in kesa yung maliitan nya kaagad. My li'l girl is 7.5 lbs na nung tuesday, e may two weeks pa sya para mag-gain ng weight. baka umabot ng 8.5 pa unsure.gif Feeling ko sandali lang nya masusuot yung mga pang-newborn nya. Size 1 diapers din yung bibilhin ko; konti lang yung pang-newborn...just enough for her umbilical stump to heal.

Breastfed babies nurse more often than bottlefed ones kasi mas madali nilang ma-digest and breastmilk than formula. So it's not a surprise if your boy wakes up every hour. It just means that na-digest na nya yung dinede nya sa you good.gif And feed from both breasts. Your milk will come in if you breast feed more often --- a baby's suckling action is what makes you produce milk. Oh...a newborn will sleep an average of 20 hours a day smile.gif

Most probably it will be different for me. Sa Pinas kasi, di niro-room-in kaagad pag CS, and they would feed formula to the baby while you are recuperating from surgery. Am looking forward to feeding Maizy withing a couple of hours post-delivery. They will observe her for an hour muna before they room her in with me. Also, di uso sa Pinas and birth plan, not like here. So, I've made one on paper and will take that to my pre-op check on Monday.

Enjoy those late-night puyats...and take lots of fluids star_smile.gif

hello sa lahat,

nanganak na ako nung monday 6:55pm with a healthy baby boy kauuwi lang namin ngayon.

monday i had my non stress test and when they checked my fluid eh 4 na kaya they told me to go to the hospital na para mainduce ako. well before kami pumunta ng ospital nagpakabusog muna ako we went to kfc and jack in the box para lang busog talaga ako for strength sa pushing time.

around 12 noon nag check in nako sa ospital and they started to give me IV then next was pitocin for inducing...i told the nurse na maya na lang ako hihingi ng epidural pag masakit na yung contractions ko...i started to have contractions pero di naman masakit kaya everytime the nurse check me i always ask if im having a lot of contractions already or if she increased my pitocin already kasi parang walang effect...hehehehe...when the attending ob came she said oh you didnt have epidural yet and i said im just gonna ask for it if i cant take the pain anymore...so yun around 6pm eh sumasakit na yung contractions ko so i thought maybe im starting to have real contractions na talaga so i thought it will get more and more painful so yun i asked for epidural na naku eh the nurse told me na yung anesthiologist is attending another patient pa and they will need to draw another blood to me to check for something...so yun naghintay muna ako but then i told my hubby that its painful na so yun the nurse gave me pain medication that will last for an hour or more while waiting for the epidural...nung binigay na yung pain medication sa akin eh ang bilis kung na high at sobrang umikot mundo ko at pinawisan ako ng todo and sobrang uminit pakiramdam ko...well it didnt last for 30 minutes eh nafeel ko ulit yung contractions nawala agad yung effect ng medication...so the nurse decided to call my ob to check my cervix so yun 9 and a half dilated na pala ako and my ob said that she will do something to to bring the anesthiologist for my epidural so lumabas na sila ng nurse sa room ko...wala pang 3 minutes eh i felt na lalabas na ang baby so i told my hubby to call them...when my hubby told them that its gonna come out na my ob and the other nurses nagtakbuhan papunta sa room ko at mabilisang nag prepare for delivery...medyo nashock ako hahahahaha...while my ob was preparing she told me not to push pero yun malapit na talagang lumabas hehehehe...so yun wala akong epidural and in less the 10 minutes nailabas ko baby ko...hehehehehe...in the middle of pushing time the contraction stopped for awhile and they were just waiting and looking at me so i said oh it stopped and i laughed and they told me its okay we will be here waiting for you...so yun kahit walang contractions eh pinush ko talaga ang baby...kaya yun medyo nakakatawa yung delivery ko it was unexpected hehehehehe...

pink...good luck sa delivery mo...

Hay...mabuti naman...akala ko maunahan pa kita e smile.gif hoping for a safe delivery...no complications innocent.gif Pics ha...

Ako, eto...I've made 4 different lists: one for what I need to do before the 25th, another for what Maizy still needs including a side list of what things she will need at the hospital, another for what I need to bring to the hospital, and one I've made in my mind about what I need to get at the grocery for the Christmas meal. The first list looks a bit daunting but am hoping to get these done before the 25th (wash baby blankets, washcloths and bunting...sterilize breast pump accessories and feeding bottles...wash the diaper disposal unit..install the car seat...and pack my bag).

Hey rrbt...ikaw, kelan ka i-induce?

Hmm...si princess kaya...

Came from my second-to-the-last pre-natal check smile.gif Met with the OB who would be performing the surgery and she, too, said that the baby measured somewhat small for gestational age. So she requested for a biophysical scoring ultrasound rather than the previously scheduled growth monitoring ultrasound. Thankfully a slot opened up so that it was done right away. Happy to say that Maizy is doing quite well, practicing her breathing, moving around...even sticking her tongue out at Daddy and Mommy star_smile.gif Also, she is DEFINITELY a girl good.gif She isn't small at all. She is up to date, her summary of various measurements done shows her to be 37 weeks and 3 days. Some of her measurements were at a 39 week-old baby's. Her estimated weight is already at 3,533 gms or 7 1/2 lbs. So, she may be around 8.5 lbs come D-day smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif So, talagang masi-CS ako even if we tried for a natural delivery. I've been advised regarding my upcoming surgery as well as watching out for signs of labor. Am sure Maizy will behave and will stay in my tummy till the 28th innocent.gif

marybeth - you may be experiencing some form of sciatica. Ask your OB about it. Some pain relievers may help, plus laying on your side at night para baby won't be laying on the nerve involved.

to the new soon-to-be Mommies...welcome to this thread smile.gif

Nothing wrong in taking some acetaminophen. I didn't want to take any meds but the pain was just too much that I couldn't do much. It helped a lot. Add to that a warm compress, back exercises, and a sensual backrub innocent.gif

The cramping...well, not much you can do about that; they'll keep coming and will be more frequent as the weeks go by. Drink lots of fluids. good.gif

I feel Maizy's feet along my right side most often although pa-palit-palit sya minsan. minsan uumbok na lang sa right so andun sya; minsan sa left.

You're supposed to be allowed 5 mins to finish a 75g glucose load. And did you ask for the orange-flavored one? Tastes better than the colorless plain glucose.

Had my check-up today. The medical assistant thought I needed a Group B strep test...di nya alam na CS ako and did not need to have that. Thankful that it was cancelled para sa iba na lang mapunta yung gastos for that.

Told my OB about the increasing frequency of contractions (like 4 in an hour occasionally with pain) and she did an internal exam. I am not dilated (thankful that I am not...yet) but my cervix has thinned out which is favorable for an impending CS. Maizy is now head-down, but she said that di daw mag-jive yung fundic height with the age in weeks so I am having an ultrasound tomorrow to check Maizy's weight. That what I was told din when I was having Alec. and she turned out big....puro baby yung tyan ko. I'd think ganun din with Maizy innocent.gif

2 more check-ups to go smile.gif

Totoo ba yon? unsure.gif

Not really sure about that. But Maizy has Caucasian blood in her...Daddy was 8.2 when he was born (as per his crib ID which I kept smile.gif ). Alec is Pinoy and was already 8.2. And my tummy is bigger (and feels heavier) than with Alec. unsure.gif

hi to all mommies and soon to be mommy....im glad to announce i'm 10 weeks and 4days pregnant. Anyway, how did u handle the morning sickness and heartburn? im really having trouble about eating properly because i am sooo picky. I crave more on filipino food like dried fish rather than the healthy food from health store. i am just worried that my baby is not getting the essential nutrients i need. any idea please, it is greatly appreciated.

Anjilla

first of all, congratulations!

Morning sickness fixes: Small frequent feedings. Avoid oily/fatty/acidic/spicy food. Citrus fruit or juices should alleviate it some. Start your pre-natal vitamins. Dried fish is ok but not too often...too much salt isn't good. Snack on fruit or saltine crackers (Skyflakes is good biggrin.gif ). If heartburn persists, antacids like Mylanta or Maalox is ok; if still persistent, ask your OB for a prescription for a "higher level" medication. I had my share of morning sickness and it wasn't pleasant at all and I lost weight because of my altered appetite. don't worry; you are 10 weeks now. In a few more weeks, you should be out of it smile.gif

Thanks sa info. I'm going to talk to my doctor and tell her I don't want to do the unnecessary spinal cord test and down syndrome. Husband wasn't with me on my first visit kaya di ko gaano alam kung ano ba ang normal dito. So far, I got HIV, STD, Urine Test, at blood sugar. Kelangan ko daw bumalik for the blood sugar 3 hour test. I'm looking into getting an Emergency Medicaid din... sana ma-approve ako dun. Then I will be asking for financial assistance from the Catholic church that runs the hospital. :-)

June ang due date ko. I can't wait to know the sex of my baby!

Bata ka pa naman at wala naman yata kayong lahing me Down Syndrome kaya its not necessary pero if you want to make sure that the baby is fine its up to you. The OB wouldnt mind if you decline, she might just asked you to sign a paper that you are not doing those tests.

Pag 18-22 weeks mo pa malalaman ang sex ng baby mo, napaluha nga ako nung ultrasound ko esp. when the doctor said everything was fine kinakabahan din kasi ako baka me makitang problem kay baby. Goodluck and God Bless!

That would be fine for you to forgo those tests for genetic abnormalities owing to your age. Down's Syndrome isn't wholly hereditary though, nor are the other genetic diseases as other factors influence fetal development other than heredity. Can't say the same for the 3-hour test, though...kelangan talaga because gestational diabetes is really not good for the baby...I, too, do not have any history of diabetes in the family. I have not a choice about it since advanced maternal age na ako. I did the nuchal translucency test at 11 weeks with an accompanying blood test and that cost not less than $600. My first visit labs cost even more than that. Thankfully, we've paid off our OB's prepay (including the urinalysis that they do every check-up) so that we won't have to worry about paying every time we go for check-ups. The professional fees are all included in that up to the post-natal check. Mas magastos talaga manganak dito. But they do all that can be done to ensure that both mom and baby are okay. We're not rich but we were able to get health insurance prior to coming here. Am quite nervous about the hospital costs kasi even with insurance, it will go to at least $3500 for both my and the baby's bills. That would take a big chunk out of our savings. But that's how it is. Taking the risk in opting for a vaginal delivery with a chance of uterine rupture just doesn't sit well with us.

Just keep yourself healthy. Take your pre-natal vitamins and foods rich in folic acid, iron, protein, and calcium. Yes, you can have the occasional craving at times.

And yes, some institutions in the Philippines do these exams star_smile.gif

Hello!

Elevated blood sugar in pregnancy is a case-to-case basis. Pregnancy hormones make the body resistant to insulin which controls blood sugar levels...more so if there is a family history of diabetes. Advanced maternal age can also cause this. My blood sugar was elevated, too, and they had me undergo a 3-hour test to try to confirm this. In my case though, my 3-hour test had odd results and I had to self-monitor my blood sugar 3 times daily after each meal. 1.5 months later, my blood sugar monitoring has been ok and I have stopped monitoring altogether, just doing a spot check every now and then. Note, though, that even if your friends' sugar levels are normal, it still isn't a good idea to have such a sweet tooth during pregnancy as it can result in a baby's big birth weight.

Sad to say, but there are still tests to undergo, depending on how your pregnancy turns out. Hopefully, all will be fine.

My wife had bleeding about 3 times, just a little...spotting maybe. Then after intercourse there was a lot of blood, a little like during period. Maybe as bad, not worse than that. No cramping or bleeding before or after. No cramping during. Only the blood. A handful of spots the size of quarters, Two hand rags with dark color blood on them. One the size of a half dollar just a little more red, but that was on a white background so maybe that is why a little bit brighter. No fever. I checked her vital signs... blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations all normal. She felt fine. A couple hours later she tried to vomit, only clear. Acidic stomach. Next morning acidic stomach but still no more bleeding. Only blood was right after intercourse.

I called the Gyn today, we have appointment Thursday. They only asked if there was cramping, but none. They said bring her to ER if any more blood, but we dont have the money for that. But no more blood. Will be glad to get the prognosis Thursday after the blood tests.

I know that the cervix gets engulfed with blood in early pregnancy. I know blood vessels can rupture easily. Am hoping that is all that it is, from irritation. The bleeding to me looked like venous blood, not arterial bleeding. I dont think there were any clots.... not certain, but dont think so. Not wanting to be too detailed here. Just worried, and praying.

Still taking vitamins daily. Am trying to keep her eating protein, lean meats. I do all the cooking, so it is my responsibility. I get her warm milk every night to drink so she is getting her dairy products. I try to get her to eat fruits and vegetables, but I see that usually the only way I get her to eat fruit is if it is in yogurt or if I make a mixed fruit salad. Trying to get her to eat spinach, lettuce, broccoli, carrots in vegetable salads. She gets eggs in the morning, so I know those are high in protein.

She had miscarriage right after we married, and still nothing that is anything to her that has happened like when she had that miscarriage. Am hoping bleeding without cramping and only after sex and no more right before or any time after is positive.

It is really hard to just wait for a doctor visit to find out what is going on....

Brian in Virginia

one of the 3 times she bled before this last was also the night of intercourse. So 2 out of 4 times she bled followed intercourse. Little the first 3 times she bled.

You should refrain from intercourse from this point onward. Bleeding anytime during pregnancy isn't good. She needs to rest for now, and be seen by an OB ASAP
