Naku, si Alec hindi...Dec 26 b-day nya but hiwalay ang mga christmas gifts sa bday gifts nya. Ganun din for this one. Saya nga kasi Pasko, tapos bday ng dalawang bata, tapos anniversary namin, tapos new year smile.gif

Carefree, I got the coupons in mail this morning kicking.gif maraming thank you biggrin.gif star_smile.gif

VBAC - vaginal birth after cesarean. My former OB told me I could opt for that but I was also told that malamang mauuwi din sa CS kasi medyo prominent yung ischial spines ko (assessed thru an internal exam), meaning that medyo my kasikipan yung pelvic outlet ko. My OB now tells me that Maizy is up to date with her growth. When I was having Alec, sabi ng OB ko (at 7 months) na maliit lang daw sya na lalabas...yun pala puro baby yung laki ng tyan ko. With Maizy now, my tummy is bigger at this stage than it was with Alec at this stage so that malamang mas malaki ito kesa kay Alec. There is a 97% success with VBAC, but there is also that 3% failure, and small as that is, ayaw nya i-risk.

Looked up the estimated costs for a CS at the hospital website...anywhere between $17.5T - $18.5T. Geez... blink.gif Di pa kasama yung newborn care dun and the doc's fees which, thankfully, we have already paid. Normal delivery is between $12.5T- $13T++. SAbi ko kay hubby, i-try nalang kaya ang VBAC but ayaw nya kasi risky for me plus sinabihan na kami na malamang CS din ang uwi because of the baby's possible big size plus a slightly small outlet. Next week, the OB will make a requisition at the hospital for my CS.

Binayaran namin is $1,300.

We do have insurance, 80/20 co-pay. Naku, sana nga. I did hear something about insurance companies giving discounts. unsure.gif

ano ba ang feeling ng contractions?

Yung uncomfy feeling na naninigas yung tiyan mo for less than a minute tapos biglang babalik sa dati yung tiyan mo. Sa tagalog ata ng contraction eh "naghihilab". Ang sabi ni OB kaya daw may contraction dahil ang uterus ay nageexpand in preparation in giving birth. Sign din ng labor ang contraction. One contraction every hour is normal pero you need to count din your contraction if you are experiencing it frequently kasi baka maglabor ka na. Sabi ni OB kapag 8 contractions within 2 hours accompanied by lower back pain at reddish discharge then that means eh maglalabor na daw yun.

Mine get really really tight and very uncomfortable...like with a little pain ba, lalo pag sasabayan ng suntok/sipa/galaw ng bata. My back ache is terrible, lalo pag bababa ako ng sasakyan and i have to twist around, when I get up from sitting or when i have to change positions during the night. Don't really like taking meds, no matter what my doc and my brother says. My tummy is really heavy, feeling ko banat na banat na yung balat ko sa tagiliran and my abdominal oblique muscles, too. MInsan, i have to carry my tummy para lang di masyado uncomfy. I am thinking of giving up my under-the-belly underwear for the full-panel ones that would offer more support. di naman malaking-malaki tummy ko...mabigat lang.

Question for those na na-CS na: How much was your hospital bill? Anyone who has a 20% co-pay insurance...how much did you shell out? unsure.gif

To those who delivered na: did you select your pedia beforehand? Met with them before birth?

Doc Gracey,

I don't have insurance but they gave me a quote of $17,000. Discounted price na daw yun for c-section kc self pay kami. My doctor gave me a price of $3,000 for all pre natal visits, ultrasound and delivery. I have my own pedia na and I met with her when my son got sick. She was really nice so I asked her if she could be my baby's pedia when I give birth. It's a good thing na she is affiliated with the hospital where Im going to give birth.

On my 37th week and feeling some contractions already!

Thanks Ria. We paid off our 20% copay of the $3T professional fees na, good till the post-partum check. So we are looking at some $3500 in hospital bills....yikes!

Am going to give the pedia I am looking to get a call soon after my OB requisitions for my CS for Dec 28th. She suggested this pedia kasi nag-iisa lang sya and not part of a corporation so that mas personalized ang dating. smile.gif

So ngayon eh parang nalito tuloy ako kung hiccups ba yun or heartbeat hehe.

those would most likely be hiccups than heartbeats....mahirap ma-feel ang heart beat dahil unang-una...it is unlikely na nakadikit ang chest ni baby to your uterine wall and, secondly, baby has to have a very big heart for heart movement to be felt through his chest wall then through your uterine wall and then your tummy wall star_smile.gif

I am scheduled for another ultrasound for high-risk pregnancy kuno kasi masyado malaki si baby so bka daw di pede i vaginal delivery, my doc wants to make sure about sa measurement ni baby sana daw mali ang computation nya pero I am still hoping na sana natural birth lang ayaw ko kasi magpa CS bka mahirapan ako lalo na pagbalik ni hubby sa work ako nalng mag isa sa bahay.

Do you often feel the menstrual cramps like feeling? kaso ako feeling ko parang parating yung regla ko...tapos it also comes with the about-to-poop-feeling.

Thank you.

Sheree

Mommy Sheree yun ang contractions. I had an early contractions starting on my 33 weeks nanganak nga ako when my baby is only 36 weeks. Na ospital ako nung 33 weeks ako kasi sabi ng doctor ko nag lalabor na raw ako at 3 cm dilated na ako so binigyan nila ako ng steroid for the lung of baby to develop and tsaka binigyan ako ng medicine to stop the contraction ayon di naka labas si baby.
Mommy Sheree malapit kanang manganak anytime soon. Good Luck sayo! you can do it. God Bless you and your Baby
What are you having?

Mommy Sweet-Wifey,

Musta na si baby mo?

We will be having a baby boy.....marami-rami ata baby boy dito.

Nung ikaw ba dati may pink discharge ka? tapos it lasted a day ba? kasi yung akin nawala agad bka mali na naman ako.

Sheree

you should call your OB about that. baka nagd-dilate na cervix mo. smile.gif

Gulp! mukhang nalalapit na talaga akong mangitlog hehe biggrin.gif

Hello sa inyong lahat! I hope everything is well smile.gif Hindi ako mashado makapagback read because of my connection.

if those cramps get stronger and more frequent over time with some low back pains accompanying it, you may be. if nawala, hindi. I get those too, at times; pinapahinga ko lang. there are times na sunod-sunod yung braxton-hicks ko, about 4 every 5 mins. during those times, nagbibilang ako at nag-aabang, di naman na tutuloy. i had these, too when I was having alec and i did the same thing. somehow i dont feel them when i am moving around.

At Sam's, Huggies is cheaper than Pampers, so baka yung Huggies ang kunin namin. Baligatad sa Pinas...mas mura Pampers sa Huggies. Tested ko naman na both, and both are very good.

God bless u all

Hopefully, you got an aisle seat so that you can get up and walk around from time to time during the long flight (which you will need to do)

bmtrrbt (did i get it right??? biggrin.gif ) - i intend to use the kimono-style shirts I got at least habang humihilom pa yung umbilical stump ni Maizy. Tapossusuotan ko ng sleeper, or if long-sleeved kimono gamit nya, pajamas. I have a few Carters ones that aren't exactly kimono, but button-down shirts. Onesies are a wonderful thing, as i discovered with my first-born...easier to change nappies kahit tulog.

My next investment...diapers smile.gif Will start getting them a little at a time, perhaps in the next couple of weeks. And a pack of those flat-fold cloth diapers/lampin to add to the ones my mother sent me (somehow, alam ko mga 2 dozen yung ginamit ko kay alec...7 lang yung nakita at ipinadala).

Naku...you're 38 w and 2 days na...

Have you noticed any pinkish discharge yet? The way you describe it, parang you may be in early labor already. Too early to go to the hospital, unless you feel uncomfortable staying at home for a few hours. You may want to start noting how long each crampy/about-to-poop feeling lasts and if it intensifies. It's a saturday and nobody will be at the doc's clinic. So time those cramps that you feel.

The only thing I have been feeling is crampy, but painless, starting above my bellybutton and slowly spreading downward, lasting just a couple of minutes with no regularity.

Questions:

1. I am 6 1/2 or 28 weeks now, I am waiting for my VISA on HAND next week, then I will be traveling soon
maybe NOV 12, 2009 :-)

- Anong dalhin ko sa US to get ready sa pag deliver ko sa baby ko next year?
- mga haplas haplas pwde bayan dalhin?

2. nag pa ULTZ ako last week, same parin ung position ng baby ko BREECH position.. mag ikot paba sya?
Sana, kasi i try to deliver sa NORMAL..yaw ko sana ma CS

Mag higa ako sa right side, then kung mag change ako position to left side masakit eh move.

continue naman ang vitamins ko.. - MULTI VITAMINS - B12 - CALCIUM and IRON

any advice please thanks

Also, dala nung mga lampin...the gauze type; they make good burp cloths or pang-sapin sa kung saan. A pack of 12 of those here costs a minimum of $10.94, so mas mura pag dyan ka bumili. The burp cloths they have here are pretty expensive, too. Otherwise, the other clothes/diapers you can just get here.

Continue your vitamins. Your baby is still small enough to keep turning. In the next month, he will turn to head-down position.

BTW...you may want to ask somebody to help you with your baggage. Remember...di ka pwede magbuhat.

Mga mommies na Cesarian Section I have a question:

Gumagamit ba kayo nang binder?
Sabi kasi nang kaibigan ko sa pinas eh mabuti daw nada binder..
I just recall but I am not really sure nag mention yung doctor sa akin about binder but hindi ko talaga matandaan if " to use the binder or not"
Give let me know.

Mommy Van tongue.gif

Binder...hmm...

Girdle actually ginamit ko noon but again, my incision from below my navel to near the pubic area and not side-to-side like yours. The sutures used to sew up the different layers under the skin and the uterus are different and are strong enough to hold everything inside togetehr. Hirap lang pag naka-binder, the skin incision won't heal as quick kasi natatakpan ng binder.

Dont give up feeding Baby; if your incision hurts, use the football hold. Remember, the more your breastfeed, the more milk you'll produce. Drink plenty of fluids, too. Whatever pain reliever your doc gave you should be safe enough for you to take and still breastfeed.

Oh...do check your incisional site for any redness or discharge - tell your doc right away..

hello everyone! this is zen (zenden)

just wanted to show my matthew's first pic, before we left the hospital.

mag-4 weeks na sya this friday...

cs din ako katulad ng marami because of my height and flat pelvis

anyway, good luck and god bless to all mommies due this month!

hi,

congrats sayo...cute ng baby mo.

just wanna ask anong connection ng height sa cs delivery and flat pelvis too?

Well, it's not so much about height. The first delivery I did when I started my practice was a 4-ft mom in her 2nd pregnancy and she delivered normally to a breech ("suhi")- presenting baby girl who weighed nearly 8 lbs. couldn't rush her to the OR kasi lumabas na yung isang paa.

It's more about the size of the pelvic outlet. There are (if I remember right) about 4 types of pelvises. A flat pelvis is a platypeloid one (again, if i remember right). The antero-posterior, or front-to-back diameter is short although the side-to-side diameter is wide or normal. The outlet of this kind of pelvis may be too small for the baby's largest presenting part (i.e. the head) to go through, resulting in a failure of descent. This warrants a CS delivery. An OB may be able to determine whether or not the outlet is adequate enough through the IE (internal exam), although most will still opt to try to deliver normally (trial of labor). I had a CS due to emergent indications and baby did not descend. My OB then did tell me that I can still try to deliver normally this time, but she also said that it may most likely result in another CS due to a slightly small outlet. My present OB has scheduled me for a repeat CS kasi most probably daw na mas malaki itong baby than my daughter was (she was 8.2 lbs).

Hannah Grace...very nice..."Grace" is always a nice name biggrin.gif

Sabi ni pink, create an acct with photobucket then post pics from there to here.

Had a CS back in the RP...the traditional CS with the incision going down from near my bellybutton. The uterine incision was from left to right like yours, though (Low Transverse). So you are more fortunate kasi "bikini" incision ang sa 'yo. Healing would be faster with less discomfort. Mine, i had to wear a binder of some sort (read: girdle panties) to help support the incisional site and getting up, sneezing, and coughing was really, really hard. Took almost 2 weeks to heal. So, I am looking forward to this next CS knowing that it won't be as overbearing as the former one smile.gif

BTW, na-CS ako as emergency because the baby's heartbeat was slowing down with each contraction and she would not descend. Only dilated to 5cm. Labored only about 13 hours. Turned out she had a double cord coil around her neck.

I don't recall using that much diapers with Alec...especially with wetness indicators on the diaper which helped a lot. You don't need to change baby after every wee-wee, but you do need to check if basang-basa na yung diaper. Pampers i think holds like 6 wee-wee's, but like i said, do check it. In place of using wipes, I had used clean water (cooled boiled water) in a clean container and cotton pads (like the ones used to remove make-up, para walang fibers na maiwan). Worked very well for me...of course, Alec is a girl...but I remember using those with my nephew, too. The only time Alec ever had diaper rash was when she was about 4 months old and was teething --- nag-LBM sya. I used cloth diapers with her as it was more breathable, but it did not work well for me. Do have Desitin with zinc around....very, very good for diaper rash.

My back pain is ruining my day.... mad.gif

Thanks Pink and Sweety-Wifey biggrin.gif

Very glad that I am pregnant, paranoid din dahil di pa ako na check nang doctor hanggang ngayon kahit nurse WALA crying.gif (lumipat kasi kami dito sa may bukid nang Massachusetts ) dahil nga daw di nila ako titignan until I get 8 weeks? depressed and stress akong subra, kaya balik Indianapolis,Indiana kami nang hubby ko next week.

Pink.. Where are in Indiana?

First of all, congratulations!

Go ahead and schedule a pre-natal. I'm sure by the time they schedule you for one, you'll be 8 weeks or so already. I think i was that far along when I had my first check-up. Meanwhile, eat healthy, start pre-natal vitamins, take plenty of fluids. Small frequent feeds to minimize your morning sickness.

Note the first day of your last menstrual period. Then count the total days since that day to the present date, and divide by 7. That how you'll know how many weeks you are now. For your due date, subtract 3 months from your last mense then add 7 days. The result would be a rough estimate of your due date...plus/minus 2 weeks smile.gif

Mommies I've got an update:

I labor last october 28, 2009 at 12:55 am.
36 weeks and 2 days lang si Baby but healthy siya Thank God.
I had the C-section. Nagpapa breast feed din ako. Kaya lang masakit pa ang incision ko but I am doing the best I can para sa Baby.

I am welcoming my self sa THE WORLD OF NEVER ENDING CAHNGING OF DIAPER.
Bukas pa kami makakauwi. We are still in the hospital.

Hey...CONGRATULATIONS!!! How's the little one? Don't worry...the diapers will end. I'd rather welcome you to the world of (hopefully) never-ending patience and understanding smile.gif And the never-ending advices and worries, too! But it's all worth the time...really good.gif

Why the CS? Big baby? Go ahead and keep trying to breastfeed. Breastfeeding stimualtes the production of oxytocin which will help your uterus contract and should thus help with stopping the still-present minimal bleeding.

Enjoy motherhood! star_smile.gif

Riza - 15 lbs. na si baby ngayon and he's 3 1/2 months old. Around 3 weeks ago napansin namin that most of the time that we feed him he chew the nipple of his bottle and he drools a lot, his gum seems puffy and he suddenly wakes up in the middle of the night screaming like he's in pain. On sunday we saw a tooth coming out and today there are 2 more. awang-awa talaga ako pag umiiyak sya. right now, we just give him tylenol or orajel for baby.

If you have any suggestion(s) of how to soothe the teething pain is greatly appreciated.

Orajel should be good. And a teether. Should start on cereals soon...ask your pedia.

Your carpal-tunnel will go away after a few more days. Ask your doc about pain-relievers that you can take even if breastfeeding.

My 2-hour post-meal levels have been fine so far. Do I go completely sugar-free? Not! headbonk.gif Testing again in about 20 mins. My back pain has returned tonight...is frustrating, really. At least the laundry isn't so wrinkled... whistling.gif

I would like to say that my stubborness is inherent...like most docs laughing.gif Am still forbidden from going down to the basement to do the laundry, though. My sugar has been fine, a couple of elevations that I would presume to be due to inadequate fluids, but on the average is normal smile.gif No, I have not given up my occasional Snickers bar nor my mocha mudslide ice cream headbonk.gif

Carpal-tunnel does occur in the PHils...am a living witness to that. My brother diagnosed me all the way from Singapore on my symptoms alone. The pain did not disappear till about a couple of weeks post-partum.

Evelyn - oo nga, kamo mag-aral na lang sya...although being a part-time model ain't bad, too! wink.gif BTW, do you apply alcohol to the pusod? It hastens drying of the stump. My mother would bathe Alec...avoiding the stump, of course, then apply alcohol to it.

ting - I think kaya nya tinatapon kasi she is taking Zyrtec. But otherwise, if she isn't on any drugs, it's okay to breastfeed.

Am excited to get the nursery all set up smile.gif

Did my 3-hour glucose test. 4 needlesticks later, I was ravenous...had not had anything (save for about 5 glasses of water after taking that sweet drink) for about 14 hours crying.gif I received a call the next day and I was told that I had wierd results. My fasting was about 95mg/dl, my first hour was 145mg/dl (Normal), but my 2nd hour shot up to 182mg/dl (High) then my 3rd hour was down to 126mg/dl (Normal). So what happens next? They are having me test my glucose 4 times daily for at least a week (on my insistence....they wanted me to test for a whole month!) to see how my body handles glucose loads on a daily basis. Ordered a glucometer at the pharmacy plus the test strips. Insurance only would cover the test strips and lancets, but not the machine, which was fine with us. A 50-pc box of test strips was like $65. We declined the lancets as we have access to those, and thankfully the machine was on a mark-down sale from $74.95 to $19.95. So...I've started today, stidking myself and taking my blood sugar first thing in the morning then 2 hours after every meal. If all goes well, I can have my usual diet/cravings. If not, strict diet. If still bad, drug therapy. Does not stop me from having my occasional ice-cream and sugar-free champorado no0pb.gif

Effects of continuously elevated blood sugar on the baby: baby may be macrosomic (big), hypoglycemic and hence hyporesponsive to stimuli at birth. Have not observd that with Maizy...she remains ever-so-kulit, kicking, pushing and elbowing her way around my tummy.

Oh...had an episode of really bad nearly-sciatica-like pain on my right hip down to my knee last night, I just had to lay down on my left side with my right leg flexed a bit. Hubby was sweet enough to lay down beside me and massage my hip and thigh which was somehow soothing. luv.gif He has forbidden me to go down to the basement to do the laundry, saying he'd do it himself (and he is working today and over the weekend too). I don't really know which is worse...the carpal-tunnel syndrome I had when I was having Alec, or this bad back pains with Maizy unsure.gif

Visited the birthing center last Wednesday. Very nice set-up and very secure...babies do get kidnapped while in the hospital unsure.gif I think the only place with a similar birthing set-up in the Phils is at the Asian Hospital, and they only started that a few years ago. Now I really can't wait...just about 9 weeks more to go star_smile.gif

Riza...in-add na kita sa friendster. I don't really go there so much, though...I spend more time in Facebook biggrin.gif

Well, I want to clean the clothes the moment I get them. Then again shortly before birth para fresh...after being in storage for a few months. And baby's skin is a lot more thinner and much more delicate and sensitive than our skin...certain chemicals in ordinary laundry soap can harm baby's skin. When she is a little older, I'd use regular laundry soap for her clothes.

Lol...di bale..investment for Baby smile.gif Tsaka di naman ganun kadami ilalagay mo pag naglaba ng mga damit nya good.gif I got a plant-based organic eck laundry soap at meijers that uses about an ounce for a heavy load...27 big loads for $6 something, used only half of the cap for a load of Maizy's clothes. I washed them as soon as we got them and will wash them again probably a couple days before my scheduled surgery, and get them in her changing table/dresser. Same goes for her bedding. All of these are now freshly washed and in sealed plastic bags, along with the bibs, hats, socks, etc.

You may want to get your baby boy a winter bunting suit for the wintry weather we are about to face or a cozy cover for his carseat. also some sleepers to dress him in or if you are using long-sleeved onesies, perhaps some pants with feet? Am going to be dressing Maizy in a short sleeve onesie underneath a sleeper suit to keep her warm. Am bringing a Swaddle cloth as well. And a change of clothes for yourself...wag naman robe lang and undies ang suot mo paglabas biggrin.gif I have not prepared any bag yet...saka na. I remember I had Alec's bag prepared about a week or so before my due date...and put my things in a few days later pa. Bring a book or something...maiinip ka during the first few hours of labor...parang menstrual cramps sa umpisa. Bring some socks to keep your feet warm, alo is you are going to be walking the hospital corridors. Some snacks...not for you but for your hubby...di ka pwede kumain. If (hopefully not) ma-cs ka, bring some mouthwash para kung halimbawa ma-sedate ka, at least fresh breath ka biggrin.gif. Some small change for the vending machines....again, not for you. Took my rosary with me, too when I went into labor smile.gif The hospital may have a breast pump for rent, but you may want to bring your own. Of course, don't forget baby's carseat or di kayo pauuwiin biggrin.gif

Am excited to start fixing up the nursery this week smile.gif I want to put some wall borders...sana pumayag si hubby. Got a 3-hour glucose test Tuesday and a tour of the birthing center Wednesday. Hopefully my sugar is normal, so I can enjoy my champorado breakfasts whistling.gif

Physiologic jaundice occurs on day 3 and should start disappearing by day 5 (if i recall right). Is important na paarawin ang bata (stripped down to nappies, of course) with the early morning sunshine; the light will break down the bilirubin pigment (result of breaking down excess red blood cells) in the skin. Not sure how I am going to do that here though...we have a freeze advisory as early as now unsure.gif Blood incompatibility and neonatal sepsis (infection) can cause a much earlier appearance of the jaundice.

Well...called the doc's office about my lab results. As expected, I am anemic (learned this from my first bloodwork pa and did not get a recommendation for iron-containing vits). Learned that my glucose result was high...could be from a number of things, including stress over the last few weeks. Discussed the results with the dietician, told them that I had a 2-hour post-prandial glucose test in my first pregnancy after having a high fasting blood glucose; the 2-hour one was normal. So, I am scheduled for a 3-hour test this Tuesday. I had my doubts with the one-hour glucose test as I was over-fasted and stressed and i had a light breakfast 5 hours prior. This time, i will be fully fasted and (hopefully) unstressed. HOnestly...I do not favor veggies blush.gif Fruits, I've no problem. We'll see then...

Hello to all mommies here and welcome sa mga bagong nag join dito sa forum:)

I'm gone for 3 days dito sa forum kasi I already gave birth last sunday around 8:57 pm. Hindi ko lubos inakala na sobrang hirap pala but everything is worth when I finally saw our baby boy. Saturday around 1:00 am nagising na lang ako dahil parang feeling ko basang-basa ako..tapos when I check di lang pala talaga feeling yon kundi totoo..I thought that my water broke pero sabi ko baka di naman kasi I don't feel anything at all na manganganak na nako...so I changed and I go back to bed...after 20 minutes yon na naman nangyari so I woke up my husband and I told him what happened..we still thinking kung pupunta na ba kami so hospital..so we ended up calling them and sabi nila its better nga daw na punta na lang don to check me. 2 am nasa hospital na kami and true enough my water broke and I'm already 1cm dilated. Hindi na kami pina-uwi...around 7 am Sunday I'm 3 cm dilated...11 am still 3 cm..that is when I decided to get na the Petocin(tama ba spelling) para mapabilis yong contractions..after a few minutes..2 minutes na yong interval ng contractions..and sobrang sakit na...from the start I'm really wanted to have normal delivery I mean no medication included..but iba na pala pag nasa stage ka na ng labor..I decided to get pain medication at first yong sa IV lang nilalagay and medyo mild lang sya..pero after 1 hr wala ng yong bisa and that time sobrang sakit na talaga. And I can't believe myself na humingi sa kanila ng epidural..but I'm glad I did it kasi baka kung hindi di ko nailabas si Baby kasi I'm already worn out. Finally 8pm I'm already 10cm.And that time the Dr. told me that we need to get the baby out ASAP because his heartbeat is dropping down and that time I'm shaking uncontrobable. I pushed for 1hr before the Baby came out.....He is 6.6 lbs and 19.3 inches.

btw...im only 37.2 weeks and thank GOD he is healthy and OK and we are finally home now smile.gif

Wow!!! congratulations and welcome to the (actual) world of Mommies!!! smile.gif

Enjoy! smile.gif

Had my 28th week prenatal today. My fundic ht is, as expected, 28cm smile.gif Maizy is growing quite nicely and, as it is getting cramped in my tummy, she "insists" on pushing against it. Her favorite seems to be propping her head on my full bladder while pushing her feet against my ribs...ouch talaga unsure.gif I feel just fine, save for easy fatigability which, my OB found out a few hours later, was due to a low blood count. Hence, i was told to either take iron supplements or green leafy vegetables (which, unfortunately i DO NOT really enjoy...thanks to my mom not forcing it into me when i was a child biggrin.gif ). Had my glucose test today, too. Honestly, I think I was overfasted because the darned pager the clinic gave me did not work and I ended up waiting for over an hour before being called; well, actually, hubby was becoming irate and stood up to ask why it was taking too long. I had fastd for a total of 5 hours so, I guess the result would be pretty accurate. Will know in about 2 days. Meantime, I just put down a bowl of saging na saba (with its syrup) with cold milk....so yummy!!! good.gif

Going to set up the nursery soon smile.gif

shiela

I take calcium everyday . i drink milk.. wala akong na miss sa vitamins ko..
Sobrang sakit talaga.. pa check up ako 2mrw..

Mommy She,

Hehehehe
34 weeks na ako ngayon and I am still fighting for the pains.
Advice: Magpa check up ka about sa sakit ng katawan mo sabihin mo lahat sa doctor at saka mas mabuting mag pa ultra sound kana din.
Keep in touch. Are you having a baby boy or a baby girl? We are having a girl!

If your pain is at the joints (balakang, tuhod, ankles, wrists, etc), it's due to swelling and loosening of these joints in response to increased fluids in them brought about by pregnancy hormones. I had those pains with my first pregnancy on both wrists (which I absolutely hated as it interfered with work) and on my knees. My brother, an ortho surgeon, told me that was quite normal and that it would disappear soon after giving birth. Otherwise, if you cannot take the pain, some Tylenol would be good, or ask your Ob what pain reliever you can take smile.gif

BTW..congrats to Sheila for her baby boy and sweetwifey for a girly girl star_smile.gif

Is okay to miss at times although it is best to take some, as you are now supplementing for the baby. Ask your OB for another type of prenatal vits...you will need the folic acid content in them among others. Your bloatedness may be due to the iron content in them. Then again, mixed-up hormones brought about by the pregnancy can mess up your digestive system smile.gif Nothing wrong with taking Maalox or simethicone or Tums to help with that, plus small frequent non-oily feeding.

I get nosebleeds almost every day, lalo ngayon that temps dip to 35-37F in the morning. Is normal, too...blood vessels are more fragile in pregnant women, add to that the expected nasal congestion caused by expanded blood volume.
