Kelangan mo i relax sarili mo.

Salamat sis. Ganito nga talaga basta first time daming iniisip.

Hi, first welcome to the world of new mommies to be.

If you are craving for green mango..try mo yong green apple tapos sawsaw mo sa asin kasi maasim din yon. Yan din ang kinain ko before when I was craving for that green manggo.

Oo nga first time naming dalawa to pero naiintindihan niya yung dinadanas ko na madali. My husband is working offshore kasi kaya 28 days siya wala pero 14 days siyang off.

LOL...LOL...i like that..."plastic pa sa orocan" laughing.gif

Play some music...as in Ipod or mp3 para nakasaksak sa tenga mo at di mo marinig yung pagkatok ng MIL devil.gif That can help too if you can't fall asleep at night. Or read a book (with or without the music in your ear).

I guess your husband should talk to his mother about your concerns about her. Stress during pregnancy isn't good for you nor for the baby. no0pb.gif

BTW...anybody can tell me about that WIC thing? unsure.gif

Hello mga mommies... been awhile since i last visited vj...

pano naman kasi... i hatched na... hehehehe... it was early and it ended up CS... last Monday July 6, though we had a hard time picking out a name... finally PRESTON JAMES is here!

I would just like to share my experience... hay naku... July 4th pa lang i was already non stop contracting. Hay talaga, nafeel ko yung uncomfy feeling na parang manganganak na ako anytime but then again i was thinking baka false labor na naman... my contractions never stopped until finally July 6, we decided to go to the hospital... so yun nga we arrived there around 7 am. i was contracting continuously within 5 mins interval since the 4th... i was only 2.5 cm dilated... i was put on IV baka raw dehydrated lang ako... still not stopping contractions, and then they gave me my third pack of IV, still my contractions never stopped, but my dilation, never improved. Then finally they gave me options to either come back at a later time and have a natural labor or stay and they will intervene, meaning they will break my water to make the contractions strong enough and baby's head would come down further and make me dilate... but the last option, no turning back na... I asked my aunt nurse, and she said go for the latter one, anyway, baby will be safe. I was scared kasi i didn't want to have CS and that's another caution the doctor gave us if i choose the last one. I finally decided to do the latter, since anyway, my contractions are not stopping and soon i would have to go through the labor process anyway, why would i have to prolong it. My case was just a matter of not improving my dilation, ayaw lang talaga bumukas ng cervix ko, so the case is di makakalabas si baby naturally. anyway, noon time dr came and broke my water... after 2 hours, i dilated only to 4 cm... they tried increasing the medication for making the contractions stronger, by that time it was so painful, yun na yung part na you will cuss your husbands (but i never did, actually happy ako kasi my husband was there all the time and helping me breathe while on labor), i opted for epidural and ohhhh... it was heaven to me... i was sleeping thru my labor prolly from exhaustion. Some blooper though, after the dr broke my water, and they put pads on my bed, i thought i was peeing that i couldn't control... told my husband OMG, call the nurse, coz im gonna pee, and i couldn't control it and i felt that it just trickled... ok, never mind i peed already. I was so embarassed that i thought i peed my bed. When the nurse came in, she said that it was still part of my water. So mga mommies, wag magtaka if after your water broke, there's still more to come when you're in labor. By 5 pm, still my dilation never improved, stuck on 4 cm. My contractions are really strong by then, i couldn't feel it much becoz of the epidural but baby is getting stressed out already, so the dr finally decided to have a cs, for baby's safety. So at 6:30, he was born. Sa loob pa lang ng tummy, only head pa lang nakalabas, baby is already crying.. he's a healthy baby boy. Thank God.

Now, i'm still recovering from the surgery. Mejo masakit pa yung incision ko but it will get better. I got discharged last Th and baby had first dr's visit yesterday, Saturday. In the afternoon, we had baby shower. It was alot to take in but everything is doing ok. My husband is really there for me.

Congratulations! CS ain't so bad. Did the baby's head ever descend at all? My guess is baka di sya kasya kaya ka na-CS. Anyway, how are you enjoying feeding every hour? Don't worry, around 3 months of age, you'll probably be able to get abour 3-4 hours of sleep in between feedings. At least your hubby is there to help you get up to feed. Enjoy motherhood! star_smile.gif

Hello to all mom to be

I am on my 9th week of pregnancy, going on 10th week this week. I have a hard time with this first trimister stage. I have had a rough time, sometimes I feel like giving up. To me it's just hard. Morning sickness? name it and I am experiencing all of those. I always feel nausea with vomiting consistently, as in everyday. More like 4-5 times a day. As soon as something hits my stomach, I throw it all back up. I feel so terrible. I was even confined for 3 days in the hospital because of continuous vomiting. I was dehydrated and had bladder infection. It was terrible but I am fighting for it. I'm out in the hospital now and recovering. I am very sensitive on the things I smell. It makes me nauseous and throw up. I feel very lazy. All I do is lay in bed the whole day which is not healthy but I always do an effort to force myself getting up once in a while. I always have a problem with the food I'm eating. At one point I want this food and as soon as it's in front of me, I don't like it anymore. I am very emotional. I take things seriously. I hate it when somebody tells me what to do, especially my mother in law who's been a pain in the ####..lol.. Maybe she doesn't understand what I am going through. She's been there but every pregnancy is different from the other. But anyways, I had a good report on my last Doctors visit and I am trying to maintain that. Hopefully all this things I am experiencing is normal and will pass through this first trimister. I am excited to get through with my first trimister.

Hay naku...i just got out of that stage. My mother-in-law has been supportive though. Hubby brought me breakfast in bed when I was just feeling extra-terrible. Between my first and my second pre-natals, I actually lost weight as i was not eating much. Not really vomiting but really nauseaous. dinnertime was usually just me sitting at the dinnertable and watching my husband and daughter eat what i cooked as I did not want to eat anything. I would eat up my cravings though (pizza, ice cream, strawberries). I am feeling much better now but I still stay away from frying food or not eating fried food.

Don't worry...that's normal (although I was virtually morning-sickness-free in my first pregnancy). Hang in there...2 more weeks and you'll start to feel better, hopefully smile.gif

Stretch marks...another result of your body adjusting to your enlarging tummy...also associated with weight-gain. Your stomach muscles also stretch out to accomodate your growing uterus. Can't really do much about those but there are some exercises that can be done to keep your tummy tone and reduce (hopefully none) the incidence of back pain later on as your back tries to balance the heavier weight of your pregnant belly. I got stretch marks with my daughter (she was 8.2 lbs) and those are now flattening out now that preggy ulit ako smile.gif

The pag-kamot is due to the sensation of itchiness which in turn is due to the stretching star_smile.gif

Coupons...really helpful. Sayang din naman yung ma-sasave in using them. We do the grocery usually at walmart or sam's club or meijer's but I found a lot of savings too at cub foods (i can splurge on shredded cheese and yoplait). I put the coupons in my car para andyan pag kelangan.

gracey, pareho tayo, bassinet muna si baby tapos pagdating ng 2 or 3 months ay sa crib na. we have the same reason din kung bakit bassinet muna. gusto kasi namin na close si baby sa amin so incase na umiyak eh madaling puntahan dahil nasa tabi lng ng bed.

Ask ko lang, nakakareceive ba kayong ng kung ano anong coupons sa mail ninyo na hindi nyo man lang alam kung paano nila nalaman info nyo? unsure.gif nagulat kasi ako dahil pinadalhan ako last month ng Walmart ng makapal na booklet about baby stuff tapos this morning naman ay Target blink.gif

Nope. Would be nice though, being that I frequent Walmart a lot. Unless you registered at some baby site that asks for your address.

Our baby will have a separate room but for the first 2-3 months will stay in a bassinet beside our bed for easy feeding. My daughter woke me up every hour during her first month so i am expecting the same with this one. Lalo na't CS na naman ako. Will get a crib when the baby turns 3 months. We don't want to take the baby into the bed with us para di masanay...babies can get used to that pretty quick and carry that as they grow. Besides, malikot matulog si hubby.

We are having a winter baby so that he/she will need a lot of warm clothing, especially here in OH where wintertime can get harsh. We are quite practical with getting stuff too since babies grow really fast so that i stocked up with just some pieces of onesies and sleepers and some clothing from my cousin...keeps relations tighter, so says the elders.

We can't decorate the room either as we are selling the house. Maybe at the new house. For now, concentrate muna kami sa immediate na gagamitin. Am getting kinda restless as we both are looking forward to knowing whether we'll be having a boy or a girl.

How I wish na malaman na rin namin ang gender ng baby namin. I went to my doctor yesterday but she told me na September pa namin malaman if we are having a boy or a girl. I was very frustrated and very disappointed kasi I know na pwede na kasi 17 weeks and 4 na ako kahapon. crying.gif crying.gif In my next visit in August I'm 21 wweks and 4 days peru ayaw pa rin ng nya. Hay, nko gusto nko na nalilipat ng ibang doctor peru ayaw ng mother in law ko kasi sabi nya na my doctor is a really good doctor.

Princess dont be dissapointed kasi maapektuhan ang baby mo ok?
sooner or later you will know your baby's gender.
Be safe always...

Be patient. i got to know my daughter's gender when i was in my 7th month na. Ayaw talaga magpakita till then. With this one, we're hoping that he/she'll cooperate and tell us. Some of my cousins think it's a boy, so does my hubby. Felt the baby flutter a bit during the desert fight scene in the latest Transformers movie and when LSU won the NCAA baseball championship. I was about 13 weeks then and thought it was a bit early for me to feel movement, but it's been occuring ever since...maybe kasi this isn't my first pregnancy.

But just be patient, you'll have plenty of time still to get the baby's stuff together...even if you find out in your 7th month. I had my first ultrasound when I was 11 weeks, for nuchal translucency testing...which was normal, BTW (as was my blood test for congenital anomaly screening). My next UTZ will be in my 20th week. Meantime, enjoy your pregnancy star_smile.gif

Goodwill is a nice place to go to. Got a diaper genie with two rolls of liners there for under $5 smile.gif You may want to check out the Once-Upon-A-Child nearest to you, too for maternity stuff and baby items. There are a lot! some items are new (i.e. bottle brushes, baby positioners, diaper bags, strollers and carseats). They look nicer than those at goodwill. Maternity bottoms are from $6.50 to $10, i think. I plan on getting some in a week or so. Apparently, having a child the second time around makes you "look" pregnant earlier than the first pregnancy (I did not wear maternity clothing till i was in my 5th-6th month!). When I am done with them, I plan to either put them in an ad in craigslist or give/sell them back to once-upon-a-child. Will also do some "shopping" at my cousin's house in chicago next month smile.gif

Brand new onesies (the usual newborn baby clothes) are like $10 for a pack of 5 (size 0-3), Gerber brand. 4-oz Avent bottles are also like $10 per bottle. 4-oz Soothie bottles are $10 for a 3-pack. A bottle warmer is like $30. Dishwasher container for nipples, caps, bottle collars should be not more than $3 (Munchkin brand). Pampers for newborns is about $40 for a pack of 264 (at Sam's club). Blankets are about $10 apiece. Brand new crib is anywhere bet $160-900, depending on how arte you want to be. Hay, naku...mas mahal talaga. E, my daughter's brand-new crib cost less than Php3T.

Umm...what site is that? we've gone on craigslist for newborn clothing kasi it isn't really that practical to get new ones that the baby will use for only a couple of months...my daughter's newborn clothing were hand-me-downs from her cousin and I have since passed them onto another cousin. Keep in mind that babies grow very fast. I was able to get 40 pieces of newborn clothing for $10, and they are all in very good condition. All were neutral colored, mostly whites which would do very nice since we are still weeks away from knowing our baby's gender. I've also managed to get a bathtub for under $2, a diaper genie for $2, 2 3-bottle sets of Soothie bottles (these are brand-new and unopened. they say nipples of these are the same as the pacifier used in the hospital...and each pack comes with a pacifier, too!) for $6 (in-store price is $10 a pack), a portable bassinet for $25 (cradle detaches so i can bring the baby downstairs. we dont plan on getting a crib till the baby is bigger, and the bassinet can fit in our bedroom for the first 3 months), and an infant carseat for $4. Oh...we went to Once-Upon-A-Child for a $1.75 infant head support for the car seat. And a $1 microwave bottle sanitizer. All of these are in excellent condition. Yes, it is nice to get all brand-new things for the baby, but most of these will only be used for a short period of time...not really economical. I am next eyeing a $25 stroller that will fit the carseat and a new-still-in-box cherry wood changing table with drawers. We are getting stuff for the baby a little at a time so it won't be so overwhelming.

Update with my dilemma with my OB's staff:

The evening after my clinic visit, I had the on-call OB give me a call at home so I could tell him that I still had the symptoms and he asked who I had spoken to at the clinic. I told him the nurse finally let me talk to a family physician after i was adamant that I will not take "we can't give you anything because your test results are normal" for an answer, and that the family doc didn't do a thing either. The on-call OB rang the pharmacy for a prescription for me. I feel much better now. And then last monday, the clinic called to tell me what I already knew...that my urine culture revealed an infection. Duh? I wanted to tell them "I told you so. Next time pay more attention to the patient and not to the labs." So, I will be having my nuchal translucency ultrasound next week and then my 2nd pre-natal a few days after that.

A bit of a-very-proud-Mommy news:

Took our li'l girl to a top-rated school 14 miles away from home (top-rated amongst both public and private schools) this morning. She was evaluated by the school psychologist and we were told, in a meeting with the principal and asst principal, that while Alec is age-appropriate for 1st grade, she is mentally prepared for 2nd grade. Her reading level is that of the late-2nd grade/early 3rd grade level and that her over-all Math skills rate quite high. They were quite impressed with her abilities, including her being very articulate. The registration for 2nd grade was closed but it seems that Alec's skills created an opening for her. So, our li'l girl is skipping 1st grade and has been registered/enrolled for 2nd grade. Yes, we are a couple of extremely happy and proud parents right now smile.gif

Evelyn

Most of these are gently used but the owners kept them in very good condition. i took the bassinet cover off and will put it thru the washer along with the baby clothes, baby cloth books, and the soft baby toys. Not that i am scrimping on our baby, but in these times, it pays to be practical. Am gonna be doing the rounds of garage sales as well...pwedeng tawaran just like on craigslist. We did go to the stores first to find out what the prices of brand new things are so we could make a comparison or an estimate on how much to make tawad.

Evelyn

Yay! Congrats biggrin.gif kicking.gif

Salamat smile.gif Pwede nako order nong mga baby clothes online hehehe smile.gif

Evelyn

haha! oo nga pwedeng pwede na biggrin.gif

Comfy pag may privacy.

Gracey, our closing date will be on the 14th. we are moving our stuff little by little na. Lapit lang kasi yung house sa work ng asawa ko. so every pasok nya pinupuno nya yung car tas unload nya after work. tipid sa gas pagdating ng lipatan. we used VA pala. wala kasing pangdown. tas yung sa closing closts sagot ng seller yung halos kabuuan nun ($4k).

about the bumbo seat, alam ko sa target meron din sila. sa ngaun walang plan na sundan si Jil. kung ako tatanungin, tama na ung 1. pero malay natin masundan. nagtabi lang ako ng konting damit baka sakali. right now sa country kami. ung house na nakuha namin sa mismong town. lapit sa park at school, malalakad. tas 2 blocks away sa office ni hubby.

btw, almost 10pm na ng ihatid dito si Jil kanina. kakatulog lang nya. midnight na. late kung matulog sya sa gabi. si hubby tulog na din. archery season will start tomorrow. eh passion nya, maghunt. nag-leave sya sa work for that. wacko.gif

We put an offer in about a week ago that was accepted --- seller will pay closing costs plus a year's home warranty --- then had an inspector go thru the house to make sure all is ok. (you did do this, too, i hope) Only major problem found was the electrical and we sent the inspector's report over to the owner thru his realtor along with a note asking them to cover the expenses of upgrading the electricals. Still waiting for word from them. Ryan used his VA for this house and is still paying it off so that we are using an FHA with the new one. Actually we can use the VA again even with a current one but the home has to be worth $140T or higher, which entails a monthly mortgage of over $1T...and which we have absolutely NO intention of doing (well, not right now; perhaps when I am done with my training smile.gif ). We've found a buyer for this house but we are investigating the rent-to-own (with loan assumption) as well. With a rent-to-own kasi, hubby'credit won't take a hit (plus, we don't need to worry about paying the realtor biggrin.gif ) This house is being sold as a short sale so that it is less than what is was obtained on a loan, and will take some toll on our credit. So, hopefully all goes as we had planned...just as everything has so far innocent.gif Also, sana payagan kami maglipat habang papalapit yung closing time para makapag repaint (color in the kids' rooms just isn't...childlike) and change the kitchen flooring (current flooring is carpet which I find odd in a kitchen).

We live in the suburbs right now and alec's school is a 30-min drive. the new house in more into the suburbs...a lot more suburban ( there is a cornfield a block away) but is a nice, quiet community that is still developing (a lot of housing going up and sells quite quick). There is a park that we can walk to and a lot more kids around. The drive to the school will only be 10 mins. And no "boomboxes-on-wheels",t oo! Nice clean air for the kids to breathe in. Our dream location, so to speak.

Pareho pala halos hubbies natin. Mine spent a lot of time going fishing with his grandad and hunting with his late father...he inherited all of the firearms, two of which are with him in this house (away from prying hands, of course). Sya na ang magpapalit ng flooring kung sakali...mahal kasi ang labor if we hire somebody to do it.

Mmm...i found some "turon" at the int'l market...cooked some for a nice snack on this cold afternoon. And I got some fruit salad in the ref, too! biggrin.gif I swear, babagsak ako sa glucose test ko... whistling.gif

about sa pagkarga, ako rin naiinis pag nakikita kung paano sila magkarga ng baby dito...kasi every morning i always watch 2 channels na about giving birth...the other channel is maganda kasi they really show the cs delivery and normal delivery...yung paghiwa sa tyan medyo nakakatakot tingnan kaso nakakatuwa rin. sa pinas kasi sobrang maingat talaga when it comes to baby lalo na pag infant...dito parang kumakarga lang ng aso hehehehe.

Believe me...ganun din sa atin. Babies seem to be very fragile, like mababali buto nila, but it isn't so. unlike adults, their joints aren't really fused yet, very flexible, lalo pag bagong panganak. Baby gets turned over, too, supported by just a hand when the doc examines the spine. As long as they are supported well, they'll be ok. good.gif I had a nephew whom I had taken care of while still a baby long before I had Alec, so that when Alec came I was quite confident in handling her.

Hello sa lahat. Thanks Riza, bmtrrbt, ting, pink and doc gracey.

About the Bumbo seat, we bought it in Walmart for $35. Wala kaming nakitang tray. I checked it online, the tray costs $10. We saw one that is $15 and the s&h is $12 tapos wait mo pa for delivery so we decided to purchase na lang dito. So far Jilian likes sitting in her Bumbo seat. smile.gif

Til now di pa binabalik, 8:20pm na.

Tago ko baka sakaling masundan pa eh. wacko.gif I started packing things up. We're moving na kasi. We bought a small house in town. Don't get me wrong. They are so nice to us and I love them pero mas gusto ko ng malayo ng konti sa kanila. Sa likod lang kasi namin sila. At sa kanila yung place na niri-rent namin ngaun. Finally, na-convince ko asawa ko na humiwalay.

Yung isang friend kong pinay dito, nanganak na kanina, CS din, a girl. 2nd child nya. we will visit her tomorrow siguro. I'm giving away some of Jil's clothes na naliitan na nya. Kahapon pala, a friend of ours gave a bag full of baby toys.

I saw one on craigslist, a purple one for $10. Another seat with the tray was $25. Will get it from there na lang. NOt really sure na susundan pa namin si Maizy...age is catching up with me. blush.gif

Lamig na rin dito sa OH. Umulan magdamag kagabi till morning. Yesterday, temps were down to 35F, 38F nung ihatid ko si Alec sa school. Tonight, nasa 53F at di magbabago masyado till tomorrow. So far, di pa nagsisisipon si Alec. She will be scheduled for a flu shot this month; pati ako.

We gave and offer na and they have accepted. We asked for an additional, though, for them to update all the electricals in the house. Currently waiting for an update from our realtor. If all goes well, baka mid-November kami makalipat. Sana nga...I like the new neighborhood, compared to where we are now...mas maraming bata na pwedeng kalaro ni Alec. Plus, the backyard is huge smile.gif And is significantly nearer to the school. Yeah, living with in-laws can be....confining/smothering at times innocent.gif

Ask your pedia if you can try a bit of cereal already. Ako kasi, I just started Alec on my own, patikim-tikim lang muna.

Riza - Bumbo chair... http://www.toysrus.c...oductId=3433616 I included that in my registry although I can get one for about $10 on craigslist, about $20 kung kasama yung Bumbo tray. The chair can hold up the baby's body up to her back, i believe. Or a Boppy pillow to elevate her at least...useful for tummy time, too.

Eve - I need to roll over to one side before getting out of bed. When I shift sides in the middle of the night, kelangan half-awake para mag-palit ng pwesto. I've gained nearly 20 lbs already in 6.5 months. Hirap mag-punas ng legs sa shower and yes, putting lotion and trimming toenails.

I washed all of Maizy's clothing/booties/hats/bibs/blankets using an organic plant-based laundry liquid from Meijer's. You may want to use Dreft for sensitive skin or that Arm and Hammer brand formulated for sensitive/baby's skin. Will wash again probably a few days before I deliver smile.gif

So, dalawang brand ng formula gamit ninyo?

Pinag tummy time mo ba si Jilian everyday?

Hi Riza.

Paminsan minsan ko lang syang pinagta tummy time. Umiiyak sya agad pag pinahiga mo sya sa tummy nya. Pero in fairness nabubuhat na nya head nya. Nakakatuwa. Nabubuhat ko na sya using one hand only.

Enfamil pinapagamit ng lola nya sa kanya. Ilang big cans binili nila.

Baby formula can make the baby constipated...more protein in the diet = constipation. Ever given your child a few sips of water? that can help.

Note on pacifiers...while they are good in soothing a crying baby, they can also cause improper tooth growth later on. so if the child doesn't want it, don't force it. My daughter only used one sparingly and totally refused it by the time she was 2 months old. Same goes for keeping the baby on a bottle for long. Hopefully by the time your child is a year old, she'd be off the bottle already.

Babies will sleep an average of 18-20 hours a day in the first few weeks. Habang palaki sila ng palaki, their sleeping hours shorten so that they are awake longer in the daytime and sleep continuously about 4-5 hours at night...which should be a respite for you.

Solid food...ask your pedia. the traditional is 4 months although I had tried my daughter on baby cereal at 3.5months. At least 1-2 feeds a day, pa-konti-konti lang.

These are my two cents' worth...from experience smile.gif

Riza - Oo, may Babies R Us na malapit dito, next to the pet grooming center we bring our dog to. Evie is sooo cute, parang ang laki-laki na nya.

Ruby - Congratulations on yet another bouncing baby boy! Haay, precious commodity talaga mga baby girls dito...

Pre-eclampsia is one for of pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), characterized by swelling, elevated blood pressure and passing out protein in the urine. Meds like apresoline/hydralazine are usually given in the attempt to control the hypertension. If not, some magnesium sulfate is also used. If BP is still not controlled then an emergency CS is usually done. Unattended hypertension in pregnancy can lead to Eclampsia which is all of the above associated with seizures. An absolute emergency. Hypertension affects the fetus such that the constricetd blood vessels reduces the bloodflow (and in effect, the oxygen supply) to the fetus. Insome cases, if a woman has pre-eclampsia in during pregnancy, there is the possibility of having it again in the next pregnancy. In still other cases, the woman remains hypertensive post-partum.

Sweetpink - are you making sure baby latches on properly? also, breastfed babies feed more often than bottlefed ones, with a shorter interval between feedings. Breastmilk kasi is more easily digestible than formula. BTW...what a handsome boy smile.gif

Evelyn

Lol...sorry to sound so morbid. O, sige na...repeat CS ako. That is definite. SAbi kasi ng doc, if my all-Pinoy daughter was already 8lbs and 2 oz. when she was born, the possibility of Maizy being bigger is almost certain. So definite CS talaga. Will know the final sched by November's end.

I did develop joint pains on my wrists and knee in my last pregnancy. My brother (an ortho surgeon) says that that is normal due to extra fluids collecting around joint spaces (again, triggered my pregnancy hormones) causing the swelling. Like we don't have enough extra fluids already mad.gif But that should resolve within a few days to a couple weeks after delivery. good.gif
Fall is officially here...autumn equinox, the change of season...falls on my bday too! smile.gif

Hmm...my daughter was delivered via CS so that bilog na bilog ulo nya pag labas. But I did turn her head from side to side para di mag-flat. No pillows, lampin lang pang-sapin sa ulo nya. I had also used a "sleep-positioner" (basically rolled blankets...not those "sausage" pillows).

Hello,
Kumusta kayo lahat?

May Mexican friend kasi ako yun ang ginamit nya (advised by her Doctor) kasi maliit talaga yung nipples nya and it worked talaga.I wonder if Riza tried breast shells also?

To all the mommies, sa mga buntis, take care palagi. star_smile.gif

Aciete de manzanilla (i believe it's chamomile oil)! Worked wonders for my daughter yes.gif Then lay her tummy down across your lap or have her over your shoulder, arms over your shoulder, too, till she burps.

Good for you...isn't so cold at the end of year. Dito, winter can be harsh. Ngayon palang, temps drop to about 12C in the morning when I bring my li'l girl to school. Fall officially starts next week and the weather is changing. Maizy will have to be bundled up, especially when I resume driving to the school. dito mainit pa rin kaya nga di ko pa rin mafeel na nasa usa na ako kasi walang snow, winter and fall...but its okay di rin kasi ako sanay sa lamig. so baby will be with you everytime you bring your girl to the school? wow busy mom ha.

wow lahat new...hehehehe masaya talaga pag mga first time and new.

Yup. pwera pag day-off si hubby; he can look after her while I'm gone. But Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays she will be all bundled up in her carseat and accompany Mommy on the drive to drop Ate off at school. No choice...nobody to leave her with. Hubby had a remote start installed in the car so that I can start the car and heat it up from inside the house at least 15 mins before we have to leave smile.gif

Can't believe I've only to wait about 99 days before Maizy arrives smile.gif

actually, wala pang 20 pieces of clothes yung nabibili namin...may 3 onesies, 3 pairs of matching shorts and pants na pang get up...and 3 pangtulog, and nakalimutan ko na...ganun ka pihikan ang hubby ko sa pagpili ng damit...yung iba dun pinilit ko ng ipabili kasi ayaw nya ang design pero gusto ko kasing bilhin. so far yun pa lang ang gamit meron kami for our baby...kasi everytime na may gusto syang bilhin like the car seat sinasabi ko malayo pa wag muna...and ganun din sya...so baka december na ata kami mamimili...hehehehehe...walang biro.

about sa pag kick...kagabi natulog kami ng hubby ko mga 2am na and my baby was kicking so much kasi nagpatugtog hubby ko ng songs sa mp3 nya...or sometimes when i am not in a good mood and im crying then he kick so much parang sinasabi nya sa akin stop crying mommy or else sisipain kita ng left ang right...kaya yun napapastop ako ng iyak...but most of the time i feel him moving than kicking.

God bless us all.

Lol...si hubby, when we learned it was going to be a girl, ayun...he began scouring craigslist for baby girl clothing and came up with about 100 pcs of assorted sized clothes/bibs/hats/a few socks/winter bunting/sleeping gowns. That was on top of the 3 3-pack pants and 3 3-pack onesies that we got at babies r us. All are in excellent condition. Then we got some clothing from his workmate who was wanting to get rid of her baby girl's stuff. We had gone to a store which offered 50% off on all items last Labor Day and we told ourselves that we wouldn't be getting anymore clothing. Fine. But in about 30 mins, I looked back at him (he had the cart) and I saw that the card was nearly half-full with baby girl clothes (assorted sizes) blink.gif . He just shrugged his shoulders and I just shook my head in disbelief. Haay...excited ba? Then, may padala pa MIL ko. This is his first child, after all. We also started getting bottles and bottle accessories (warmer, dishwasher holder, drying rack, bottle brush). The car seat we got already kasi mag-eexpire na yung coupon biggrin.gif. So, we are good to go. Maizy has enough clothes to last a year innocent.gif . All that is left are toiletries and diapers, i believe. Meanwhile, we are awaiting response on an offer we put on a house...we may move in the next month or so and will be sooo busy by then. Then there's my daughter's Christmas program in school smile.gif Just about 14 weeks to go...maybe less. Gusto kasi ng OB 38-39 weeks when she does the CS.

Well, babies lose a lot more body heat than adults do; they are not able to regulate their body temperature well yet and are hence more susceptible to temperature changes than adults are. Hence, the baby hats, swaddling blankets, etc. Especially during the cold season.

Evelyn...I am ok. Eto, just had my 6 month pre-natal today and ayun na nga ba sinasabi ko...am scheduled for a glucose test on my next visit. Ugh...another stick up my arm...! Maizy was moving around the entire time....no, I would say she was tumbling around the entire time. She is growing nicely and I was told that there would be no need for another ultrasound in the near future unless her growth seems hampered. Am complaining just about dizziness, occasional headaches and some bouts of heartburn (but sige pa rin with the caffeine-free, sugar-free sodas headbonk.gif ). Doc wanted to give me some Zantac but I told her that ordinary Maalox still works for me. Advised to call them right away if all those symptoms still continue. Also complaining of getting my kidneys and bladder pummelled by what seems to be a dozen feet and fists blink.gif . For now, I am fine...just finished half a glass of milk --- plus 7 Oreo cookies biggrin.gif We also discussed my impending repeat CS scheduled on my 39th week. She was wanting to see if we could do a VBAC but upon reading the operative report from my last delivery, she decided (although hubby and I already did) that a CS was the way to go, especially after seeing that my li'l girl weighed 8 lbs 2 oz (3,685 grams) at birth. She said that subsequent babies are usually larger if not just as large, and considering that Maizy has Caucasian blood, that is an almost definite possibility.

Fall is here, chilly mornings and warm afternoons, although cooler than last week's afternoon. Is getting more difficult to move around...and to think that we may be moving to a new home in a month or so. Am enjoying the weather though. Am going to go to Kidz Again tomorrow to find a mattress for the baby's crib smile.gif

Oh..we bought an infant car seat that can be paired with a stroller. Not the travel system like Evelyn got. We got a stroller na kasi and we just got an infant seat that can go in it. You may use a convertible (3-in-1) car seat if you wish. Kami we opted for that para from house to car or car to house, madaling bitbitin. Plus, the infant carrier seat can fit on grocery carts too smile.gif. Once baby hits 20 lbs, then we'll go ahead and purchase a "stay-in-car" carseat. Don't get a second-hand one unless 1. you know the owner and the history of the car seat, 2. the never-been-in-an-accident car seat is unexpired (expiration date is usually 6 years after manufacture date which you will see at the bottom of the seat). Still better to get a brand new one, I believe..is for your child'safety anyway which is absolutely priceless. Evenflo is the cheapest brand...even with travel systems (car seat and stroller combo).

my hubby wants to buy the car seat 3 in 1 today at sam's club it cost i guess 100 dollars pero sabi ko wag muna kasi malayo pa naman...and a stroller with infant car seat or carrier...we wont go for second hand because my hubby doesnt want it too...meron nga akong nakita sa craigslist na tag 25 cents lang na damit ayaw nya namang puntahan...

oras-oras ba sumisipa baby ninyo? kasi baby ko there are times lagi sipa ng sipa but there are times di masyadong sumisipa...

We bought our car seat at Baby Depot at 10% off. I understand his wariness about going to other people's houses to get infant clothing. Try Once Upon A Child. Keep in mind to get clothing a size bigger than usual...babies grow REALLY quick.

Maizy kicks almost all the time. Feeling ko mas madami syang waking hours kesa sleeping hours. But remember, babies aren't all alike. Some are really ready-to-go active like Maizy is, and some just prefer to take it easy. Like us, they have their "up" days and "down" days, too smile.gif. As long as there is a constancy in movement, everything should be fine. good.gif
