K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	K1 VISA_CO SPONSORSHIP NOT ACCEPTED IN MANILA EMBASSY??	my fiancee and i have been engage for almost a year now, we've been together for 1 year and a half,never been together physically, but we are always in each others heart everytime, what we feel for each other is true love,you know,lovemoves inmysterious ways, but there is one problem, we are thousands of miles away from each other he is in san bernardino california while im here in philippines, he want to come here to the philippines to get to know me better and meet my family and his family too (he's half american half filipino, he grew up in US thats way he didnt get the chance to meet his family here, his mom and my aunt are close friends they are the ones who introduces us to each other)but unfortunately due to financial situation in US right now, it is extremely hard for him to come here and he is still in college, so he thought he'll just petition me via k1 visa and get married in US instead, well if that will get approved i wont be a public charge of the US goverment, my fiancee might be still in college but he does have a part time job although not permanent, im a registered nurse-midwife here in philippines and my aunt and his mom works in a nursing home and hospital so i know they'll hepl me get a stable job, but there is another problem again, my fiancee does not financially meet the minimum requirements plus we've never been together physically so there is a huge chance that the k1 visa will get declined, we thought since my aunt (my father's sis) is in lomalinda california, she can be my co sponsor, but some says here in the internet that manila embassy dont accept co sponsor , what are we goin to do now? is there any way that they will somehow consider that the co-sponsor is my own aunt and im pretty sure she wont just let me be a public charge, she is even helped me thru college..sometimes i felt so hopeless, there is just so many obstacles for us to be together, its so hard not been able to be with ther person you truly love, the distance is killing me..we need your advices so much Hi there, Im Maricel from Manila Philippines undergoing thru the K1 VISA...with regards to your concern, I dont think co-sponsor is a problem, as far as I know Co-sponsor is allowed. The only thing that would decline the K1 visa is the thing that you havent meet yet your fiancee in person. Phone bills, chats and emails are proof of relationsip but its not really enough if you dont have any pictures together. Thats what theyr looking for. To prepare the documents needed for the K1 visa is hard, but you have to do it and make sure that you have all the required documents not to waste money and time. If your financially stable and he cant afford at this time to meet you, then why not see me in other countries, I mean you and your fiancee could meet half way. I have done this, im a medical technologist working here in Manila. It's just that my fiance and I never had any problems in the past, but ever since we started filing for this visa, i feel like our relationship has been strained. i love him so much though, and i'm scared that in the process...well...you know. just want to know if i'm the only one who's going or gone through this before. thanks! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	noa2	what do you mean by being proactive? like collecting now some neccessary requirments like the nbi, nso, etc? yeah...gather all the necessary documents and requirements. If your fiancee receiveda letter from the NVC stating that your case was transfered to Manila, then wait for 2 weeks and scheudle your interview. Dont wait for a snail letter, call, or txt message from Manila embassy telling that they got your case since they NEVER do that in my case. If you got an interview date, again dont wait for another letter, start your medical and just print the letter by email that you already got an interview date and St Lukes will allow you to proceed your medical. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NOA2 Email Received from CSC Today	Today was the day we have been waiting for. I received the I-129F NOA2 approval email today while at work. When I saw the email was from USCIS, I was so nervous; worried it would say we were getting an RFE. Then I read that we were approved. I immediately called my fiancee to tell her the news. We are so very happy. I really hope she can be here for her birthday in just over two months. I also looked on the USCIS website and saw that my case has been touched for the first time. My date moved from my NOA1 date to my NOA2 date without a single touch in 150 days. Even when sending a letter to USCIS for changing my fiancee's address and receiving a confirmation email from them, I never received a touch. Talk about keeping me in suspense. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I Hate Liars	My fiance is worried to death now that she won't be approved her K-1 visa. She went for her medical today and a woman there getting a medical done also told her that they won't approve her because we have only known each other for 8 months and you have to know each other for at least 2 years before they will give you the visa. Now she wants me to ask in here even after I've told her that is all hogwash, so would someone please verify that time has no concept here. OMG.....im a filipina too and tell your fiancee to stay calm, she need not to listen to those kind of people. She should be very careful in talking to some people who doesnt know what theyr saying. If she wants to ask questions, i'll be happy to help her out. Ive been on her situation and I knw what she feels right now. Anyway goodluck for her and i'll be happy to be freinds with her. By the way, im also from Vermont Service center currently located now here in NY. I have lots of filipina friends here in US that are good and will never put her down but instead help her out. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	In most times GOD make u at ease in times when u almost give up and lost hope!!!	I know I have been so impatient waiting for the time to come for me and my hunny to be together again. To feel each others arms, sitting in the couch while wathing movie. This past few days, I was really getting impatient to have our NOA2. I was feeling I was left alone. Until such time I reached in the very peak of my patience. At first I keep telling my self... I can handle it, I have a wide range of PATIENCE waiting for the time. But wow, I was wrong. I thought my patience is strong enough to face this waiting game. I started to question GOD, why cant HE give me what I prayed, since HE can control everything!! I started to doubt and lost hope. My Hunny noticed about the changed I had, he asked me what bothers me. At first I was not like telling him but it scared him, making him thought that I would change and go away instead. So I told him everything I feel. He keep telling me to vent it all to GOD. To tell all my worries and to surrender everything to HIM. He keep calm though I can feel in him that it bothers him knowing that I sounded like to give up. Hunny said "Before you sleep tonight, talk to GOD and tell HIm everything u feel and u will be okay". At that night I did pray and talk to GOD although I always do it before I sleep but at this time I was like talking to GOD seriously serious. I was asking GOD so tell me that everything will gonna be alright. Then I sleep easy at that night. In the following day. My hunny called me early in the morning. As he usually do to tell me goodmorning, and hows my sleep. We talked and asked about hows his day and my sleep. He was telling me that maybe we will receive our NOA2 this week, it might not be today but maybe tomorrow. I said "Im hoping" Then telling I LOVE YOUs. Then we hang up the phone. After like 45 minutes Hunny called back and I wonder why, I worried coz thought something wrong happen in there. But the reason he called back was he received and email telling us that our petition was approved. I dont know how would I react coz I somehow felt guilty doubting GOD. And yet wow, HE made me at ease. Now I can tell that GOD really make me at ease in times when I almost give up and lost hope. Although I feel asshamed to myself questioning GOD about his power, but still GOD is there for me to make me feel alright. GOD is so GOOD!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I had been in contact with one of my congressmen since the start of the whole process. He seemed to have little effect on the process. Yesterday I wrote to 2 state senators and a congressman and then Abra Cadabra I received the NOA2 the next day. Coincidence ? I don`t know. I encourage those who have filed the K-1 to contact their congressmen and senators especially if over the 5 month normal processing time. A couple of questions. What is a rough estimate of when the NVC will recieve my file? Also a rough estimate of how many days from today will it take until the interview? CONGRATS.... To me at that time just a pretty philipina. The last year and a half I began to talk to her all the time. As I got closer to her I realized there is a 17 year age difference and I was getting to serious and with her feelings in mind and her future tried to end it. She was not happy and hurt. I deleted My entire MySpace account but forgot she was on my Messenger. 2 Days had passed and I sat miserably but knowing I did the right thing. Suddenly, a message come from Mav. I was so excited to hear from her. And it went from there. Mavylyn is 32 and I'm 49. I met the family last August and have their Approval. I proposed to Mav January 30th 2010 and she is wearing my ring. (Well her ring) LOL How do you feel and what do think the Philipphine Consulate will feel. Mav and I talk EVERYDAY. I just want to know, we are hitting 5 months mark on monday and we are planning to call the senator to ask for visa assistant, is it too early to call the senator or should we need to wait for a little while? because we don't know what's w/ VSC, last week we called, they said wait after the 8th, then we called them again on wednesday, they told me to wait til the 17th, then last night when we called again, they told me to wait for another 30days!!! dude, another 30 long days! that sucks! if they have problems w/ papers, why not send RFEs than hold them for long and send RFE after.....Sorry, I'm kinda pissed off w/ the process...I don't want to turn into bitter ugly b*tch but this waiting game already getting into my nerves....and what pissed me off more is, we cannot plan for our future, we cannot move forward w/ our lives....b-( Anyways, thanks in advance all.... So i called the embassy after paying the visa fee and apparently you only have 2 choices press 1 if you already filled in ds 160 online and pres 2 if you havent and upon pressing 2 it will tell you to go to the website to get the info...call ends... Questions... (1)I guess this means...instead of the DS 160 i have to fill in and apply online using DS 156?? (2)Also...in the visajourney sample there's a barcode in the ds156 sample...where will that be obtained? is that generated after you complete the form?.... (3) only the ds 160 has fill in instructions...it specifically said to never forget to sign the document online..or else application will be terminated...but online ds156 has no 'sign here' button... (4) and...i guess the visa photo will not be uploaded in this case but brought in the interview?... (5) ive been denied b1/b2 tourist visa aug 2009 but i cant remember the exact date...must i really fill in the form with the exact date?.... Also she has to take a Filipinos overseas class? What’s that about and what does she need to bring to be able to attend that class? Thanks….. Your wife needs to bring a copy of the NVC letter with your manila case number, pictures, ballpen, passport. The filipino overseas class is what she also need before she left the country. I'm currently living in Queens,New York and working for almost a year now. I just decided to move to New York when my dad passed away. So right now I am planning to bring my wife here in the US for us to be together. we've been together for almost 7 years and we just got married last February 16,2012. I filed her petition last march and On March 27, 2012, USCIS received my I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION for my wife. My question is, what are the chances of her visa getting approved knowing I just moved in New York a year ago,but I'm a US citizen. Does it affect my petition or not? And do you think I'll be able to be with my wife by Christmas? I'll be so glad to hear from all of you advice and suggestions. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	interview requirements.....	Hi Everyone...! So my interview is on march 1, 2011 in MANILA embassy and Im going through the letter sent to me by the NVC. I was a little bit confused on the list of requirements it says "correspondence instructions - C", It's says that C means "direct inquiries to consulate/embassy".. what does it mean? I dont even know what correspondence instructions are? Does it mean the letter that they sent to me? or do i need to call manila embassy to inquire about that correspondence instruction? And another question is---- do i need to bring a passport photo of my husband (petitioner)? in advance, thanks for the help and advices!! Goodluck for your interview on March 1! I'm supposed to receive my another shot of varicella vaccine this February. Can I do this on March instead? my fiancee is stuck at work till the end of February that's why I'm asking what are the consequences if we postponed that thing for a while? and what will be our first step? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Attorney Michael Gurfinkel?	Hello friends, As as many of our friends here know, our petition was put on hold in Vermont. August filers, touched in December inquiry Feb 18th, letter March 6th stating background checks have not been finished, please give us another 180 days. Seriously considering changing attorneys to Michael Gurfinkel, My current attorney says to pray and that its out of her hands. Well... we have prayed and prayed and prayed. From what I have researched, this guy is suppose to be a leading immigration expert attorney and of course comes highly recommended from serveral of Ruby's friends. He is also the most expensive attorney money can buy. I guess my question or comment is, Has anyone else used his services with success or have any comments or knowledge regarding him? I don't mind spending the money and I have a telephone consultation with him scheduled for Monday. I did go to my congressman's office this week and they assured me they would do an inquiry, but from what I have read, once you receive this letter, there is really nothing anyone can do but wait. I suppose I just want to be sure I have done everything humanly possible to expedite this case and have it approved. Any comments or insight would be most welcomed. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Qieries regarding DS-Form pls reply..:)	I have a friend who ask favor from me to raise this questions here.. the question is in the form DS-156 it asked about the National Identification Number. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Can my fiancee stop in a foreign country on way to U.S?	I looked through other similar topics and could not find any specifics about this particular issue. Our K1 was approved last week. My fiancee and our daughter are traveling from Manila to NYC on 5/26. The itinerary includes a 15+ hour layover in Tokyo. I rented a hotel room so they can get some sleep. I'm concerned that immigration may have a rule about beneficiaries entering a country on their way to the U.S. The interviewer asked questions about my fiancee visiting other countries during the interview which leads me to believe they have concern about beneficiaries entering foreign countries prior to entering the U.S. Does anyone know if this is an issue? Should my fiancee just find the most comfortable bench in the airport for 15 hours to be safe? Thank you!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 beneficiary wants mother to come to wedding in US	Good day! I am still waiting for my NOA2 to arrive but I'm just wondering on how my mom can come to the US to attend my wedding. We are thinking of a tourist visa but my mom (beneficiary's mother) doesn't have any of those "strong ties" here in the Philippines. She does work as a cashier for my aunt's school but has only been working for 5 months so no income tax return for a year. I was wondering on how long it would take to process a tourist visa and would the K1 beneficiary's mother have a good chance in attending the wedding considering that the mother does not have "strong ties" and can only start processing the tourist visa once K1 is approved and that's in a span of less than 3 months. Other info: My aunt and uncle would want to come to the wedding also. My aunt was once denied of a tourist visa because she answered the income wrongly. This would then be the second time that she will apply with my mother. My aunt just recently retired from her work though both my mom and my aunt have bank accounts here in Philippines but there really isn't much there also. Other than going to my wedding they would also want to go to California and Hawaii to visit my other relatives who are already US citizens and if it helps, they have vouched that they will shoulder the expenses that my aunt, uncle, and mom will incur. That's from plane tickets to board and lodging so what my aunt, uncle, and mom would bring is their pocket or extra money which would maybe only close to $2,000 each. I hope you can help me to shed some light in this dilemma. I would really want to see these people in my wedding as my aunt is the only sibling of my late father and my of course my mom is very important. Thank you. As for my opinion, getting a tourist visa is LUCK...I previously wish that my aunt can easily get a tourist visa with the same reason of attending my own wedding. I don't hav anymore parents and she is my only aunt who look after me while im still in the Philippines..she do have a strong ties to the Philippines, lots of properties,has her own business, big money in bank, travel to some countries, with a son still studying, had this red ribbon support from my USC husband, but still she got DENIED.
