Alright real answer..

What I miss about Philippines is how I can make money in the US and spend them in the Philippines.. Malling, Clubbing, Partying, Drinking outside the house, Going to Fiesta, Staying @ a Hotel... I feel like a 1st class in the Philippines..

Of course lets give thanks to the Exchange Rate.. (too bad the $$ is down)

As for the US.. I can't do what I do in the Philippines here.. Its just too expensive.. All I do here is work, eat, sleep..

What I love most about the US that I can't do in Philippine is.. Online Shopping (ebay, Amazon, etc).. Well you could also do that in the Philippines but I don't trust the Mailing System there and FEDEX (Air21) is just too expensive..

It kinda works out real good...

Congratulations!!!

vonicks, sorry for this late reply. Hope this helps. smile.gif

When SLEC called me, they did not tell any result. Upon releasing they will not tell any result still. It is confidendial. So what I did during the Pulmonary Evaluation, I wated after the Pulmonologist return to CHITO the nurse my orange folder, then I asked CHITO the nurse my result. I secretly asked him, and he let me peek into my papers. laughing.gif

CLARK from counter G (nice guy) of SLEC ground floor. do the callling for those who are waiting for the results of the mycobacteria culture. he wouldn't tell you the result on the phone, or even on person. I did have my immunization the day I was called to return.

The same day they gave me a new INTERVIEW SLIP attached to my original INTERVIEW APPT LETTER. And due to my MAKULIT NATURE, I insisted on having my culture result. The nurse from the releasing counter don't wanna tell me at first, but eventually he did, nakulitan ba naman eh! laughing.gif laughing.gif

Btw, got my visa already, just today. Happy dance! kicking.gif

i remember when I received such purple card, the specified date for visa pick-up was followed accordingly.

now in your case, i suggest you(petitioner) call the embassy & inform them that your fiancee was informed by this Ms. SOphie that the application is still not APPROVED. how come? they already gave you a slip of visa pick-up which is A VERY indirect message that the interview process went through properly.

tHen if they told you(petitioner) that there are some document missing, then ask them what are those? (as much as possible let them explain what are things keeping you on hold, its a lot better instead of telling them - "AH DURING MY FIANCEE INTERVIEW WE WEREN'T ASK WITH THESE PAPERS BLAH BLAH BLAH & ITS NOT OUR FAULT...")
Then, tried to arrange for document submission immediately as travel arrangement has already been made..

i knew previous applicants who went through the same situation & resolved it by coordinating properly with USE for immediate documents submission.

the way i see it from your story..theres no other reason keeping you onhold but those unsubmitted documents..

just a thought..& i hope this enlighten you in some ways...

goodluck!

I thought it was clearly instructed not to make travel arrangement? unsure.gif

Thanks so much. I know here in US you have to fast before some exams etc. so I just wanted to make sure. Also, why do we have to fill out different forms than the ones the embassy sent in packet 4. Sometimes this process is so complex and it needs to be more reasonable. My friend told me they had new DS forms but they sent the older ones. If anyone can shed some more light on the subject I would greatly appreciate it. Joe

After hearing we are approved, my husband seemed so excited and forgot to asked about the visa pick-up..
We went to window 38 where our proofs of bonafide marriage will be return and asked the lady there about our planned flight, she just said that its not her right to decide but she will ask our CO about that..
She called us again and said that the CO said yes regarding our request..
The same day somebody called me and said that my visa was ready for pick-up on Nov 23 since Nov 22 is thanksgiving and embassy will be close..We are so happy..I guess nothing matters if u are with her besides it will help her not to be nervous.. Good luck.. smile.gif

I simply stated the truth, that I was there to help her with her travel, and gave the date of our flights. I guess they accepted that.
I think they like to limit the number of people returning to the Embassy tp pick VISAs because it's a hassle to have all those people come back again. In my experience, if you make a polite request in writing, that's the best shot you have at getting them to agree. It's totally up to the CO's judgement.

WoW.. I thought they would get upset at you for doing such a thing...

I mean you can still help her with her travel even if it was delivered.. I myself is doing the same thing..

I feel so screwed... Another Problem..

So ok.. What I submitted to NVC for my Affidavit of Support I-864 was my 2004, 2005, and 2006.. Which my 2006 was above poverty line. That is why I didn't need a co-sponsor.

Now that I have an Interview on Feb 20. Do I need to show 2007 ITR also... I am afraid they might ask me for a co-sponsor and put my wife on AR.. unsure.gif

I didn't make that much last year.. I am $600 short of the poverty line level..

I was thinking of not mentioning 2007 ITR since I didn't submit that for my I-864 plus W2 for 2007 are just being processed.. I was just lucky to get mine early, but bad luck to see that I didn't make much last year. sad.gif

What should I do?

UPDATE: As I was reading my wife's Packet 4 (Interview Packet) I saw this.. sad.gif

"If sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview."
