PhilippinesDocument Verification Help
QUOTE (DWOODARD72 @ May 14 2008, 04:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi all,

My fiancee Kila passed her medical exam yesterday and her interview is scheduled on 5/20. I've recently read a lot of posts regarding documentation and associated horror stories. Kila and I paid the documentation fee on 4/30 and from what I have read, we are most likely not going to get our visa anytime soon because of document verification (Most people choose to pay even earlier prior to their interviews and are still waiting). That being said, I don't know if there is anything that we can do to change whether we will be in AR or not after the interview but could someone please explain to me how this process works and if there is anything I can do here from the US to find out what is going on? In particular what is going on between the USEM, NSO, and Delbros? What is forwarded to the NSO? When is this done? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

DW

1st of all this is a Random Procedure by the Consular Officer...

Please kindly follow this guide of document verification payment..

http://www.visajourn...howtopic=124332

This Guide is good to follow, but doesn't guarantee the outcome.. (Who knows what these consular officers are thinking)

You may or may not go through Docs Verification as its randomly done..

I just don't want people from blaming the creator of the Guide for following the procedure and still put to AR.

Like I said its a GUIDE..

COURIER DELIVERY OF ISSUED IMMIGRANT VISA
The Immigrant Visa unit uses a guaranteed courier service to deliver issued visas. Applicants may pay for this service and need not return to the Embassy to pick up their visas. Visas are delivered directly to the applicant’s home or office in seven to ten days of issuance, depending on the delivery location. Otherwise, the applicant may return to the Embassy to pick up the visa.

I think you should consider a Co-Sponsor just in case...

Cause I had 3yrs of tax return 2004, 05, 06 all above the P-Line and my 07 was below the P-Line.

In my mind.. I thought they wouldn't ask about 07 since our interview was Feb and 06 was still counted as the latest ITR, since the deadline for filing 07 is not due yet till April.

But still the Pre-Screener and the CO still asked for a Co-Sponsor..

Thank God I prepared one and was ready...

Start organizing your proofs...

Check your NBI if its up to date, Check your NSO Documents if they have any incorrect or misspelled entry..

Gather the family pics, love letters, etc..

A must CRBA of your kid and passport or documents to prove its pending..

Tru dat. I was thinking the same. Aren't NSO documents, verified and certified documents? Thats why they're on NSO security papers. rofl.gif

No, what I mean is the whole CR/IR-1 NVC process where the Petitioner sends the NSO documents on top of the DS-230, if you fail to send the non NSO documents they will return it to you and will not accept any documents other than NSO original.

See I asked an NVC customer service why it has to be original? Doesn't the beneficiary bring the originals on the Interview day?

NVC CS said they verify them here in the US.

That is why the NVC CS lady was mad at me when I was forcing to tell her that there is this process in the Philippines USEM called Document Verification where we had to pay for USEM to request verification for our documents..

The reason I ask is that I personally know a few CR1 cases and none of them were even aware of "document verification".
So I wondered if they do this a lot on K visas only but it looks like nothing really matters. You're going to get a white slip if you're going to get a white slip.

Also, can someone please post their experience regarding doc verification. Ive read a post.. a step on how to avoid delays in doc verification but i think it was deleted. Thanks again.

I heard from a friend that his fiancee's passport during the interview was scrutinized to the point that it was destroyed and was asked to get the new passport issued by DFA which is machine validated. My friend told me that someone in the embassy, i dont know if its a consul or what, doubted the passport of my friend's fiancee as the picture in our old passport is elevated, slightly raised or was just taped in the passport by DFA in security tape (if u notice it...). I would appreciate any replies. Thanks a lot.

What is really bothering me is I see several filipinas getting their visa withing 3 or 4 weeks of payment and sometimes less then a week of the interview.

I called Grace again this morning since they have had a entire week to review and to see if they have finally approved and printed and have forward to delbros.

Well.. Grace tells me it's still under review and can't give me no time line of when the CO will be finished.

I am told will just have to wait and it may be a while longer.

I am so sick of the BS.

why does it only take some just a few weeks to process... my frustration has finally hit the roof.
