Hello Vjers,

I need some advices all of you here about my passport, I was apply and got my passport before a few days my husband arrive here to see me and we got married. Of course my old family name i use at my passport i got since we are not yet marry that time, but now that we are married and I use my Husband name we planning to get another new passport of mine with my husband name. I`ve been go to the DFA (here in our place since they have a yearly visiting ) to change my name at my new passport but some of the people there working in foriegn affairs told me that i need to attend seminar first at the CFO in Cebu or Manila before i will going to apply again to change my new name in my new passport.

The question is, Do i really need to attend the seminar at CFO before i change my new family name into my new passport? I had a complete requirements already since i was asking in DFA Manila about that matters. Bring the passport, new Passport Id, birth certificate and Authenticated Marriage License If i attend the seminar at CFO and since we required us to attend Seminar at CFO do i have a advance seminar than that even we never know yet our Interview date? I dont want to wasting our Money and time, so if there have any cases similar like this, I need your advices please...

Alls I can tell you is a friend of my [K3] was on AR for 2 months because of USEM doing a CENOMAR check.
CRs/Ks/IRs all should get CENOMAR or CEMAR.
We did [K3] and didn't have problems.
Also a good thing to have as they show past and present marriage.

WOw! all you guys here was have a great wedding. I can say too that i have a great wedding too and solem wedding i have. I have a simple civil wedding i ever had and we only spend almost $150(not included for our wedding band) it is including our reception held in my apartment. Guess what i have only 12 guest including my parents.

Hi! We have the same med and interview date. I think Hotel La Corona has a reasonable rate. It's about Php 2000+/night with breakfast for 2. They're not stirct with the number of person in a room...3 would still be ok (just be sneaky..he he). I also saw one right across St Luke's. It's a pensionne house i guess. I'll check the rates next week and post it.Good luck to us!!!


We have a sem Med date but USEM is Jan.9 maybe we can shared a room. I think so and guess it would be great.

I wanted to shared all family member here in VJ of my dissapointment and felt bad during my Medical Interview. They found suspicious in my x-ray chestl and I have a 3 days sputum check-up. I know what other family members feeling too co`z i was feeling this time what they felt too, i need to wait 8 months for there results this sputum check-up. Now, my USEM Interview was re-schedule and dont know yet. I am expected i will be with my husband middle of the January but God has another planned for us. Even i know that this is his will and what he going to messages us for me and my hubby for this happened I still really dissapointed but i hope he allow us to make us happy togethger.

To all who read this,Me and My Husband need your prayers for our good result and good news for our Med.the this coming new years, even this christmas has a little bit dissapointed and felt bad.

All of us has been experience a trials in life and i have a lots that already. I try to be strong but this time its must hard to me to pretend i am still fine even i accept it already. I wait another time again co`z i undergo a sputum test, 2 months its really hard to me now to wait again to see my hubby again. I am totally desperate this situation evey minute,hour and day passed by its makes me more totally felt i am unlucky but i still have in faith that someday i will be with my husband Arms again.

Pray for me all, i need all your prayers...

After the frustrating and dissapointed excperience in my early Medical last December 17. It was long quite days still felt depress everytime i was hopefully waiting a rang from SLEC, when i will going back to get my sputum result for 8 weeks im was so quite suffered this situation. For everytime i was talking my husband,everytime i was alone and missing him, God i was totally depress. Suppose, i was in his arms again doing happily and to take good care his everyday. Eventhough that i was accept whatever plans we have for our life God is there to prepared us the best time before we reunite again. Now and then, everytime i was woke up in the morning I felt so excited to see my Cellphone screen from SLEC call to let me know my sputum result day.
Thanks to my Deares husband he was always there to me even he was far at me but he was trying to cheer me up everytime i was in depress, he`s undying love and support to me I always proud him.

All of us really amaze this increasing of medical fee but I am more surprise and get a horror news this morning when i was at slec.

Past couple months,that i was everyday there at SLEC co`z of my medication. I ask SLEC if i will going have a re-medical again if it so I ask them if i pay again and they told me TWO times that after my Medication I will not going to payed again co`z i was old applicant that i already paid before also my papers was not yet give at USEM co`z of my TB problem. So, I was felt comfortable that i am not affected the fee increasing and I will going to continue only the vaccination after the medication done but Surprisingly this morning Slec tell me that i will going to re-medical and i will payed the increase fee... WHAT! so, i tell them the one they told me before a past couple months but its unclear explanation that i never accept.

They only told me that last week USEM and SLEC has a meetings that has change arrangement now that i use to payed the increasing fee but as i said its not unclear to me what kind of vaccinations they going to add and where is my payment go? Guess in their pocket....so next day i will going to make it clear and ask assessment records where my husband money go....?

As of now they take advantages us more and i am sure they will increase monthly... Where is the right of the petitioner's and applicant if all the time their will want us to followed what they want. They think we are its easy for us but they doesnt know that for the first time our petitioner applied at USCIS we have already paid more and wait a few months when they approved us then Medical Fee is more burden and makes us frustrated again.

Its been 4 months now, since I been having a Early Medical Exam at St. Lukes. I was excited in first place before i go at Slec and hoping that i can have my Medical result as early i was expected and wait my Interview time at USEM. But all the feelings was turned into Blue when they tell me that i will doing a sputum test and wait 2 months for culture result. Mixed emotions, Depress, disappointed, and Lonely all the expectation those time was really cant imagine and express.

After 6 weeks to wait they called me to go back at Slec and to get my result. Expected so much the result was good and there is no trouble in my health but then all the depression, disappointed and lonelyI felt was more worst when the Doctor confirm me that i was have a inactive TB and need to have a Medication it takes 6 months.....Lesson: Don`t too much expect too much it will make you disappointment and depress more. To make you unhappy and hard to accept the Reality. Do i hear it good when Doctor said 6 months of Treatment? You how long it was and to be waited again? 6 months of treatment and to be wait to be with my Husband again.

My husband was expected too that I dont have any problem with my Health. But those time the fate was not us, Im not lucky like others those time. Now, How do I tell my husband that I am going to have a 6 months medication? Where to I start to tell him that I was infected and have a TB that needs to have a 6 months Medication? Worried! Scared! I was so scared more to tell him co`z i was thought there was changes his feelings to me. ( Lesson: Trust you Husband/Fiancee/Fiance with all your Heart and Soul.)

But still I decided to call Him and tell him all what is going on my Medical result, unexpectedly in the middle of conversation tears was flow in my eyes when I explaining him whats going on but my Husband stay clam, listen, understand my feelings, cheer me up those time even I was know his feeling that he was affected too for my Medical result. Lesson: Don`t doubt his Love to you, He loves you much more than what you think think of.. My husband, My Love and My Best friend showed me how what Love more means and ear to listened my depression. I am Lucky have a husband and friend like him.

But, even i realized I am lucky. I still have made a DABDA. Denial= that i dont have a TB. Even I was start already my Medication at St. Luke I still deny that i dont have infected. Angry= to the people at SLEC and God why Me. Every time i go there at St. Luke I was felt so much bad to them co`z I will gonna wait 6 months, expensive to go there everyday just to take a Medicines. Yes, they not allowed you to bring your Medicines you always go there everyday at St. Lukes to take your Medicines and Yes, I was spent a lots of money for my Transportation, most of all you can always tired and inhale the polluted air in the street.Bargaining= my anger was passed and I ask forgiveness to God what all I said to him. Depression= for what happened me. I still have a depression co`z takes so long to me to be with my husband. Acceptance= I calm and wait the God`s will now and believe he plan us the best time to Me and my Husband one day to be reunited again. And 6 months is good for the lifetime Happiness together with my Husband in the best time to reunite again. ( Lesson: Believe him (Jesus) whatever happened your life co`z He was really knows what best you are in this time. He has something planned to you and He was prepared you the lifetime Happiness.)

And Now, Yes Now! I am almost 3 months of treatment and try to move on now with Happiness and Love with husband, most specially faith in God. And I was taken as of now a short course while I having Medication May 2, 2008 will be my first X-ray test and I already lift up to God all what happened co`z he was know what the best to me this time. By my help, support to my Husband and my loving family. ( Don`t give up.)

After the 3 months taken a medicines at SLEC everyday my follow-up x-ray was done last May 2 but has a bad news when i back at SLEC last May 5 co`z i was expected that was my evaluation of the follow-up x-ray but the nurse at D.O.T was told me that i need to perform again a 2nd x-ray co`z the x-ray i done last May 2 was not so good.
So, I take a 2nd chest x-ray again ( Lots Radiation now, Waaaaaaa) so i go to x-ray lab again then they ask me to wait and after few minutes they told me to go back at D.O.T to scheduled my evaluation. The head nurse at clinic told me that May 6 my evaluation but instead to having evaluation at next day I told them to schedule me at May 7.

When the evaluation time, I go to pulmonary evaluation to see and talk the attending Doctor there. I meet and talk again the same Doctor 3 months ago and last evaluation I have. She showed me again my last x-ray that they said i had a suspicious part near of my shoulder but i was amaze when she showed me and point the right side of my lungs and told me that was part i having problem ( But I know that wasn`t the part they showed me before.)

The Good News is I will be having a next and last x-ray at July 31 and that was my last day of medication also (Praise the Lord!) and next sputum will be at May 21-22 without culture anymore co`z as far the Doctor said I am negative again and already healed just to make it done the 6 months medication. ( "GOD IS GOOD" )

I agree with shape and about the " ñ "you must type first into the Microsoft word before you copy and paste into the place where you want to put. It is okay if you have a different code again in the new DS 156 form it was happen to me before but its okay there is no big deal that I guess.
