PhilippinesUSUALLY A MONTH !!!!
Edith, we are in the same boat. I just been wondering that some of us ahead from us was get there visa in after 2 or 3 days. I was got a pink slip only and wondered why it takes so long our visa. I was been called at Delbros this morning and ask about my DV. Delbros said that embassy ask their request my DV last sept 24 and they sent to the request to NSO last Sept. 26 as what they said it takes 2 weeks to verify at NSO. He told me to called NSO and ask when they sent back to embassy but richard told me to called the call center number. I guess they are not allowed now to talked about our case. It will be 2 weeks now this coming Friday and wish i will heard something about our visa next few days. TO much delayed our papers, so much alibi they told us.

It's 6-month-treatment. If you missed a medication by one day, you have to repeat the process again, go back to day 0 treatment.

Most alarming is the source. Child got it due to a prolong exposure with another adult afflicted with tb.

Yes, If she will be positive in test she will undergo 6 months treatment and go at slec everyday. If she will missed a one day she will not repeat in Zero but she will extended. Example. If she will starting Jan. 1 and she will end or done too at July 1 but if she missed one day she will done July 2 that was there policy. If your baby is 2 or 3 you can ask a waiver for go there weekly its depends how you talk the doctor and the Head nurse there. You can talk Ma`am Liz they are good there.

If you think she is not deserving then let go... you sure can still find someone better as the old folks says..If somebody closes a door for you, worry not someone else will come willing to open both windows and doors. Now if she will gets back and make up with you,it will be your decision to give a second chance or not.

That's life Bevs.. people come and go yet REAL friends will stick with you.

Yeah Sis, I agree to some post here. Just let it go. Time can heal and time can tell on the right time of judgement!. I too treasured a friendship but If this person is ignoring you then do the same. Yeah we can tell to our self na "sayang" but its better like this than having friends but only pretending or "PLASTIKAN".hehehehhe lol laughing.gif

rigth sis. tupperware as what other called those kind of friends. well its ok , i got u here so many, though i didnt met some in person yet i know they are true enough to be called friend. sos thanks for the complement. u also, got the looks and smile.

sis evelyn, thanks for the message. i appreciate it alot. GOD bless u and ur family.

Well, sis. FORGET HER she is not really a true friend of you i guess. Well, as the old says " ANg hindi marunong lumingon sa pinang-galingan siguradong madapa. Joke.." I naku, that kind of friend are not worthy to be treasure specially to those trying hard to forget the good times and bad times you both shared before in past.

Bevs, You tried what you can do, and I guess that was enough, if she has a problem with you she should do what you did towards her. In this world, some people will just be there when they need you, when they need to console to you, but time comes that they will completely forget about you. Come'on girl, you have a lot of reasons to just erase her too from your memory. you have wonderful circle of friends

you are right here sis, i already tried the best i could to able to reach her, but yeah some people does change alot, better if they change for a better person, but they change for the worst person they are. and in this part, true color appear. now i know who are my true friends and who are my acted friends. well that type of woman will easily be forget. they are alot of friends here at VJ, and actually i just hang out of one of them earlier. when u lost someone, there will always a replacement. thank u sis for the words.

Bevs, sometimes you dont easy to conclude someone why she not reply you back yet in many times you sent her a messages, maybe she was busy or didnt notice your messages yet. I know how hard you to reach her to contact specially for the long lost friend. I am a same boat to you too but i just wait the perfect time. I guess she doenst felt bad at you maybe she was busy or not notice yet. If she was forget you then forget her too but treasure the good moment between you and her in the past. I guess she wasnt really your good friend it she notice or read your messages already maybe she try to forget you and dont want to have a communication of you again. Yes, you can have a bunch of friend anywhere but the true friend is stay with you no matter how far both each other. Sometimes we thought that co`z our friend not communicate us they forget us already but i believe they doesnt forget us. Just wait the perfect time she will notice your message and contact you back, most of all to cross your both path to see each other again. Good Luck, Sis.

PhilippinesVisa Approved after almost 4 weeks on AR 221(g)
QUOTE (carmerlin_hembel @ Nov 2 2008, 08:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hello everyone,

I been a member of this website but i dont have much post in here. I just like reading the forum and i found this website really helpful.

I been on AR for almost 4 weeks and the last time my fiance followed up my visa, he was surprise that the customer service told him that the visa is printing now. I been on AR since October 7 because they are asking a proof of "current sustain income" of my fiance that proof he can support me. My fiance always follow up twice a week through customer service and once in a while to lorrain and grace extension number.I also emailed the USEM in polite manner and 3 days after i emailed them they released my visa. Wow!Thank God!

I just thought i share this to those who are still on AR 221(g).

To those who are still on AR, you should do follow ups in USEM by phone and let your fiance do the talk to USEM. He can use his pin that he bought when you scheduled your interview, its free of charge. Sometimes call Lorraine or Grace on their extension number once a while. They wont tell you any information because they are afraid to get mistake to give false information and give too much expectation to their clients because if that happens the client will upset when they got false expectation from them. BUT they will put in their data base that u did follow ups so the CO will see that. If Lorrain or Grace told u to call back again this week, do it because they are really working on your case and forward your follow ups to CO who handle your case. But dont forget to pray when u do that also, its a great help. God is listening.Goodluck to you. Dont worry your visa will be there soon. Its okey to wait longer that they put you on denial, right? Just take it easy ...at least you still have more time to spend time with your love ones here bec when u get to US you probably miss them too...its gonna be forever with your husband ...

Congrat`s to you, wish we can hear our case too this weeks. Good Luck to you!

Pssssst! Jose Rizal, what's your say in this?

At least USEM is aware of the problems of administering DV and is trying implement a DIY solution (i.e. bring your own CENMAR/CENOMAR!) Haha! blink.gif

Seriously if the US embassy had realized that the DV was creating more backlogs and had decided to remove it, then why wasn't the DV process retroactive? If you've noticed that the recent applicants are already getting their visas and some are already with their SOs in the US whereas us August and September applicants are still waiting for ours.

Though we are happy for the new applicants already having their visas, it's really unfair for the rest of us just waiting for the DV. On average, it takes eight weeks (contrary to the six weeks) before our DVs get back to the USEM. Add a few more weeks for review, printing and delivery. It's really a stressful and depressing stage for us as we cannot even plan even for the short term. We are living on a day-to-day basis since our interview dates one to two months ago. And we are all victims of bureaucracy.

For those to be interviewed just again clarify with Delbros just to be sure the sceond time around. But one interviewee who was interviewed yesterday wasn't asked for the DV. So for the November applicants, this would seem to be the situation for now. But for the December applicants things may change. Like what StephnRia mentioned "who knows how the system works?"

All I can say is the cliche "prepare for the worst and hope for the best". In other words, bring all the necessary docs and verify again and again the DV thing just in case and just hope that the DV is no longer required during your interviews. My best wishes to all of you! (Well, might as well iclude us still waiting in that statement!) smile.gif

Manny, I agree of you its unfair for us who has waiting long time but happy to others got their visas already. Hope next time USEM will aware about this happened again to others who has waiting for DV. One wish, hope they will work good this weeks for all of us who was in waiting list.

Honestly, I feel that ronjie and DEDixon have a totally unfair approach to this, study the langauge, instead of trying to stamp out the little exposure you find yourself forced to endure. If you want immersian into a langauge, this forum is one of those places to get that. I have no doubt that many people here while able to understand english and speak it well, find it very frustrating too, it's far more comfortable to speak and write in their native tongue. I remember my flight home, very specifically the first time I heard a native english speaker, it was something of a moment of clarity, I didn't have to concentrate to understand, it was loud and clear, the langauge I know. You feel left out when everyone else is speaking tagalog, then change yourself, instead of trying to force everyone else to change. Basically it's not about you, you have some valid points but you are ignoring everyone elses in favor of your own, selfish needs, your life is made easier if everyone speaks english around you, but you are making those who would prefer to speak their native tongue harder. It's rude to expect everyone else to cater to your personal needs!!!

I personally like the fact that this forum has a mix of english and tagalog, it gives me practice reading material that occassionally has some context, unfortunately I don't know enough tagalog yet to read many posts and know what the heck is being talked about, but with the help of a trusty dictionary and spending some time I can figure it out. I also know that if I have to I can ask a question here in english and an englihs answer will show up, so I CAN get the information I want.

my point as well. You take too much pride on yourself not to take effort to learn our language. You want everyone around you to conform to your ways for your own convenience. Do you know why you feel left out? because you chose too, you don't want to listen or learn. If you put your ear or mind on to discussion you will find yourself immerse into the foreign language and surprisingly pick up couple of words and eventually figure out what they are talking about. If you can't, ask someone to translate the discussion for you, posts here are mostly in bisaya not in tagalog.

This forum is our comfort zone. Yes we know how to speak English but it's still different when you can use your own native tongue. Less effort to speak and write. It's like a nice break to use their language again. And we can fully express ourselves. We are not being rude. But if you start a thread and everyone is replying in another language then that is rude. If you want to know something ask, be humble. Everyone is willing to help you out. I did not find the rules of language etiquette here, if you have it please do furnish us such copy. But what I know is Give Respect to the OP if she opt to write in her own language.

You need to discuss this issue with your SO's, your frustrations are projected to this thread. Tell them how you feel when you have family gatherings and everyone starts to speak in diff language. Point it out to your wife when you are in the room everyone should talk in English. Then do your part as well study our language, don't take this a one sided effort. Be more open minded.

Some Pinoys find it difficult to speak in English, coz not everyone in Philippines and even in this forum are fluent in your language. It takes too much effort using English in the conversation, some cannot fully express themselves, and can be frustrating for them. It's like having a nose bleed, as pinoys would say it, because of too much pressure in their brain to converse with you. Eventually they feel embarrassed to speak in English coz they were not able to communicate well to you.

Study our language, be humble to ask and talk to your SO's re your issues during family gatherings.

Absolutely true! good.gif good.gif good.gif

I guess it was doing fine. you're the one bring the passport during the interview schedule not unless the consul will give it back to you. Don't so much worried about it just sit back and relax for upcoming interview.

PhilippinesTragic Story of Thomas Hunt and Filipina Wife
When i was read all this story about Mr. Hunts tragedy, I felt sorry how come there was a some of fellow Filipina women who treated to the American Man like this after they get what they want. Are they are SELFISH people? or best words are they are WICKED one?!
I am not judge into them but We are Filipino people was born and raised in our country with full of Nice Tradition to be a respectful and Lovable to someone either they are White or Black, Rich or Poor. Most especially we are from a religious country. Where is the tradition now that we grown up to our Native Land? American or African or Black People has a heart , feeling's to get hurt and long to be happy for the rest of their lives and most of all they are God's people.

I am truly believe still even how many times the world are changing or wherever we are in this wide world the Tradition that we are raise and for our parents showed us when we are young was in the Heart of one of us. I believe there is a lots of filipina women like us who was really devoted , loving and caring to thier husband either American or Black.
And for those of all Filipina women like HER, wish they are few and not get hurt to someone anymore. Don't let Satan rule in your life co`z we believe their is life after Death to final judge us.

Not to mention, I used a co sponsor. For those who said Manila doesn't accept co sponsors I would have to say your wrong, because my wife said many with co sponsors were approved.

Hello Vjers,

I need some advices all of you here about my passport, I was apply and got my passport before a few days my husband arrive here to see me and we got married. Of course my old family name i use at my passport i got since we are not yet marry that time, but now that we are married and I use my Husband name we planning to get another new passport of mine with my husband name. I`ve been go to the DFA (here in our place since they have a yearly visiting ) to change my name at my new passport but some of the people there working in foriegn affairs told me that i need to attend seminar first at the CFO in Cebu or Manila before i will going to apply again to change my new name in my new passport.

The question is, Do i really need to attend the seminar at CFO before i change my new family name into my new passport? I had a complete requirements already since i was asking in DFA Manila about that matters. Bring the passport, new Passport Id, birth certificate and Authenticated Marriage License If i attend the seminar at CFO and since we required us to attend Seminar at CFO do i have a advance seminar than that even we never know yet our Interview date? I dont want to wasting our Money and time, so if there have any cases similar like this, I need your advices please...

I've been touched all the days you have been too. This is getting to be ridiculous. I hadn't been touched for four months to the day and got really excited when the touches started. But now i'm just plain anxious... I agree that something's broken at the center.... what else could this be about. Atleast its reassuring to know that the many many touches are happening to more than a few of us...

Have you recieved an RFE? Or maybe you are with the same Official as Nerdette and I. I think this official is memorizing our applications word for word. Just crazy!!

Nope....no RFE....atleast not yet. arrgghhh!!!

Same here.... No RFE... at least yet unsure.gif

Ok, so, I dont know what to make out of my recent touches:
Touched 10/30 - Both I130/K3
Touched 10/31- Both I130/K3
Touched Again: 11/01 - Both I130/K3. AGAIN.. wacko.gif Oh come. on..

BTW, I did call today so maybe this one is due to my phone call but then again I dint even mention my K3 case#... come to think of it again.. Maybe both are getting touched, per say, if they are already paired up, which at this point they should be... but who knows and frankly at this point, I dont care about these damn touches anyways.. I 'd just like a NOA2... please.. Is it tooooo much to ask for after almost 6 months of waiting? smile.gif

Good Luck to all good.gif

I understand the feelings of being stress and frustrated waiting the Approval letters from USCIS. Just kept Patience and Pray sooner you will recieved your Approvals too.
