K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Vermont Center is slow?	I hate to burst your bubble, but I think your time frame is highly unrealistic. If you just filed in June, you'll be just receiving your NOA2 in late November, most likely. Assuming your petition is approved with no RFEs, you still have to go through the background check at the NVC (which can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a year, depending on whether someone on any of the international terrorist or criminal watchlists has the same name as your beneficiary fiance). After that, the petition file goes to the fiance's consulate and they have to file more papers and get a medical exam before they can even have an interview. A more realistic timeline is probably 9 months to a year from your file date. That said, I've heard of a couple of cases put through in as little as 6 or 7 months (only once or twice, though), and I've heard of them taking almost a couple of years (if they have to go to AP or receive a NOID/NOIR). If I were you, I'd settle in, get used to waiting, and count yourself lucky if you've got an NOA2 by December. Best of luck to you! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Frustrated at this broken, broken system	I was talking to my stepsister who got married to a guy while he was in the US on a tourist visa... they got married and simply adjusted status, no problem. A coworker of mine called a USCIS office and the person he called actually TOLD him to get his Russian Fiancee here on a business or tourist visa, marry her, and then file for adjustment of status. I feel like a moron now. I've been without my fiancee for almost five months now, may have to postpone our wedding (and thus ensuring her parent's can't make it because they already bought tickets for that date) because the process is taking so long. I just responded to an RFE and am still waiting for the NOA2. Why didn't I just marry her when she was here on the visa waiver program to visit me? Why is it easier to do it the wrong way? Separating couples like this is a hardship on relationships, finances, and plans for the future. We need to fix this already... Anyway, this is just outright whining, I'm sorry, I just had to vent. Every day I check my email for something from USCIS, even on the weekends when I know it's useless. I just want to see her again but I can't exactly afford the 2 grand it costs to fly to Holland and back. I totally agree with you i dont understand why this has to take so long especially when there is plenty of evidence.... it it frustrating being away from ur loved one.... i all have to say atleast there is skype its better than nothing for now.... i just beleive in GOD and pray everyday for a speedy process	habibi11	Female	Tunisia	2012-07-22 19:11:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	filing I-129f	He told me that he just mailed all the requirements even the payment but that was last year..they told him to complete all the requirements.last july 2012 he already complete all the requirements what they told him.but until now he never receive noa1.even.the receipt of payment..as far as i know he send the i-129f to california and my fiancee lives in hawaii.. Honestly i dont know if he tell me the truth that's why i register to this forum to get some idea..i am from philippines. The check was not cash yet... Ok, so I was in the kitchen cooking dinner and started to wonder what my day would be like if my hunny was here with me. Then I thought to myself...how is it going to be when he just gets here? I will have to go to work and I guess he will just have to sit at home? I mean once we get married and he applies for residency he can start looking for work but in the mean time I have a feeling he is going to get reallyyyyyy bored! Hi guys, As my topic states, my petition has been in the system for exactly six months and 3 days now. Should I call my senator or the USCIS people and start asking questions or should I give them a week or so from the six month mark to send me the NOA2? technically I would give them a week and a half. I dont want to wait anymore Oh n I havent gotten any notices pertaining to any alien registration numbers or anything else either. Hang in there my NOA1 is July 9 at Vermont and Im still waiting our time will come... I thought about calling but they will only tell us we are still in normal processing time seeing the website says June 4.... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Vermont processing timelines: Very frustrating!	I have an NOA1 date of July-5th, 2012. Now it has been 6 months and still nothing. I have tried calling tier-2 officers and all they say is there is a backlog. Prior to today, Vermont center was processing applications dated May-28th as of Oct-30th. Today there has been another update as of Nov-30th, but the dates are for June-4th. So even with a 1 month progress, has the center only processed a week's worth of applications? At this rate, I wonder when our papers will come through. Very frustrating! Ive been following some of you with your posts and timelines, and quite a few of you received your NOA2 fairly quickly after the NOA1. We still havent though:*( im starting to get nervous. We didnt get any RFEs or anything either which is a good thing obviously but the fact the NOA2 isnt here yet is making me wonder have they or are they even looking at our petition? Ive called once recently, but got the automated system which basically said the same thing that I see on the website, which says we're in the initial review stage. IM NERVOUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSS AND SCAREEDDD :*((( pleaseee tell me this usually how long it takes and I have nothing to worry about but than why are others' petitions being accepted so quickly? not that I have a problem with them uniting as soon as possible but I would like to have my baby here with me like years ago:( i dont know what to do how to chill or uggghhhhhhhhhhh is how I feel actually is there a number that I can call and talk to an actual person, not a damn machine. I don't know if any of you remember Madlibs? The game where you put in random words and then the end result story comes out totally hilarious!? I found a website for it....so I thought if we wanted to, some people could fill them out (be a funny/dirty/silly as you want) and then post your result. I think it might be a tad better than play8ing games on FB hahaha. Who knows? I might be on and off over the next 16 days as my love is here with me (yay!). It's been 4 months...so we have a LOT of catching up to do!! So....for fun....let's all try to share the CRAZIEST or most creative thing they've done on skype to pass the time. Naturally, I know where most of your minds have just gone... but try to keep it KINDA clean if you can LOL Wishing you all a day FULL of funny distractions to keep your mind off of the wait!
