K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescancelling my I-129F tha has been approved
QUOTE (kitkat @ Nov 13 2008, 04:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
so I guess I'm in the opposite side of most of you, my K1 was approved, but now we broke it off and it's over. He's not coming so I just want to cancel and forget about the waste of time that I've been through.

Is anyone out there aware of the process to do this?

Sorry to hear that. sad.gif You have to write a letter to the USCIS and the counsalate stating that you wish to withdraw the petition.

Hi,..Guys I have this long distance courtship with American man for 8 years, but haven't met in person yet. I know it's sounds crazy but don't worry i know what our obstacles are..

umm..we really want to meet in person but seemed the possible way is that i go there. The problem if i apply for tourist visa, i cant marry him or it will be a fraud if we dare to do it. I'm a good person and citizen and i dont want to do anything againts the law and God of course. innocent.gif

So, we came up with the idea to apply for fiancee visa but when i read the prosedure and requirements we should have proff of meeting in person in last 2 years .. crying.gif unfortunately we haven't...

is there any suggestion for us..
I know our live is in God's control
We walk in our faith

But we will really appreciate it, if anyone could help us..

hope to hear from you soon

You have to have met in person first.

Good Morning VJers!

My fiance will be arriving into NH Saturday night on his K-1 Visa. kicking.gif

He will be connecting through Charlotte NC. I didnt see any reviews for this POE. Anyone have experience with CLT? I have been through the airport but did not have to deal with immigrattion.

Also, just to be sure, all he needs is the sealed envelope and Passport/Visa (of course). Is there anything else he needs that I am forgetting?

Thanks all for the help/advice.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportsfinally USCIS called us and admit their mistakes!
QUOTE (melissa/martin @ Sep 7 2008, 10:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
whew.. hi people! it's been an excruciating month for me and my fiance because of our K1 process is taking longer than it should. We got our Noa2 (approval) July 7, 2008 and hasn't received anything from NVC when USCIS claimed that within 2-4 weeks NVC should receive it and notify us by mail.

Anyway, we tried everything... bugged CIS and NVC's with calls and email. My fiance just got back from here and while he was here we tried to call CIS and NVC together. So, ok I talked to somebody from CIS named Julie and she told me she'd call us back once she has some news with our papers... So we waited for two days... and finally Julie called me back and told us that they made a mistake and are sorry for the delay. What they did, instead of making a file to send to NVC they made a file for their record. So she told us within 2 weeks our papers will be fixed and sent to NVC. Now, I just checked our case online and they updated it again from 07-07-08 to 09-05-08.

Anybody got to experience this?

They have more stories than Mother Goose.First, they try to convince me that my case really isn't out of normal processing times because of the backlog. Then, they say "I don't know," which infuriates me.Then they say they have 2 million applications to do and they're "sorry." I post this on the board rather than PM so everyone can see. Your profile says you live in Riverside, CA. You KNOW what a sideways peace symbol means. It is a gang/terrorist symbol. Maybe you are not a terrorist but use the symbol unknowingly. The two "friends" of yours that you later called "beggars" are obviously holding things they want others to think are weapons. Peace brother. This kind of message is bad for society. I want the best for you but please be more careful. That picture will get you in trouble.

Oh and she happens to be beautiful and rich, and he happens to be the son of Osama bin Laden.

QUOTE (wahrania @ Feb 3 2008, 07:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I had the experience about 4 years ago that I knew one of my friends was being used for papers by her husband. I knew his older brother and I knew for a fact that her husband ( much younger ) was dating other women. I struggled with the knowledge and told a mutual friend and and finally decided to tell my friend. Needless to say, the friend getting used did not believe me, stopped speaking to me. Within one year the guy dumped her and is now engaged to a younger Moroccan woman. My former friend spent almost 10000 getting this moron his papers.

I have also seen americans married to mena men that told her it was not time for a baby and kept coming up with bogus excuses for why they couldnt have a baby till her fertility ran out and his greencard was secure.

Do you say something? If you see something stupid or dangerous , should you comment?

I have another friend involved with a criminal. She was doing ok before she met him. She is now thousands in debt and paying his car payment.

I am starting to think that at all costs, say nothing and let people do exactly as they want to even if you are super good friends because they will not listen to you anyway.

I wonder what the rest of you think. Its my experience that no one will listen anyway. What are your obligations to friends if you see something wrong or you think they are being taken advantage of?

My best friend is going through something similar right now.He brought this witch over from Colombia and after 7 years, she gave him a kick in the backside. She waited this long because not only did she want the green-card,she wanted citizenship too.He would always complain on how mean she was to him,how she wouldn't sleep with him,etc.etc.Everybody,including myself could see she was just using him but he was in denial for 7 years. After finally waking up last summer,he filed for divorce. She basically begged him to take her back because she couldn't afford to live on her own.She faked a mental illness and went to the local psych hospital, and now she's on SSI.She is also trying to sue my friend for alimony and half his pension.I told him to take out his retirement and the rest of his money and go back to Colombia, that will fix her.

If you see yourself you want to settle in this country and have a future here, I agree in marrying a US citizen just for green card, and suffer emotionally for couple years and secure your future..., things these days are only getting harder for the illigal immigrants, they even been called terrorists , because the paths to legalize yourself here are so long and uncertain. If your employer want to sponsor you it will take years and years I think between 7 to 10yrs and you have to stuck with that same employer for years with low pay and sometimes no benifits. If you have a US citizen child, he has to be 21yrs old before he/she can apply for you, so the only way is marriage!!

I remember back in the early nineties, the new comers had to find the least attractive woman in the city, all the 200lbs and up were married to Moroccan men, happy with their little toys just arrived from back home (skhoun) that he tells her horror stories about what had happened to him back home and how miserable he was back in Morocco so she'll love him and feel sorry for him and do all possible way for him not to get deported, and she will never dare to think visiting Morocco with him!! They use to call the period of their marriage "passer le service millitaire" ... If they see an ugly, old fat lady (shayta 3la 7babha) she will be perfect for lwri9at.

So, the only way to build a future here and be one of the crowd, go ahead do it, the only thing is the ugly, fat, old ladies 3a9o ..

Funny you mention this. When I was in college,I knew an Iranian guy.He was SMOKING HOT ! He was here on some kind of program but didn't want to go back to Iran after graduation. So all of a sudden,he started dating a girl who wasn't ugly but.......looked like a librarian. So everybody, including myself of course would ask why ? are you okay ? do you need glasses ? but Persian women are so beautiful....etc.etc. His reply to us was this,"After my whole life of eating filet-mignon, I just want to have a hot-dog."

huh.gif rolleyes.gif

As a librarian, I am a little offended...

Interesting how in this thread and others the danger of stereotypes and assumptions is brought up but this is a safe one to make...

Some guys are turned on by librarians BTW...

Patti,

It is the same way for us BBWs.

It sure is.I can vouch for that.

Thank you all for your kind words, I am no longer working at my job, that I loved and worked hard at. I had to make a very hard decision, I know that something was done, and it was done wrong, and will be covered up unless I speak out. I made this decsion over much thought, knowing they will most likely drag my name in the mud. I live in a very southern town, family is well known, I am the black sheep. I am sure my marriage will come up in this process, "her poor mama, she ran off and married an Arab man," I will be the local entertainment for my town for a while. I have some very close friends, and sadly we must be careful so they don't lose their jobs. I have seen what the government can do, what happen to our rights in this country? I haven't even told my husband any of this, I mean I just am in shock right now, and taking one day at a time. Keep me in your prayers!!!!

I am asking you all for your prayers, something last week happened in my life that has forever changed me. It has nothing to do with my husband or my love for him, he has no idea, and I don’t even have the words to say what happened. My marriage is fine as far as I know, but after this incident I trust nothing anymore. It has nothing to do with sex or infidelity, so it is nothing even remotely like that. It is something I have witnessed and for the first time, I have woken up to the fact of, there is no human rights in America. What I witness, and experienced, forever shaken the very things I thought I loved about my country. I have even thought of just up and leaving my birth land. When this happened in that moment my husband was like a dream, a fantasy so far away. I felt so helpless and scared, I hope to never feel that again in this life time.

What happened ? ohmy.gif Even though over the years I have seen things and have felt like you do,one should not give up on their country.Just think, there are other places where people cannot vote for who they want,or if they speak out, they find themselves wearing cement shoes at the bottom of the ocean somewhere.I know how you feel, but try to stay positive.

I remember, one day after 9/11,the Providence police chased and harrassed a Sikh man because he "looked suspicious."It looked like a scene straight out of Cops,I couldn't believe my eyes. What is "looking suspicious." I don't know.

Would I dump him, I would hope I would, but you know things are, sometimes if I say I am going to leave quick, I will end up staying. When 9/11 happened I swore I hated Arabs, now I am married to one. tongue.gif So I am always careful to never say never.

Or as my grandmother always used to say,"Never spit up in the air, because it always comes back to hit you in the face."
