It was a super pain because they wanted an ID with his address, and it doesnt say in his passport and neither on his Honduras ID. And he cant get an Indiana ID right now. I was getting really fed up but then the lady found the outgoing customs paper from when we flew which had his address in Honduras on it. Such a pain for a piece of paper! He called because he didn't know what was going on and thought they denied our visa because it was too soon for them to approved it. I called Dept of State and the lady came back on the line to say congrats your visa was issued yesterday 10/17. That is 2 days after his interview. O.M.G.! haha my poor fiance thought it was rejected and not approved. He just did not think it would be this quick. WE HAVE A VISA!! YAYAYAY!!!! This is so amazing and we have truly been blessed. But when he walked out of the Embassy with the envelope and the visa in his passport, it was so worth it! We fly to the US tomorrow!! Yay! Woo hoo!! Safe travels tomorrow!! Skiptex, sending good thoughts and hope you hear that the visa has been approved soon! My honey has his interview next Wednesday. He just bought his ticket up to London yesterday. I already have a ssn and card from the time I worked as an exchange student( a while ago) We went to ssn office to get the name changed and the guy refused to do so and told me you guys got married so you're no longer fiancé but spouse and I won't take k1 but you need to get k3 visa. I told him he was wrong but he didn't seem to accept that. I don't care that he knows nothing about immigration my point is. I really can't get my name changed on ssn?! Before I get a green card? I don't understand it. You may want to post this in the AOS forum to get a quick response. Clearly the guy doesn't know much if he's still talking about the K-3! Ross.. has her interview next WED! today.. i was finally able to sent out the NOA3 stuff to her.. its supposed to be there MONDAY!! so my fingers are crossed!! it get there on time!! i sent off everything.. the form, letter intent, letter from boss, tax returns, pay-stubs.. mortgage statement.. appraisal for my house.. 3 months of bank statements.. .. some new pictures from her latest visit.. .. i think thats all.. $100 to VENZ.. You'll want to call the National Visa Center (NVC) with your USCIS case number: (603) 334-0700 From there, check with your regional forum since it can vary on what's next, what you need to send her for the interview. Just got NOA2 within hours of arriving in Florida again this morning. My case just never progressed when I was in my home state! It's not mine and my fiance's thing, nor would it fit with the small number of people invited. I'm just trying to think of reception activities besides eating that my photographer could take pictures of. Hmm...good question! My fiancé isn't a dancer, either. We're just planning to have the ceremony with the officiant and then everyone can eat, drink and get pictures taken. We're planning to do a lunchtime thing, so it will be wrapped up by 4PM. Some other great sites to check out: http://www.rocknrollbride.com/ and http://apracticalwedding.com/ APW (A Practical Wedding) is great because there are tons of DIY ideas and advice available for people like us who are piecing things together as we can. So far, we have our wedding bands and the officiant (a former Brit who married an American!). Everything else is officially TBA, but I will probably order my dress (from Etsy!) by the end of the month so there's plenty of time for the designer to make it. We have the venue identified as well and I've sent save the date emails to friends that say "November 2012?" on them. I thought I had the photographer identified, but then I saw a photo booth offer on Living Social and that made me explore those options as well. The price difference between the two is pretty substantial, but the quality of the photos will be different as well. I know how frightening that can be but if your confident in your petition, you should be alright. Still have a little less than 15 hours of work time left to be positive about. I hope tomorrow isnt as awful as the previous ones To be fair, those denials may be from the folks posting in the main K-1 forum who didn't follow the instructions. What number do you have to give NVC, the Alien # on NOA2 or the EACXXXXXXXX that was assigned to you from USCIS? It's the USCIS case number, so the EAC#. Sabi, I am pulling for you. I hope you get it done soon. What is this electronic packet 3 everyone is talking about? I was thinking, now i call NVC constantly. Get a number, have ben go get his medical done somehow i get a letter telling me a link to packet 3, i then call NVC give them my mastercard for the affidavit of support but, does Packet 3 go to the UK embassy or NVC? Thank you all for your help, I will be thinking about all of you. Will write a proper review later but had a really good experience, no problems, very nice interviewer who asked the usual things (how we met, whether i wanted to work in US, if we'd spent much time with each others families, when our wedding was planned for). I was wiping away tears when she said i was approved and she said "stop it, or i'll start too!". Called Andrew to tell him and I'm pretty sure he will need to be told all over again when he actually wakes up, i think he was sleep-skyping! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Black ink restrictions	I know this is a stupid thing and really shouldn't matter - but wouldn't you hate for them to scan the documents with their fancy "can only read black ink" scanner, which will think that he didn't sign them, and then they'd send the whole package back because you "failed to complete the forms".    If they do that, it's not an RFE, you lose your place in line and it's like you never filed at all. You'd have to start all over.   Just, as my hubby says, "eat the toad," refill the forms, sign in black, send it in, and know that you won't have a problem (with that, at least).	nightingalejules	Female	Canada	2014-01-20 16:06:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-130 and I-845 rejection notice	If you would   we will be better able to comment on what forms you actually need to send and what the costs are associated with them. Are you actually adjusting status from a K-1 fiance visa, or did your fiance enter the US on a tourist visa and then you spontaneously decided to get married and adjust status to avoid the ridiculously long waits on a spousal visa?   If there was a K-1 visa involved, you don't need to file the i130 so the cost is probably the $1070 AOS process. If not, you do need to file the i130 and your costs will be more along the lines of the $1490. You'll also need a medical (for which I don't know the cost - it varies depending on where you're doing it) and police records checks (again, don't know) and a biometrics appointment which I think has its own charge (not included with above).   Also, if you didn't have a K-1, some people will get all judgey about the ethics of getting GC this way. Hi everyone,   I sent my I-129F on the 23rd of Jan and received the NOA1 on 30th of Jan.  Based on my timeline's prediction, I would get a decision by the first or second week of March.  So today just out of curiosity I went to check the status of my case and this is what it displays: "On February 10, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."   Is this my NOA2?  If so I am super excited!!! I wasn't expecting this so soon.  I can't wait to tell my fiance!! Yup, that's your NOA2! Congrats! You'll get a hard copy in the mail that will tell you what to do next!
