I think USPS takes longer to update certified mail delivery, as opposed to Express or priority mail, since there is no barcode. Ah, ok. Thanks William for the reassurance. I was able to put in the certificate number and track it without waiting for the e-mail notification. Have you tried this? Just hoping to find something helpful Thanks. Yes, I've been loggin online at usps.com since yesterday and it hasn't been signed for yet. I'm sure I'm just panicking but I was really hoping to mail the best way possible to get approved this week. I'm over 100 days now...sigh... I'm sure they will get it soon. Thursday by non-express mail...it might just be getting there? I know it is frustrating! hang in there! I mailed back my IMBRA RFE Thursday morning from the city of Laguna Hills Post Office, which is only minutes away from Laguna Niguel, but had it certified with return signature. I logged onto usps.com and signed up for an email notification as soon as someone from CSC has received it. I thought for sure that it would best to keep it in the original envelope for CSC to more easily sort their mail. I've got nothing so far...no email notification! Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: On September 28, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates. Check you status online and see if it says the same thing. If you're running into this wall with them, I'd recommend you get your Senator involved because it's bogus that they have you waiting while they keep approving later petitions. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	THIS IS ABSOLUTLY UNACCEPTABLE AND ABSURD!!!	I've had it, I can't take it any more! Look at E&K's Timeline! May 1996: Met in Mexico March 7th, 2006: Sent 129F to NSC March 9th, 2006: NOA1 June 15th, 2006: Notice of transfer to CSC June 20th, 2006: Last touch I want my RFE!!!!!!!!! March 7th and still no RFE ??? I have read some of this members post and I am SHOCKED! We all need to band together and do something - any suggestions what we could all band together and do? Thank you guysl! I really appreaciate your concern We are really not happy with the way our case is being handled, but unfortunately there isn't much left we can do at this time (BTW Steven_and_Jinky, We have also tried asking for help from senators and congressmen from other states (where his parents live) with no success either- thank you for the suggestion though). Hearing about all the approvals and RFE's being sent in September give us hope since they have to be closer to our case now. I'm not sure we want to think about AOS though And the kind words of encouragement from vj members definitely lift our spirits Has he consulted an immigration attorney? Last touch was June 20th...hmmmm (that's when the RFE's were mailed off)... He should call USCIS and if he follows the right prompts he will eventually get a live person. Here's how to do that - listen to the prompts as if you are calling because you have questions regarding a request for evidence. You will get a live person on the phone. Then tell them that you've been waiting for your IMBRA RFE but never received it, wondering if they could resend it. That's not lying - it's just presuming that they should have sent it by now and that perhaps it got lost in the mail. If he isn't getting any help from his Senators, I'd recommend he ask for the help of other Senators, contact his Congressman. It's essential that he type up a request for an inquiry and explain matter of factly what the situation is. He should print out Gary's list and include that as well. The only logical reason I can think of is that his petition was set aside and essentially forgotten...which is inexcusable. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	The New CSC/NSC/TSC timelines are posted	I see that there are 24 people from March. I hope and pray that they get theirs soon. 6 months is just crazy! to wait! Thanks again, Gary! As elated as I am for finally getting my IMBRA RFE and looking over many people's timelines where most are now getting their approvals soon after the RFE, I'm still dismayed by the number of people that are still left over from March, April and May - while CSC seems to continue to approve July petitions. I'm curious if anybody knows how each petition is handled once an adjudicator is assigned to it? Obviously, the officer must juggle more than one petition at a time because as soon as the need an RFE, they can't go any further with the petition. But for those who've mailed back their RFE's more than a month ago, I'm wondering what the hell happened? Is the adjudicator processing other petitions? What keeps them from 'losing' a petition under a pile, or forgetting about it as petitions pile up? How many petitions are assigned to one officer at a time? Do they have a quota to meet? I just think about your situation, Gary - where you had to get your Senator involved. Once your Senator contacted them, you got your approval soon after. Considering there are still many of us that are further back and still waiting, you're not alone and certainly not forgotten. One of the things that I've made the mistake of is anticipating my NOA2 to happen by a certain date...in fact many dates have come and gone that I thought might be the day. Many of us here seemed to start feeling a bit of relief as we were seeing the approvals rolling out once again, but also it's been disheartening that while July and August petitioners have gotten approvals, there are still some March thru June ones that are still waiting. I'd recommend looking everyweek (Saturday) at Gary's updated list to see the progress.
