You're welcome, happy heart. That's good about you and your fiance calling Delbros. You should be happy now that Delbros is ready to send your docs to the USEM before your interview. It may mean that you don't have to wait long before you receive your visa (after your interview of course). Unlike us whose documents were sent only on April 14, after our interview, and might wait longer than a week to receive our visa. Anyway, I know God is at work, and we will eventually get it. Just be ready with all your documents, be confident during the interview, pray, pray, pray . . .May God be with you during the interview and always.

Hi, happy heart. I was interviewed on April 4, and the USEM didn't even ask for the Cenomar. One of the gals there also told me that they didn't ask for her cenomar either. I'm telling you this, so you won't worry so much about not getting your Cenomar on time. Of course, I don't know if they will look for yours or not, but I think instead of worrying about getting one, you should make sure about the document verification of your NSO papers. Have you already paid and texted/called Delbros to confirm payment for document verification?

Maybe you should if there's a handwritten note near the bottom of the page just right above the instructions (WHAT TO DO NEXT) that says "document verification" - maybe, just maybe, it's the reason why she got the 221g.

call now , say your case number slowly and ask grace the status of your verified docments from nso, she would say, we received your verified documents from nso and the CO is reviewing it, dont make plans yet for flights until you get your visa, call us up again for follow up.. or she might say well your documents from NSO has been reviewed, wait for delbros to text you. so dont be worried if you didnt hear grace say your visa has been approved, she will just say your docs had been reviewed.

goodluck and dont give up , just hit the zero if the machine operator picked up ok..

the nice words i heard from my CO when i asked him if I'm approved and he said "i think everything is OK, just wait and pay for the visa delivery"

I received a PINK slip,. then paid Delbros for visa delivery..

When i got back to the hotel i texted my Chris and he called me,. I cried over the phone and told him about my unpleasant interview experience.. he's very supportive and wished he was here with me...
I hope that the document verification stuffs will be over soon so i could have my visa already before my flight (May 16th)
I really want to be with Chris so bad cuz i miss him like crazy,... I LOVE YOU HONEY

Hi Xhaxha! My heart goes out to you (even if I don't know how bad it really was). I think the COs are sometimes manhid and don't really understand what we go through, how hard we prepare for the interview, and how badly we want this experience to be pleasant and to be done as quickly and as painlessly as possible. But based on a lot of posts here, it's not always easy and fast. Tingnan mo na lang and threads about Doc Verification, sobrang dami.

But you know what's good about the "bad" things/ experiences that God allows us to encounter? It's knowing that yes, as you've said,GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME , even if the circumstances say otherwise. He is the Sovereign God whose purposes and plans cannot be thwarted.

Just take heart and joy in the fact na you got the pink slip and you will soon be with your honey!! You will be able to look back then and laugh about your experience - which I know has made you stronger and tougher. Maybe you needed that experience to prepare you for life in America, hehe. Hi, you already paid for the document verification, right? Don't forget to call Delbros and USEM to make sure they forwarded your documents to NSO. I think it is important that you do that before the interview, to make sure that your visa will not be delayed. See Lotterly_Richard's posts about Delbros document verification for details/guide.

Now, How do I tell my husband that I am going to have a 6 months medication? Where to I start to tell him that I was infected and have a TB that needs to have a 6 months Medication? Worried! Scared! I was so scared more to tell him co`z i was thought there was changes his feelings to me. ( Lesson: Trust you Husband/Fiancee/Fiance with all your Heart and Soul.)

But still I decided to call Him and tell him all what is going on my Medical result, unexpectedly in the middle of conversation tears was flow in my eyes when I explaining him whats going on but my Husband stay clam, listen, understand my feelings, cheer me up those time even I was know his feeling that he was affected too for my Medical result. Lesson: Don`t doubt his Love to you, He loves you much more than what you think think of.. My husband, My Love and My Best friend showed me how what Love more means and ear to listened my depression. I am Lucky have a husband and friend like him.

But, even i realized I am lucky. I still have made a DABDA. Denial= that i dont have a TB. Even I was start already my Medication at St. Luke I still deny that i dont have infected. Angry= to the people at SLEC and God why Me. Every time i go there at St. Luke I was felt so much bad to them co`z I will gonna wait 6 months, expensive to go there everyday just to take a Medicines. Yes, they not allowed you to bring your Medicines you always go there everyday at St. Lukes to take your Medicines and Yes, I was spent a lots of money for my Transportation, most of all you can always tired and inhale the polluted air in the street.Bargaining= my anger was passed and I ask forgiveness to God what all I said to him. Depression= for what happened me. I still have a depression co`z takes so long to me to be with my husband. Acceptance= I calm and wait the God`s will now and believe he plan us the best time to Me and my Husband one day to be reunited again. And 6 months is good for the lifetime Happiness together with my Husband in the best time to reunite again. ( Lesson: Believe him (Jesus) whatever happened your life co`z He was really knows what best you are in this time. He has something planned to you and He was prepared you the lifetime Happiness.)

And Now, Yes Now! I am almost 3 months of treatment and try to move on now with Happiness and Love with husband, most specially faith in God. And I was taken as of now a short course while I having Medication May 2, 2008 will be my first X-ray test and I already lift up to God all what happened co`z he was know what the best to me this time. By my help, support to my Husband and my loving family. ( Don`t give up.)

It's not easy what you're going through (they even require you to go to St. Luke's for the daily meds? Grabe!), and I pray for God's grace, and strength as you continue with he medication. God is still faithful because He has given you a very loving and supportive husband, who will be with you to love you, support you, carry you, no matter what happens.

230pm i got off the fon with lorraine. i know some caught her in a bad mood. when its my turn to call her, i didnt feel intimidated but instead i prayed first and ask God to bless lorraine with good mood.

(i didnt give her the chance to talk biggrin.gif) she said, well miss loterly*** yes your visa has already been printed today and as of now we are preparing the packet as of now and send it to delbros for delivery since you were not approved for a visa pick up. it will take 1-2 days to prepare everything to include on your packet. just wait for delbros to text you in few days for delivery infos.. then i said " oh that is the greatest update i heard ma'am lorraine, thank you so much.. she said youre welcome.. i said "ma'am lorraine will i make you upset if i call again tomorrow for a follow up? she said you may call but just the same you wont get infos from us abt your delivery date, you have to wait for a text from delbros. i said, ok i understand ma'am lorraine and thank you for taking time to give me an update. have a great day ma'am goodbye, and she said "you too bye"

thats it friends, maybe you can try that script too.. just continue to talk nicely coz it really pays well. pray first, i guarantee your prayers can change her mood. smile.gif if she doesnt like giving infos, then instead we give her the infos... dont let anyone initimidate you even if theyre kinda not so nice, but hey cheer up, we r not after with their moods (lets be considerate coz there are thousands of papers everyday for them to process, they get tired too biggrin.gif), we just want to know abt our visa status right?? stay focus. dont get depressed, we can call again tomorrow even if she said next week. let noone stop you from making that calls, follow up pls so u are not clueless..

by the way, dont be discouraged nor worried even if u hear grace said it will take 3-5 weeks, she is just being safe coz she gets all the blame from applicants when their papers are not moving, and sad to say, she also gets grumpy calls aswell, so she would not give you assurance just to be safe that she wont be giving false hopes to anyone..

guess what , grace even told me that it will take me 6 to 8 weeks biggrin.gif but i was done in 23 days starting from the date NSO got hold of my docs to be verified. i never stopped making calls and doing follow-ups, even if she said call next week,, hehehe i would still call the next day.

goodluck to both of you... hold on tighter to God, He knows very well how long it will really take. smile.gif

Hello,

I am preparing n-400 based on marriage.

According to checklist, naturalization on the basis of marriage to a US citizen requires 4 additional documents

I understand 3 of 4 (birth certificate of spouse, current marriage certificate, tax return form) but I am not sure about "proof of termination of all prior marriages of spouse" clause.

My spouse and I both don't have prior marriage history. Our marriage is the first to both of us. In this case, how can I prepare document on proof of termination of prior marriage? Still need to submit any kind of proof? or above three documents are enough?

I guess someone already ask same question, but hard to find regarding questions and answers. =)

I'd appreciated your help.



Since both of you have never been previously married, then you don't have documents/proofs of previous marriages that have been terminated. The spouse birth certificate, your marriage certificate & tax transcripts for the last 3 years will suffice.

For those who applied for a passport did they make you give them the original citizenship certificate? When my wife applied for her passport that would not accept a photocopy and said she must give the original, and that they would return it with the passport. She just received her passport, but the certificate was not in the packet. Neither of us liked the idea of giving the original certificate....

Hello,
I am wondering if it is required for me to have my passport for my naturalization interview? I recently sent my passport off in the mail to be renewed so I doubt that I will have it back in time.

Does anyone know whether or not I will be required to present my passport during the interview?
If so... I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

The IO wanted to see my green cards the 2yr Conditional GC = expired one & the 10 yr GC = current one, my passport & State ID or Driver's license.
