National Visa Center (Dept of State)DS 3032 Form

My husband emailed DS 3032 form on January 17th to NVC. I haven't received any email with IV invoice as of now. Is it normal for them to take this long to go thru your email and enter in their system?

I called NVC couple times and they keep saying they haven't gone thru all emails yet due to how many they receive each day.

Same here, still waiting.Posted Image DS-3032 were emailed last 14th of Jan. I called the other day & they said to wait for 15 business days.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)a quick question

I read somewhere that i need to write our case number on the top right hand corner of each and every paper for the AOS and IV is that true? (for both the originals and copies?--Cos i wont be writing on our MC his BC nor PR... Maybe i misread but now that im wondering i cant find where i read that. :|

I know this is true in submitting RFE documents to NVC. Writing the case number clearly on the upper-right hand corner of all documents.

I didn't write the case numbers on my AOS & IV documents.

Nothing submitted for the petitioner for the DS-230. It is all about the beneficary.

The OP is petitioning her/his parent (IR-5 Category). The petitioner for such category is required to submit original/certified copies of civil documents like birth certificates & marriage certificates.
See link: http://travel.state..../info_3195.html

Petitioner Documents
Who needs to submit petitioner documents?

If you are applying for an IR5 (Parent of a U.S. Citizen) visa, you are required to provide:

  • Original or certified copy of your Petitioner’s birth certificate
  • Original or certified copy of your Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)AOS package

Hi everyone:

I paid AOS fee already today and still showing as in process. Do I have to wait until it says PAID in order to send AOS package to NVC?

Also both sponsor and co-sponsor need to provide copy proof of US citizenship right? or just co-sponsor?
And my wife and I live in the same address, I need to send proof of same residence, ie drivers license of both, or something that shows both names on same address? I've read somewhere but I'm overwhelmed with all the information I forget where I read it :) Sorry for this being repeated. Could someone please help me sending a list of what need to be sent w/ AOS package?

Thanks again all.

It was already established that the principal sponsor is a US citizen when the petition was approved since you have provided the proof when you sent in your petition.

Maybe wait until the next day when it shows in your bank account that the money has been taken out. In my case, they took the money the next day & the status in the payment portal still showed IN Process. But I did wait for a few more hours that day till it changed to PAID. Then I went to the Post office to mail off my AOS packet.

I didn't send proof of same residence for me & my spouse (co-sponsor). I don't think it is necessary. When I called NVC I asked if they reviewed my AOS & if everything was complete. The operator told me that unless a received a checklist I shouldn't worry about my AOS.

I followed what was recommended by VJ Wiki for my AOS Packet(s)

I-864 Cover Sheet with barcode
Your cover sheet
I-864 Signed & Dated
I-864A (Co-sponsor)
3 years Tax Return or Tax Transcript copies
Pay stubs from the most recent six months
Employment Letter
Proof of Citizenship ( Co-sponsor)

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Interview Preparations Questions Philippines

Finally after the struggles of paper work misplaced I got through USCIS and NVC was a lot smoother have to say.
I received the letter today that the interview is scheduled for April 4th 2013.

I have a question my wife already has duplicates of everything since I made sure to pull doubles for me and her of all her original paper work. Going to email my Package of support copy that I sent to NVC since that's the last thing missing.

Do I trust the letter that all the original documents are coded and accepted as original or she should bring hers also just in case?

Also all the bills are paid on USCIS and NVC should I worry about fees at interview is there any not listed ones?

How does the medical exam work how soon does it need to be done? wanting to know from other people that dealt with the Manila embassy to avoid surprises.

After the visa is issued & delivered to the applicant (beneficiary), the petitioner have to pay online an Immigrant Fee of $165. Please check link for more information: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

As for Medical examination, it can be done a week before the embassy interview. But others ( including me) have done it 3 or 4 weeks before the interview appointment.
For a detailed information about the medical examination please see link: http://www.slec.ph/u...l#required-docs
SLEC recommends that applicants register online: http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

Thanks let-it-be!

How about picking up your Visa? In Phillipines they mail to applican't house? I think in Vietnam you pick it up in person, I'm not sure?

In Philippines, we have the options to either pick up the visa in the courier's branch office or have the visa deliver to the applicant's home address. Maybe you can ask this question in Regional forum (Vietnam).

I have a question pls... I sent my DS3032 last april 5th via email my mom's email add, I was wondering how long does it takes for the NVC to get into their system and eventually get my IV fee available as well. Sent my AOS docs as well, do I have to call them to verify the status of my AOS and DS3032? Thank you.....

Can take up to 20 business days or less for DS-3032 to be accepted. NVC will notify the applicant by email. Same with the AOS it can take that many business days as well. NVC will not send an email if it has been reviewed . However, you can find out about both the AOS & DS-3032 by calling them on the phone.

does anyone and this is for the manila embassy, does anyone have a good idea,if we have our case closed from the nvc at least by the end of april or before, that we would get not only an interview date from the nvc?but also would we get an interview date to actually have an interview scheduled to attend around 30days after case is closed?im praying for this, but any input would be appreciated!!! :help: thk you

It can take upto 1 or 3 months from case complete till the interview date.

Immigrant Visa Appointment All case processing for Manila, including appointment scheduling for immigrant visa cases, is generally done at the National Visa Center (NVC) in the U.S. An applicant’s case number does not determine his or her position in the scheduling queue. Once a case is current (i.e., priority date is current for processing), and is “documentarily qualified”(i.e., all the necessary, completed documents are received at the NVC) , the waiting time for an appointment date is approximately one (1) to three (3) months.

Hi Guys,

I am preparing I-864 Packet for my spouse. There are some questios arising as I am going further.

I applied for my spouse ITIN number 3 days ago. Is it okay to send i-864 form without ITIN number. also what proof should I provide for 2012 Tax return ...We filled 1040EZ along with ITIN application.

Do we need to include original Tax Transcripts received form IRS or Photocopy is fine.

Basically I have below documents for my I-864 Packet: Please let me know if anything is missing:
Cover Letter
Barcoded Cover Sheet(Will print it after my AOS bill shows paid)
I-864 Filled and Signed
Filled W7 form for Itin and 1040EZ, and w2's (since i have not received ITIN number)
Tax Trancripts for 2011 and 2010
Last 6 Months Paystubs
Employment Letter.
I am not including Bank Letter as I have enough Income to support my Petition.

Thanks for your Continous Support and Guidance..

What makes you think this is fake? You should receive a hard (mailed) copy of same in a few days, confirming that it is real - You can call them and confirm that it is real - but by no means should you assume it is a fake. Good luck.

I haven't received a single mail (hard copy) ever since the case(s) were being processed in NVC. Sometimes they have different people working on the petitions/cases.

I received two false checklists,
(1) For my dad's case, that they are waiting for the choice of agent email. When in fact the day before that they sent the applicant an email of the acceptance of the choice of agent.
(2) For my mom's case, that they are waiting for the IV Fee payment. When in fact. I only received the IV Bill like less than an hour ago. Posted Image

Don't worry about the checklist. Your IV packet is still in the NVC mail room & has not been reviewed yet. In my case, it took them at least less than a week to review mine. I sent it Feb 4. I called a week later & they told me the case is complete.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Case Complete, when will be the Interview appointment?

Do they email you case complete date or you have to call to find out?

Yes, you can call to find out if it's case complete.

Yes, NVC will email you (petitioner) & the applicant that they completed it's processing of the petition and that an interview appointment has been scheduled for the applicant. This is the "Interview Appointment" letter that the applicant needs to print & bring to the medical examination & interview in the US embassy. It will list all the documents that you have submitted to NVC & what documents you may need to bring for the interview. It also has instructions to go visit the www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov to read more about the interview preparation instructions.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC: info on time between IV submission and case complete

I think this part is a #######-shoot just like anything else in this process.  To give you a reference point though, NVC received my IV packet on 4/17 (AOS was already approved) and the case completed on 4/29 (9 business days).  I had to call to find out though.  I called every day after waiting a week, and each time they said to me 5-20 business days processing.

In case you didn't know...if you are waiting for a notice that your case was completed, you won't get one.  The next notice you will get, is an email saying you got an interview date (and who knows when that is).

I also didn't get a case complete email from NVC. My parents (applicants) & I (petitioner) received only the actual Interview Appointment letters (email).
