Hi, Roserick. I know you're just being realistic and I understand, but sometimes it turns out or sounds like your being so negative. I hope your sense of humor is still intact after the delay (was it 8 weeks) of your visa. Be thankful you already have yours and please do try to be more positive. It helps us who are still waiting.

PhilippinesDelbros may not always deliver, but God always do!
Hi Everyone! My fiance called USEM this morning and he was told that my visa was printed yesterday and is due for release after 1 pm today. Tonight, I got a text from Delbros for the delivery of my visa. Yehey!! kicking.gif Finally!!! All praises and honor and thanks to God for His goodness. I think I'm the last VJ memeber from April 4 batch to be issued a visa. I may never understand why, but all I know is God has been so good in allowing me to experience this because the difficult journey has strengthened my faith in Him. I learned to trust Him more, and I learned patience and perseverance.

I've also met some wonderful people here at VJ, who I hope will continue to be my friends even after the visa process is done. My special thanks to Lot for being an angel of hope and encouragement. My hats off to you friend. good.gif Thanks to all VJ members too who take the time and give extra effort in helping others (Like me) with their concerns/problems/doubts, etc. May God bless us all in our respective journeys.

For those who are still waiting, take heart and know that you are not alone in your journey. God knows what you're going through and He knows when is the perfect time to deliver. Delbros may not deliver in time, but God always delivers . . . in His own perfect will and time.

Visa Fee at BPI of course - $131.00 or P5,402.00 based on last month's rate
Medical Exam Fee - about P7,500.00
Delbros (for Doc Verification Fee) - P650.00
Plane Fare - if you live in the province
Hotel and taxi - if you live in the province
Some other miscellaneous expenses for pictures, etc.

I hope this helps.

Please, to the couples that have been in AR for quite some time... I feel your pain. I only wish and pray the arrival of your visa very very very soon.

But, I am trying to be very patient. Zandy paid her fee on March the 26th I believe.. and her documentation verification was finally sent on April 28.. not the 14th like she was told.

I know several of my very good friends that had interviews in early April.. are finally getting visas today or tomorrow or soon.

But, what makes no since to me at all is..

Girls that paid the fees in early March and had interviews around 4th and 5th of April are still waiting on the visa..

But Girls that paid the fees in early April and had interviews just days ago are getting text and receiving now.

I can gripe and say it's because of the Philippines..

But, as many of us here know.. The US government is well known for this type of handling.

I love my country as much as the next guy. But come on....

I again pray that the girls that have been waiting for quite some time to receive very soon.. God Bless you.

I echo your prayer, Mike and Zandy. Just hold on a liiitttlle bit more. It will surely come. May God look with favor on you both and on those who are waiting, and grant the printing and delivery of your visa NEXT WEEK.

Thank you Mike_Zandy. I was actually wondering about the same thing myself. Don;t they know about FIFO - First In First Out? I don't like to use the word unfair, but . . . as we've already known, it's not WHEN PAID the fee, but when Delbros actually sent the docs to NSO. I remember Lot, telling me the reason (maybe) why we are in AR is because other gals needed to know how to avoid the doc verification hole we are in right now. I still thank God even in the waiting and the frustrating situation because He teaches us a lot of things - patience, trust, dependence on Him, etc. Those are things that you don't learn when things always go the way you want them to or when things just come easy. I also pray that you hear from USEM/Delbros soon, and will be a little closer to being together forever smile.gif Hang on my friends. You are not alone.

VJERS... i wont share anymore my interview experience coz all of us have the same experiences. ill just share to you how i got my visa with no sweat at all, no worries, no fear, no doubt and not once did God failed me coz i always make it a point to concentrate more on helping how others can get their visas. to tell you honestly, im spending more of my time sharing infos, inspiring people, praying for them, answering private msgs, answering fon calls than thinking of what i can do to speed up the release of my visa. it's much easier to think of others than to think of myself, i dont need to think of myself anyway coz i do believe that im already in good hands, I FEEL LIKE A BABY CARRIED BY GOD. my close friends vjers here can attest that i even offer to God to delay my visa in exchange of the release of other's visa. unbelievable right? but it is true.

I told you yesterday that my next post is visa-on-hand. Richard said, he would only book my flight when i get the visa on hand...deal is a deal. so i challenged him, ok honey im gonna get it tomorrow... to make it happen, i prayed so hard before i went to bed, i said, dear God.. i pray that You will send me my visa when i wake up. i really need to have it coz the plane ticket is getting higher each day. You are my only hope oh Lord. give me a sign that im gonna have it. amen.

i slept around 7am then i woke up 9am, coz i want to call up delbros and confirm if my visa packet will be dispatched today. unluckily, it wasnt redrose on the fon. the girl who answered my call wasnt that accommodating. so i cry out loud to God again and told Him,God i will not dial the visa delivery dept again after i say this prayer to you. ill just go on answering private msgs and replying to posts.. after an hour, 10am, BELIEVE IT OR NOT...whoooaaa i got another text confirmation from delbros (this is my second text confirmation).. and i knew right there and then that THAT'S THE SIGN!!!

12:30PM MAY 7 VISA-ON-HAND or it's just proper to say REWARD-ON-HAND THANK YOU OH LORD!!!

ISN'T THAT A MIRACLE???!!! ISN'T THAT ENOUGH PROOF THAT PRAYERS ARE POWERFUL???!!!

In behalf of my friend she wants me to ask these questions here in the forum. I wanted to help her but I don't know the answers since I'm still in the Service Center stage.

Her situation is like this;

Four years ago she met (online) this American guy that is paraplegic. They fell in love & everything. He decided to petition her thru Fiance Visa & hired an immigration lawyer to help him waived the "meeting in person" requirement. She sent photocopies of her Birth Certificate & Biographic Data of her passport to the lawyer and of course Letter of Intent. She doesn't remember if she actually did fill out G-325A form. Anyway, her boyfriend didn't keep her updated about the progress of the said petition. A few months later something happened & sad to say their relationship didn't work. She is not sure if the guy canceled the petition or not.

Her questions are:

1. For DS-156 Ques #36 -- Has anyone ever filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on your behalf? Yes or No

What should be her answer? Yes or No?

2. What if the petition was as at NVC (stage) and forwarded to the Manila US Embassy before he canceled it. Would it still be in their database uptil now?

Would this cause problems if her current American BF files for Fiance visa for her?

So, if the new bf can petition her & their case is approved & reaches Manila US Embassy. For her interview, would the CO in Manila US Embassy closely scrutinized their case if she honestly tells them she doesn't know that the previous petition actually reached that said embassy? Would she be outright denied?

helpsmilie.gif Thank you for those that would take the time to answer these questions.

Hi! I think she got the correct one because if she request an authenticated bc or just birth certificate, NSO will still give her the same.

What I meant with my above post was, it is not NECESSARY to get a "Authenticated" Birth Certificate from NSO.

US Embassy will accept NSO BC even if it is wasn't authenticated.

If the applicant prefers to prove the authenticity of the NSO BC document. Then by all means he/she can do that. It is such a minimal additional fee anyway to have it authenticated.

Hello,

I hope someone can help. My fiancee is in the Philippines and is about to receive the packet for the rest of the K1 visa application process. She lived in Japan for 3 years and will need to obtain police clearance. The Japanese Consulate told her that she would need a Police Clearance Request Letter from the US Embassy. Has anyone else been through a similar process, is there a form or letter she needs to request from the US Embassy?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Police Certificates

Available. Japanese police certificates will not contain information about criminal convictions when:

1. The period of suspended sentence has ended;
2. The penalty of the crime was a fine, and the crime occurred more than five years ago;
3. The term of the prison sentence ended more than ten years ago; or
4. The conviction was vacated or the criminal was subject to a pardon or amnesty.

Persons convicted of crimes in Japan may obtain court conviction records indefinitely. The headquarters' records section of the Metropolitan or Prefectural police issues certificates which include a nationwide criminal records check.

Applicants Physically Present in Japan: Foreign nationals holding legal resident status and Japanese citizens must apply in person at the Metropolitan or Prefectural police headquarters having jurisdiction over their present place of residence in Japan. Processing time: approximately 3 weeks.

Applicants Outside of Japan: Former legal residents, former illegal aliens, and Japanese citizens, should apply at the nearest Japanese Consulate. Processing time: Two to three months.

Applicants Physically Present in Japan as Illegal Aliens: Officially, the Japanese police will not process requests for police good conduct certificates from illegal aliens while they are physically present in Japan. In some cases, however, the police will issue the appropriate police certificate, provided that the illegal alien submits to deportation proceedings and agrees to leave Japan by a date specified by Japanese Immigration.

U.S. Forces, Japan (USFJ): Criminal records of the Japanese and USFJ police are not cross-indexed. Therefore, a crime that occurred in one jurisdiction may not be reported to the police of the other jurisdiction. USFJ applicants, (civilian employees or military personnel, and family members), who are physically present in Japan under the Status of Forces Agreement, (SOFA) must show the results of a check of both Japanese and USFJ criminal records. This type of USFJ police certificate will explicitly state that Japanese as well as USFJ criminal records were both checked and give the results. Processing time: Approximately two months.

Other USFJ police agencies issue a police certificate stating that only USFJ criminal records were checked. Processing time: Approximately two weeks. Such applicants must then obtain a separate Japanese police certificate, as described above.

USFJ police certificates are unavailable to applicants outside of Japan. However, Defense Department law enforcement agencies may be able to determine if an applicant, who formerly resided in Japan under the SOFA, engaged in criminal activity.

Hi, It's been a week since your April 4 interview. So, did you get your visa already? I was also given a white slip of paper with a handwritten documents verification on April 4, btw. . .

May God bless you more and give you the visa very soon coz youre worthy of your prayers to Him.

Thank you, Lot. You are a source of strength and encouragement. To all those who are waiting, I pray God will grant all our prayers for a speedy release of our visa (especially for those who already have flight schedules, wedding date, etc.)

Philippinesfor those waiting for their VISAs
Hi to all those who are on detour or delay. Like you, I am also waiting formy visa. Was given the infamous white paper with handwritten document verification note. I paid 3 weeks before the interview, not knowing that we need to "make kulit" Delbros and ask them to do their job smile.gif So, here we are, waiting for the document verification to be done before we get our Visa.

I'd just like to share with you something that I hope will encourage you and give you hope as you wait. Remember, "In all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose" Rom 8:28

Take heart and put your trust in the Lord, for He is faithful. His mercies are new every morning. smile.gif

Detours

When Pharaoh let the people go, "God did not guide them by the road towards the Philistines, though that way was the shortest.... God made them go round by way of the wilderness towards the Red Sea" (Ex 13: 17, 18 NEB).

The direct route would save time as well as wear and tear on the people, but God had something infinitely more important than economics in mind--He wanted the people to be able to sing the song of praise of chapter 15--"The Lord is my refuge and my defence...my deliverer. He is my God and I will glorify Him; He is my father's God and I will exalt Him" (Ex 15:2 NEB). They sang this song because they had firsthand experience of God's power and deliverance. Pursued by all the chariots and horses, cavalry and infantry of Egypt, they had passed through the Red Sea in safety and seen the enemy drowned. They would have missed this glorious lesson if they had taken the short road.

When we are puzzled by delays and detours, let us think about the great purpose of life: to glorify God. The lessons He wants to teach us "in the wilderness" are priceless means of providing us with a song we could not otherwise have sung: "In Thy constant love Thou hast led the people!" (Ex 15:13).

yipeeee congrats!!! at least the long wait is over for both of you. i wish u more luck on your next journey. TO APRIL 4 VICTIMS, WE ARE NEXT IN LINE, SO HOLD ON TIGHTER. LETS PRAY HARDER. START PACKING OUR BAGS!!!

guamcouple's experience only proves to us that it wont be more than a month to wait. they got it in 28 days right!!! MIRACLE DOES HAPPEN, WE WILL BE SURPRISED THAT WE MIGHT GET OURS IN LESS THAN 27 DAYS, hehehehe right guamcouple?? so cheer up april 4 "victims" and to all who are aswell in doc verification.

Hi Loterly Richard. did you ever call DELBROS OR USEM to inquire the stats of your visa/doc verification? I did today and the guy at the embassy told me my case in "under review" and he wouldn't tell me or know if it's because of the document verification. The Delbros guy told me they will forward my papers today (just today, mind you) to NSO. Now I am starting to get worried . . . the guy at the embassy told to call after 8 weeks 'coz it would take that long for cases "under review".

I hope to hear about the status of your case since our interview date is the same - April 4. Have a nice day!

QUOTE (in_love_with_him @ Apr 8 2008, 09:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
hi there..sorry for being annoying....but did theUSEM get a copy of your deposit slip from metrobank when you paid the document verification? they just asked me if i already paid the fee i said yes and offered a copy of the slip but the consul said its not needed.....so which is which....do they need it or not...or the question is...does USEM really knows the process of that document verification thing?

God bless all....

Hi, yes the guy at window 37/38 did get the copy of my metrobank deposit slip. I paid the doc verification fee 3 weeks before my interview. Delbros just sent the request (with my name included) from USEM to NSO yesterday, April 14.

PhilippinesIMPORTANT INFOS FOR THOSE ON AR
QUOTE (Loterly_Richard @ Apr 15 2008, 10:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
as soon as we confirmed that our documents to be verified were submitted already at NSO, after a week or 2 (if there's no problem with your documents) it should be released from NSO according to Robbie at delbros, then the papers go to usembassy, and we can do the following to know if our visas are ready for delivery:
1.) call USEM (the one for free and the one with payment) and ask them your visa status and tell them that your documents were confirmed to have been submitted to NSO 1 or 2 weeks ago and you will ask them if they already have the result and when it will be delivered to us. tell them the exact date that our documents were submitted to NSO (like for instance, mine was april 14 and that was confirmed by robbie coz im on the list)
2.) or for those who cant contact usem, we might aswell keep calling delbros 3392761 but ask for extensions 127 or 118, these 2 numbers are in-charge for the delivery of our visas. they are nice people there like robbie, they will answer your questions nicely, if they have your visas with them, tell them nicely that they have to deliver them at once.

thank you for reading. i hope these infos would really work for all of us. but then again thers no harm in trying "patiently"

keep on believing!

Thank you, Lot. We'll keep believing and hoping, and praying! Mine was also forwarded to NSO on April 14, as confirmed by Robbie (nice accomodating guy). I like the fact that we actually do something - calling, follow-up, etc. while patiently waiting, hehehe. I tried calling NSO yesterday, but the number given to me was busy all afternoon, so I emailed the head of the division in charge of the docs verification. I don't know if I will get anything in reply, but as you said, there's no harm in trying patiently smile.gif

God bless you and have a good and godly day!

Thank sooo much lote.. you are so nice to me not just me but to everybody and for sure you will get your visa soon i knew it!!.. yes god is soo goooddd.. im so happy! i will not stop praising him until i feel satisfied..

i will not stop praising him for sure!! coz i know i will not feel satisfied coz he is very good..

Hi true, you can start praising and giving honor to Him by "capitalizing" letter G every time you write God's name smile.gif Maybe you're not just aware of it, but I noticed that you type god (everytime) instead of God. He is not just an ordinary god, you know. He is God - King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and I'm sure He will be pleased if you honor Him with your words. Thank you and I wish you well. Congratulations again smile.gif
