I've seen others getting IV invoiced a day or a week after the choice of agent has been emailed. I know it's only been 8 working days since ours been sent (Jan 14th). Who else is anxiously waiting for theirs too? Posted Image

Thanks Let-it-be,

I just called NVC and NVC person say if my mother is no longer then mother original dead certificate will be fine and do not need marrige certificate. Let me know know if you or anyone has something else ?

That is good to know that you already called them about it. Posted Image

Don't forget to include photocopies of each of your certificates ( Birth certificate, dead certificate etc.)

Have you seen the DS-230 cover letter sample here in the vj wiki? If not, here it is: http://www.visajourn...30_Cover_Letter

if you are sending transcripts paystuabs are optional but its always good to send them for good measure. peole advice pciking random months that span over 3,6 or 12months, that is just picking a few that represent different months within a certain range

I just received another NVC email today in response to a question I asked on 01/09 abt when to make payments. so it appears they are responding to emails sent two weeks ago this week. so most of the DS 3032 emailed that week will be accepted this week am sure :)

Emailed it Jan 14, I have a week to go then. Posted Image

I replied to your post earlier but my computer froze & I couldn't post it. Posted Image

Below is my timeline:

Filed: Oct 3

Dad's
Dec 3 - approved
Dec 10 - received by NVC
Dec 31 - case # assigned (took 14 business days)
Dec 31 - DS-3032 & IIN invoiced received

Mom's
Dec 14 - approved
Dec 27 - received by NVC
Jan 11 - case # assigned (took 10 business days)
Jan 14 - DS-3032 & IIN invoiced received

Have you asked NVC what is the date they received your petition? You can start counting from the date they received it. That is their standard 10 to 20 business days process.

I am going to print form without bar code which has thumb impression. I will generate bar code mention in VJ and paste barcode then scan and email NVC and mail and see works.

Good luck. Posted Image I wish I did that. I re-sent (email) mine just awhile ago.

I have DS-3032 already thumb impression received from my father some time in December. But it does not have bar code on top of form. but has "Please case Barcode Strip Here Before Mailling to The National Visa Center". I thought I can generate bar code using below website given details. But Barcode generate very small and it does not cover whole Text box on top form of DC 3032.

I just got my case number from NVC yesterday so I do not have DS-3032 generated yet. but thought I can sent out DS-3032 in email.

http://www.visajourn...de_instructions

Type in the case number under "Data to encode."
Under "Barcode symbology," select CODE 39.
Select "No" for "Add check digit"
Select "No" for "Add check digit to text"
Select "YES" for "Show text below barcode."
Change the "X dimension" (bar width) to 0.05
Change the "Barcode bar height" to 0.5.
Click on "Create Barcode."

I used the VJ DS-3032 template & emailed mine without bar codes. I still haven't heard from NVC though.
I have heard of others sending it both ways, mail & email. I am taking my chance by just emailing.

Honestly I emailed another DS 3032 on 01/14 ( yes I am EAGER TO GO :) and that is the one that was accepted on 01/15( you knw from the email they responded to). The one we emailed 01/09 was accepted 01/18!!!!! so we gained at least four days cos we probably wouldnt have mailed out the documents by now with that date......of course it can only be GOD.

Oh, I see. I emailed from my parents email accounts that same day too, Jan 14. Is that the auto-response email that you got the next day (01/15)?I am now tempted to send again. Posted Image

janelle it will come but honestly, i learned that if one leaves NVC your case may drag a little at each stage. so I always called them after every stage and innocently acted confused why I cant pay my AOS bill or IV bill etc and each time the person would reply " let me see and then come back to say "it is because we have not invoiced you yet" and I go "oh, thank you, have a good day/night" and next day or same day I was invoiced.

This is week is yours though : )

Oh, I might do that later when I call NVC. I'm still waiting for my IV invoice(s).

Looking at your timeline, I can see that you got the IV invoiced a day after they acknowledged/accepted your DS-3032.

when where you invoiced for the IV bill? i am waiting for ours. apart from checking my email, I also try the payment fortal frm time to time and right now there is "database error" so I cant sign in. I want to see that as good sign that they are updating my file :)

I hope so too, that the reason for such error was because they are updating our case in the data base.Posted Image

No. once you have your cover sheet , you can mail away! and yes if you have been invoiced for the IV, then go ahead and make payment too and send them all out ASAP after a last time check of everything for completeness :)

Yes, I have my dad's AOS cover sheet printed out already. I am going to print my mom's too but the payment portal this morning is encountering some database error. I'll have to wait till I can access for my mom's cover sheet.

I haven't been invoiced for the IV(s) yet.

Nothing functions properly up there. If it did, they would be able to find a way to shorten this process. They do this on purpose to discourage us and hope our relationships fail before the process ends. Its a good tactic but they dont understand how they ruin lives in the process.

I called them again 45 mins after & mom's got invoice. They emailed me the invoice just an hour ago. I'm ready to pay the AOS fee. Posted Image

I do not know this answer. I would think if they have two different case numbers you would have to wait until you have both invoice numbers. I dont want to say this but this might be a NVC question. Or make another new topic with this question.

Okay, I've got a question. I am only required to pay one AOS Fee for both petitions. At the Sign In page (Payment Center) I can only logged in one INN. Here's the thing, NVC still have not sent me my mom's AOS bill invoice. But I do have my dad's invoice. I read in some posts that they paid the AOS & IV bills at the same time. Can I just go ahead & pay both the AOS bill & IV Bill now?

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Question about french birth certificate
Hi Doriane,

If you just recently sent in the I-130, you won't need the French birth certificate for quite a while (the NVC stage). You shouldn't worry about requesting it this early because I believe it needs to be less than 3 months old at the time of your interview. My husband didn't request his French birth certificate until after our NOA2 date and he received it well before we needed to send his Immigrant Visa package to the NVC. I also don't think it will matter whether your birth certificate has incorporated your recent marriage information... we were married in France, so my husband's has been updated to include our marriage, but they are just looking for birth information on the birth certificate. You will also send in your marriage certificate and that will provide all they need to know about your marriage.

Bonne chance!

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Paris Interview: Which Size Chronopost Envelope?
In case anyone has this question in the future... for IR-1/CR-1 visa applicants, you should bring the 2kg envelope. My husband ended up bringing that one, and it was the right size.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)Paris Interview: Which Size Chronopost Envelope?

If it helps, it said on my Packet 4 letter "chronopost envelope: 1kg or 2kg".

I don't think it really matters because what they are going to put in there is not gonna be even 1kg.

In case you still have doubt there is a machine that sells chronopost envelopes inside the embassy (maybe more expensive than other place)

Unfortunately, my Packet 4 doesn't even say anything about the Chronopost envelope. The embassy website immigrant visa FAQ page does say this, though:

Can I collect my visa in person?
No. Each applicant is required to provide a Chronopost envelope (2 kg) for the delivery of his or her visa by mail.

Maybe there is a difference between K-1s and IR-1/CR-1s... I might just tell my husband to get the 2kg to be safe.

By the way, I just noticed that someone else asked this exact same question before and you were the one who helped them too. Probably should have searched that first Posted Image

Thanks, Bruno!

Does anyone else have any experience with this? There is an embassy review that says for IR-1/CR-1 the size has to be 2kg.
