Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionIs this enough documentation?

What evidence do you have of lease or mortgage contracts showing joint ownership or occupancy?

The reason I noticed is because I'm struggling with that one myself. I owned my house 9 years before I even met my husband, and I have not added his name to the deed. sad.gif Call it post-divorce traumatic stress disorder...

Ack.

Maya

PS What Jomo's girl said... good luck and we're right behind you, too!

I would just explain the situation in the cover letter...

yeah it would be ok to stick in a few emails.. but remember it isn't about the quantity of evidence you have but about the quality..

I really think they are more concerned with the co mingling of your finances etc..

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionChange of adress while Removal of Condtions is Pending
https://egov.uscis.g...i/go?action=coa

you can change your address online now and it changes your address on most pending cases....

QUOTE
How Do I Report My Change of Address?

If you are not a U.S. citizen, changing your address for legal purposes does not change your address on any application or petition pending with USCIS and changing your address on a pending application or petition does not meet the legal requirements of informing USCIS of your change of address. You will need to do both. For most cases, you can now do both at the same time on our website using the Electronic Change of Address tool (available under "Related Links" on this page).

With the exception noted above, all non-U.S. citizens who move within the United States and its territories must submit a Form AR-11 within 10 days after completing the change of address. You can do that here on our website with the Electronic Change of Address tool. If you choose to use this online tool, you can complete an electronic Form AR-11 and notify USCIS to update your address on most pending cases.

If you choose not to complete an electronic Form AR-11, you will be required to obtain a paper Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on the form. This will delay the process of notifying USCIS significantly. Not filing an electronic AR-11 and choosing to mail in a paper AR-11 will not update your address on any applications or petitions pending with USCIS.

Regardless of whether or not you are a U.S. citizen, if you choose not to use the electronic change of address notification, you will need to call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to request that the address on your pending application/petition be changed. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you will also need to complete a paper Form AR-11.

If you are not a U.S. citizen and you have a case pending with USCIS, you will need to do both – call customer service and complete the paper AR-11. Completing an AR-11 does not update your address on any pending case. Also, notifying customer service does not meet the legal requirement of completing an AR-11.

If you mail a paper Form AR-11, we recommend using certified, registered or return receipt mail. This is not currently a requirement of USCIS, however it is advisable to send the AR-11 by a method that will give you documentation that you did mail the form to USCIS, in case there should ever be a question.

you don't need to send in a fingerprint card with the removal of conditions... a few weeks or months after you file the I-751 you will get a biometrics letter where it will tell you where to go to get your fingerprints and pictures taken....

like mentioned above you can file anywhere between 90 days and the day the green card expires.. which with CR1/Ir1 visas usually is the date of entry... but check the card just to make sure...

The OP did not enter on a CR1 visa they entered on a K3 Visa and was approved for AOS on 02/03/2006... so their 90 days would end on 02/03/2008

Hi Friends,
After almost 14 weeks of waiting for the receipt of my I-751 file, I received the file itself which is rejected for an absolutely wrong reason.
I filed for I-751 almost 3 weeks before expiration of my green card to TSC the last days of July (Old Fees) .TSC has sent my file in October to CSC, and now the have rejected it saying that I have filed after the second anniversary of my conditional permanet residency!!!
I made an infopass appointment. Will keep you updated.

that doesn't sound right, hopefully you get it sorted out....

You should have filed 3 months prior to the expiration of your Conditional Permanent Residence card. Three weeks prior was too late.

actually it isn't... you can file anywhere between 90 days and the day the card expires... of course it is better to mail it off as soon as possible but as long as you send it in before the expiration date it isn't too late no0pb.gif

So, Theoretically speaking, if I was required for an INTERVIEW, WHEN would I know. (I know I will receive a letter and instructions and stuff, but I would like to know at what point...after how many days/months after having done Bio and receiving NOA1/extension letter can I expect to receive a call for interview and so having passed that point, I can just take a breath of relief and consider that milestone passed)

Again, Thanks a lot folks for taking time to answer my paranoia!!

I don't think there is a set time or anything... you just have to wait and see....

My green card expires on Nov 25th, 07. I know I am too late, but I was out of the country. Should I send everything via FedEx or USPS certified? I am little nervous and scared for the deadline. Any thing can I do to expedite this? Thank you so much.

Yes you can use FedEx or any other courier service. However make sure you use the correct address, as PO boxes cannot be used for courier services, you will need the physical address. It should be noted on the form instructions to form I751.

pls scratch my answer.... I've looked all over the USCIS website, and while I couldn't even access some parts anymore (error messages all over the place), I cannot find a physical address for the service centers anymore ( unsure.gif they used to be on the website there somewhere, but as said, I can't find it).

Probably best if you follow with the brilliant advise the others have given your regarding USPS express mail.

All the best!

the addresses are listed on the instructions for the I-751.... http://www.uscis.gov.../I-751instr.pdf

I thought there was an address for those people who wanted to send it in using "commercial overnight or fast freight services" but it only shows an address if you need to make an address change... unsure.gif

I don't think you can travel without it..... so you might have to wait till you get your 10 year green card before you travel.... there is a stamp you can get in your passport but I am not sure if you still need your green card to travel, maybe someone else will know better....

as for your lawyer I think he gave you bad info... I don't think they ask for the expired card at all..... they never asked for mine

They take your expired GC away when you go to get your passport stamped. To reenter US all you need is either expired GC and the extension letter or the extension stamp in you passport.

I guess at this point you don't have many options left other then going at your local USCIS office and getting I-555 stamped in your passport.

good luck!
