Oops - the last question should have been multiple choice.

We found out this afternoon that the company is sending Dan to Canada again tomorrow. This time it is right to were his family lives (the first trip was to the opposite side of canada.) We called his family tonight to tell them that he will be there on Monday. They all sounded so excited & happy. Dan has not seen his Dad since he moved down here In July 2005. I'm happy for Dan & his family, but I'm feeling a little left out, I want to go too.
Mitzi

Well I hope you get to go with him. Canada is awesome......lol

I will be sending in our I-751 in April. My card expires May 25/08, my son's on Aug 17th. Can someone tell me the cost for removing conditions?

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionaffidavits?
QUOTE (Pseud @ Apr 23 2008, 09:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I don't think we sent any in at first, and we had lacked evidence such as joint mortgages because when we opened the account they didn't want my name on it because i was 'conditional' etc - they were scared to commit to me because in their eyes my status wasn't secure.

Then we got RFE'ed.

We got about six or seven affadavits from friends - even one from my home country who had visited. One came from a US Navy officer and was notarized. The rest were just statements. We asked them to write it in their own words but to include the information that USCIS request. We also sent in a couple of other things - car insurance statement, one electricity statement with both our names on (that I had called up and explained the situation to the elec company and got them to assist)

I just found out yesterday that 'card production' had been ordered... so, I think it pays to include some. IMO.

I am not saying you shouldn't include affidavits.... but if you have plenty of other evidence I think it is ok not to send them... and like you said you didn't have a joint mortgage so they probably wanted to see more proof......

Pretty simple!
If USCIS clearly ask for them in the instruction do them.
Why take a chance even if others were approved without submitting them.
Anyone that has gone thru all the BS to get to removing conditions should know by now to do what "The Man" ask for!!! headbonk.gif

umm, the instructions clearly state that the following list are examples.... if that whole list is required evidence, how is a person who doesn't have any kids supposed to submit a birth certificate???

QUOTE
The documents should cover, but not limited to,the following examples:
1. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to the marriage.

2. Lease or mortgage contracts showing joint occupancy and/or ownership of your communal residence.

3. Financial records showing joint ownership of assets and joint responsibility for liabilities, such as joint savings and checking accounts, joint federal and state tax returns, insurance policies that show the other spouse as the beneficiary, joint utility bills, joint installments or other loans.

4. Other documents you consider relevant to establish that your marriage was not entered into in order to evade the U.S. immigration laws.

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship. (Such persons may be required to testify before an immigration officer as to the information contained in the affidavit.) The original affidavit must be submitted and also contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you or your spouse, if any; and full information and complete details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge. Affidavits must be supported by other types of evidence listed above.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCONDITIONAL GREENCARD ( I am living overseas)
QUOTE
Expedited Naturalization under INA section 319( B )

You may be able to naturalize without having resided in the United States for three years if you are married to a US citizen who is stationed abroad for work with an American company, an international organization, or a religious organization with a presence in the United States. This is sometimes called "expedited" naturalization and is authorized under section 319( B ) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Your spouse must be "regularly stationed" abroad for you to qualify under this section. Citizenship and Immigration Services has interpreted that to mean that your spouse is contracted to work abroad for at least a year from the time of your interview. After your spouse's overseas employment ends, you must intend to take up residence in United States.

Procedure
Once you have become a permanent resident (for example, by entering the United States with an immigrant visa), you may apply for naturalization under 319( B ) in any part of the country. You select a District Office where you would like to naturalize and file the application with the CIS Service Center that has jurisdiction over that office.

After filing the N-400 application, you will be able to do your fingerprints at a US Embassy or Consulate near you. You have to return to the United States for the interview and the oath ceremony. It may be possible to do the oath immediately following the interview.

so what, people shouldn't include children that are born to the couple once they are in the US then?

what is the harm in including all the children...?? unsure.gif

no one is denying the fact that you should list the children that are removing conditions with you...

why would the form say this then if it didn't want you to include children that didn't immigrate with you??

yeah it says "include".. it doesn't say "just include".......

on the actual form it says list all your children...

and like kc456 mentioned you just need to include the petitioner's children not the USC's...
