payment for K-1 VISA

I had a question for those people living in Poland. I currently live in Poland and earn polish currency. The payment for the K-1 VISA needs to be in American dollars. Does anybody have any suggestions how I can get a money order or something like this in American currency? Does anyone know if the government accepts other payments besides check or money order??

Photos as proof of relationship/meeting

Thanks again for everyone who has helped me so far. I do have another question.

When including photos as proof of meeting and/or ongoing relationship when filing the I-129F, what are the rules regarding this? I planned on printing out the photos in a word document. Is this ok, or should i get copies from a developer? Should I name and date them and explain where we are?

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!

Form G-325a

When stating where I have lived and worked in the past 5 years, I noticed that there is not enough room for the long-lettered months (i.e. january, february, etc.). Can I abbreviate these months. I.e. January = Jan.
If not, what did other people do?

putting together documents for I-129F

I red the following on this website about how to put together all the documents for the I-129F for initial submition. I am having a hard time figuring out how to send it. My idea was to put it in a folder with two prongs on the sides. Whole-punch the documents, add tabs, and secure the folder. Would this qualify? I guess I dont really have a clear understanding of how to put the documents together. Anyone have any good tips, or suggestions - or can anyone tell me what they did??

filling out forms

My fiancee swears that when she filled out tourist VISA applications with the embassy in Krakow, they asked her to fill in EVERY box with "none" or "N/A". For example:

Former wives/husbands Family name first name date of birth date and place of marriage
NONE NONE NONE NONE

Is this correct? or should we only answer "none" for the first questions, and leave the further details blank?

co-sponser form I-134

I am an American working in Poland and I make about the minimum required by the states to support someone (18k-right?). It is not for sure since I am a teacher and my income varies. I am getting a sponser just in case.

I have a question about question #11 on the form. It asks the sponsor whether or not they intend to make specific contributions. Does it hurt me if my sponser puts "no"?
I am following the sample document where the person didn't "x" a box, but put: "N/A ( K1 visa process for permanent residence )"

My finacee and I are saving a lot of money and wont really extra assistance. I am just asking for a sponser to be safe. What do you guys think??

I-134

I am currently filling out the I-134. My situation is this: I am an english teacher living in Poland with my fiancee. I am an american citizen, she is a polish citizen. I asked my mom to fill out the I-134 (because I dont currently have a lot of money in the bank, nor a job in America).
My questions:
1) Should I have my mom fill out one of these forms for each of us? (one for me and one for my fiancee)
2) Can (or should I) used polish characters on these forms. (I noticed on the other forms they only want you to use the native characters in the specified places)

I was in Poland from the middle of Dec 2005 - July 2006 traveling and spending time with my fiancee and brother, and then oficially moved to Poland in August 2006.
Since I was pretty much living with my brother at this time, should I list this under "residence in the last five years," or should I put my registered address in The states for this time period?

I am almost ready to send off my packet for the I-129F, and ready to begin the long journey.
I have one more question: Do I need to include the I-134 in this packet, or is this only for the interview?

I-864 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

We are adjusting my wife's status after our marriage.
I had some questions about the I-864 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT:

1) Do I need to have the document notorized?
2) #25: Federal income tax return information:
I was living in poland for the past three years.
the first year (fiscal 2005) I filed because I also worked in the states
The second year (fiscal 2006) I didn't file because I only made the equivilant of $10,000 all overseas
The third year (fiscal 007) I filed.

Should I check the first box and include information?
Should I provide a letter explaining why I didn't file in 2006? Should I get some documentation from my previous employer during that year?

changing address online - maiden or married name??

My fiancee was granted the k1 visa, she came to the states and we recently got married.
I am moving across country for a job and we now have to change our address. We just sent our adjustment of status forms (I-485) two weeks ago.
Which name do we use when we update our address online? Do I use her maiden name (the one that is in their database), or her new hyphenated last name??
Also, do I need to change my address with the USCIS as well??

My language is not very well... but I have an important question

I'm a Pole, my husband has double nationality ( Polish and also American). We got married in Poland, and now he is in the USA. We want to live together.

We started to paper works in August-in the USA, yesterday we got a NOA1 after 2 months. How long it will be to get NOA2?

Waiting so long for a NOA1 is a reason to worry? Could it mean that we will be waiting for a very long time? Embassy in California is looking after it.

I have only 19 yeras and this situation made me a lot of stress...

From the first step it keeps 5 months... it is very long journey. I'm hope that NVC works faster...

everybody says that people wait for NOA1- 1month, but we have wait 2, for NOA2 more than 3 months...and it is only beggining of journey...

I have another qestion:

I'm not sure that I will received mail with Choice of address and Agent ( it is so far away from the USA).
in my husband mail (ds-3032) is adnotation:

"While only the applicant can sign the DS-3032, you may send or fax a copy of the enclosed form to the applicant, if you learn that he or she has not received it. the applicant can then complete, sign, and return the DS-3032 to NVC"...

Maybe we should't wait and do it now? Not after long waiting for ds-3032... because mails from the USA could be in Poland after 2 weeks...

we was always using roman alphabet without polish letters on all of the forms. i have used roman alphabet without polish letters even on the forms for the interview in warsaw embassy.

Putting the I-129F package together

- We are submitting both a copy of birth certificate and copy of all pages of my fiancee's U.S. passport (I'm the beneficiary). That's because I think the Indiana Birth Certificate she has in her possession is the short one, so just to be on the safe side, we send the passport copy as well. Now the question is - should every passport page copy be signed by her? Should the copy of the birth certificate be signed? Should they also be dated?

What recepites?? The copy of the lease is ok. You dont need to sign it extra.

- We have also put a few pictures of us (in color) as evidence, writing the date and place of given picture being taken. Should the pictures be signed?
Write on the back of each pict: date, people on the pict and place take it.

It is good if you have some leeters from friends or family about your proof your relationship.
the evidance need to proof that you are togheter to get marry not you just you know each other as a leasee and tenant.

Maybe you have a joint accaount...

the best way to find out what to do - call the us embassy in moscow; they are very helpfull in every country

i was paying in the us embassy in warsaw before my interview for K1 in Poland. they have the cashier inside the embassy (the immigration section)

So true is that I don't need this certification. Why I wrote I stayed there so long? I just simply didn't remember, it was quite a while ago and I traveled a lot.

I made an effort. I checked all the stuff on Italy on the USA embassy website but the thing is that Italians don't respond to emails I send to them and their website is just in italian, it doesn't even allow google to translate it into english. Thing about Italy is that they don't speak english. So yes, it's difficult to obtain those documents while being abroad.

Anyway thank u for response, I think I'll just prepare a new g-325a and admit that i made a mistake and gave them the corrected one. I'll also do my best to get those certifications from Italy. I was just concerned that the person who will interview me won't even feel like listening to me and deny me because I made a big mistake and won't even give me a chance to explain everything. U all know how stressful all this stuff is

Big mistake on g-325a?

Hi!,

I think I might have a problem. When I was filling g-325 for the K1 fiance petition I made two mistakes. First mistake was that I didn't write down one of my past employers. I also stated that I stayed in Italy for 14 months, but the true is I didn't stay there for even a year.I'm not really sure what to do, because they require us to collect criminal records from all the countries that we lived over a year so should I try to get those criminal records (it's almost impossible to get them) or there is a chance they won't even ask for them since I'll have to fill DS-230 before my interview and once again write down my residency/jobs from last 10 years. Do people in the embassy even look on g-325a or they just care about ds-230 and ds-156? I might have a problem If they will notice that I wrote different things on both applications? Is it even possible to explain them what went wrong?
I'm kinda freaking out so I would appriciate any help/advice.

Police records from Italy from abroad

I requested it from my city Tribunale. You may call them and say you need a casellario giudiziario and go there with the "marche da bollo" and documents requested. If I am not wrong it takes two days to be issued. Good luck

Thing is that I have to get those records while being abroad, so I was hoping I could do everything thru mail

Police records from Italy from abroad

Hi all,

I've got a big problem and I can't really find a solution. I'm currently applying for a K1 visa and I started to gather all the necessary documents. I need to get Certificato Generale del Casellario Giudiziale from abroad and I can't find any clear instruction how to do that (what application to send, what are the fees, what should I attach, where to send)
This website http://travel.state....5.html?cid=8984 isn't helpfull at all since It doesn't provide any instructions and the linked website is in italian(not possible to translate using google). I tried sending mails to Italy but they don't respond. Even an italian friend didn't know what to do, she just said that Italian bueocracy isn't that advanced...
I would be really grateful If someone could help me with that!

Police Certificate

From Polish embassy:

"All applicants aged 16 years or over must submit a police certificate from their current country of residence and/or nationality if they have lived there for six months or more. Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least one year. A police certificate must also be obtained from the police authorities of any place where the applicant has been arrested for any reason, regardless of how long he or she lived there."

From USA Travel State:

"Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for 6 months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)"

I would advice you to get certification from all all countries that u stayed for more than 6 months, just in case they ask for it.
