K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Package Sent to Wrong Consulate	Hi, How can NVC send a package to a place where my fiancé does not live there. I called NVC to check status on my K-1 after seeing on DHL that a package sent to Amman Jordan. The operator said that our case is sent to Baghdad. I told her but we requested Amman as the consulate. She said since we could not contact him we sent it to Baghdad his place of birth. My fiancé cannot go to Baghdad, he is Canadian working with US military in Iraq. They live on a US base and cannot just wonder around in Iraq. I asked the NVC how can I get it to Amman she said to send them email asking to see if they can take it and then they can ask Baghdad to transfer. What can I do, whom can I talk to get this fixed. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2009 Filers	Hello Folks, I know I owe you guys some news. As you all know our case was sent to the wrong consulate in Baghdad.. it took us till 1st week of Jan to move the case to Amman. Then Amman decided to review the case, and till I used a visa office in Amman who communicated with embassy we knew they were confused about my finace other special visa application which requires his Iraqi pass. My finace was never able to get his iraqi pass, so he dropped that case, once we told embassy that we will interview with canadian pass they issued us a date on April 1st. I went to Amman last week, and attended the interview, which was easy, the CO asked just couple of question about us, then asked about my finace Iraqi pass and we told him how we tried for 1 year to get it with no luck and that we don't need that pass at all. He then said all papers are good and he does believe in relationship, yet we have to go through this mandatory AP for background check. This can take between 2 weeks till 5 months or more. Once I left the CO office and I started to cry, I was not expecting this since my finace worked for USA army as a department of defense employee for 4.5 years.. in Iraq on a US base... what else of security check they want!! I came back to USA few days, and he is staying these for few weeks , then he will be going to Canada to find a job and wait... I blame myself everyday for not marrying him when he was here in USA when were decided to get engaged, it would had made it easier and now we would be a family. Every day passes by, I pray to God to give me the wisdom and paitent to pass the hours .. I am happy for you who were able to get your visa and now living with your loved ones.. Pray for us.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2009 Filers	Hello folks, Kitty that is great news... Trust me a small wedding will be just fine. My dad wants me to get married in a Church “Catholic" even though my baby is Orthodox, yet because he never got the church divorce i must stick to being married in court. My baby does not like me to wear a long dress, and I had been through 2 weddings arrangement for my brother and sister, I feel buying a nice short white dress would be just fine. I already had my eye on one at the Saks fifth which I am trying to find here in Chicago. It is been a stressful time for us, we finally were able to get the Amman embassy to say that the file is with them, yet we don't have packet 3. We are getting everything together because information is on the embassy website. The embassy said they will contact him or me when they schedule interview. This does not sound promising. Since 3 days my baby started to have a red rash “hives" which is coming at night, but this morning he had it again, we checked everything he is eating and wearing, yet he believes it is only stress from sitting here without a Job. He had this almost 10 years ago when he was waiting for his Canadian citizen and it just went away. I really don't know what to do to make it goes easy for him because I am getting on his nerve as well.. I just want to close my eyes and wake up sitting at embassy office listening for him being interviewed. Congrats to Simon and Janet on the approval... Good luck to all. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2009 Filers	Hello VJ friends, Happy New Year.. I am glad to see many of you got your visa and some already spent time with their loved ones. I cannot complain since my hunny came here on Dec 15th and we been all over place from Chicago, to Dallas to Arizona. We are heading back to Chicago to be burried in snow so I can go back to work. Our file was released on 10th of Dec according to the Baghdad embassy, till today we have not heard anything from Jordan. I called DOS last Tuesday and told me that Jordan yet to confirm if file with them. I am trying to be positive and think that holidays might delay the process, also hiding my worries from my finace since he is on edge because he is been sitting with no work for past 3 months. I can only hope to hear something this week, at least some note to tell me file with embassy, what could be odd it get lost!! I hope you all have a great Monday.. He just came back today and I am trying to put my mind to celebrate the birth of Christ. Finally our file is out of Baghdad and heading to Jordan. It should be there this week. We decided not to use Montreal since they been slow in responding and I am seeing what people are facing of wait. He will be going back Mid Jan, and we hope to see an interview in Feb or march... It was all my fault when I told him to move it to Montreal, we wasted 1 month for nothing.. I would had him here in Jan and started our life.. Ohh well... life goes on.. I didn't need any though. At the end of the interview they treated me like I was one of theirs. That was nice! I will be leaving on December 17th. My port of entry will be Memphis, TN. I will keep you posted and I will keep on being here with you. The journey is far from over and over the last months I have come to know and care for all of you. It may sound corny but it's true. The suprise I got email from Baghdad Embassy indicating that file for my finace is recieved and if I wish to move it to Montreal then I need to request that from Montreal. I just don't understand when DOS said file was in Baghdad on NOv 2nd and now after 11 Days Baghdad says it arrived??? Yet DOS said that packet 3 was sent.. where we don't know.. nothing at his APO location. I pray for some good news.. The hubby went to Arizona today and left me all alone freezing in Chicago...but will look at the bright side. Cause I will be heading there for thanksgiving ON Saturday afternoon we received an email from Montreal indicating we need to submit proof of his current status in Canada and then they will start requesting our file from Baghdad. Since they did not indicate what the required proof is, I had to Google it. I found some stuff, and we sent his landing card, citizenship and passport copied via email. Now it is been since Sunday when we sent it out, yet no response from them I don't know why they are so slow on answering email For the love of God, they don't even take phone calls. I just want an answer if they are ok with document or not. My energy is draining now. Need some recharge to boost my put down expectation? Kitty, Glad you are almost there. So I figured out that there are two people responding to my emails to Baghdad embassy.. the one who put his name under signature name abdallah.. I wish he will get hit by a flying boom.. he is useless and keeps telling me my case is not with them.. I sent to Montreal and all I got was auto reply... My fiance has advised me to not respond any more.. and only work with Montreal. He said to leave Baghdad alone since it seems they are confused, and we know our case with them cause the Visa Center in Washington DC confirmed it is with Baghdad and his packet 3 is sent ( to wrong address). I have sent my replies to the Baghdad embassy and they answered this morning, asking me if I want the case to be moved... Dahhh! Why would he go to Baghdad for interview? Or they are simply crazy.. I just sent an email to Montreal asking them to pull the case. I will see how long that will take. It is cold here in Chicago.. and I can hear my hun sleeping and snoring. I do want this journey to pass in a flash... He keeps reminding me, no one said this is going to be easy.. I wish Musho and Russ to get their approval soon.. I tell you calling the USCIS and NVC get's you no where... the only real person who gave me real answer was the Visa Center in Washington DC. Good luck all.. keep you in my prayers. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2009 Filers	Hello, So just to update... Finally I saw that case arrived on Nov 1st. I contacted Baghdad embassy and they responded today saying that no they don't have the case and they were telling me that internal information are not to disclose by DHL.. blah blah blah.. So I called NVC and explained to the lady the issue. She told me to call the Visa center in Washington DC and explain my case. I did make that call, and the lady said that our case is in Baghdad ( case status is open) and that packet-3 is sent to my finace. I asked which address was it sent and she old me possible the APO address ( military) on his case. I told her but the embassy said the case is not with them and that my finace is now in Canada. She told me to write to them back explain to then that I contacted Visa Center and they showing in the system that cause is with Baghdad embassy. She also told me to request they update his address to the canada address. I just responded back to Baghdad and going to send to Montreal to request they move the case.. I just fed up with this issue.. he shold have listened to me when I said to use Canada from start. I hope all folks waiting for NOA2 to recieved it this week... He went met with them.. and they told him nothing can be done till application arrive in Baghdad. The application been in route for the past 5 days. It has not got to Baghdad yet. I jumped his case .. I know it is not his fault.. I asked him if he questioned his required presense in Amman to sign.. The said may be somoene else can answer our email and say they need us there also... This is just getting complicated day after another I have no more life in me to handle this.. Now Baghdad embassy sent me email stating they have not got the file from NVC yet. I am wondering how long it take for a file to arrive? I will call NVC today and ask for tracking number. Beside the online tracking what other option will be?? I hope for everyone else who are still waiting to get their NOA 2 soon.. I know how hard it is.. but still.. the road just at start.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2009 Filers	Update: I guess I did not sleep at all waiting to call both embassies. - Called Baghdad, I was told they are busy and to send an email asking to send package to Amman. ( I already done so). The lady said to send it for non-immigrant. The funny part, on their website it says if you can apply in baghdad once the petition approved, you need to apply for visa " Out side Iraq". Then why on earth it got sent to Iraq!!! - Called Amman, the lady said to send email to responseAmman@state.gov After hanging up I got this email: "Dear, Your or your husband physical presence in Jordan is required in order to request the file from Baghdad. Once either you or him enters Jordan, please email us and we will schedule you for an appointment to come to the embassy and sign the request form. " First of all he is not my Husband. There is no where on any form it says either one of us will have to sign a request form. Luckly my finace in Jordan, if he was not there, then I will have to pay 1200 dollars just to go sign a paper!
