K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports; Wooohooh!! Go Vermont!!

We're all on the same team. This isn't a competition.

We are all in the "same" boat, but different captains ;)

It's not a competition at all!! But I am just proud that the Vermont-boat I am in is speeding up again.

Why aren't you being a little possitive for us, we were happy for you (CALI) eventhough Vermont was sooo backlogged. Anyways, let's be all happy for each other, in the end it's the same process we are in

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsPersonal Problems
; I'm going to join the club  ..

Me and Aaron talked about it on the phone today... We "argue" a bit more than we used to when we are together and before this whole process.

Like other girls on this form, I do research this all way more than he does, which is fine because he is working his bum off :innocent: . However, we talk every day and the more we talk, the more we say that we miss each other. Which make things worse, lol!!

Like today, I was like so annoyed of my lonelyness and being apart from him. Although i have the luxury to visit him every 2 months. But that doesn't mean I don't miss him less than you all do. I'm just saying that being apart is getting old and that you fire your frustration towards each other without the meaning hurting each other.

We all are doubting a lil more than before we started this process. And we girls are showing our emotions way more often than our guys. LOL! Sometimes I'm like crying and screaming when I'm talking to him, and I tell Aaron that I feel the world is about to end spinning. LOL, he tells me to chillax, and not act like a drama queen  Guys are just not that over-emotional like we are...

But after arguing and talking it out, you'll realize that your love is soooo strong and found the motivation and strength to wait again. Like sometimes, when you feel like crying, you cry and after that, you feel so much better  .

My day, your day, just the BIG DAY will come eventually..

For now, you should read my signature below and you'll feel much better!! :innocent:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFiled in January- Planning to get married in July??
; I think and I'm almost sure that July is out of the question.
As it is right now, it seems like it takes over 5 months still to receive any notice of NOA2. Though, it might changes within couple of months, but not sure.. again.

This I-129F process is very insecure. You never know what or when to expect. Some are lucky and get approved pretty "quick", and the rest among us have to wait it out.

Since you filed in late January, I think you can expect your NOA2 in either June or beginning of July. And it can take a couple of months to have your interview.

So my advice, like others have mentioned, post point your wedding date and wait for your NOA2. And then go from there... Risk is too high at this point.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK1 Wedding Planning -what is/was your plan?
; First of all, it is soooo interesting to read how other people are trying to "plan" their wedding, even though the BIG day is like mooooonths away and still waiting for our dear NOA2. :innocent:

I really like your post, something refreshing :energy:

OK, here is my story  :

I am an October filer and hopefully Aaron and I will receive our NOA2 this March (keeping our fingers crossed)!!! :dancing:

We got engaged last August 28th. And I really would like to get married on the same date, but a year later, this year :)

Because I don't want to feel the pressure to plan the wedding of my dreams, and actually plan this big wedding within the 90 days after arrival in the US with K1 Visa in hand, we decided to have 2 weddings!! There are also other reasons why we have two.

Aaron, his stepdad, his mom and I are going to Las Vegas for 5 days. The first two days, I am going to spend with his mom (girly stuff, like shopping for the wedding, hair do's, nails, etc etc etc). Aaron and his step dad will go gambling (hopefully he won't loose all of his money, lol).

Then we are going to get married in a wonderful fancy chapel, with photographers, official wedding speecher, releasing doves, cakes and all that. Just with the four of us.

Our second, BIG wedding will be on May 5th, 2012, 8 months later. We will get married in Orange, (south) Texas.
My fiance now lives in Pittsburgh, PA for 2 years because of his company.

Our big wedding is going to be huge with around 250 people, his family and my family (my mom, my oldest sister with her husband and their new born baby, my twinsister and her boyfriend and my grandma). (L)

I'd like to have an orange wedding (orange flowers, and orange decorations, with lots of white, since orange is THE color of the Netherlands/Holland). First we will have a garden ceremony, then we all go eat and have some drinks, then it's time to partaaaaaayyy.... The day after we put everybody on the plane, cuz then it's time for our Newly Weds first days and our honeymoon. :luv:

The reasons why we have a small wedding first, just with him and his parents;
* my oldest sister got maried and they just bought their dream house and have their first new born son and their son is too young to travel such that long of a flight.
* my twinsister is in a project, so she can't leave for another 8 months
* Aaron's company is located in PA, so he had to move to PA
* Aaron's house was struck down by a hurricane, so we are planning to rebuild the house this summer. And we're moving back to Texas, but don't like to be stressed if we aren't done before everybody is coming in. And we don't want to fly back and forth just because of the wedding in his home town.

So, thats why we have a small wedding first in Las Vegas after I arrived and have OUR REAL WEDDING 8 months later. -_-

=)) Is it August yet??????????????????

 Igors list is based on the VJ approvals. Maybe there are like 1000 approvals every day, and not everybody has joined VJ, so they can't update their profile, so no more approvals on Igors List. So not accurate at all...

; Anyways, although it's a fact that Igors list isn't showing every single approval, I'm checking Igors list at least 98725 times a day, it's like I'm watching a movie..

Though, my entrance was denied once -last May- and I had to go back to my country. Now that I have strong ties (same documents as your fiance, and copy of our I-129f package, NOA1) I have no problem traveling to the US. I've been there couple of times after my denial, and I'll be going back to the US next month (I go every two months). K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsVSC - No petitions processed on Febr 15 ?

Yes it is true. The Vermont Disservice Center did NOTHING on February 15 and did NOTHING, once more, on February 16.

Somehow, they have this delusion that SEVEN petitions on February 14 is a lot of work, entitling them to coast for (at least) two days and possibly much longer.

The last time they dropped off the deep end, January 18, it was after a long hard day of ONE approval on January 17, followed by FIVE MORE DAYS of ZERO output.

This pathetic level of non-work would get someone fired after just ONE day from any privately owned company I know of.

Yet, at the Vermont Disservice Center, it is a job well done.

There are no words to describe how totally pathetic the Vermont Disservice Center is. They are truly the failure of the century.

Hey All!!

Hopefully the VCS will work on K1 petitions more often/faster, so everybody get their NOA2 very soon.. Also you Al  And I think you're turtle needs a kick on his behind from Vermont so it'll walk a little faster towards your 5 month mark! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHell after NOA2

Actually if you read his first post he did not ask for mental support he asked several questions all relating to why his fiance did all of these "wrongs" to him. The people of VJ were just letting him know their opinion to his questions based on his story. You should not come on to a forum which has a whole purpose for advice and sometimes debate and not expect answers from both sides. I would hope that you do not live in a place where everyone will comfort you and tell you that you are right even if you are horribly wrong.

I read his post, I'm just saying that people can use different words that arent that harsh.

Second of all, I'm glad I don't live in a place where a lot people tells me to "man up", "it's not only about you", "me me me", "man up, princess". Ofcourse, the OP can expect and will receive people telling him what to do, if only some members would chose their words carefully..... It's about respect for each others feelings/situations/problems/etc.

Anyways, I'm not going into this discusion. All I did was showing a point that people do have to respect his broken heart and have some sympathy, although a lot of people thought he was very wrong, don't say hard things like that. This isn't high school, and I thought VJ is about supporting each other. If I was in the same situation and somebody would say "man up, princess, or jerk", then where is this forum going to? That's all.
Channah&AaronFemaleNetherlands2011-02-26 13:19:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsHell after NOA2

This appears to be a case to where the length of K1 process has benefited your relationship as apparently your true colors came shining through. As I see it, her father did what a father should have done. His daughter was about to embark on a journey on the other side of the world with what was thought to be with a man of courage, understanding and compassion for his daughter. What he found was a whining individual who thought it was more important he receive a valentines (???) than understand the heart felt, gut wrenching feelings, of parents and daughter who were about to be separated.

Suspect this type of immature “me, me, me” behavior showed up elsewhere during the K1 wait, tearing at the threads of the relationship and the ultimate decision to leave family and country to immigrate.

This thread will probably be shut down, as I would expect others have little tolerance in holding back on giving straightforward observations and advice. For those who have suggested you “ignore the members who tell[s] you to man up” sorry to say, in my opinion, they are misleading you in an attempt to comfort you. I would respectfully suggest you let it go and move on and don’t attempt to make further contact with her or her family. It appears, you are clearly not the only one in this relationship that has been hurt by shattered dreams.

I'm one of them. All I wanted is not to mislead him in an attempt to comfort the OP. My English is not that good, but good enough to make people understand that all I want to point out is that the OP isn't waiting on comments from people saying him to man up. If he wants to man up, he will, if he doesnt want to man up or can't, then he wont. All I'm saying is that the OP is asking for mental support only to help him through this difficult time. If he wants to receive comments from people telling him to man up, he would do so. But did you read somewhere asking him for comments like that, other than for possitve mental support?

Again, telling him to ignore people who said "man up, princess.. me me me" is so not misleading, it's preventing him from negative energy that some among us throws at him. He will man up, AFTER he can give everything a place. Because most of the guys would man up, because they are like that, doesn't mean that he can or will at this point.

No hard feelings, though!! Like you, I think this tread should be shut down since not many people are willing to give him mental support. He can find it else where from family/friends.

; FINALLY!! It seems like everybody has stopped being judgemental!!

She made a huge mistake for not giving him the information that she was just not ready to make the huge step, he made a mistake with the whole Valentine thing going on.

Bottom line is, yall can point fingers to each other, but people do make mistakes, it's all about forgiving each other in a relationship.

People who said that he has to "man up" are just very judgemental.

All he asked for was MENTAL support, nothing else!! And for some guys here saying to man up princess is just nothing more than pathetic. Every person is different, everybody handels this kind of situation differently than an other person would do. Just don't kick him further in the ground as he is going thru a hard time anyways.

They both made mistakes, LOOK BEYOND that, yall rather look further than the problems and look for solutions to resolve this!!

LIKE I SAID: VISAJOURNEY IS SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPORTING EACH OTHER, and if you don't agree with how the OP has handled the situation, then don't comment at all and only let people who are willing to give him possitive mental support post comments on his topic.

As for the OP: GOOD LUCK, and I truly hope you are going to be OK very soon!! It seems she already has decided to move on, it takes time for you to get ready to move on and find a woman who is ready to love you unconditionally.

BTW. I don't want to sound like Mrs.doctor Phill, but because this is a very emotional ride, all I want to do, is give my two cents and throw out some possitive vibes and optimism!! :innocent:

; I really think it's unbelieveable how you guys tell him to "man up". Is he a heartless robot? NO!!!

Though, I agree he pushed her buttons over this Valentine's Day thing, but getting aggrivated by the things your significant other says or does happens in a relationship!!

Maybe, because of this emotional waiting process pushed her buttons even more than he actually meant to.. Like he said, it wasn't only about Valentines Day, she didn't act happy over their NOA2 after all!!! And maybe Valentines Day was the last drop of water that did make the bucket fall..

Please, don't tell him to man up, he is very emotional, I would be too if I were him!!!

Yall think it's only about Valentines Day, which is not!! Heck, how would yall do if you received your LONG WAITED NOA2? EXTREMELY HAPPY, right?? He was, but she wasn't. That was a very bad sign.

He also stated that he supported her during the whole process and what more. He visited her, he did everything that made her happy, he paid all the expenses, he tried to talk about adjusting and he told her that he would support her during her adjusting period to make her the happiest girl in the World.

He is emotional, don't say anything bad if he is just asking for help how he can go through this terrible time.

If yall read carefully, it wasn't only about V's Day!! Like I said, she must have had changed her mind before they even received their NOA2, otherwise she would be uber-happy when she heard they received their NOA2.

Put yourself in his shoes, how would you react if your fiance(e) would do the same thing, and you asked for emotional support? Would you like to hear those things like "man up" ??

WE ARE HERE TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER!!!!

Why is everybody so focussed on the whole Valentine Situation????

And why isn't anybody looking at the FACT that she didn't show any effection or any sign of HAPPINESS when they received their NOA2?????????????????????????????????? The Valentine situation was after they have received their NOA2, and he was fed up & CONFUSED that she wasn't happy or over-stooooked that they have been approved. I would have my doubts too and think "Am I the only one who wants this?". Love is a partnership, not some one way street!!!!

Look at the cause first!! She has changed her mind BEFORE the actual Valentine's Day situation!!! Everybody knew she wanted to pull this off (her family and friends) before he even knew!!

AND EVEN THOUGH, if he would hold off the VISA, SHE ALREADY GAVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
