K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ANXIOUS!!!!!	I filed for me and my fiance October last year. USCIS received it October 15. Still no word. I've now emailed one of my congresswomen, faxed over a release form (I think it was) to my senator's office to inquire about our case on our behalf, and USCIS now has a service request by me. Nothing yet .... it's kind of scary. Maybe this is how it feels for animals running in herds, when they get separated from the rest of the herd, targeted for the hungry lion's next meal. Forgive me, my mind REALLY wanders late at night when I wake up worrying about our case and why it is still stuck in "Initial Review" God I've gotten to hate that little blue button on the USCIS case status page ( out of curiosity I plugged in the Receipt numbers immediately following our own, and the 2 cases that were apparently received in order right after ours - they are also still in Initial Review. On either side of the pocket of us 3 sad couples, others are onto the next step(s). It is so painful, this process. hmmmzz, you are also heading to 7 month mark !! When did you put in a Service Request? Because they should make a decision within 30 days, if not, you should call them!! I trully hope you will hear anything from them soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ANXIOUS!!!!!	; Thank you for your support.. waiting for NOA2 is getting really a pain in the *ss.. The whole process is about waiting, but I'd like to go to the next waiting game. I am in the US with my fiancee for two months now, but still, we want our NOA2 so bad. We called USCIS April 27th, and this guy put in a Service Request, and today we are going to send our Ombudsman our form I-7001. So, hopefully we will hear something soon. If we get our NOA2 anytime soon, oh my gosh, there is this huge bottle of champaign waiting to get popped open, and my legs are ready to jump high and dance . What's the difference between Ombudsman/Congressman/Senator. Stupid question, I know, but I just want to make sure what either one of them can and what can they exactly do to make a difference to me. We are over the 6 month mark, and other couples who were October 28th filers are already approved. Aaron and I are the only one left. I know what you are thinking, different people, different cases, yadee, yadee, yadee.. That I know, but I also know what people who were in the same situation (over 5 month mark) were very anxious too. Why is it taking so long?! I am sooo scared our case gets denied for whatever reason (maybe it's just the nerves). Last week Aaron and I called together to the USCIS, and put in a Service Request. He said we should receive anything within the next 30days. Ieeejj, it's so terrifying that the decision will be, more than likely, made within this month (heading to 7month mark). I dont know.... And I know plenty of VSC couples who are waiting also for over 6 months and longer. And no, Aaron and I don't see any reasons why it takes so long * I'm not from a high fraud country at all * We both have submitted everything (a lot of evidence since we've visited each other a lot of times) * We both have clean police records * He makes way above the poverty level Ummmm... so, you never know!!!! If it were me, I would wait for another 2 months, and if I don't hear anything from them, I would do the CR-1 Route... It's a risk, and you have to wait again, but atleast it wont be collecting dust for that long again... i hope.. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!! you will be in my prayers!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Share your wedding plans :)	I'd like to share my wedding plans Aaron and I are October filers, so hopefully we'll receive our NOA2 by the end of next month, or beginning of April . As soon as our interview has been approved -crossed fingers-, he and I will go to the US together and get married the same month in South Texas . We decided to get married twice due the fact that my family won't be able to come this summer (bought their dream houses, new born baby and work & Aaron and I are going to build our own house too, all in all we're dealing with a lot of stuff in the same period of time). Anywhooooo , so me, his parents and Aaron will go to either Las Vegas, Houston or Pidgeon Forge to do a small wedding. Just with the four of us. As soon as we get our marriage certificate, we will apply for AOS. A year later, on March 5th, 2012 we planned our DREAM WEDDING . With my dream dress, +200 guests, huge cake and a very lovely location: NEDERLAND!!!!!! This is funny: he lives next to this small town called Nederland (which means Netherlands, though where I'm from ). It has been built by Dutch immigrants a long time ago and they even have a Dutch windmill, and that's where I want to get married. How funny and cool is that . My family -my twinsister + boyfriend, my oldest sister + husband + baby, my mom and my grand mother will come over. Wooohoooh!! I bet this is going to be the most beautiful day of our lives together and it will get only more beautiful from there . And ofcourse not to forget about our honey moon!! Since he has an apartment in Pittsburgh still and we want to build our own house in South Texas, etc, we won't go on a far away trip. So, prolly it's going to be Florida. Like getting a cabin on a beach where nobody will be, except for me and him . These are our plans/dreams for now. Believe it would be best to have the petitioner (your fiancé) talk with the actual officer versus the beneficiary, (yourself). The 1st person on the phone is merely a mouthpiece for what they see on the screen and in documented policy. From my experience, they will not pass you through unless you specifically ask to talk to a supervisor, at which time they will repeat your request to document (I guess). Can’t imagine it is going to be much longer. As a caveat, enjoy your final weeks in Amsterdam; soon you will be leaving a place I personally hold in my heart as being the best places to be in the world! Keep the faith; the real journey will be the one ahead of you! ; Hi!! thank you for your message.. I really appreciate it! I am in the US for 3 months now. My intention was to stay for 3 weeks (planned holiday), but I quit my job because I couldn't leave. My B2 visa is valid til Sept.3rd. However, you might think "oh, you're with your fiance in the US, it must not be hard.. because you are with him".. For people who think that.. That is so not true. I first thought, oh what the heck, I'm with Aaron. I thought wrong Still I have sleepless nights, although Aaron is sleeping next to me. Because at this point, 7 months, is nerve-wracking. No matter where you are. Ummmm, since I am with Aaron, we both called together. And USCIS says they can't do anything before the 30days are over. Because there are a lot of persons out there who wants to come here with bad intentions. The only thing is, is that the waiting (especially this far) is really breaking me apart the past two weeks. And nothing is as sad as seeing people around you get approved within 5 months, and 3 months after I filed. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for them. But it also reminds me that I'm waiting for so long... 5 months waiting? I didn't care much for that, because I accepted it because it was normal processing time.. but now that it's almost 2 months over the 5 month mark, is a different ball game!! I really hope that we are just delayed, and hopefully we wont be denied after so long.. We either have no issues regarding age difference/religious/etc Aaron is 5 year older than I am, he is a Catholic ("light", dont know other name), and I grew up with no religion. Though, we don't have problems with that AT ALL!! We met each other online in 2008 on a normal profile site, I flew to the US several times per year, and he came to the Netherlands a couple of times. We both met each other families. We all love each other and get a long very good! I just sooooooooooooooooooooooo hope a decision will be made by May 27th, because that would be the 30th day after we put in our Service Request. Hopefully everything will turn out well, so i can sleep again (I'm worn out of the sleepless nights) Hopefully things will work out very well and very soon for Monifer!!!! Most likely a decision will be made within the 30 days. If not, we have to call again.. GRRRR!!! 2. we sent our I-7001 form May 5th to our Ombudsman, and we received an E-mail that they successfully received our forms and they are viewing our case. (nothing heard from him, yet) 3. we sent our letter to our Senator last week, hopefully he received it already. We did everything we possibly could. This is soooo nerve-wracking and I really have sleepless nights!!!!!!!! =( I have a itty-bitty of HOPE left, but I'm afraid it will be gone very soon.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	; LOSING HOPE & FAITH	i too am waiting for my nao2..its almost 7 month ...i did a service request last week, my congress man did a request for expedite on may 10th and still im sittitn hear without a na02. im so fustrated and tired. i tired of hearing diffrent bs excuse from the tier 1 at the uscis and im tired of the nasty attitudes of the tier2 ...im am just praying for this nightmare to be over Awww, I am sorry to hear that and unfortunately I have to welcome you into our crappy club . And you are very true about the nasty attitudes of the tier2. They are very arrogant, prolly because they are tired of all the complaining applicants.. oh well .
