He'll tell them that we don't want to wait til Friday, because the weekend will delay it for a couple of days before an expedite will be processed. It's worth a try. We called them on our 6 month mark, why didn't they ask if we want to put an expedite concern our case? Instead they asked if we want to put in a Service Request... " now that doesn't make sense..... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	; 7 months waiting for NOA2	; Hi VJ friends!! I'm hitting my 7 month mark since I received my NOA1 (October 28th,2010). Aaron and I called USCIS and they put in a Service Request on April 27th, 2011. Although we called them a couple of times after our we put in a SR, all they could tell is, is that we have to wait 30 days for them to process our case and make -hopefully- a decision. I'm getting more scared, if possible. Because.... the 30 days are almost over (only 2 more days to go), and we haven't received any kind of notice or NOA2. My question is, if the 30 days are over -this Friday-, what will happen next? I know Aaron&I have to call them. But what kind of steps are they going to make???? Has anyone been in the same position, and what did they tell you when you called after your 30 days of SR was over?? I am soooo afraid they will tell me "denied" or anything. 7 months waiting since NOA1 is very stressful, and I am scared what their answer will be, and curious what the next step will be.. Just saying that he/she might think that he/she got denied because he/she is waiting since December Ummm, well, I am an October filer who got approved 3 days ago.. and still they approve peeps from Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec. And this woman said they will send out the petition to Amsterdam within a couple of days... I hope so.. After 7 months waiting for our NOA2, I don't feel like waiting a month on them before they send it out . Btw, you should call NVC 7 days after receiving NOA2. Signed and dated not too long away from interview date. 8 month old letter is way too old. You can better make up a letter close to interview date (a month of so), because that letter would be more of a proof then an old one. The package 3 is: * DS-156k * DS-156 (2x) * DS-230 (only part 1) The affidit of support form (I-134) needs to be taken to the interview.. You need to send package 3: DS-156(2x), DS-156K DS230(only part 1.) to the US Embassy/Consulate. The I-134 form, affidit of support, needs to be taken to the interview.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 1 Recieved What is next?	; All I-129f packages need to be sent to Texas Lockbox, and TL will decide where your petition is headed next... When you received your NOA1, you'll see where it's sent to and where it's at til NOA2, maybe Vermont or California Service Center. "Initial Review" means that your petition is under background check. This is normal, it is a standard procedure. They will check your I-129f package and see if your relationship with your fiance is real/genuine & if you ARE or WILL become a public charge or not, or if you are or going to become a threat in the US. You will see this for the next 4 to 6 months, until they made a decision and send you a NOA2. Before NOA1 and NOA2, all you can do is WAIT WAIT WAIT . Though, in mean time you can also collect proof of ongoing relationship, such as (tickets, hotel receipts, photo's, chat/phone logs, E-mails/cards, etc.) from the time you got your NOA1. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Should I, the petitioner, recieve anything?	Congrats on the approval. You as the petitioner will not receive anything but the NAO2. The rest is on your fiance. With my now husband, what I sent him was copies of the entire K1 package (just in case he needed any of the information), a copy of the approval, and my affidavit of support. I also sent him some him some additional "proof of relationship" to take with him to the interview, like email threads, phone records and receipts. Good luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	i-134 or i-184	You probably will need the I-134, I believe that is what they are currently requiring. It will specifically state in the packet your fiance recieves from the consulate. Last year for a while they were requiring the I-864 but I believe they have gone back to the other form. If you are just trying to get them done in advance, I would say send both...it couldn't hurt! As for the fees there is a visa fee of $350 (I am not 100% on the number but its close) on the day of the interview...in addition whatever fee's the doctors charge for the medical. I only visited my husband once and we had no issues, I have seen people with lots of visits get denied. You need to look at any "red-flags" that may cause them to scrutinze your relationship more. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Visit my fiance in the US during K1 procedure	Hi everybody!! My name is Channah, and me and Aaron are engaged since 8/28/2010. We have known each other for 2 years. I flew to the US 4 times, and he visited and met my family last may and he'll come back this Christmas. First of all I am really happy he proposed me, and ofcourse I said yes because he is the guy I really want to marry and spend my life time with. L) We are about to fill in the forms and all that, and wait for the US/AMS Consulate to contact us. But my question is, & I know the process takes a lot of time, am I allowed to visit my fiance in the US during the K1 petition. I have had an interview with the Consulate in Amsterdam last june, and now I do have a Visa that allows me to visit my Fiance on a regular basis. However, we just got started with the K1 visa. And I really have to know if I can visit him for 2 weeks or so outta the time. Or does K1 insist that I have to stay in the Netherlands and WAIT til my visa and all got approved?? Ofcourse I do not have the intention to marry him during my visit (otherwise I would've married him during my 2 month stay the past 2 months). Please let me know!!!!! Thank you!! However, there is one thing I am not sure of... In the package that we are going to send anytime this week, to start the K-1 process, has also to have proof in it. I do have proof about our relationship; flight itiniries, boarding passes, hotel receipts, receipt of Engagement ring & pictures.. My question is, do I have to send the original proof in this package? Like the original receipts and pictures?? And what about at the K-1 Interview?? If I send the package with the original proof, I don't have original proof to show at the inerview. So what should my Fiance and I have to do? Send copies in this package and show the original documents (proof) at the interview, or should he and I send original documents in the package and show the copies at the Interview??? I read stories/topics on this website about people having phone records proving that they have had contact while they were apart from each other. Though, they use these phone records as proof, but my problem is............... .... is that me and my fiance don't have phone records !!! Everytime I go back to Holland, we continue having contact through MSN Messenger. We use (read: FREE) MSN video conversation. This is a FREE service, using our webcams and microphones. It really worries me not having these records, how are we suppose to proof the USCIS/Embassy/whoever that we still talk on a daily basis? Why I got denied? 1- I lied about the fact me and my fiance were dating, I told the officer we were just friends 2- The officer thought I wanted to work in the US, since he found a 2 year old job application online (internship). Though I wasn't looking for an internship in the US specificaly, he knew! 3- He thought I wanted to get married!!!! Which I swore to God that I didn't want to get married during my stay! UGH!
