K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDo emails and chats need to be translated?
; They don't really care what yall are talking about, I think, in my opinion, the dates stated when the conversations took place (ongoing relationship) are more important than the conversation itself.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresUpdate from supervisor at Vermont Service Center
; I'm also sure that they are working in one month batches.

They told you that they are working on August 21st filers, but what I do is not to look at Igor's list like most of yall do nor listen carefully to the dates they say they are approving, but look at the the dates (NOA1) on the "immigration timelines" from whom has been approved (NOA2).

And then you can see as well that they approve filers (August-September/1st/2nd week).

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy Sister and I are both applying for K-1 Visas for our Fiances
; I don't think you should worry about that one. They (re)view cases individually, and if, for somehow reason, they do notice, just explain the situation.

And it's a very possitive thing that you two are dating your fiance for so long. I think it would put up a red flag if the two of you were dating your guys for like 6 months/1 year or so. But 6 and 7 years is pretty a long time dating. And I'm sure that if it was really about getting a greencard, you wouldn't have waited so long to apply. .

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMarriage before K1 visa approval!
; If you are doubting to have the visa in hand before your actual wedding date, withdraw your K1 petition, get married and file for CR1. If you can postponed your wedding date, stick to the K1 since you already paid the fee and you're already in the waiting line

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresThoughts on the 90 day ceremony deadline
; Me and my fiance are also planning to have 2 ceremonies.

Hopefully my POE will be beginning of June, then he, his parents and I are going to either Vegas or Pigeon Fordge to get married. NO RINGS!! (we won't tell our friends!)

Then on 05.05.2012 will be our BIG wedding (TX), my family will be flying over to attend our wedding. Ofcourse people have told me, you can plan your wedding 6 months ahead (during K1 petition), but you never know if there will be any problems popping up, exemple putting it on a hold because of second review ADMINISTRATION PROGRESS which can take months!!

So, thats why we are going to have 2 ceremonies, and one reception on our BIG wedding day -rings included :innocent: !!

:ot: OMG!! I just saw I'm on my 5 month mark!!! It's time to start stalking VERMONT!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIs this possible???
; prepare yourself for not making it to your own wedding in time  ...
1. you have to wait a week or so til your Consulate receives your package from the US. :bonk:

2. when the Consulate/Embassy received your case, they will set up a date, costs couple of days for you to receive your interview date

3. I thought in the UK, normal processing time from NOA2 to Interview date is 6-8 weeks.

Total: prox. 8-10 weeks before heading to the US

If I were you, look fo alternatives, for just in case.. So you won't be stressed out for weeks and think: Can I make it, Can I make it, Can I make it?

Aaargh! Thanks. Anyone have an address in Texas where I can move for the next 5 or six months until this is approved??? (kidding) Who knows, if the CSC is so backlogged, maybe they'll just keep it in Texas to begin with. I can dream, anyway.

:)

; CSC so backlogged? :hehe: Where do you get that idea from? Based on the VJ approvals, CSC is approving mid-September filers, while Vermont is working on 3rd week of August. So, y'all are not as backlogged as you might think CS is. :innocent:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGetting Married Before Entering US on a K-1
; sometimes I wonder if some peeps who are petitioning an I-129f (K1) know what K1 actually means, and what the requirements are. Heck, I won't petition for anything if I don't know what it means or what I can or can't do

back to topic. If you really wanna get married in the UK, withdraw your petition and go on the CR-1 route. Or get married in a simple court house in the US, wait til you received your permission to travel outside the US and then do the reception in the UK....

; What about contacting your Ombudsman??? Fill in the I-7001 form, scan it and E-mail it. He is like the intermediator (however you spell it in English) between applicants and USCIS. This form is like a form explaining your cause of problem.

I have problems too, and I e-mail Vermont's Ombudsman, and he E-mailed me back the same day telling me that I had to fill in the form I-7001. Aaron and I sent it back, and we got a reply the next day stating that they have received our signed forms and they will review it and contact USCIS on our behalf, and see what the problem is and how they can solve it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures; what if I-129f gets denied?
; The American Consulate in Amsterdam already know that my entry got denied. I had my interview May last year. Thank God the peeps in this Consulate are so helpful and understanding. I showed them enough proof that I didn't want to get married during my stay, and they approved my B2. It was all a lesson, and they knew I learned from it.

And I also think it's a good thing that we're filing K1, because I had a lot of chances to get married in the US during my stays. The officers at the POE knows I'm engaged, Pittsburgh has a small office, and I know the head officers. And yes, now I'm telling the truth, they joke around too :)

I'm not worried about US Consulate in Amsterdm about denying my interiew due my denied entry experience, I just hope USCIS will approve me and give me my NOA2. That's what I'm nervous about, and I know all I can do is waiting with my fiance. I also know there are worser cases that got approved, gosh, this all is nerve-wracking..
Channah&AaronFemaleNetherlands2011-05-08 12:15:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures; what if I-129f gets denied?
; Yes, you did!!

I never ever ever ever commited any crime.. other than steeling candy out of my mom's candy bar.
Therefore, before I went to the US, the immigration officer gave me a hard time for a very long time, but let me in.

When I came home, I read stories online about people who have had difficulty during their entry as well. I shared my experience about all the questioning and then people replied the following, A lot of them told me that I have to tell the officer I'm visiting a friend. This would be the best way, otherwise they will questioning me even more.

I read some more and more, and then I flew back again a couple months later. After the plane landed, I had to go thru customs. When the officer asked me what my purpose was and who I was going to visit. I said "a friend" without thinking. I was so shocked about the answer I gave him, because I always answer their questions truthfully. I even considdered telling hem that I didn't mean to say "a friend". But then he kept on asking questions and I knew that I was to late admitting it.

I had to go through second security check, and I admitted it. Yes, I lied and I told the reason about the horror stories about getting denied (I was clueless). It all took 3 hours.

The officer told me that he could tell that I regret I lied to him. He also knew that I was really regretting it and that I wasn't a threat. He checked my background. He said that he had to send me home, and that this all must be a lesson to me. Ofcourse I was bummed and sad, but I admit that I deserved it!! After that, the officer and I talked for an other 30 minutes, had a drink and some food, then i went back home. This happened in Philladelphia layover to Pittsburgh where my fiance lives.

Now, I fly directly to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is really small, and the Officers know me there and every time I fly to Pittsburgh, they are like "hey, you again :)" "Arent you still married yet, it takes long, isnt it?" "Welcome agin girl". And i even talk to them about my POE, how it all works. And they joke about it and then told me it will take 5 min, cuz they have seen my whole I-129f package couple of times.

It was all a lesson, everyone makes mistakes. This one is the one I made and I learned from it!!

Oh no, I won't overstay, I can stay here for an other 4 months and no way I'm going to stay here longer than that  .

It's just weird that they are approving Dec filers and Aaron & I are left behind. I don't know it's taking so long.

* I'm not from a high fraud country at all
* I never overstayed
* Aaron and I have spent months together, not only this year, but also last year
* Aaron makes way above the required poverty level
* Aaron and I both have clean police records.

Although, my entry got denied May 2010 because I lied about Aaron and my relationship, so I think that might be the problem of this delay. After I got sent home, I applied for B2 Visa, passed the interview and have traveled to the US 3 times after. Still, though, can that cause any huge problems? :crying:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures; what if I-129f gets denied?

You are allowed to file for CR-1, but unless you address the reason for denial, that petition could very well be denied as well. You are at VSC which seems to be moving slowly. Hopefully you will have your response soon as you submitted the service request. Also, it is very likely they would issue you an RFE first rather than simply denying your petition. (in my opinion). Try to stay strong...you should have some kind of a reply very sooon. Good luck to you!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures; what if I-129f gets denied?
; Hi all!!

I have a question. We are still waiting for our NOA2 (almost 6.5 mos). And I just have a weird feeling that we get denied. Although there isn't a reason for us to get denied. The Ombudsman is going to help us, USCIS put in a Service Request, and a decision will be made within 30 days, they said (we hope so). But because it's taking so long, and I'm having kinda nightmares, I'd like to be prepared in case Aaron and I get denied.

How will they let us know, in case we get denied? FYI, I am with my fiance in the US for 2 months now, and the plan was that I'll stay here until my interview. What are the immediate steps we can take in case we get denied?

If this all works out to the bad, is it legal to get married here and I stay here for an other 4 mos while we are going the CR-1 route. Though, I have a B2 Visa, so I can stay til September.

I know this all sounds drastic and all that, but I have to prepared for any situation.

Thank you for your input!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 after overstay and denial of entry
; Hi!!

My entry got denied in Philladelphia May last year. And they told me I had to have a B2 Visa if I want to travel back to the US.

After 1.5 month, I passed my interview and they gave me my B2 Visa. I travelled back to the US right after (for 2 months july-aug) for Christmas and I'm in the US right now since March 4th.

All three times they took me apart for secundary inspection (ofcourse, if you have had your entry denied).
