We just submitted our packet on June 19 and received NOA1 confirmation. I just started doing freelance writing in addition to my full-time job and didn't list it on my employment history. Can anyone advise on if this is going to be a problem and how I should address this change?

My fiance visited through the Visa Waiver Program between Ireland and the US this year. Technically his 90 day waiver expired on May 1st but his flight left the US on May 2nd. We are still very early in the process, but is this an overstay even though it is just a day?

If he has someone at home who can receive mail. send back the interview readiness notice, he only needs to be back for medical and interview. Of course, he can only stay 90 days on the VWP.


So he doesn't have to sign anything in Packet 3, the checklist just needs completed and returned?

And he could technically get his medical earlier, correct?

We received our NOA1 on June 19 and would very much like to spend Christmas together. He wants to come for an extended visit thru the Visa waiver program to do so but we don't want to mess up the process. Any guidance on the following is much appreciated :-)

We are estimating his interview between January and February? Can anyone say at what points in the process my fiance MUST be in Ireland other than the end for the medical and interview? Just to confirm (the medical can take place just before the interview, correct?)

We need to send in a change of address form for my fiance (beneficiary). He was living in London while he worked on the Olympic broadcast. He is back in Ireland now at his father's, his permanent address. We filed for our K-1 in June and put his London address at the time. He is coming to the US to stay with me for 3 months to take some holidays and whatnot starting September 6th. There is a bullet on the electronic address change form that states:

"For almost all non-U.S. citizens present in the U.S. for more than 29 days, to comply with the legal requirement to notify DHS of any change of address (currently using Form AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card)"

Can anyone tell me what address we are supposed to put for the change? Is it his Irish address or mine in the US? I thought it would be his permanent Irish address but this statement sent me through a loop.

We received NOA1 on June 19th. My fiance (Irish) came to stay for 3 months from February to May. He left for 2 weeks (to London) and came back for another 3 weeks. He is working in London on the Olympics until mid August. Do you think it would be problematic for him to return to the states until he has to go back for the medical? He worked under contract for NBC on the Olympics so he would have to look for work in Ireland to be there for only a month, or he could just come here and stay with me. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

She can attend as soon as she wants, they will want documentation (AZ) of legal entry and charge you a hefty out of state IE; new tuition fee. They wanted $ 1,000 in AZ, The admissions person said no one pays and just leaves, I guess that back fired on them.


I Wonder if after a year she would be considered a resident of my state? I know thats the rule for citizens but not sure in this case.

she needs to go to the bank and pay the money in cash. Wires or CC are not accepted. You can wire to her but she has to personally go there and pay for it herself. Takes like 25 min but you wont be able to register till two days after payment via UStraveldocs.com


On the website i see a "Consular Fee"(4620 Rubles) , "The Fee for non immigrant visas" (3300 Rubles) and "adjustment payment" (330 Rubles)

Do i need to pay for all of these or just one?

you need to go to www.ustraveldocs.com and pay the fee for your visa interview before scheduling an appointment. remember you must register in the name of the person you are applying k-1 for. Total cost is 350$ or 11550 Rubles for the fee payable by pochta service or VTB bank service. Usually this is done after Moscow Embassy has received our case and has sent you an email stating the next step.


So i'd need to wire the money? Does usatraveldocs accept CC or Debit Cards? I already set an account up on there a few weeks ago for my fiance. :)

I've heard that this has to be paid online before you can get an interview, and I've read that it has to be paid at the time of the interview after the visa is approved.... Any Moscow filers here?


Yes you need to pay through the bank, like a wire transfer. Then after 48 hours you go online to schedule the interview. It will not let you without the money being confirmed it was received at your countries embassy in moscow. My Fiancee just went though her interview on 1/18/12 in moscow.

Good afternoon!!

I am starting to get a little bit worried about the following:

We got our NOA1 last October 28th, and for the interview we need to show them he's financial situation. He makes way above the poverty but I'm worried about taxes from the past 3 years.

He has all of his tax returns from 2005,2006,2007,2008 and 2010.

But since he took a year off in 2009 to rebuild his house (it got strucked down by Hurricane Rita!!).. That's why he took a year off, not because he got laid off or got fired. He simply took a year off cuz he could afford it and he wanted to work on his house.

Would this be a major problem?
I would assume not since we can show them his pay stubs from the past year.. I'm just asking because I felt a little insecure about it, eventhough he can support me financially.

First of all, happy holidays!!!

I have a question..


My fiance, USC, visited me in the Netherlands 2 weeks ago, and although he just left Europe, we really don't want to spend New Years alone, we both decided to celebrate NYE together. So, I'm planning to visit him within a couple of days for a week.

Since my acces to the US got denied last may (trauma!), I had to obtain a specific visa. 2 months later I flew back, without any problems. Everytime, like everybody, they want my finger print, and because my acces got denied earlier this year because of something stupid, I'm afraid for having a hard time (last time was not that hard, but different airport right now).. so the question is: should I bring a copy of the I-129f package with me to make them sure and know that I'm not planning to stay or get illegally married????

I also have a:
* letter from my employer stating I have to get back to work on January 5th
* a note from my dentist stating I have an appointment on February 10th
* salary specifications

NEVER SAY YOU'RE VISITING A FRIEND/FRIENDS if you're in fact visiting your fiance/fiancee!! Even though he hasn't asked you a specificly.... he can take you to a second security check, and if he asks you this question again and then you say "my fiance/fiancee". the Officer will question you why you said friends before.

TRUST ME!! MY ACCES TO THE US GOT DENIED because I first said 'friends'!!

He got suspicious why I didn't ask his question truthfully...

So I had to go back on the first plane back and get myself a B2 Visa!! It contains some paperwork to do and even an interview. I passed!

This all happend last may and I visited the US for 9 weeks during summer. I'm always scared before entering the country. Because after they have my fingerprints (poe), they see my acces has been denied once. BUT I flew to the US two weeks ago to celebrate NY's with my fiance whom is a USC, no problems once again.



So, always tell you're visiting ur fiance(e), and always bring a copy of your Noa1, and if have, your Noa2 and the copy of your I-129f package so they'll know you wont get married illegally. And if they ask you if you're planning to get married during your stay; I tell them the following: me and my fiance(e) want to get married in the legally way, why would we waste all the paid fees, all the energy for lots of paperwork and risk a 10year ban?!

Then he said; Succes with everything and welcome to the United States of America.


Thus, tell them the whole truth and nothing but the truth (A).!

He asked what the purpose was of my visit, and I told him that I was going to visit my fiance. He asked me some questions, like; when are you going to get married. I said, as soon as we get our NOA2, hopefully this march and after our interview has been approved.

I put the package on his desk but he didn't even looked at it :innocent:

Not every case will be touched, but that doesn't mean they aren't working on it. Some cases has been touched 10 times, others just one or none.

Have you logged in on uscis.gov? There you can see if your case has been touched. If not, like I said, don't worry about it.

It is also common to have to wait for any respond for 5 months. If your 5months mark has been reached, my advice would be; call and ask about your case.

The waiting game s*cks, but you haven't reached your 5 month mark yet, so sit down and "enjoy" the last month or the ride. You'll receive your NOA2 before you know it!! :innocent:
