USCIS Service CentersIR-1/CR-1 Visa 6 Months of Processing, is it still followed?

you confirmed it was transferred to a local office yes???

your local office is san Francisco wink.png

Not yet we dunno how can we transfer our case in SF. How can we do that? Do we need to call the USCIS or the National Benefits Center? Thanks for the big help!

not even remotely possible.. csc is a service center and doesn't do 130's for over a year now

your file is going to be at san Francisco: http://dashboard.usc...=76&charttype=1

if I remember correctly, the SF office is taking around 6 months now, based on the last vj member I saw out of that office and their current volume chart

Thanks much for that info! How can we transfer our case to SF office?

if you can find out exactly where your petition is, you will be able to get a better understanding of your individual timeline.

it is most likely at your local office now.. the local office is where the great variables come into play

if you read through the guides already and have done a good job assembling your package, then don't worry, ask or stress about other people's rfe's .. rfe's are the exception not the rule for those of us who put together a decent package wink.png

Thank you! When we called the USCIS they told us that our local office is the NBC. Is there a possibility that our case may be transferred to CSC?

Why are they taking too long to process our papers? My friend's papers (I-130) were approved in just 3 months & it just  took her 8 months to complete the whole processing. What are the additional RFE they're requiring? Thanks guys!

Hi everyone can you please make some comments on this topic? Does USCIS still follow this time frame? My papers are on their 6th month on the 29th of this month. There's no request for RFE it means our papers are all complete. Is there a possibility that our papers be approve this month?

USCIS Service CentersHow can we know if our case was transferred to a local office?

okay jj.. all very basic questions

I would recommend you spend the next week reading each and every thread in all three cr1 forums even if they don't apply to you.  when you feel like you have had enough, read another fifty threads or so

IO is an immigration officer

CSR is the idiot answering the phone

they are both at the uscis call center

Yeah thanks..I wish USCIS have an exclusive phone numbers for IO's. CSR & IO should have separate lines.

you are posting the dcf thread.. is that correct?  if you dcf'd , then no it wont go to a local office

Nah it's not it was filed abroad my hubby is in CA now.

USCIS Service CentersHow can we know if our case was transferred to a local office?

typically there is no notice .. the reason for this is that there was an official notice on the uscis website when this started

to find out, you have to get a willing IO on the phone to check.. takes time and persuasion

but yes, you can plan that your file was transferred

he has to speak with an IO not a CSR

can you give us some info's how can we get in touch with an io?

USCIS Service CentersHow can we know if our case was transferred to a local office?

Last March 29 the USCIS sent us an email that our case (I-130) was routed and transferred to the National Benefits Center. My papers would be on its 6th month now & still no updates happened. Does the NBC transfer the case to a local office without notifying the petitioner? My husband called them (USCIS) yesterday & they never told him if our case was move to local office they just told him same stuff every-time he calls.

USCIS Service CentersIR-1/CR-1 SPOUSE VISA PROCESS.

My husband lives in California & has filed an I-130 petition for me. The USCIS received it last March 29, 2013. So far all our papers are complete & we are just waiting for a decision as we check our case status on their page. Its been already 5 months now & our case status is still in initial review. My friend has the same case with mine but hers only took 3 months to be approve. Why us is taking this long? Please somebody help us thanks!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 Visa is it still an active or an obsolete visa?

I'm in the same boat, I filed I-130 and after I got the NOA1, I filed I-129F.

eventhough the chance of getting a K3 visa throu is minimal, I'm hoping that with the long wait periods for approving I-130, they will give the I-129F a chance to go throu.

Who knows?

Yeah same here. Let's us hope for the best. God is good.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 Visa is it still an active or an obsolete visa?

I am assuming they filed the I-130 and then the I-129F after getting the NOA1 to try and be on the K3 visa path.

Yeah cause we can't file a K3 visa unless we filed first a CR 1-Visa. That is a requirement to file a K3 petition.

jj_stoutFemalePhilippines2013-11-07 06:30:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 Visa is it still an active or an obsolete visa?

Sort of obsolete.  Any who file the K3 are converted to the CR-1 from what I have read.

So did you file two petitions, one in March another in July?   Did you cancel the March petition?

Nah we didn't cancel any of these two visa. Hoping that one of them might be approve soon!

jj_stoutFemalePhilippines2013-11-06 05:20:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK-3 Visa is it still an active or an obsolete visa?

According to what we have read before it says that this visa shortens the time of separation of love-ones. After filing the I-130 last March 29 we did try to file this K3 (I-29F) Visa last July. After we got the NOA 1, we didn't hear any progress on this visa.

My husband called the tier 2 yesterday inquiring on our I-130 petition and the lady said our case it is still at NBC and it might take a year before the approval. cray5ol.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportswhy is that take so long in NBC

We're on a same situation. USCIS received my papers last March 29 & my papers are already on the 6th month and we never heard anything from them. My husband keeps on calling them but all they say is to wait wait. Btw last July my husband also filed the I-129f/K3 visa since it's free to do. Praying that the Lord will soon approve either of the 2 petitions.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsI-130 at National benefits center for processing

My papers were accepted last march 29 and it's still in initial review while my friend's papers were approved after 3 months only! Whenever we call the uscis they just tell us to wait. We have no choice but to wait. Keep praying.
