Someone in the VSC slow down thread stated that they called USCIS and received confirmation of a 2 month delay on petitions. Doesn't make any sense. But other people have called (including my own attorney) and had a contradictory response of 5 months. Pretty discouraging if there happens to be any accuracy to reports of such a delay. I'll be shocked....and very disappointed..especially for all of us who were so close...talk about having the rug torn out from under you... Yeah. Absolutely!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I-129F December Filers?	I think there were two December petitions approved today, so VSC remains on target. They seem to have gotten through around half of the petitions according to the timeline (including petitions that received RFEs). I'm still hoping that by the first or second week of May that we'll see them begin to adjudicate some January petitions. My guess Paul, is between the 15th and the 20th of May. It is only April 9th, so I figure the way Vermont is going, it will be soon for January. My God... I hope so!!!!!!!! I am known to be a patient man, but....... I may be slipping a bit!!! Wow, we just stumbled across this site the other night, what a great site and wish we had known about it sooner! We are going nuts waiting and waiting. I was a Jan 2012 filer and mine was 133 days, but... there were a couple of others that were 35-45 days and some went 200 days. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Thanks Beth and Sara. It will be totally surreal when it happens, I probably won't believe it's true for a week! The long distance is hard. I'm thankful for skype, yet at the same time, I just wish I could reach into the computer and touch him... and it is super hard not knowing when I'll be able to do that again. We've always had trips planned every 3 months or so, so something to look forward to... a date... we would count down the days... but now, we don't have that, all we have is limbo.. and it sucks.. I am so ready to go... even the kids are ready to go at this point.. and not being able to let them know when is frustrating for all of us... It is pretty difficult to plan for anything right now, just one day at a time. Rick in his quiet strong way is keeping strong for both of us... but I know it's starting to weigh on him too.. ahhhh c'mon Vermont Disservice Center, show us some love already!! ... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Great news!! I had wanted visit Lidia sooner, but she wanted me to be there for interview... So we waited past her birthday, my birthday, and finally made it for interview and to see her. But i wonder are you going back for the interview. I heard the DOS in Russia started recommending the American petitioner come to interview. Is this true, have you heard this, are you going? I spoke with the Embassy and they do allow the petitioner to go to the interview as well, and I would love to be there with her, but no, I'll be working. We had discussed me being at the interview, but she said she would prefer me to take a week off when she comes. Plus, we really needed this extra time together, and she needed a vacation. It also gave me the chance to ask her parents for her hand in marriage and we were able to have a very nice engagement party!! I even took marshmallows, Hershey's chocolate and graham crackers and we made s'mores for her friends and family!!! Enjoyed my first banya experience as well!!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Yes. I'm trying my best to keep it in perspective. We just got unlucky with May being a major month for vacations. Even the mail slows down this time of year. All they need to do is attack these petitions in June with renewed enthusiasm. Tomorrow it begins. The month of June will be great for us. There's really no other way for it to go ha. The 1,000s upon 1,000s of petitions in all the months after us aren't going anywhere. They have to start somewhere. And that means get us out of the way as quickly as possible. So here's to hoping that next week is the beginning of what we've all been waiting for..I just need Julia here by August...Not only were we planning for the wedding to happen in August but also to move into our new house...so..really would be nice to get things moving on this NOA2. Kiev has a fast turn around..but I really hope I'm not waiting until end of June just for NOA2. I can't say I thought we'd be dealing with this as January filers..But when I look at those stats on USCIS for receipts and approvals, June is always the best month. I don't think that will suddenly change. So I'm ready for an onslaught of approvals. They should be flooding us with them the next 3 weeks. I pray that you are right my friend!!! We have been planning trips every 3 months, either me going to US or him coming to Canada. I went down for a 2 week visit in November for the American Thanksgiving, and he came to Canada for a 2 week visit in February. I am here in USA again for a visit and go home June 3rd. But I think this will be the last trip we can do before getting the visa. So I am thinking it is going to be a very long and painful 4 to 5 month wait until I can see him again! Thank God for skype, but it's not the same as being together. On the bright side... I was all prepared to be scrutinized and grilled at customs so I had all kinds of paperwork ready to prove I was returning to Canada. The POE officer asked for nothing!! I haven't seen my fiancé 3 months now and it looks like I won't see him for at least 3 more It sucks..... The last time I saw Sveta was January 1 of this year. We talk on the phone 2-3 times a day plus 10-12 emails a day and Skype most weekends, but it's not a touch or a kiss and it somedays just makes the loneliness that much worse....
