Secondly, as far as the USCIS website is concerned, sometimes they never update it. Mine was, but I have read a lot of post saying that others had never been updated at all. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Attorney Representation - What Good Is Having One?	I used an attorney. I could have done it on my own, but I hired him before I found VJ. I won't say it was a waste of money (for me personally) but they did have access to a lot of things that I didn't know. On the downside... They are very secretive about what we need to be prepared for immediately after NOA2. Thank God for VJ. I have already began to get everything in order. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	-Good aNd Bad News-	I send things to Sveta all of the time through USPS. She lives in Cherepovets, but everything will sit in Vologda (the nearest Russian Postal hub) for at least 2 weeks. I would go ahead and get everything together and FedEx it to her again. It might be a waste of money, but then again it could make it before Russian Postal will deliver it. He is mine and Sveta's (I have problems comprehending legal forms and very little time with my work) and I can say absolutely nothing bad against them. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Attorney for K1	I used an attorney, but only because I'm about 60% dyslexic and it can be very difficult for me to read legal instructions very well. I would probably try it on my own if I had to do it again unless it was a very tough embassy or there were special circumstances. But, to answer your question, no, they do not make the process any quicker.... Just for me, more secure feeling... If there is a problem, at least I have someone to be pissed off at!!! ?? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Quick question on how we met letter.	Quick question, how should the format of this be? The same as the Letter of Intent to Marry? Are there any sample formats that I could see? I know this may seem like a dumb question but any help would be great with this! I wrote a one page "love story" beginning with To Whom it May Concen.... Single spaced, a new paragraph for each notable event. Just told about how we initially became acquainted, when we met. A little about what we did when we were together. A bit about my proposal and ended it with "and I want her and need her here so we can begin our life together". And I also left a place at the bottom where I could include a "wet" signature. And include places, dates, and people that you might of met. For example, I talked a little about meeting her brother in law on December 28 and told how he and I went and did some things together on the 29th. I even told about her father toasting me with vodka on the 27th. It's maybe not nessesary, but I feel like it was a nice touch to include it in the petition for easy reference of a timeline and it took all of 30 minutes. Hope you found this helpful... I will read on and hope to get help with the first answer and maybe ask in the Russian regional section. You have a couple of options Gary, but both depend on your fiancé having a computer. The easiest is to have your fiancé email you her information in Cyrillic and copy/paste then print it out. The other is to let her fill it out, scan it and email it to you. I hope this helps!! One thing that Sveta and I do is online shopping... We rarely buy anything... but we enjoy looking while we are in Skype. We look at house plans, clothes, dogs, vacation spots...
