http://manila.usemba...ov/wwwfk1en.pdf (read page 7)

there are several vaccines included, but just incase youre wondering on what types youll be getting, the doctors will determine on what type of vaccine/s the beneficiary will be getting. Hope this helps. God bless

Relax Gloria. The truth is, I was ready to cry when my daughter's skin test turned positive and she went for xray. But guess what? When I met all the other people there with kids - ALL of the had positive skin test results, that made me feel better. Turned out, she was cleared as her Xray turned out ok. Rest your mind.

Thank you so much happy dancer. I wish it will be the same for us. Anywho, Goodluck with your interview tom. I wish you happiness. Take care and God bless.

Philippinesmedical done but...
hey Vj family! i was wondering what will happen to our petition (k1/k2) were done with our medical and i had the vaccines shot that i believe to be the sign that i passed with no further problems.. but the thing results cannot be released yet bec my daughter was subjected to Tb skin test and were hoping to get a negative result. As of now, she got a reaction to it and have a red bump on her arm. but im still hoping that the doctor would call it negative. Iam so stressed and been crying since bec i love my daughter so much and i wouldnt want to leave her behind but i feel sometimes that were running out of time bec my fiance will be deployed soon thats why were trying to beat the time. I dont know what to do as i feel so restless about our situation. Would this really be a reason to hold us back together? I understood not unless all is cleared with medical no interview will be made. or if shell be found to have inactive TB will my daughter be allowed to fly out of the country? pls help me. i need more info that could somehow make me calm abit. Cant stop crying im too worried. Pls help us pray that well make it out of this. God bless you all.

hey there guys! just thought id ask if its a good sign or what? Im done with interview this morning and the CO told me that so far all my documents looks good that they dont see a problem y as not to issue a visa. its just that he asked for the japanese police clearance as additional document where i manage to submit it the same day..3 hrs difference only(though its in the afternoon) They didnt asked me to pay the air 21 yet but told me that itll be in form of COD when they delivered it.. Does anyone have an experience like this recieving white/slip and blue slip but manage to comply. How long does it usually takes for me to recieve a visa. Pls enlighten me. Im this close to be with him. and i dont want this to all go wrong...thanks for your future replies. i really need to know! help me please.

NICE but to sad to tell u that if u get a police clearance from japan it takes 1 1/2 months to get a pc from japan...i dnt have interview date yet cuz im still waiting for the pc from japan before i can set an interview...Start now and after that u can have ur visa when u pass the pc from japan in usem...GOODLUCK star_smile.gif

I read on here maybe 2 weeks ago that someone had the same issue with a Police Clearance, they went to the consulate of that country and got the clearance much quicker. Does not hurt to try it.
As for the air 21, they will just collect the fee at the delivery time.

I already submitted the Police clearance today aswell.. its just that after the interview itself. I just want to ask wether its a sign that i passed or not and if so, how long am i suppose to wait till a visa gets in my hand. Thanks..

I will pray for you. My son is also left in the Philippines last March. He was not released by SLEC because of his xray. My other son was released and he is now with me in Rhode Island. I was heart broken when I left my younger kid and he is taking the medication at St. Lukes for 6 months and hopefully before Christmas I can pick him up. I cried a river at St. Lukes and they did not honor my plea. What I did is just take the situation as it is and follow what the St. Lukes wants because they are powerful.

The only thing I can do now being a mother is to pray that he will be all set in 6 months. Leaving him behind was the most painful thing that happened to me but what can I do?

Thank you so much for ur prayer. Im really hoping that things will turn out well with the help of everyone's prayer. In my end as a mother, leaving our kids behind is indeed the most painful of all. I coudn't explain as the pain is so overwhelming when they told me that she needs to undergo repeat xray after 2 mos, i cried so hard hearing that. although i know that theres a chance that she could make it this time but then again, i do still fear the possibility of worst results. Iam sure that iam willing to pick her up after few mos if ever but i understand that its not gonna be easy to fly back aswell in relation with AOS and AP. Plus my fiance will be deployed by August w/c adds up bec ill definitely be left out alone with no relatives to help me and guide me while adjusting with American life..whats worse is that if ever, during christmas time ill be all alone... sad.gif . Anywho, i will include you in my prayers that youll get the chance to be with your son soon. Take care and God bless. pls keep me posted

Can anyone pls tell us what alternative email address can we use to contact USEM and make a follow up regarding my visa im on my 3rd wk now yet havent heard anything till now. As much as we wanted to contact them every wk but it cost alot of money to call, to think at most they can answer would be "call us back after 6 wks.. i know this is a generic answer as others would say, but im beginning to feel restless.. i submitted what they needed which" is the PC and im sure i was cleared with that, for i have done nothing wrong, never overstayed nor never been arrested while working overseas. I dont really understand whats going on, i only hope i would know the reason why its taking quite sometime. I cant sleep well, cant eat well.. Hi guys!! thought id vent out... I was so disappointed of how things are. Im so down after hearing what the girl from call center of USEM said about the status of my paper. Got my interview last March 19, all went well and the CO told me that he cant see any reason y he shouldnt give me visa. He even congratulated me and wish luck in our marriage. he then asked me to sumit an additional document which is the Police clearance where in i manage to give it to them the same day.As for others with similar exeprience, they manage to recieve their visas after submitting the PC after few days to about a wk. But in my case, i dont really understand as to why the Lady told us that my paper is under review and was asked to call back after 6 wks. This is really frustrating for us. Im sure that im not the only one beng in such situation but its hurting me too much knowing we're this close of being together but not sure when and what will happen.. crying.gif I love him too much and its not the same not being with him.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionScheduled an appointment w/o making a payment

you have to make sure the link goes to the Philippines. The one I got on email goes to Singapore by default. I got the same error too when I clicked on the link they sent me on email.

"http://www.ustraveld...cMxpfBJUHUOw==" change it to

"http://www.ustraveld...cMxpfBJUHUOw==" and try again :)

I have no experience on being able to schedule before the payment. I paid mine before I was even sent an eligibility letter. *Excited much* LOL

If you are still unsure, you can give the embassy a call.

BTW, when is your interview? :) Goodluck!

Hello Crystal, yes I've noticed the same thing when I clicked on the link. Was having the issue when I already chose Philippines. Did call the call center today and have it sorted out. Thank you for the advice.

My interview is 6th May. That was the earliest date when I booked an appointment last Thursday ( same day you first did), I did it online. Tried to get an earlier date today but the agent said they're already on 11th May.

Good luck on your interview on the 25th

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionScheduled an appointment w/o making a payment
Hi all. This past Thursday, when I received the email from the embassy telling me they received our case, I went to the scheduling online page then I entered my details such as passport and case number to check if I can save my profile in advance and if I could see the dates available for interview. But then the page did not only let me access it but allowed me to schedule an interview as well without asking for any proof that I made the $350 payment. I also got a UID and have the appointment link sent to my email. After that, my status in my profile says that my interview is scheduled on the slot I picked, however it does not allow me to make changes or download the appointment page, which the reason I assumed is that because I didn't pay yet.

I paid cash at BPI the next day. The bank teller told me that after I make the payment and they validate it, it will automatically update in the embassy's system. Still until now, every time I go online I could not do anything except access my profile. I tried to schedule another appointment by entering my details again like it was the first time, but I would get a message that tells me my interview has been scheduled already.

I'm abashed as I know I should have made a payment first and didn't rush :bonk: , anyhow I am posting this to ask if anyone here had to go through this kind of situation before. I am considering that my appointment is confirmed and there's only a delay for the system to be updated because it was a Friday when I made the payment, though I can't be so sure. I wish I could talk to someone in the embassy's call center right now, unfortunately they're not open during the weekend. I am hoping that someone here can help me, any answers or information from you guys will be highly appreciated.

Hi Mae! My fiance is on SSDI actually. You need his Notice of Award from Social Security Administration. And also a bank statement where they deposit the money from SSDI and also copies of his cheques. And yes the statement why he's exempted to file a tax. Godbless us!!!

Hello SimplyMacy, I'll be having my interview soon and I'd like to get some info from you since my fiance is getting SSDI as well. Did the consul ask for an explanation or any proof of your fiance's medical condition? About the tax exemption statement, do you have like a form or maybe a template for that, or it's in a letter format only? Hope to hear from you. Thanks

I was only asked for my full name as written on my passport and my passport number, and also which visa I was applying for. To be safe, just ask her to take note of the case number. We never really know what instruction was given to the person she will deal with in the bank.

In addition to above, they looked at my passport to verify and asked for the photocopy for them to keep. I was not asked for the case number.

Hello Chillcy. I've read somewhere here in VJ that on the second day you'll know if you passed the medical, or if there will be additional tests. US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAdvice Scheduling Interview and Medical (USEM/Manila)

Thank you so much for the input ScottnAngie, Samton and XoxoHanna.

So its either two short trips, one for medical one for embassy or one trip most likely a walk in on a Monday for the medical after scheduling for a Friday embassy interview. Well one thing is clear.

If you're still reading:

1. Any thoughts on exactly what is needed to present to BPI to pay for the interview ? There are many recommendations on the VJ site just wondering if you've actually had a recent experience paying the fee. I am thinking in particular do I have to get that MNL # from the NVC to pay the fee at the bank?

2. And then what St Lukes requires? I went to St Lukes site but it lists things that people on VJ say you don't need, (like the actual appoinment letter and 4 photos)

I am trying to make this as clear as I can for Tonieta because you all know how confusing this gets and I can't be there to be confused with her!

Feel free to throw out any other suggestions and ideas. Thanks again for the responses and help its really appreciated.

aloha......................................Paul

Hi Paul, I have really nothing to share about the medical yet. But in regards with paying BPI, really did have a bad experience. When I went in the bank, an employee told me I need to bring my passport, and scanned copy is not acceptable. a photocopy will not do as well (I didn't bring one by that time but I still asked :)), then I had to go home and get my passport. When I came back, waited for almost two hours (t'was April 15th- last day of tax return filing) until it was my turn to pay, the teller asked for the photocopy of my passport, which unfortunately I didn't have any with me :crying: . The funny part is,he told me they DO NOT have a photocopier at the bank  when I complained and ask him if he can make a copy for me since I waited for so long already. So lesson is, make sure she brings both and any other documents that she think will help, inconsistencies are not unusual here.

btw, they did not ask me for the case number.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAdvice Scheduling Interview and Medical (USEM/Manila)

Aloha VJr's,

We recieved our NOA2 April 6 2011. We are trying to plan the best way to arrange the St. Luke's exam and the Embassy exam so it can be accomplished in only one trip to Manila from Cebu. The only way I can see is to schedule the Embassy interview and then do the walk in at St. Lukes a few days before the Embassy schedule. Is this what everyone does? It is not a problem just inconvenient to make 2 trips. Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks............................Paul + Tonieta

Hi, I am from Bacolod. I'll do both in one trip. Plane tickets are expensive since it's summer here in the Philippines :(. Just make sure that you give at least 4 or 5 days between the first day of medical and the interview since we can only reschedule the appointment up to 2 business days (in case there's additional procedure or requirement for the medical).

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionK1 - fiance recieved a letter of possiblity of public charge in manila embassy

i agree with extremerecluse and GeoffinVA, but if you give more information we can give you better ideas, are you over the minimum requirement?, new job? student?, maybe they see more dependants than you counted, check these things and good luck to you.

I too agree with the others above. I was worried of the same thing before my interview since my fiance is retired and is receiving SSDI. I emailed the embassy to ask what to do if petitioner is below the poverty line and here is their response:

Petitioners in fiancé(e) (K1) nonimmigrant visa cases are generally expected to provide the adequacy of their own financial resources to ensure that an alien, after admission into the United States, will not become primarily dependent on the U.S. Government for subsistence.

Joint sponsors in nonimmigrant visa cases are not legally bound to address the financial needs of the applicant. K visa and such joint sponsorships are, therefore, not always sufficiently credible to overcome the public charge provisions of Section 212(a)(4) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).

Fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens (K1) are required to submit a I-134 Affidavit of Support from the petitioner together with a copy of the petitioner?s most recent Federal income tax return (Form 1040).

If the petitioner is unable to provide a Form 1040, he must submit other credible evidence of assets to meet the 100% minimum income requirement under the Federal poverty guidelines for his prospective household size. Such assets could include bank accounts showing the date the account was opened and the present balance, stock, personal property, real estate and non-taxable sources of income such as Social Security payments which should be available in the U.S. for the applicant's support and must be readily convertible to cash within one year. The consular officer determines if any additional documents are needed as the application is processed.

We did what they instructed on the last paragraph. I guess it will also help if your fiance is currently employed or has a good working history here in the Philippines. During the prescreening and interview, I was asked questions more about my past working history and the current than my fiance's.

I may be wrong about my opinion of the reason of becoming him a public charge, however hope this could help just in case that's what exactly is :)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionManila Consulate Receipt to Interview Scheeduling

The Manila Embassy recieved our approved NOA2 on 5/2 via DHL Express. We have been trying to schedule the interview but the case doesn't seem to be enterd into their system yet. How long have others had to wait before it will allow you to schedule the interview? My fiancee called the scheduling number but was told she could not schedule untill she had received the letter from the embassy. How has this played out for others?

She does not have to wait for the physical letter to be able to schedule for the interview. I emailed the embassy in Manila, I got a reply couple of days after, i think that was only the time when they have updated our case in their system. They emailed me back stating that you I make a payment at BPI and schedule the interview. Please check my timeline below for the number of days it took :)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Question 2

Hello,

In question 2, it says "I am ____ years of age and have resided in the United States since ____."

Does the resided in the US mean your date of birth -or- today's date?

Originally I was going to write my D.O.B., but in the I-134 example that person wrote what appears to be today's date at that time.

My fiance put his DOB.

Are you married to your fiancee??? You posted thit to the K-3 forum.

You seem to post the same things about USCIS quite often, the last rant was here: http://www.visajourn...h...=175656&hl=

Moving this to USCIS forum.

No I am not marry yet, but we are considering this options. American’s are too stupid to understand how some people can miss each other that is why if we will not receive our K-1 visa we will get married soon not legally according to American’s stuuuuuupid law. I am lower here and I know how some things should be done and I can not afford to wait so lond because some fat fucki…..g stupid smelling so bed American’s Officer is working like piece of shi….t America for me honestly is nice but l
aw system is so bad now…I hope that someone can see how USCIS is illegally and how bad it is….

PATHETIC!!!!!!!! Your a real piece of work. If American law is so bad, stay in Poland. But I feel sorry for Poland with your attitude.

You know I am from poland, but from five years I am leaving in Norway. I thing that Poland Isworth the same as Stupid America Maybe little more, but is only for me....

I can understand that you are flustered. I want to tell you something… Few months ago we were with my father in France to buy some wines. We have the biggest company in Poland which is importing wines from all over the Europe.., but whatever We met some guy. He was owner of small company producing wine of course in charming France. We talk to him about contract and then our lower prepare CONTRACT… it is for 10 000 000 EU for 5 years…It took for him a few hour to say yes or no…So I am asking you Why FOR 455 STUPID AMERICAN’S $ THEY CAN NOT KAKE DECISION…WHY CAN YOU TELL ME INSTADE OF GLORYFI THIS WHAT EVE NOT SUPID!!! AMERICANS ARE NOT GLORYFI please answer me and look through you eyes because instead of America we have the whole world…consider this

Immigration is a privilege, not a right.

What kind of privilage....For me I thing and I feel like I am changing myself from 21 age to 17 age I am sorry for all Americans, but I feel in this way...

Would someone PLEASE change his diaper !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there!! I understand where your frustration is coming from. But i think, its not proper for you to call Americans stupid, its not that iam being biased or whatsover but waiting for a couple of months now doesnt give u the right to be rude to everyone. WAITING AND BEING PATIENT IS MERELY NEEDED in filing a petition. And being away with our fiance/spouses is never easy and everyone who is waiting, knows exactly the pains that you are going through..So that means, you are not alone in this whole waiting thing! BTW, just incase u dont know, members of VJ are either getting married to an American, or already married to one or American themselves. So better drop the name calling!! and Oh! one more piece of advice, I think it would be best for you, to marry your American partner and just live in Poland or Norway or wherever with your spouse. bec i dont think you fit to live in AMERICA where everyone is AMERICAN that u call stupid... Grrrrrrrrr!!

YUP! NOT DENIED! delayed but not denied! smile.gif

Thanks!! i needed that line to make me feel relieved!! God bless you.

Sorry to have frightened any of you.

Our blue slip was an actual denial. We have been fighting through this since Jan 12th. We are still waiting to be told rather we need to file a waiver.

We were not missing any documents. We were flat denied with a code and its something we are working through now.

I didn't know there was another blue slip out there, so sorry again for that.

Best of luck to you all.

No worries. Its ok no need to apologize. Im sorry to hear about your case. I guess colored papers means differently according to Country. Anywho, I hope youll be able to hear something about your case so that u could do something about it and be with your loved one again. Take care and God bless
