These were the only things on my checklist. It must be different per country... OK, I see what the problem is. NVC document requirements are different for Canada, Albania, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Africa. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Error found in DRAFT I-129F	I found an error in the DRAFT I-129F form already. If you look at instruction #10 (for Spousal K-3), it still says to include documents in instruction steps 3, 4, and 6 (omitting 5). However, due to the additional IMBRA instructions, these numbers should have changed to 5, 6, and 8 (omitting 7) respectively. Not sure if this can be brought to USCIS's attention... What kind of person would not make sure they are doing everything correct before taking a final step??? Boy thats your carelessness, not a mistake. Any responsible person would've checked USCIS website before sending a form. Anyways Good Luck. I sure hope you're kidding because if you look at the date on my original post, you would see that the new I-129F form was only made publicly available on the USCIS website the VERY SAME DAY I mailed out the petition. At the time, there was no information on if or when the new form would become available so rather than chance it, I submitted the old form to "hold my place in line". So no, it was not a mistake, and definitely not carelessness on my part. Bad timing, perhaps... but my "mistake" probably put me in line ahead of you. Anyway, thanks for the lecture. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Just got email RFE	phong_mai, I apologize for the beginner's question, but I notice that you'd submitted your I-129F on 06/15 and for that kind of date I'd assume you would've used the new I-129F form. And yet, you you think you received a RFE for IMBRA? I thought the RFE for IMBRA is only for people who submitted the old form and are missing the information asked for in the new form? Am I missing something? Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks. Actually I had impatiently submitted the old form. The new form was only made available on June 15th. So the have to send you the IMBRA. How long does it take? I am applying right after my wedding in August for a K3. The new I-129F form (available on the USCIS website) has the IMBRA questions already on it. As long as you use that form you won't get an IMBRA RFE. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Anyone else with the new 129(f) getting a TON of touches?	Can anybody help me understand how to find out if i was touched or not.? I have my portfolio account with USCIS which has two cases I-130 and I-129. I have my "email on" which means that i should be getting emails from USCIS but I have never got any email and i check my account 10-15 times a day on average. It says that RFE was sent which i have received and send back as most of you on July 3rd. But how can i see that my case was touched or not. Each time i see this word...it simply drives me crazy . I am not sure when they becme available, but if you used the new form you may not get an RFE, with that being said you just may have to wait until processing is complete. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	No Confirmation that they recieved my RFEs	yes I used delivery confirmation so atleast I know it was delievered If you are sending to the Lees Summit in MO which is a PO BOX addy, there was a thread and for the life of me I can't remember where, but someone pointed out that sending it delivery confirmation will actually slow it down a bit because when a postman goes to deliver, there isn't someone standing there at the PO BOX waiting. Therefore, the post will be taken to the post office and a notice will be left in the box. Then you have to wait for someone to go and pick it up. Sorry if that seems so dim but only want you to be aware of how it works. I have sent my first RFE back with confirmation delivery and have yet to hear back either. WHen I read the other thread, I just winged it and sent it via regular mail. So here is keeping our fingers crossed. lol LJ This is true if you're using Signature Confirmation. Delivery Confirmation alone shouldn't slow it down because the postman simply scans it before dropping it into the mailbox. I've experienced slowdowns using Signature Confirmation where the post office would try to deliver on a Saturday and would have to come back on Monday since most businesses are closed on Saturdays. This was before I knew about the K-3 visa so when I found out I needed it again for the I-129F application, I just used correction tape and changed "I-130" to "I-129F". I had previously made up my mind to pursue just the CR-1 since I was making decent progress on it. However, with news of the K3 at the embassy I'm unsure if that's the best course of action. I guess if the K3 will beat the CR-1 by one or two months, I would prefer to wait for the CR-1. If longer, who knows... how much longer do you think it will be for each path? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	which will occur first with I-130?	it's been 2 weeks since they have received my I-130 and still no check cashed or NOA1. what should i expect first? i'm trying to leave to go back to philippines but i can't coz i'm worried there might be an RFE. if there is, i can't do squat 8,000 miles away. i was thinking of doing a DCF when i go next month. maybe i'll feel better once i can start tracking the receipt number I think it all depends... My check for my I-130 petition cleared yesterday but I still haven't received a NOA1. But looking at other members' timelines, I see that the NOA1 will sometimes come before the check clears. NOA1 or NOA2? If NOA2, You can contact the NVC automated hotline at 603-334-0700 and enter your receipt number from USCIS to see if they've received your case yet.
