Perhaps there is a government site from Morocco which can help, or your fiance over there can inquire at the local registry office? The biggest concern now really is the snow that is forecasted for Thursday night. He is afraid his flight will be canceled or delayed...and I am afraid that since he only has 2 hours in Chicago, he won't make his connection there (depending on how much time he spends with the nice customs and immigration people). I know it says it's for K-1s, but really, it's useful for anyone who has a relationship with a US citizen because they need to show more proof of ties to their home country. The most important thing I would emphasize is the itinerary which shows the return ticket and anything about his job etc. On the other hand, the CBP officer's decision is going to be on the preponderance of evidence - for example, one time Nik visited and his printer broke, so he couldn't print out the itinerary (remember how I just said that was most important??) and he still got in with all of his other evidence, like the letter from his boss giving him time off for 2 weeks etc. Anysway, here it is: visajourney.com/content/k1visit Good luck! This lawyer got his forms wrong, the I-134 is not an enforceable contract nor would it be the form that is used in a spousal visa case.  It's the I-864 that would be used and this is enforceable.   Sorry, I have been working with a K1 and did not specify to him spousal vs fiancee. Last time I checked, you can be married AND go to college. I plan on going to college. You people are no help, just like USCIS. All they have done is give me a run around. Telling me something here, then another worker telling me something different. So I figured maybe I could come here and try and get some answers, because when I called USCIS they told me that I needed to contact the US Dpt. of State to obtain information about a CR-1 Visa. So I called, and was told I need to look at USCIS and I quote, "read the I-130" I didn't call to be told to read some form, I called wanting to know specific information. And apparently specific, CORRECT information is unattainable here on visajourney as well as the USCIS and US Dpt.of State. This 'geezer' decided to ask an attorney friend about this for you. In his opinion "The petition would probably be invalid even if the marriage is valid because a minor would not be able to be held to the conditions of the I-134 affidavit of support. Under federal law and various state laws a contract with a minor is not enforceable. Someone who has not yet reached the age of majority cannot sign a legally binding contract, some exceptions are made in the cases where legal emancipation has been processed through the court. This is because a minor can disaffirm a contract made, no matter the case. The I-134 is a binding legal contract between the federal government and the petitioner with conditions, rights and responsibilities. When a contact is disaffirmed the entire contract must be disaffirmed. in this case it would require reversal of the entire immigration process without condition or penalty, which is also not permissible under federal law." There is MCUH more in question due to age than just the minimum age requirements for marriage. Unless legally emancipated a minor (under 18) cannot engage in a federal contract without the written consent of a parent or guardian. The nature of most of the CR-1/K-1 documents do not provide allowance for written parental consent. It will probably rejected even if the marriage is legal. Another concern is the financial ability and stability of the applicant. While a cosponsor can be used if the income requirements are very close to having been achieved the petitioner is still of primary responsibility and parental consent is not a factor. The interview will also primarily focus on validity and ability in the opinion of the interviewer. You’re working very hard to convince PRO-VISA people of the validity and ability of your situation, it will be a 1000 times harder to convince an interviewer. The advice to see legal advice is the best. As a group we are mostly against the need for legal help in the process. If I'm the person who filed or is filing the Form I-130, Petition for my husband; 2. My husband is the only person I am sponsoring and listed on the Form I-130 petition; 3. The income I am using to qualify is based entirely on my salary or pension and is shown on one or more Forms W-2 provided by your employer(s) or former employer(s). I'm double checking all my forms.. If the case is at USCIS or the NVC, there is nothing the US Embassy can do to speed up the process. Pregnancy is not an acceptable reason to speed up the process. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Clarifying the I-130 Process....	If you wait for our government to mail anything you will waste at least 6 weeks. Did you fill out the form with email addresses? I got email when it was approved and I checked the uscis website often. I set up email alerts thru their website so they would email me the approval. When are you visiting him again? I had my husband fill out the forms with me and I took them back to USA with me. So when I got the NOA2 everything worked out perfectly. I had him get his military and police cert while we were together and it expires in 3 months in egypt. We agreed it would be best to get it then and maybe get another one in 3 months if we did not get NOA2 by the time it expired. I left him august 29th and got noa2 1 month later so I had all documents ready for NVC way before they gave me my numbers on the phone. you need NVC number, Invoice number and need to give your email addresses again. I completed NVC in 13 days from the date I finally got my numbers. (It took 19 days for me to get my numbers but now people are waiting a month) Please search VJ for LingChes shortcuts. Most of it still pertains. Study it often and be prepared. Do not rely on VJ members to just tell you what to do next. Be proactive! lol It makes things much quicker. Some people stay at NVC about 2 months and others can stay there a year. Good luck!! please read and read alot. Yes, we're preparing our packets and everything. I'm visiting my husband in April, I'm pretty sure we'll be completing our documents together and being proactive like you said.. I will be notified by mail, I (Petitioner) will receive a packet from NVC to submit I-864 and my husband will be receiving a packet to complete his Medical and Police Certificate. Once I'm done gathering everything for the I-864, I can mail all evidence documents back to NVC in NH. I do not have to wait on my husband's paperwork to be completed because he'll mail his paperwork to the US Embassy. When my I-864 is Approved, NVC will forward our case and paperwork to Tunisia. Did I miss anything?? Anything else required in my I-864EZ Packet?? - $88.00 Fee - I-864EZ Form - 3 most recents checkstubs - 2011 Federal Taxes and W2's - Employer Verification Letter Would I have to submit 2010 and 2009 Federal Taxes too?? From looking at the other timelines we have about 2.5 to 3 months to wait for the I 130 to be complete. I am one that like to have everything in order ahead of time. as you said, I would rather have more than needed than not. We have marraige certificates in French, English and Arabic Notarized by the Embassy and registered in Kairouan, married in Hajeb Layoun with her (suprizingly a lady preformed the marraige) notary stamp as well. We had to get permission from Kairouan "president" to marry because Saif was not yet 18 All these pieces of info such as the 3 passport picture (most only ask for 2) is EXACTLY the little things I need to know! I have read many replies concerning the I-864 form (depending on which form you're elgible for...) QUESTION??? If I print & complete the correct form and have gathered all docs, just awaiting AOS Packet.. Can I just cut and paste the barcode off the form to speed up the process and mail it out??
