I was only curious about the legal status if the AoS is not filed within the 90 days, and this has been answered. We have every intention of filing this well before this, as I would like the best of everythign for my fiancee. I am sure this will not be a problem, but it never hurts to be over informed in case of something unforeseable. Thanks again! Some members have replied in the past that no big deal in not filing promptly, we did not have that opinion from our IO at the AOS interview. She specifically said good, you filed in the 90 days. Not having a current I797 you cannot in most states have a DL etc, as states move toward the enhanced drivers licenses the DL is tending to expire with he GC, I94 dates etc.. Since the mother is not your fiancé, I would go with something other than the N/A answer fiance's use. I think it should say "Intend" and list something brief. Also the best K1 London info is in the pinned thread in the UK forum. All these things have been asked, but you need to read from the beginning. The petitioner is the supporter not the immigrant. Once you are married and in the USA and have a 6 figure income, what a lucky guy. 3. The petitioner needs to verify the income, and is liable for your support until 40 quarters of earnings are established. That is why many co-sponsors are reluctant. 4. You can supply the bill showing long distance calls, Skype etc. is easier you can print out some conversations, along with cards, letters, emails etc. I would become more familiar with the K-1 guides and look at the Ireland postings for peculiar items need for your neck of the woods. Also WIKI has some excellent postings on all of this. Some one who did this from Ireland should and will shed light on your situation. A little confusing in the beginning. In our case, we met in person, I lived in her country, we spent nine months living together, and the last picture I took in Mongolia was the two of us at the airport. I think I have a pretty solid case. She doesn't even know what facebook is, doesn't have the internet, but we still talk on the phone and I can prove that. I think worrying is just the way that I can make the time pass and feel like I'm doing something while I wait for the people I love to join me. So long as the CO is willing to look at the case as any normal person would, there's nothing I can think of that would lead them to consider it a sham. As for the money situation, my current salary is more than 125% of the poverty limit. However, I have not had this job for over a year, and my taxes will show much less (I was living in Mongolia, after all.) Therefore, I'll show pay stubs and a letter from my employer. I don't think it will be a problem. The only issue is that our relationship could be viewed as unconventional. She is older than I am by 11.5 years and has four children. She doesn't speak English. I'm from an upper-middle class family and she is from a poor district in Ulaanbaatar. These are some of the things which made me love her, though, as it has turned her into a very mature, kind, drama-free, understanding person. I'd like to write such things so that the officer can understand why I would fall in love with this person as opposed to someone younger and well-educated, as most of the Americans who I know who had relationships with Mongolians do. I hope they have an open mind enough to realize that everyone looks for different things in a partner. You are dealing with the slowest office of USCIS. 3. You don't know what problems, challenges or delays might alter the timing. My advice is to - Get your deposits back so you can sleep at night - work solely on the issues that need to be worked on to get your fiancee here - go to a Justice of the Peace when your fiancee arrives - (every city has many of them) and get legally married to meet the requirements - while planning the best wedding in the world together. This will take the pressure off of you - because it is a fact - you don't know when you can have that big wedding yet! Good luck to you!
