No not yet, NVC and the consulate keeps giving us weird replies after telling us that the case was being forwarded to Brazil :( We keep calling NVC and DOS but no case # yet, or petition received at the consulate... sucks big time :( .. but oh well, we might have some good surprise soon! :luv:


NVC did get your case right? Do you know if your consulate is backlogged? Hopefully soon you'll hear something.

Between our work timings and the phone connections being so bad, I only get to talk to her over the weekends. I could try to text msg her but I'd rather tell her over the phone, but I've been telling her this could come soon so it won't totally surprise her. I alreay told her to get her police reports and all that stuff. Besides we have too much fun talking.

Thea, I've noticed there are a lot of frogs or something hanging around your signature and they seem to be crossing their fingers and toes.

Well hopefully that blood mary recipe of yours will get you your NOA2, either that or it seems like it would make one dizzy for sure! :lol:

Yes you was very right DeeDee!!! Yeah I double checked and read everyting on the letter questionairre they send me, and also made sure even made sure they didn't make it a trick question, like Have you NEVER been convicted instead of have you EVER been convicted! :rofl:

Hang on DeeDee you are getting closer and closer. USCIS does not make it at all easy for you to get any info out of them. I haven't tried calling them but they are known to tell you nothing until your case is 6 months over, and they will insist it takes 5 months to process and you have to wait a month after that before they will do anything.

I think yours will come soon. Usually bran new filers who are clean as far as background and everything will get done quicker then others, and even if they knocked somebody's tooth out! :rofl:

Good Grief, what a relief!!! I got the RFE letter and it says I forgot to check yes or no on page 3 part c question 2 of form I-129F about past criminal activity, violence and all.

Thats it, thats it! OMG, bless you USCIS adjucator, you could have been really nit picky about all the other stuff but you weren't and you gave me a simple Get Out Of Jail Free card and Pass Go and collect a fortune in gold while you're at it!!! :dance: :dance: :dance:

Got my NOA2 in the mail (no email) today dated 11th.
I129 was accepted on March, 11th.

Letter says that it was forwarded to the 'listed consulate'. There is no consulate named anywhere on the notice -- is this the reference to the consulate on the application?

Also, I was under impression it should go to National Visa Processing service center first?

Congratulations! It goes to the consulate but stops at NVC first. The letter never mentions NVC. You can start calling NVC in a week or so but it probably takes at least 2 weeks.

They sent me an RFE, they wanted a better picture which was easy to do. I never heard about VSC so I called and they said the wheels are turning, woohoo!


Congrats on getting past NVC, now just a matter of getting all your paperwork together and getting the interview date, and then you'll be home free! B-)

HELLO my fellow March filers, i just want to let you know that i called US Embassy Manila to clarify my Police Clearance from Dubai and they said i don't need one coz she said according to Reciprocity,

Available, only if applicant is physically present in the UAE.

Not available by mail. Post recommends that consular officers waive the general requirement to obtain police certificates unless the applicant lives in the UAE.

I'M sorry Looky, but the other's are right, soon after you reply to the RFE you'll get your NOA2. Sometimes it's just something little - I know a guy who got an RFE for writing "N/A" where they wanted him to write "none" :wacko: :blink:

Actually you guys are right, half of me is feeling good that I heard from USCIS and its only this RFE in the way. I got evidence in my bag pf tricks somewhere, but first I guess I have to see what they're complaining about. Who knows maybe they just overlooked something or just want a second, more thourough explanation from me.

From what I've seen of RFE's lately, you get your approval not long after they get what they're looking for. No ideas what it might be? Probably more info to prove relationship?? I hope it's something you can provide super fast to them so that you don't have to wait long.


Thanks Thea, I'm not really worried about the delay, cause we're going to have to wait till the middle of September so its not too warm for the dog to travel in the cargo hold.

Just I suspect its something I didn't think of when I left Latvia after seeing her. She lives in Cyprus but we both went to see each other in Latvia. I think it might be to prove that we were both in the same place. We got lots of pictures together and also with her family and lots of receipts from when we went out shopping together, and sent those with the petition. But how to prove if you take out the pictures & dates that we were together.

One thing that might work is that when I was there I had her get the new e-passport so she could travel on VWP when I was there. The passport has the starting date of when I was there which proves she was there because she had to get it there in Latvia and I think I even have a receipt when we had to pay yhe fee at a bank.

Well I can't be sure what it is, but for sure I'm going to give it my best to get them as much as I can and I guess very good explanations.

The other thought was I had to file a waiver cause I filed for her before, 4 years ago, so they might want some sort of evidence there.

Oh well I guess at least I'm not in something like background check, and maybe like you said soon get approved after submitting the evidence. ;)

Well folks, I got an RFE today, not real happy about it. I did just about everything to avoid it, but they gave it to me anyway. Well I'll just have to wait and see what the hard copy says, but I can't imagine it'll be an easy one to fix. Oh well onto the next waiting step.

Well, I had some previous plans before to help me waiting for the visa.. but now, I guess I won't have time enough for that, I'd apply for driver license and a temporary job at the international airport here ( go figure, I'd know everything about POE :devil:), but now I'm so praying we still can get my interview in September, that if that happens I wouldn't have time enough to do so :wacko: , so I'll just wait for more good news and get everything ready in advance for my interview.

Most people usually get the text and/or email, the system has problems so for some people it doesn't work at all and for others it works a little. Don't let this stage freak you out, the bulk of them haven't been approved yet.

The NVC process is usually about 1+ weeks to a month or so, so there's not much status on it, It seems extremely random. Here is somebody's post on how to get thru to NVC in case somebody needs it.

Hello my fellow March VJ filers. After all the stress and headaches Ive endured during this journey, I finally got some good news. Berry and I were approved today. :dance: :dance: :dance: After compulsively checking the USCIS website, I checked one last time after having lunch. The site stated I was in Post Decision activity. I exit out of the site and went back again. Surprisingly it said it again. APPROVED!!!!! I couldnt believe my eyes. While in the middle of teaching summer school and having to contain my emotions, I had a teacher step in my room for a few minutes to call Berry. I was crying and he was just as happy as ever. God is good everytime!!! My VJ timeline stated, July 13th -July 30th. I beat them by one week. SO now, work to do, getting my job letter and taxes together. I will be in Jamaica in exactly 30 days, but doubt he will have his interview before then (Im hoping he does, maybe I should braiding my hair some more)? I will bring all the necessary paperwork he needs when I go. Thamks to everyone that's been there for me through the bitching amnd complaining (Carolina - who got approved today also!!!) and Nema. I will continue to pray for the my March filers that you will all be approved by the end of this week. You guys are all awesome :yes: :yes:

I just returned from Haiti visiting my fiancee. As I posted some where else I wish I read all this before I left on my trip. What's up March filers? Hope you all are having a great weekend. I'm having some hard time over here, my computer crashed and I'm freaking out, since I have about 8gb with pics and videos of my hubby-to-be and my son :crying:

Hopefully you got your computer running again but if it keeps crashing I would think about copying all those images and videos onto a CD/DVD or some other storage device.

I moved all my furniture to a new apartment and getting ready with all the paperwork for my fiance after the approval I will be learning about 2 weeks from now! :dance:

But in any case I found that we wouldn't be able to fly her and the dog to America until the middle of September cause two big american airlines won't take animals in the cargo bay when the temperature is 85 F (29.5 C) at the destination POE. Oh well can't risk the poor dogs health, stuck in a cage in the cargo bay for all that time.

Happy 4th everybody, we got real fireworks going off tonight and virtual ones going off the rest of the month!!! :dance: :yes: B-)

:P Well actually its no secret, they show you on dashboard.uscis.gov, we were lucky enough to have filed during the up trend. CSC and VSC alternate. I think the peak for VSC is in July and then the trend will be to slow down and CSC to take the lead in September or so.

Of course people won't be satisfied until they get their NOA2, but I think we'll see a lot more in July and back down to this months level in August. People will argue out of frustration but we're going exactly the way the trend predicted.

So don't forget to cross you fingers, cross your toes, and cross your hair (braid it) as it has been proven that it increases the likeliness of NOA2! :rofl:

w two march filers got approve today..03/10..wow congrat to them..


Yeah I think thats pretty amazing, in the past it averaged 6 - 7 months and here its not even 4 months and people are getting approved!

Hello my vj family. I noticed that 2 people got approved wit my 3/10 date. I wasnt able to check uscis all day until a few minutes ago. When i checked i thought i was person #3 with the 3/10 date :( sorry to say it wasnt me. Im hoping in the days it will happen. Havent been in the best of moods lately. Lets continue to pray and braid our hair for the march filers that are patiently waiting for there noa -2


Yeah NOA1 dates aren't the sole thing determining when you get approved. Like say March 10 petitions, they are spread out throughout VSC adjucators and some of them have petitions dates way before March so those people may not get to the March petitions till later on.

Good thing is since last Saturday, according to Igor, we've had 6 VSC March approvals so we are inching closer and closer!
