K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reportscalling cards

Thanks that sounds like a great Idea!!!

Just curious but how do a stack of calling cards prove that you called your fiance with them? Some calling cards provide access to your call logs. Without call logs there's not much proof of anything other than you called somebody, is there?

Please provide some information, what is the next step. In addition are there any Indian petitioner who is at my stage who can also give me any additional information about the next step.
My Fiance visa is approved and I am waiting for the NOA2 to arrive in the next few days.

Who will be getting packet 3 and packet 4? Me or my fiance?

She is from India. where can I find what fees she has to pay to U.S Consulate/Embassy?

Police verification forms/letter format?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 is on its way

What is that we should look for from here on wards? I got an email stating I will be expecting NOA2 in mail. Please provide any information you think it is valuable. Thanks. -Nathan

In general NVC will issue you a case nuber for your embassy and forward your package to them. What information and things they need from you should get sent to the foreign fiance, in pkt 3. You send the required info back to the embassy and they will send you your interview date or what some call pkt4.

Also heres a link on calling NVC or DOS: http://www.visajourn...he-nvc-and-dos/

NVC can tell you they have recieved your USCIS case and DOS can tell you if the case got to the embassy and other info about your case at the embassy.

You can check your embassy info and what is required by clicking your embassy link in this link:
http://www.visajourn...ex.php?letter=I

There is another link at the top of the page where you can read reviews of people who have intervied at your embassy.

Good luck

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsTears of Joy at Interview: Visa Approved!!

To all Visa Journey members,

We heard the magic words “Visa approved” on October 12. :dancing:   :dancing: Now, with great anticipation, awaiting the printing and delivery of visa.

This post is firstly and foremost, a huge thank you to each and all the Visa Journey members who have provided us much helpful information as well as moral support all along the way of this roller-coaster ride of an experience. (Shudder to think how the experience would have been without VJ help and support. ) Secondly, we hope our good news will serve as encouragement to those still at earlier stages in the process. Yes, the waiting feels relatively long, sometimes even agonizingly so, but the feeling when the goal is achieved is indescribably wonderful and makes all the waiting worthwhile. Last but not least, our sincere wish and prayer is that each and everyone of you sincerely and steadfastly working towards your own goals will as soon as possible be able to experience similar feelings of joy and elation.

Again, many thank yous all and to you all the best of luck in each and every one of your own personal visa journeys!!!

--RK and Inday

P.S. For those interested in the actual interview experience itself, please see the review we have submitted for the Manila embassy along with the reviews of others. In short, we were over-prepared (at interview only asked were a few relationship questions, a few photos of us together requested, required documents submitted), and we would still deliberately do the same. We saw others denied for not even meeting the most basic of specified documentary requirements. Please be sure to use Visa Journey and other resources in order to be well prepared. –RK n’ Inday

Congratulation RK and Inday!!! You've conquered the most important hurdle and can finally be together in the US. The battles/hurdles never end but at least you two will be able to deal with them together and will have a new renewable source of strength within you!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNOA2 in mail without approval notification

Love Eth, Congratulations!

LookyWhatIFound, I will say I was one of the few I guess that found out by looking at the website. I was talking to Pui on the phone and decided since I think it is probably the end of work day in California I looked at the website and I had been approved 5 minutes before. If I had not been on the phone I would have gotten the email first though but I was talking on my phone where I get me email.

Congratulations to you too!

No actually I think maybe people misunderstood me a little, I think most people have their status go go Post Decision Activity but there are a few who's status doesn't work at all.

Then there's the other part of the status which just confuses everybody, cause the last updated date changes sometimes but nobody has any clue why.

So in general the status thing gives you very little info, or practically none, between NOA1 and NOA2. What would be good if they could tell you something in between but I think I read somewhere that they say to give everybody a status on their case would cause a delay in processing times.

Thank God
USCIS sent me the NOA2 without any approval notification. NOA2 was approved a week ago while I was anxiously looking for it, but it was in mail for the last 3 days while I was waiting for email or txt notification from USCIS. That don't even update my online case status whereas the petition was approved a week ago.

Good Luck for the rest of you and best wish for the coming process.

So you got your NOA2 hard copy! Congratulations!!!

The online case status have never worked right. It sounds like you may be one of those that has an Initial Review status even decades from now!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsInfoPass Appointment was a DISASTER

Im not a 100% sure about this, but if they were to get married now and her husband went back to Mexico, wouldn't they have to apply for CR1 for him to be able to go back to the US to stay? Im pretty sure that he wouldnt be able to stay for good at the moment if they got married - like the OP said, he's got a pretty good job he needs to go back to, and heck, he's got a life back home that needs to be wrapped up before moving.
Id imagine that getting married now AND STAYING would not be a good option, unless you had nothing that needs to be taken care of before moving. Getting married now and going back would me another petition, another waiting period, and more fees to be paid.
Maybe make another Infopass appointment and try to get to talk to a superior?

Im so sorry that this process is taking you so long.

Thats true and you have to let the background check finish out cause I'm sure with CR1 you would still have to go through the checks. Unfortunately they are between a rock and a hard place, when you're in background check there is nothing you can do but wait till they finish out and not even a powerful congressman/senator can allow you to bypass them.

To put it another way, I think only getting the results from the background checks will clear your/his good name.

Wish the OP the strength to get through this.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsInfoPass Appointment

Hi Looky, and thanks for this. He's just trying to figure out how much time to allow and what to expect. VSC organised the appointment and sent him a card so he wouldn't have to wait. Nothing further has happened since their decision to expedite, so its been weeks now. Hopefully we get something positive, but I don't hold my breath anymore.

Hope things are well with you guys... (F)

Well thats unusual, VSC organizing the infopass appointment! That is pretty unusual so I wouldn't know what to expect either and somebody at VSC has obviously talked to the local USCIS office. I don't know maybe there's some confusion about something and they need to clarify it with Kevin, or something? Seems something is up, but no don't hold your breath, you'll only turn blue and they take their time to get back to you.

Let us know what happens! (F) Oh we're doing fine, even though she still doesn't remember much. She's going to go see a hypnotist on Monday, and he's going to evaluate her and see if he can help her.

I'm wanting to find out from anyone who's had an Infopass Appointment or knowledge of the system whether they run strictly on schedule or is it necessary to allow extra time if it is more likely that they will be late?

Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Andie, as you know its been a long time since I went, but I did have to wait a little, but it wasn't a real long wait. Its like a govenment office, like the motor vehicle agency. They have a couple clerks that handle different cases, and you wait for the clerk that handles your type of case to become available and call you.

I'm sorry it still hasn't panned out for you yet. I hope they give you something to go on.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

Hi Andie, nice to hear from you! Yes we are married now, but no, unfortunately Loreta is still in England. The details I was mentioning was about now getting set to prepare for the IR1 / CR1 process to get her a Visa.

We gave up on Cyprus, she still doesn't remember Cyprus. So even doing the K-1 was sketchy cause she lived so long in Cyprus. So I decided that I'm tired of going through a process where I need to prove we have a relationship. So now we only have to prove that we have a real married relationship.

I had tried initially to get the K-1 case transferred to London but then it seemed to have gotten there but then they sent it back to USCIS in the 'Post Decision Activity' state. Now I sent my Local USCIS office a letter telling them, with proof, that we are married now so we need to cancel the K-1 case.

How are you Andie? I hope you are seeing some light in whatever peace you are now searching for. Take Care and best wishes!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

RK, how's it going? I purposely didn't post until it happened for real and not just another Boy who cried wolf story! Well we did it, Loreta and I, we are married!!!

July 26th 2014 was the date. Actually I got a scary thought 3 weeks ago after we had scheduled the marriage with the registry and planned out all the dates and everything. I read something on the net about UK requiring you to get a 'Marriage Visitor Visa'. I was like, nooo way this can't be happening! I called the marriage registry and they said they don't check and don't care how you get in the country. So my hopes were back up again! :D But then I looked at the VJ site and none of it cheered me up except for one post that said those rules were changed in 2012 or so. I looked at UKs border guard site and it said the visa was required! :bonk:  But then the Visa itself said it wasn't for people in transit to another country   But actually maybe that works cause I go to UK stay for 8 days with Loreta to give me the 7 day residence there so we can give the registry the marriage notice. Then there's a 15 day waiting period so we plan 11 days in Latvia. Then we come back to the UK and get married and then I have to go back to US to get to my job. So you know what I would say I am there in transit!

But in any case I decided best to keep it quiet, and say nothing about marriage to the border guards cause it seems they're not quite sure of the rules themselves so who am I to sway their minds. Anyway I told them the truth, was staying in UK for about a week and a half and the going to Latvia with my friend and then returning to go back to the US. Anyway no problem with the guards and the marriage and all the timing of the trip and all went like clock work   So now to enjoy the moment and deal with the other details and more details when I feel like it! B-)

Hope all's well on your end!

RK, finally I'm getting back to responding. I got busy with a bunch of things and you know how it goes ... Wow thanks for all the praise and support of Loreta's and my relationship and the ACCT acronym and all! ACCT describes it perfectly! :) We're moving ahead with the marriage plans for about 2 months from now.

I think you and Inday must be getting finished with the ROC and hopefully both of you are doing well. But you know in life it never stops, you may be at the end of on stage but there's always another stage waiting. The way to go is to enjoy the journey to the goals, as the goal posts will keep moving and/or the goals will keep changing! ;)

RK, nice to hear from you and glad to hear all those issues are over for you and all is ok now yes.gif . Glad you two will now have a chance to be together more often and Inday can chauffeur you around for a change! tongue.png  Well the cruise ship was a thought but I think it won't work out for us. There's only one that takes dogs however it takes 7 days to go from Southern England to New York, and the dog mostly stays in its little kennel, there's some play time and you can go be with the dog but not allowed in your room. If it was allowed in the room Loreta would have been thrilled about the idea. But we're planning on the marriage route now, IR1/CR1 instead of K1. The K1 would have been faster but Loreta seems to have blocked the memory of Cyprus from her mind and that's like 7 years of her life. That fact makes me a little uneasy about the K1 interview. I mean like what if some question comes up in the conversation about Cyprus and she cannot say anything about it? Loreta's never had any success in convincing people that she lost her memory of anything. Once you're married the interview process would no longer be about proving how you met, and that we actually want to get married, It would just be about proving that we have a relationship like a married couple. So that's the plan now, this summer she and I get married in England! kicking.gif Well there's no choice on the "stick-to-it-ivness" she's the only one. Besides the best things in life, I've found, are those that you've had to work really really hard for. Take care, my friend.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

I found a cruise ship that will go to New York from England, she said she was open to that idea cause the dog will be taken care of and we have daily access to visit the dog. The cruise takes 7 days.

I don't know if you are the petitioner or beneficiary in your case. But if the petitioner feels the embassies decision on the AP was wrong then they should find out the congressman for the US district they live in, or their senator and ask them to look into it. Believe me they have some authority in DOS / Visa matters. They have their own websites. Good luck!

LookyWhatIFoundMaleUnited Kingdom2014-01-10 05:40:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

She has a EU passport. There was some policeman that wanted to marry her long time ago, even though he was married. She told me she didn't want to marry him. I believe it was some sort of mess like this. Seems like somebody had it in for her and didn't want her to leave the country.

Right now don't know it could be all for NOT. Her dog is getting old and the vet says that the dog may die on a trip to the U.S. The dog means a lot to her so pursuing the K1 may not happen. So it remains to be seen what we do from here, a thought to abandon the relationship does cross my mind, but I don't like that thought an all.

Denied after 16 months is very rough. I'm sorry to hear that. Cyprus is a rough embassy because of the North Cyprus / South Cyprus conflict. I wish I had some words to say but its beyond my understanding. Good luck to you.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

Thanks for the concern Ebunoluwa but don't really want to talk about this stuff anymore. The Visa lady's, and I use the term loosely, communication through emails was more like how dare you accuse us of this we don't do those kind of things. But of course every time I mentioned that the guy knocked on her new door a week after we faxed them my fiancées new address, the emails coming back seemed like she was shouting at me that she doesn't like me accusing them. The guy that knocked on my fiancees door was telling her he was from the embassy and he said he knew who I was and told her my name. He was looking through all her papers. She realized later that he stole her police report from Cyprus and the one from her home country. Whats really whacky is that the police report he stole was dated 5/2011 was the one that the police station gave us just recently when she kept requesting a police report.

So I think it was actually some crooked cop high up in authority. I wouldn't doubt it if this guy has some sort of connection to the embassy. That's the only thing which would explain the leak of the information we faxed to the embassy leaking right to this cop. How the heck did he know my name?

He asked her if he could check her bedroom. She told him to leave. He left but insisting that she would be sorry for this. Her interview was the next week but he and his thugs grabbed her when she went outside and let her go on the Monday after her Friday interview.

By the way this wasn't the first time this guy attempted to knock on her door. The Visa lady admitted that they sent somebody the first time. My fiancée wasn't at home but this guy threatened her neighbors and for sure put some fear into my fiancées friend. I would say this was the same guy.

***********************************************************************************************

But like I said I don't care about this stuff anymore. Also I've known my fiancée for 12 years and personally know quite well about her health issues and memory loss issues and chose to pursue the relationship anyway. She's my best friend and nothings going to separate us even if I have to live in England. These aren't excuses she's just got very stressed in Cyprus and that doesn't help her health wise.

In general the Cyprus embassy responded to all my questions,  requests and comments. They also gave me the form for the transfer and did tell me that all my files were transferred. I wonder if they send that giant stack of emails of our conversations, well don't know. At this point don't care, what will be will be and I put up my fight.

Thanks, take care.

I'm sorry about your case. I am the petitioner and my fiancée was living in 'South Cyprus'. I don't really know but for sure they were getting the full brunt force of my emails. My fiancé also was quite sick at times, lost her memory also and that visa chief sending a thug 'investigator' to knock on her door and interrogate her abusively did not help. It was not at all her fault that she couldn't attend the interview, and I for sure let them know it.

Thanks we should do well, the ceac.state.gov site already has our status as 'Ready'.

P.S. Just for the record, It was more like 2 years and 3 months.

Well the K1 petition was completed and approved at USCIS. As long as you stay active with the embassy they have to keep it open until you either get approved or denied the visa or tell them to close it. In my case I kept it going. Also I believe what the first Visa chief I dealt with created an incident, whether it was directly her fault or not, which could have got the embassy in trouble, if I had pursued that course.

Hey RK how are you doing? I just noticed your post on here! Wow how time flies! I imagine you've turned Inday into an expert driver by now?

Things are going surprisingly well considering ....  Seven months since my last post and I've gone to see Loreta twice. The first time in England where she lives now, that was around March. She didn't quite remember me but had the feeling she knew me and we had a great two weeks!

I just got back from Latvia, about 2 weeks ago, where she and I took the same plane from Amsterdam and sat next to each other on the trip to and from her home town. We had been discussing either getting married in England. Now I've switched gears a little after emailing the Cyprus embassy to see if we can still possibly transfer our case to London. They sent me an OF-236 form to fill out and send to London to start the transfer of our case. I mailed it to London but I really don't know if its that simple, I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I hear anything from them and I doubt communicating with them will be as quick and easy as it was with the CY Embassy.

Loreta seems like a new woman these days, like she's changed for the better. Don't know maybe she was going through a middle age crisis or something. Everything's gone pretty smoothly since she got to England. She still doesn't remember a lot from Cyprus, sort of like she's blocked that memory. There's no doubt now that she hit her head quite hard and she's very lucky! So I'm still hopeful we'll get something done.

Good luck to you and Inday! Take Care!

Thanks Looky... I'm hoping the same for you and Loreta.. that Loreta has the help she needs and is better soon. She is so lucky to have someone as devoted as you obviously are. Such a battle, but I know that when you know it is right... well, you just know.

The difficult part for me now is having just been together, I don't want the next phase to be too long. It's really tough right now. Hopefully things start to move soon.

RK... your time apart must have been difficult for you both. My best wishes for the 'here and now'. Hoping the best for you always. It's really comforting to get your messages A real reflection of your special character and sensitivity - much appreciated.

Looky, also, I value your ongoing support. I'm hoping for the very best result for you and Loreta and that things move forward from now on.

Thanks so much Andie, for your support also. Oh this is feeling like it may take some time. I remember that time when Loreta got that tick bite, and reading on the internet that sometimes people have relapses after they recover. Thats exactly how this feels. She got this tick bite in a forested park next to a zoo. A tick next to the zoo could be quite dangerous cause the tick could also have attached itself to animals.

Loreta's headaches are slowly getting better and now she can go without the headache pills. I have been thinking, and talking to Loreta about it, that I want to go see her in the next month or 2. Cause if her memory isn't back by then maybe it would be better to get married. The Cyprus embassy does allow Direct Consular filing in some cases and since we have gone through USCIS already, maybe they might allow that for us? I'll have to check with the embassy and see if thats possible.

In general I feel hopeful cause we are fixing a lot of the issues that got us in this tangled web, like her constant pneumonia from her childhood days and whatever bad things that did for menatally. Stay strong Andie, you and Kevin will get through these tough times. (F)

Updates for you, RK and Andie. The doctors say Loreta still has some swelling in her head but its much better than before. I read on the net that blood flow to the head is another important factor for memory. So they did a test on her for blood flow and waiting for results, meanwhile they gave her medicine for that.

I'm hoping these next couple months will be break thru months for Andie and Kevin! RK, hopefully whatever you and Inday need to do for AOS are coming along. Good luck all!

Looky, Andie, everyone --
The Best is wished to all for this New Year!
Andie, I am so glad to hear that you and Kevin were able to see each other and spend some time together!! That is really, really neat! I am excited to hear that your motivation levels have increased substantially.
Looky, I am very sorry about the latest in you and your fiance's saga. Despite the obvious desire that her condition be better, I am glad to hear that things are not worse. That is good news that she is trusting enought to understand who you are. With the memory loss, how was it known she hit her head? Did someone find her and help her get to the doctor? It is good that she has you to guide her through this, even give her an anchor of sorts. Also, yes, it is good that you are continuing to consider alternative options and very good that options are available. Prayers still continuing...
Here, Inday and I are doing pretty good. My job took me overseas from September to December so that separation was difficult for us, especially for Inday. We had a very happy reunion just before Christmas, however! Now, Inday is still awaiting AOS results, has received work authorization (and is considering her options in this regard) and is still working on getting her driving learning permit and learning to drive [she never had to learn before because all kinds of public transportation was always so available in Philippines & Singapore]. Inday and I are both learning about being married which is quite an education in itself but a wonderful adventure :-)
Take care all, and once again, many good wishes extend to all for the coming new year...

--RK

Hi RK glad to hear you and Inday are doing well. I can imagine those 3 months you were away were quite tough for Inday, and especially cause she's used to a warmer climate. But its great thats over now!

Thanks for all your nice words. Yes what can I say, when you love someone you have to go through the ringer for them. Loreta's a tough woman, and been through a lot, She deserves better and its my real goal in life to give it to her. I've known her for more than 10 years now. I think what she's been going through this past year has probably got a lot to do with a middle age crisis, and some stress issues from her early days, like her constantly getting pneumonia in the past.

I suspected she got hit in the head somehow the day I was finally able to talk when she was finally able to answer her phone. She sounded, oh so terrible, groggy and tired and I think barely got to talk for a minute or 2 before I had to tell her to get some sleep. The night when she had this incident, she texted me that she is in the hospital. It turned out that she left her dog with her neighbor and telling her that she had to go to the hospital. Her neighbor brought Loreta back 5 days later. Well anyway this neighbor is now Loreta's roommate. Which is actually good cause I prefer Loreta not being alone in her current state.

The doctors at the hospital scanned her head and thats how they knew she hit her head. There's a little more, when she gets very stressed, or maybe its her minds last attempt to avoid getting sick. Her mind sometimes gets her into this sort of sleep walking state where all she wants to do is clean things. Unfortunately on that night in question she took a broom outside and got bitten by a dog. I know that sounds funny but its the truth. So far I've taken up learning a little hypnosis and I've tried 2 little things on her and actually they seem to work. So, since I'm the one who knows her better than anyone else I think I should take up the challenge to cure her of these issues, especially cause they're probably from long lingering issues that really need to be put to bed now.

Take Care, RK, and Andie's got her motivation back! Happy new year everybody!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

Well now back in NZ from Canada... I had a couple of days with my brother in BC and flew on to Ontario. We were foiled by the snow storms over in the east when Kevin was held up for a day and my flight was delayed. BUT we did have some time together and wondered how we had survived so long apart. Anyway, we are trying to chase things again. I came back through BC again and had a few more days there before coming back to NZ. Exhausted with all the flying but we are even more motivated and ready for the next battle. Hopefully not too long now.

How is everyone? Looky, have you been away yet? Any other news?

Hi Andie, I'm so glad you got to see Kevin again and got your motivation back!
I was planning to fly over to Cyprus tomorrow. But again something happened and I had to cancel the interview that was going to be at the end of the month. An unfortunate combination of things stressed her out, like her landlord all of a sudden saying with 2 weeks notice that she must leave her apartment and a agent saying there were no places right now, and who knows what else. So somehow her head got hit again, its been a month since and she's still taking pills for her head. Even worse again is that she lost her memory again. Her memory loss is not like the ones before as this time she remembers no one, not even her mother or father, but maybe cause this time its probably from a concussion. Fortunately I didn't have much of a problem convincing her who I am and we are waiting for her head to get better and then see whether her memory starts coming back naturally. I'm starting to think about other side options, especially for if her memory doesn't come back soon, like before. Like marrying her over there. We will see.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarch 2011 Filers..

Andie - You are welcome. I admire your stick-to-it-iveness in the face of everything and over the time period. Although not as long as you have, Inday also had to decline various opportunities pending hopeful outcomes during this process. Stand firm, Andie; we are cheering you on, you will make it, it ***will*** all work out OK in the end. --RK

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays, Andie, RK and all!
RK - Yes the embassy has been nice to us, although I did let the previous K-1 chief know I didn't appreciate how they handled some things.

Even now there's some unnerving issues that came up but I'm fighting and handling them the best I can. Just to give you a hint, I've taken up learning hypnosis.

Yes Andie, what RK said, hold on and I'm glad you'll be meet Kevin in Canada! That for sure will give you the strength and motivation to keep up the fight!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionTopic reposted

Ok guys. Here is the situation. I'm going through VCS and I have my case pending since Feb. 13th. It was last touched on Feb. 22nd. I don't know if I will be asked for an RFE or not but I applied for the case to be processed at the Bulgarian Consulate in Sofia. I'm an International Student here and a graduating senior, therefore I have an expiration date of my visa as being May 30th 2007. Now I really don't know what to do. If it's going to take forever to get an NOA2, should I change to the Romanian Consulate (it's the closest one to Moldova). Or maybe I should just wait and still hope for Bulgaria. Or should I wait 'till it gets to Bulgaria and have them transfer the information to Romania? and if i do, how do I provide the new consulate with a new adress and phone number and all that?
I want to cry. Seriously sad.gif

Just a quick thought, did you know him before you came in as a student? If not and you didn't come here with the intention to marry, I think you could if you wanted get married right here before your Visa expires and stay in the U.S.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionQuestion(s) on I-134, sponsor and co-sponsor

It means that the question does not apply to the K-1. The I-134 form is used for many Visa types. You can put N/A in the comment line underneath, as in the examples. I think it is taken for granted for the K-1 that the Foreign Fiance(e) will be supported in the U.S.

Thanks, that does make sense.
Now, I should have asked this earlier to save time and space, but oh well: so my fiancée will tick neither box considering the situation; should her mother (the co-sponsor) tick "intend", since I will be living off her resources until I can get a job? Or should she leave both boxes unticked like my fiancée?

I suppose her mother should tick the intend box, I don't know for sure, I'm no expert on this matter, but it sounds appropriate, and mention that she is the co-sponsor for you.

Hmm, well I have to admit it sort of seems like that whole question could be misinterpreted by anybody. What I personally did, was write in the comment line, N/A Since I will be marrying xxxx xxxx I will always be supporting her.
You can make some note like that so that your intentions are not misinterpreted.

Good Luck!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionQuestion(s) on I-134, sponsor and co-sponsor

I must admit I hadn't looked at the example form before posting, assuming (possibly wrongly) that it wouldn't address my question; but now that I have checked the example form, I'm still as confused as before (sorry)! The example form has neither box ticked? Is that ok to do and what does it mean?

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionds 230

hi, when will be ur interview.. mine will be this coming april 27....so i think ds 230 is not part of the k1 then cos the embassy did not mention it anyway..

There's probabably a Phillipines thread in the Foreign Embassy Discussion forum, you can ask in there, but yes, like Yodrak said, DS-230 Part 1 is normally required at most Embassies. Also its a very short form, Page 1 of 4 and 2 of 4, so it cannot hurt to fill it out so that you have it just in case.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHELP about ds 156 & ds 157

hello guys i need help here
do i need to print the ds 156 in one sheet of paper back to back like the sample enclosed in packet4? or is it ok to print it in two sheet of papers?
and lastly is it ok if i don't type my answer in ds 157 coz i tried to filled it up online but the letter space is limited, my answer is not fit and i don't want to add another sheet to complete my answer. so is it ok if handwritten only?

thank you in advance.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong... I think DS-156 should be printed back to back instead of two sheets of paper...

Why back to back? Does it say anywhere that it needs to be on one sheet? I already sent it to her in two sheets and I am sticking to it.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionother dutch embassy?

yes.. american embassy... this is ofcourse what i meant.. headbonk.gif its late...

Hey Marieke its not worth clobbering yourself on the head over it  This is a long process and you don't need to give yourself a headache over it!

Point of clarification...

The US Embassy has nothing to do with the visa issuance process... Visas to come to the USA are processed at U.S. Consulates, which in many countries, just happen to be attached to the Embassy...

Oh ok, I never did get the Consulate and Embassy thing quite figured out, and just bunched them up into one. ;)

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionother dutch embassy?

heya!

im a dutchy but living in London at the moment and i was planning to move back to holland in aug. if i decide not to (my job here allows me to save pretty good) and stay for a while longer, could i go through the dutch embassy here in London or does it have to be in amsterdam?

..just a random thought i had..

xx

Hi, the Dutch Embassy has nothing to do with this process. The U.S. Embassy is where you would be interviewing. But yes you could interview at the U.S. Embassy in London if you are a resident there. You should ask the U.S. Embassy in London if there would be any reason they would choose not to process your K-1 Visa there. Tell them you live in London, but don't mention that you are thinking of going back to Holland to live.

Also make sure that the U.S. Embassy that you choose actually does Visa processing, cause not all of them do.
This is what my Fiancee is doing as she is from Latvia but interviewing in Cyprus.

Good Luck!

US Embassy and Consulate Discussioni had my interview :(

Hi Guys

I had my interview Feb 14th 2006 for my k3, then they told me AP between 1 to 2 months, i sent during this time couple emails still pending. This time i got a message say "We will schedule you for an appointment and will notify you about the date later".

I am very depressed do you think this is a bad news or what ?

thanks

I'm sorry it did not come out perfect but it sounds like a review of your case is still going on and unfortunately you may have to wait a little longer. It isn't really bad news except that it is a delay.

Good luck, and I hope they will get back to you soon!
