Tung,
What happens to her VN passport? Lost? can't be expired, since she's just got here in a few years.
When she leaves the US to return to VN, the travel agent or airline company will def. require her to present: A Valid passport. In her case, It will be a VN valid passport which still has 6 months left til expiration date.
If she plans to RETURN to the US after her trip to VN (assumed she will), Travel Agent and the Airline will require her Valid Green Card, or a combination of an Expired GC accompanied with NOA1 from her Removal Condition application.

On the Vietnam side: I hope she didn't shred her VN passport. She can enter VN with a VN passport at anytime. If she intends to return to the US, then she will need to show her valid GC. I don't believe she can show up with an expired GC and NOA1 letter. But it's debatable. IF she just wants to return to VN and not coming back to the US, what matters if she doesn't have a GC. Given that she is still legally a VN citizen, GC or not won't stop her from entering VN.

Your GC and NOA1 only valid and matter if she wants to return to the US. Anyone disagree?

Asia: East and Pacificwhat is best postal company to use sending to vietnam
You know why it's 3 days?

You send it out to day in the US, 1/14 - It's already turning 1/15 in Saigon (that's day 1)
They ship that package/envelope on the next flight to Southeast Asia (VN) (no flight can get there less than 24hrs) (that's day 2)
Once the package arrive in VN, it gets delivered on day after it pass through customs (that's day 3)

Even if you get on the plane today, right now and bring it home, It still takes almost 3 days. Cuz, most likely when you arrive in Saigon, it's at night and nobody's open for business smile.gif gotta wait for the next morning.

So, 2 days, is an ideal they try for but realistically, no go!
Think 3....
Again, what so urgent that HCMC wants it the next day? In the end, you can't fight the law of physics, time/speed/distance can't change them! You can only do so much, can't give them what you don't have!

Good luck and I used FEDEX and DHL, no complaint

Hello all,

Kim and I are blessed with a little girl this past year. Now, it's time to go back to Saigon so the grandparents can pinch and kiss those chubby cheeks of her, webcam/photos can't satisfy the folks back in Saigon. Basically, tickets are booked, issued (printed). Waiting for the little one's passport to arrive from the State Dept, the obtain Visa for her. Getting the passport for our daughter was quite interestíng! Need to go to Sears Photos Studio for this "Passport Photo" which approved by State Dept. Try to do that by yourself at home, it's quite impossible since our daughter will not sit still smile.gif Got that DONE. Went back to the Post Office, fill out forms and pay the fees. Swearing in! Done! Should have the Passport in 2 weeks ???? Nope, it's now the 4th weeks and counting. I checked my bank account yesterday, the State Dept cashed our check for the passport fee last tuesday... yeah!!!!

So here is the question for all you who are blessed with child, how easy/difficult it was to travel to VN with a little one? Share your experience, departure, in-flight, meals, baby crying, foods, sleeping, connection flights, arrival to and from. What can and cannot be brought on board. To be specific, we flight Korean Air. Stroller/Car seat's situation???

Please share and we thank you in advance!

They usually let you check in strollers when boarding, so you don't have to carry the little one through the airport.

Kevin and Tuyen,

Thanks for your reply.... My stroller comes with a travel system (stroller+carseat) Will that count as one piece?

Yes, DPNH, he did a lousy job of presenting his "love story" to the C.O., his evidence is full of contradiction and holes to fill, so he got denied. Anyone would know that if they spend enough time on this board reading posts after posts. No need to yell at the guy... Ever thought, how fortunate we all were to find VJ before or after we file our case... we would have made ALL those mistakes he did? I know I have made a bunch of rookie mistakes during this journey but with help from the brothers/sisters on this board, things got straighten out without too much pain and suffer smile.gif

Andy777, I don't know your case, but the decision to refile is yours to make. I wrote a piece to your post last night but never posted. Regarding your situation, wait for the file to come back to USCIS. In the mean time, one way you can do is to contact your Congressman/woman, Senators, and ask for HELP or assistance. Most congressman/woman, you'll be surprised, would be eager to have their staff to assist their constituins with their immigration matters... smile.gif Don't give up yet, I think your case can be reinstated if you get some help and guidance.
