I called the NVC yesterday and they gave me a case number. When I entered it in the automated system today, the recording says "Case number not found", so I called back and this time put in the USCIS receipt number as it prompted me to do and it says "Receipt number not found" What does this mean? Im not ready to speak to a representative because I just called yesterday and got the case number... Just curious.... Thank you! HI Mstee, I filed CR1 and my info was never available via the automated system so don't stress . I always called to speak to a Rep for all info on my case ( and I called often LOL) . However the NVC only schedule's interviews one weekend out of the month for Kingston so plan on you interview being scheduled within the next 60 days or sooner. I would suggest that your husband have his CO (Commanding Officer) send a letter stating that he currently serving in active duty status and is unable to request leave at this time. If you take that to the interview, I think you will be fine. You may not even need a letter. I hadn't seen my fiance since Aug of last year due to my health conditions...I wrote a letter explaining why I was unable to attend the interview...and there were no problems with me not being there. Best wishes. Congrats on your approval! I called USCIS on 9/12/08 to apply for an expedite because of financial hardship. Of course the person who answered the phone advised it wasn't possible, but after pleading as to how others have applied as well and were approved because of financial hardship. She entered my case and provided an Expedite # and confirmed I would recv a decision by 9/17/08. NOTHING!!! No touches on line, no evidence of any movement on my case. I am pondering whether I should call them again, but I don't want to rock the boat even if you know what I mean. Any advice from the group how I should handle the expedite request is definately welcome. I am just hoping someone picks up my folder and works on this case as its great to see others getting touches and approvals with similar time-lines. It's very stressful but I have faith! K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	TRACKING Vermont I-130 March '08 Filers	HI Everyone I am new to the site, I filed my I129F a few months after I filed the I130 because I really wanted my Husband to be able to enter as a Permanent Resident, but the wait is killing us and flying back and forth every other month is becoming way too expensive. Today I checked my online portfolio @USCIS.GOV and my case for K3 was touched on 6/27/08. I was basically stalking the site everyday checking for updates but stopped looking for a few days because it was becoming depressing with no updates. LOL But VOILA today an update so there is hope! Everyone keep the faith hopefully this "touch" means an NOA2 approval is on the way . I love her with all my heart and soul. She is sleeping right now...I work late. She was sleeping on the couch downstairs when I came home, but she woke up and came upstairs as I was putting the clean, washed sheets on the bed. I just watched her sleep for awhile. I got off work early tonight, so am awake, and will get some things done here. But it is the most wonderful feeling to know she is just in the bedroom, and I will be able to go there when ready, and cuddle up to her and hold her and breath in the beautiful smell of her hair and fall asleep with her in my arms. I would have waited any number of years for her... I adore her. Thanks for any help. Phone records can be used as bonafide proof, keep all of your call records. You should be able to download them via your account online.
