My parents were robbed this week & my father's laptop was stolen. He did not have a hard drive password on it, so anyone can get to his data. sad.gif He bought a new laptop today, and I will setup the hard drive password for him when I visit my parents in 2 weeks.

My Mom has really long locs down her back so she gets the loc socks then makes some herself. I will ask her where she gets them and pick you up one! It looks like the stocking cap but come in all kinds of colors but are stretchy and enclosed so the locs don't hang.

If you have or know kids be tween the ages of 18-31 with a high school diploma, the Federal Aviation Association is taking applications for Air traffic controller school.. We all have kids and know kids in the right age group (under 31) and with some effort they could reach a salary of over $100,000 with benefits in about 3 years! You need only a high school diploma to apply and credit is given for college on the exam.

Fill out the application immediately - even if they don't know if they'd want to attend immediately - it's the federal government and it may take them months to call. The key is to apply NOW... There will be a lot of retirements coming up rather quickly and they need to line up training to accommodate these openings. It's my understanding that the FAA rarely has an open application such as this and that the jobs are coveted.
The person who shared this has a 28 year old daughter who is well into
6 figures and has plenty of time for travel/recreation and has started another career on the side. This is a great opportunity and it should Be noted that choosing a site like Anchorage or Indianapolis to train is a likely acceptance into the training program - after which you can transfer anywhere in the country that has a tower.
I hope you pass this information on to family, friends, etc.

Q...he's surprisingly calm. I mean, he's anxious to be here and be together...and he is READY to work! He's worried about stuff like traffic and how's he going to get around, and meeting new people and having to talk in front of them (he is so extremely shy--If I hadn't thrown myself on him we would've never met! laughing.gif) NC isn't all that advanced in the public transportation dept. I mean there's a bus system (that runs so crazy from when I was in DC/MD) and taxis, but mostly people drive. I think a bike and a bus pass will be the first investment. As for work, he's game for anything in the beginning. He has his heart set on being a chef, so will probably look into getting him into some sort of culinary program which can hopefully lead him into some nice places for employment. I told him to consider starting his own pool cleaning business so he knows all about that stuff and is something that he could do without a lot of the extra education stuff...he's open to it, but of course he would need his own truck for transport. He also is serious about getting his GED (thank goodness), so he'll probably be enrolled in classes in the spring I suppose.

Irie the exhaust is no joke! mine just fell apart! it had a huge hole he was able to patch in the meantime but we knew it was coming but thought he would be working before it completely mash up but didn't happen that way...... His dream is to have a shop of his own he knows so much and is working on family and friends vehicles now until we find something permanent. I was in the Midas yesterday trying to get him a gig LOL but they weren't hiring like all the rest..... When he was under the vehicle he also said the front axle and rear trailing arms need replacing and those he can do from the driveway so we have to deal with that this weekend at least its payday.

That's what I am talking about Tax time! I am so looking forward to using those funds towards to wedding in Feb. I understand where he is coming from its a recession there is an additional mouth to feed and everything has gone up, but I work hard so we can all enjoy life. I will have to abide my Hubby's decision and save as much as possible until 2010.

Oh yes the Mural arts program in Philly is very well known they are so amazing they are all over the city! I would love to see the fam come one down just me Hubby and the wayward pickney LOL

Irie I had to kick out 600.00 to have my truck repaired yesterday Ughhh and Hubby is a mechanic and does everything but since he isn't working in a shop he couldn't get it on the lift or a bay to fix the exhaust system because its needs to be welded crying.gif crying.gif I felt bad for him because he felt helpless that he couldn't do it from the driveway underneath the vehicle sad.gif I told him no matter what we will work it out the best thing is that its back up and running. Now he is saying we can't go to JA for the Holidays because funds are low and he thinks it will look a way. I don't feel that way because we have a home to say in, a vehicle and only need a likkle spending $ while we are there but he doesn't feel the same he is really concerned about the $$$......
