If you can believe it I have my Hubby using a crock pot now when he swore by the pressure cooker. But I had an accident and almost killed the cat when the top popped off so never again I can send yuh some good recipes for chicken and goat in the crockpot and you will be cooking up a storm in no time. Yum I'm coming over LOL, Hubby say I kill him wid deh sorrel though and if you can believe I have always been allergic but drink it everyday and my lips turn red ha ha I'm such a hot mess To everyone: don't let your SO male or female come here and drive your vehicle! They drive like cold hearted idiots there and ACTUALLY think they can drive better than us! Get they a** a hooptie, putt putt or whatever you call really old cars and let them ruin their own license. I love my boo but he will not drive my car when he comes. I mean when I fix it, crashed it 2 days before I left. About the HIV testing, Obama did pass a law that HIV + persons can enter the US. He said that banning them doesn't show a good example of being a good american! Heard it on the radio a week ago when I was there. I'm rolling Kjenkins cause I feel yuh, my Hubby is a mechanic and drive anything from Motorcycle to a Mac truck but Lawd he almost gave me a heart attack when mi let him drive my truck around the block from Mom's crib for the 1st time Just like it took me time to get used to driving pon deh left not to mention a right hand drive when I was a teen it takes time for them as well. Can't just jump in and think it's all good no matter how much training you have cause yuh have to be able to judge accurately. I said to him just wait and go on the weekend. He tells me "Ya got shackles on my feet" Ya no let me go nowhere" ####### I dont hold him down to go anywhere he go out with his friends all 2 of them But serious he dont have no firends to even really go out with but I was so hurt when he said that. He wanted to take my car. Hemember he only got a permit, said his friend around the corner has a license and he will be the other licensed driver. I was so hurt from his comment I let him go. Well 15 min later Im calling the friend and he still wasnt there ok. its 3 minutes away so I get worried I walked for 1 hour looking for him finally he calls me and says he got a ticket and the told him the licensed owner had to drive the car home. So it was another 30 minute walk. I am getting my exercise and diet in so I wasnt that mad. But when I got to him I wanted to Oh to the NAW I would be hotter than fish grease too, wha deh raas gwaan wid deh foolnish? Remember everything happens for a reason, so it just gave you'll more time to look at job alternatives. As far as the adjustments, they are just the norm. It's when you are no longer having fun, that would be a cause for concern. But knowing you, the fun is only getting better. Joel and I are loving and living life together. We will be taking a trip back home in Feb, for 2 to 3 weeks, to celebrate his B-day and our 2ndyear wedding anniversary. I am so looking forward to going to Ja, where there will be some heat, it's very cold here. Philly: Good luck on the re-newal of vows ceremony. I did the license, SSN, most bank accounts, most credit cards, car insurance, health/dental insurance, electricity. Still need to finish a bank account/credit card (Discover wants you to fax them your marriage license), several online investment accounts, and various membership cards (grocery stores, drug store). Someone reminded us on another thread about car title, too. It didn't used to be like that...there was no fee period whether it was less than a year or not. The will send back the old one which is a good thing, that happened when they wouldn't renew my one from a child any more and made me get a whole new one. I was using it forever and they would never have known but I filed for new pages in the book and they were like NUH SUH you need a new one and not with a pickney pic LOL I have it but they just punch a whole in it...... who has something tasty for lunch? not me I have salad! Blaaaah Im glad you guys are letting me know all this stuff, ive done my voter registration and license so far...working on my ss, passport, bank account etc... this mess is a pain in the rass.... If you've had it for longer, there is a fee (I believe $75, as if you're getting a new one). ####### hot mess at least I get a new pic LOL My doctor visit lasted less than 25 minutes, probably a record. She gave to me or prescribed Advair, nasal spray, an inhaler, an antibiotic, AND she encouraged me to continue taking Mucinex and Nyquil. So if I start talking crazy.... Thats way too much med Good Lawd mi cyaa manage dat! I think I heard 15-20 below zero wind chill temps here. Below zero temp. And, tomorrow the high is supposed to be something like 9. What I am looking at, in that page is that IF YOUR PASSPORT WAS ISSUED LESS THEN A YEAR AGO, there is no charge. But, down in the important notes of if your passport was issued more then a year ago, there is a fee for a new one. Are we not looking at the same thing? I still have a couple of things to do so I am in panic-mode. I bought the outfit for my wedding night sexy party today , bought my jewelry and the remaining items for his outfit. Now I just need to find a salon to do my hair and makeup, figure out where we are having dinner and find a tiara/veil or some type of headpiece. Its funny how I still have all of this left to do, but I have all of our entertainment plans figured out! Congrats Char tomorrow is the big day are you nervous! what are your entertainment plans? Morning all! TGIF, but I woke up to SNOW this am It's been a harder than normal adjustment back - One of my co-workers (we also worked together at a previous job, so we have been friends for over 10 years) has cancer and has been battling for a long time now - While I was away, she started a new type of chemo. Apparently, it didn't go well, and she has been very sick since - Her lungs are filling with fluid, and she has had to have them drained (2 liters of fluid at a time, she weighs all of 90 lbs). I spoke with her yesterday, and she said she doesn't think she is coming back to work again - and that she is stopping chemo. My heart is breaking - no matter what, it's like she can't catch a break - Within a 6 month window, she lost her mom, her ex-husband, and was diagnosed - now she is dealing with the stress of being ill and a single parent - she's from France so she has no other family here. Please say prayers for her - Oh Sus this is so sad, you are breaking my heart this morning I know the perils of cancer all to well..... I am saying a prayer for your friend right now I pray for her strength and clarity to move forward and deal with this and most of all that her health improves for a full recovery. Morning People! Happy Friday! Louis and I went to breakfast this morning before I had to get started on work. I AM SO SLEEPY! 1 huge coffee from starbucks and then 2 more cups at breakfast... Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin (Part 21)	I'm going to wait on the interview, my hubby wants to come home with me he said if i leave him one more time he is going to fall in depression Awee sweetie this hurts my heart , you are almost at the finish line Hey Yardies! Just passing through before I head to bed and wanted to give you a quick update! Gregory and I are doing fine. Still adjusting to each other's ways/habits on a day-to-day basis. I swear we adjust to something different EVERYDAY! But I love having him here. We're making small progress here and there. We STILL haven't gotten the greencard, but they re-issued it after it came back to them that no one lived at that address (Oh yeah--how the hell did I get all of your other freakin mail? ) We should expect it early next week. His social security card arrived in the mail Christmas Eve (YAY!) and his state i.d. arrived yesterday! So we have been putting in applications and I'm trying to put together a resume for him. He will also be able to begin the orientation classes for the GED program at the Community College on Monday, and we are BOTH happy about that! He's so ready to get out the house it ain't even funny. He HATES the cold weather and I tell him that it could be MUCH worse, but he can't even fathom anything being worse than what we're experiencing! He's bundled up all the time and I try not to laugh ALL THE TIME--but he's SOOO cute and funny. We definitely have our days when we're both like "I don't wanna talk to u right now", but we get over it, talk when we're ready, and tell each other that we love each other regardless. Sooo....long story short, we've had some ups and downs, but we're learning and pushing through. I feel like things are definitely starting to look up for us though, and I just think he'll be a lot less anxious when he "feels" like he is actually doing something productive (even though I tell him how much I appreciate his help around the house all the time). I can't imagine not being without this man ever. I love him so much, and I would go through wars as long as I'm going through them with him. Everything that we have ever been through has been all worth it, and I'm only expecting bigger and better things in 2010! Joseph told me that If I file a joint return: (so I know I can file one) 1) He'd be considered a resident alien for tax purposes 2) He needs to report world-wide income, converted to USD 3) We need to attach a statement signed by both of us containing two things: a declaration that he chooses ot be treated as a US resident for the entire tax year and our contact/ID information. Hey Nat, Yes I found that info last year as well and spoke to the folks at the IRS and was told similar info as well, however my Husband was gainfully employed but did not recv any type of statements all under table income. I didn't see the benefit in going through all of that drama anyway if we decided to pursue it. I recv 2 dependent deductions and filing jointly was not going to change my return so I followed her instructions to change my status to married but still file head of household and that was copacetic for me. Making my cover sheets now, I want to be well prepared and gather evidence along the way. The other day I was cleaning out the hall closet and found my Husbands chest Xrays from the medical LOL we lugged those all the way to the States trying not to bend them and they didn't want them at the POE . Oh Yeah Babylon no joke all about $$$$ I feel the same way about MoBay. I visit Negril almost every trip and still have a love/hate relationship with it. Negril can be a little quiet sometimes. I love Negril, well I haven't really been to the tourist spots but we have a special spot ( our secluded spot) on the beach where the locals hang and we go to the Jungle when we guh country. After the beach we head back home to Grange Hill Philly - I hope I get the email before the baby comes lol. No belly picha yet. I'll get JAEnglish (the best photographer) to do some belly shots in a few months. Shemmy one of my NY resolutions I am trying to respond to emails, FB and PM's in a timely manner I really am trying. LOL @ before the baby comes. Not to mention it was the first time I met his mother I'm far from a hoochie momma but I felt like the one the entire trip. I packed halter tops and capris and got stared at teh entire trip. She gave me theat cheeta print jacket on purpose....to be funny. I'm sure she had a black or white one. Damien thought I was going to flip but I wore it away. Oh...she said it's the one I can fit. Mind you, she's a turkey sandwhich away from my weight. My boobs are just bigger. Damien was raised Seventh Day Adventist so I asked him what should I wear. He said wear whatever I wear here. My church here is pretty causal. Well, I should have known better but decided to wear a long sun dress...mind it was 90+ degrees. My dress was black and white. I forgot my blazer so I told her I didn't feel comfortable going so she bought him a cheeteh print jacket to wear over my dress Plus I didn't realize how the dress had a keyhole so a little cleavage was showing. I had no idea you were suppose to wear stockings (not panty hose) or jewerly. So here I am sitting in church with a black and white sundress with a cheeteh print jacket with high heel strapping sandals with my hot pink toe nails showing. Plus my big silver earrings and bracelts and my hair was cornrowed up in a genie looking pontytail to the side Boy - those women gave me the most evils looks because their men kept staring at me.
