K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2010 K1 Filers	Touched again today! Tomislav is starting to think they're passing our application around to show everyone our cute pictures from fun trips or something! haha no I know I saw somewhere that anytime someone goes to lunch and comes back it can be another touch but I'm surprised that there are so many touches so early! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2010 K1 Filers	That's great that you'll be coming to visit. My fiance's also coming for two weeks at Thanksgiving. I'll be going to visit him for two weeks at Christmas. Little late to the conversation but Tomislav is coming here December 11th to spend Christmas with me here. I can't wait because we've never spent Christmas together before and I'm so excited for him to see what Christmas is like here. Just a bummer because he's going back on the 26th so we won't be together for New Year's and we've been together for the past couple of New Year's. I have to admit I am a bit nervous though because what if they schedule an interview for him or something like that during the time that he's here? Would not be ideal... Tomislav and I got the email and text today that USCIS got our application and immediately I went to check the case status on the USCIS website. It says we're under "initial review." That's standard time it takes to get certified translations. If you need the translated docs sooner, you can get it done but there will be a hefty rush fee. Why do you bother wasting your own time when you could just as easily close the window and let someone else answer? People post here because they're confused. It's great that you understand the process so well but not everybody gets this stuff as easily as you do. If you don't want to use your knowledge of the process (which I know you know a lot about) to be helpful, why even bother? I also agree JlovesA! People are afraid to post their questions for fear of being made fun of and ridiculed. Gary-You are clearly, very knowledgeable on the immigration process, but comments like the one you made earlier are not helpful or constructive, they are just plain rude. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	how does this work?	Just so you know, you can call 1-800 numbers for free on skype. You don't even need any skype credit in order to call. I know when I lived in Egypt, I had to call my bank and was able to call for free from skype because it was a 1-800 number. Maybe you can try to call from skype? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Just Looking for Advice	Hi Jared, my fiance and I felt the same way. We've come to terms with the fact that our relationship is different than a "normal" relationship and we have to speed up our marriage much sooner than we probably would have otherwise. It's hard because you imagine the proposal and the surprise of it all but at the same time, I know our love is so real and so strong because long distance relationships are so hard and the K-1 journey definitely tests the strenghth of relationships. That being said, I'm so excited to begin real life with my love and this is the best option of us to be together, for good. Good luck on your journey!
